Crack.
The already limp body of the boy Raikge would find his neck bent side ways resembling a toppled tree stricken by lightning after having been pancaked by Nobunaga's bone crushing grasp. Unwavering, the Hiyu held the now corpse of the boy he once considered an ally by his snapped neck, sternly gazing at the empty village before him. He had not wanted it to come to this but clearly, Max did not command the respect of his people nor did they take the Hound of Kiri's threat seriously. He could sense that there was no one within a 35 meter radius and he could both hear and see that there was no one even outside of that range. No one had come to the defense of their Kage. No one had come to kneel in an attempt to save the boy's life. Whether it was what the people of Kumo desired or not, the death of their leader had fallen on their inactive hands.
Nobunaga had failed in his mission. He had failed Xyxer and himself. Not only was he unable to get Kumo to surrender, he ended up killing someone he had hoped he could reason with in order to achieve the task that had been assigned to him. Instead, he delivered a crushing blow that left the boy crippled, inevitably leading to his death whether the Hiyu had snapped his neck or not. In doing so, he now made an enemy of an entire village instead of gaining their allegiance under the one banner of Kiri.
With the area vacant of shinobi and civilian alike, the Hiyu would retreat in his failure. It was quite clear that there would be no submitting at this point. Still facing the village, Nobunaga would dart backwards, knowing that nothing lay obstructing his path except for the rot fields which he had learned to traverse expertly during his time her as a Storm Operative. If something did come to obstruct his path he would react accordingly but it was unlikely for the terrain was vast and empty due to the rot fields and he would be aware of their presence far before they got within range of him. Once 100 meters out and knowing that no one had followed him for there was no one in the vacant battlefield to pursue him, the Hiyu would turn, placing the village behind him as he headed towards the border.

The village seemed to have been awakened to quite a commotion. Something was happening. Something that panicked the people of lightning. Hato was among the crowd that was confused. She wasn't scared, however, but curious on what the panic was about. It seemed that the crowd was coming back from the front gate, so that is where Hato was going to go.
Upon arriving, she noticed that there was a large event going on. One of great consequence. She watched as the Young Raikage would get struck by a hammer, that knocked him out cold. The one that swung the weapon was Nobu, a former Kumo shinobi. Hato had only seen Nobu around the village occasionally, never really thinking much of him.
The young woman felt...hurt. Angry. Upset. Why? Had she started to care about Max? Hato thought she was alone in this world, so why did she feel so passionately about Max? Why can't she just let him die and let fate take it's course? There was no denying it now, Hato cares about Max. She couldn't watch him die so young. She had to do something.
Hato quickly runs to the gate at full speed, pushing past the crowds. Nobu announces that the Raikage isn't dead yet. He offered a chance to let the boy live if they would drop their weapons and kneel. Hato stares at Nobu and starts to walk forward, giving the traitor a good stink eye. As she walks, she drops the weapon pouches with the weapons inside.and her trusty whip.
She was 9 meters away from Nobu. Her pants and boots muddied by the surroundings. She gives one last damning glare before falling to her knees, layering thick mud along her pants. The vampire looked at the ground in shame before looking back up to Nobu. "What do you want from us? You tyrant."

From his position at the village gates Ares was witnessing the fierce battle between his Raikage and Nobunaga taking place not too far from him. Not too long ago the latter had arrived and claimed the surrender of Kumogakure, calling out for Maximillian. Everyone present at the gates immediately knew it wasn't going to turn out a friendly visit. Whilst on edge they could see how their Kage came out and made it to where Nobunaga was standing. Once Maximillian had made it to Nobunaga the giant of Kirigakure once again pressed on the fact that he wished for the Little Lord to pledge his allegiance to Kirigakure. Determined not to give up his village after he just came into the position of Raikage, young Maximillian obviously refused the offer handed to him. Kumogakure wasn't going to be handed over without a fight.
So there he was, the young Pendragon. Captivated by the events going on in front of him. Both participants taking their turns trying to counter their opponent's moves a well coordinated battle had taken place. What seemed to be going on forever, was decided in mere seconds as Nobunaga's hammer had struck Maximillian, rendering him unable to defend himself. Being the victor of this battle Nobunaga called out to the shinobi of Kumogakure once more. Their surrender for Maximillian's life.
The young Jounin didn't have to think too long himself. He had already decided to follow Maximillian, no matter where the road might take him. "Get every shinobi you can find" he told the bystanders as his last order before he readied himself to walk over to where the Raikage and Nobunaga were standing. Before he knew it Ares saw a young woman out of nowhere, running into the direction of the two not so far from them. If he wasn't mistaken he recognized her as Hato, a kunoichi he had met a couple of days ago. From what it seemed it looked like the girl had the same idea as the Pendragon, surrender so Maximillian could live. Without any hesitation he immediately followed behind her.
He would slow down his pace once he could hear Hato talking to the man responsible for wounding their lord. His hand casually on his sword Ares as well arrived at the location, a couple of meters between him and Nobunaga, but close enough to Hato in case something was about to happen. Was it the dragon blood coursing through his body or his value of honor, he didn't know. But he decided to take the word, hoping to stall long enough for others to join them. "You called for our Kage, there he is. You called for our surrender, here we are. You must be feeling really powerful right now."
He had to pick his words carefully if he didn't want to endanger Maximillian's life any further. "Correct me if I'm wrong, but you look an honorable man yourself. But where is the honor in striking down a man who's already beaten? What do you gain from killing someone who had the courage to stand up and protect the village he so loves? Let us stop before we reach a point where we can no longer return. If my surrender is all it takes to save his life, I will gladly do so." Ares would slowly reach for his sword as he threw it onto the ground, kneeling in front of Nobunaga hoping it would be enough to save Maximillian.

“I’m here!” A voice would call out before the neck of Max could be snapped. It was in the direction Nobunaga had entered, across the rotfield. Out of view due to the gate around the place. Thirty six meters from the giant holding the small boy.“Glad I could make it, you want someone to kneel to you. Fine put the kid down and get him to a doctor and I’ll kiss your ass for all I care.”
Jiro would say his sharingan active to view any funky business the Hiyu could be up to. If allowed the Uchiha would stop fifteen meters before the giant and kneel as asked. The Uchiha would keep his gaze upon the Hiyu to make sure nothing odd was going to happen. If things changed and Max died the man would be in for a fight and neither would leave the place until the other was dead.
This wasn’t the first time Jiro had seen this giant. The first time was Suna, then Kumo, now people were saying he was working for Kirigakure. The man seemed to change teams faster than one could boil an egg. Something the chuunin would usually call out, but now was not the time for such nonsense.

It seemed the harbinger of calamity would arrive at a lively moment as the midday festivities would seem to be growing ever more exquisite, the clan enthusiast’s intended destination being the accursed Kumogakure - to which his comrade Kenshin Uzumaki could attest - would apparently involve a welcoming party that he hadn’t expected to take place along his journey. The rotten wasteland that stretched farther than the eyes could perceive would aid him throughout his travels in locating the village ahead, and as he neared the village it was clear a battle would be taking place, more than 35 meters away from the crash site however still within range to make it in due time. Having departed towards this place in an attempt to subdue Kumogakure as a gift for the failure of Sunagakure alongside Kenshin’s own request for Kutari to suppress the Kumo forces long ago, these turn of events seemed appropriate to go about doing. Wearing his mimicry already copying his Berserker’s Sin set, the Uchiha’s own skillful expertise combined with the armor’s prowess would aid in his concealment of sound and kinetic force production for those around him to perceive. Coupled with suppressing his chakra as his assassin tendencies dictated, it’d be unlikely anyone would notice him growing near the village aside from physically seeing the man.
Upon drawing near the village and seeing the warrior seemingly glorifying in his apparent victory, Kutari would hear the words of the male facing the village as the wraith would be behind him, so entranced with his soulful declaration of victory that he felt little need to gaze around what could not be seen, a trait that hinted at his clear confidence in detecting those which could not be seen, however Kutari’s motto would likely suggest otherwise; a clear mastery in the stealth arts as even his own bodily organs would be undetectable. The giant warrior announced the defeat of the proclaimed Raikage, in which Kutari presumed would be the one incapacitated within the warrior’s grasp. Nothing more than a mere child, he was curious as to how powerful this Kage level individual truly was to be rewarded such a title, his blood beginning to flare at the idea of the warrior’s own reserves in comparison, capable of defeating such a foe. Kutari wasn’t one to be convinced by looks alone, knowing from his own expertise relying upon them showcasing nothing more than incompetence.
The intriguing Shinobi would demand the remaining villagers to bow in the grace of the swamp which led to the underworld, a technique he knew oh too well as the fellow provided them their ultimatum: the Raikage’s life or their own. The methods of this individual were certainly admirable and comparable to his own given a few inconsistencies, it seemed the sole envoy came to conquer the village, a disappointment he had to encounter such a Shinobi within these circumstances as the umbar wraith sadly had a similar agenda - the two of them might’ve been a compatible duo solely based upon their taste.
Unfortunately, the man’s intent conflicted with his own, and for that reason his presence could no longer be allowed to remain. Even more so, he intended on watching the villagers drowned in the sinking swamp, a reality which slightly humored Kutari though he had no intention of allowing Kenshin’s potential fun in terrorizing the village he despised to be wasted so easily.
The humanity-deprived sage would sink into a cruel stare lacking a display of emotion at the main threat at hand, incapable of faking such frivolous traits any longer as the troubled being would recline into his typical routine - some described it as boredom. Sadly, a buffoon nearby would call out his location in awe as he neared the swamp and sank down to it, Kutari behind him in this encounter so even he couldn’t detect the wraith until he made himself known. However, he was utterly foolish in that attempt and should’ve at least tried to save his leader, it only showed the inadequacy of the Shinobi of this village. His crimson eyes active upon this new arrival alongside his chakra augmentation as his arrival was potentially compromised, always being prepared for the worst. Acting differently if everything didn't stay as initially intended and his foes deviated from their actions. Wielding a holster harboring a sheathed katana on his left hip alongside his beloved spear on his back with a holster stretching diagonally along his torso, the combatant would have his weapon pouch harboring his various tools upon his left buttocks.
With the crimson eyes of the iconic Uchiha now twinkling with the sunlight above as the desecrate lands continued their outstretching texture, Kutari would stand directly behind the accomplished warrior in the mud 20 meters away from him to avoid the swamp, his confident expressions would suggest he’d likely take notice of Kutari once the Uchiha began to speak. The black ripples of the mastered sage would simultaneously manifest showcasing his apparent dominance over the foe ahead. He cared little for the chit-chat of the soon to be conquered village ahead of him though kept himself knowledgeable of their presence in order to not be surrounded behind enemy territory, “Apologies traveler, but it seems you’ve decided to occupy the wrong village this day. Though I wish to be appreciative that you subdued the Kage of this abysmal village for me, sadly I’m under the impression you intended on doing so out of your own selfish desire, in which case I can’t allow this. Furthermore, you’ve deprived me of a potentially entertaining battle against a Kage of one of the major villages and for that reason, you must pay the consequences. I expect you to redact the presence of your adorable little swamp as these worms are mine to do as I wish, alongside making this easy and perishing for me. Though of course you can struggle, however I can’t promise this encounter would go quite as smoothly as it would’ve initially. I'll give you a single moment.”
Kutari would glance over at the man as the children of Kumogakure gathered around the swamp for their demise, their lives not for this man to control. He hoped the warrior would attempt to resist his decree so the Uchiha could have a potentially enjoyable battle, however he waited in anticipation as he surveyed his surroundings in every way possible and ready for the battle at hand. He would wait for the answer of this warrior shortly, and if not appealing to his wishes Kutari would act with haste as dictated upon his actions as his battle-hardened mind was prepared.

Alas, the rats of Kumogakure no Sato came scurrying out of their filthy burrows and one by one they knelt before their conqueror, in fear of losing their leader. It would appear that he was beloved to them after all, enough for them to endure kneeling in the mud rather than watching the boy's neck snap in two. The Hiyu took no pride in watching them feebly kneel before him. He took no joy in forcing their hand by holding the child's life within his grasp. This was work better done by the conqueror himself and not his oath sworn champion.
With soulless eyes and an unwavering posture, his gaze would descend upon the woman proclaiming that he was a tyrant. He stared down at her in silence, affording her no response for her childish words did not warrant one. Not only was it quite evident what he wanted, it was quite laughable that she would call him a tyrant when she served under the village that happily let itself be ruled by tyrants. The irony was evident enough that it did not require him to point it out to the kunochi now trapped within his mud jutsu.
The next shinobi who felt it necessary to speak went on blabbering about giving his life to save Max's. "If I recall, I did not ask you to speak." Grunted the stone cold Hiyu, watching him inevitably kneel in the mud next to his kunoichi partner. Nobunaga cared little for their words, even less for their moral grandstanding. He was here for one purpose and that was to watch them submit. Once done, he no longer had a reason to justify him being within this rot infested country.
As the masses came to kneel, one brave or perhaps idiotic shinobi felt is necessary to kneel behind the behemoth. Perhaps he was a special shinobi, one who made it into the ranks through sympathy for his lack of brain cells or perhaps through some sort of diversity program. It seemed he was either hard of hearing or just retarded enough to directly object Nobunaga's direct orders. Or perhaps he though the Hiyu stupid enough to not see through his ploy. It was clear he was trying to surround the Hiyu, knowing that the Kiri shinobi was alone against an entire village. He seemed to forget that Max's life lay in Nobunaga control. Whatever the case, his stupidity would go unanswered. Nobunaga had achieved his mission, accomplished what was tasked to him by direct orders from the Leviathan himself. As the shinobi of Kumo knelt around him, they had surrendered their allegiance and submitted to the rule of Kirigakure no Sato, now joining the ranks of Konoha as a vassal state. Nobunaga had accomplished his mission and no longer needed to be within the confinements of this grotesque village.
Rotating his right arm around his shoulder and hooking his sword onto the back of his breastplate while still holding Max in his other hand after Jiro announced his arrival, the Hiyu would come to a sudden halt as a second voice from an undetected individual echoed from behind him. When and how did this individual get there? Whatever the case, the confused ANBU would swiftly shift his head to look over his left shoulder in order to get a proper understanding of the situation he now found himself in. Whoever this newcomer was, he made it very clear that he was not from Kumo. It would seem that he too had plans for Kumo and Nobunaga appeared to be standing in this mans way, a man garbed and ready for war, lusting to shed some blood. Could this be the man responsible for the destroyed outposts in Kumo occupied territory that Nobunaga had discovered on his travels to Konoha during the Chunin exams? It would only make sense that said individual now inevitably found themselves at Kumo's front door for his intentions were clear and he had business with the Lightning Lord's village.
This man's intentions were made clear, Kumo was on his hit list and he perceived the Hiyu as a threat standing in the way of his prized possession. Unfortunately for Kumo, Nobunaga no longer fought to protect this wretched place. He had once and if he still did he would have stood against the weapon clad warrior before him. But as promised, Kumo was still its own village despite being under Kiri's control. Their battles to fight were their own and would therefore have to be dealt with by them and not Kiri.
"It would appear I saved you the disappointment, Stranger." Grunted the Hunter Operative, keeping his hand on his now hooked sword and tossing the paraplegic held in his left hand a couple of feet in front of him before calmly turning around to face the shinobi who now had his eyes set on him. "The Raikage did not put up much of a fight. This boy was weak and clearly not ready to lead his people. It would seem he gained his rank through ceremony rather than skill." Finished Nobunaga, informing the Uchiha that he had not missed out on anything and had not been robbed of a challenging fight with a Kage.
In order to prevent the death of his subjects by his own hand and because it seemed they could be used as leverage in the current situation, Nobunaga would cancel his jutsu. The Kumo nin trapped within its consuming grasp would halt their descent, now finding themselves trapped within the ground instead. The blood kunoichi and dragon shinobi along with the masses would find that this was a better alternative to suffocation. "My business here is done, Stranger." Firmly confirmed Nobunaga to Kutari, with the crippled body of the boy Kage laying motionless directly behind him. "This village, its champions and its inhabitants are for you to do as you wish, unimpeded by me for I no longer have need of this place. You, this village and your business with it are not of my concern. That is, unless you see it fit to keep me entangled in your plans ." It was clear that this man was armed and ready to challenge Nobunaga for robbing him of the perceived fun he could have had in fighting a Kage. The Hiyu instead made it clear that he had no intention of fighting this man to protect Kumo. Traditionally Nobunaga would have accepted this man's challenge without question for it was clear his intentions were not of the nice kind. However he had been sent here to accomplish one thing by his master and therefore his business here was completed and he wished to leave the presence of the rot fields. But he would defend himself for his own interest, should Kutari object, of course.
With soulless eyes and an unwavering posture, his gaze would descend upon the woman proclaiming that he was a tyrant.

What the fuck is happening today? The Uchiha would wonder as an unknown voice came from behind him. The chuunin’s eyes were so focused on what was ahead, he did not see what was behind. Standing and turning his face to the newcomer he could see the crimson reflected in his own eyes. Another Uchiha is this one a monster Max fears? The question was irrelevant to getting to safety only the Uchiha was not alone, he couldn’t just leave entirely he had to make sure the people stuck weren’t affected by the fight that was about to start.
Jiro would move to the left and around the Hiyu maintaining the 15m gap they had between them. (After Max had been released, of course.) He would stand outside of the mud with a direct visual line to all the people present his three tomoe sharingan still at the ready. I get to be the legs and eyes, woohoo fuck me. ”I’m standing over here, just leave me out of this.” He would say, for two people in one day to just show up out of the blue like this alone it was just plain weird.
The Hiyu would say something that Jiro found odd. Didn’t he come here to take this place for Kiri? I was also told he called Max a dictator and now he is having people kneel in chakra infused suicide mud to keep the life of a ten year old alive. Out of any notion of what could be considered dictatorial, beating up kids and threatening their life unless you willingly jump into a suicide swamp ranked pretty much at the top of whatever plateu of tyranny you could find. To say this was a former Suna ninja was a falsehood by any stretch of the word, there was no sand left in him, it was something else. Something had changed him into a grand stander, of epic proportions.

Despite the formalities Kutari went about initiating within this encounter, his patience would not be favorable to test at the current point in time, his intentions upon arriving at Kumogakure’s doorstop not to be taken lightly. He’d watch the armor cladded individual as they turned their head to greet the newcomer, startled by Kutari’s presence now made known to those relying on their senses to perceive the world around, the hypocritical Uchiha acting on similar tactics to keep himself on guard. Thus began the frivolous chatter of a deadman walking, already neglecting the rules Kutari enforced upon his initial speech and arrival, replacing the actions he should’ve went about doing upon Kutari finishing his spill with more talks instead; Kutari cared little for the man’s words and the eccentric and unorthodox nature of their communications given the scenario at hand, the Uchiha on a schedule as the warrior stalled his inevitable demise.
Though easily justifiable, Kutari decided not to act just yet despite this being clear insubordination to his latest decree, instead slightly bending his knees and extending his shoulder forward in rebellion to the individual’s own actions of wielding for his weapon, revealing the farthest extent of his ocular prowess - an understandable reaction as the foe before him wielded a vast and menacing blade. He’d simultaneously grasp his slab of iron as he let go of the Raikage face tossing him towards the village gates into the mud face towards the sky and turning around, in which case not even a moment afterwards the show would begin - the tension between the various groups shattered due to one rogue Shinobi’s actions. The Raikage being something to 3 feet ahead of the warrior.
The kneeling Shinobi no more than 5 meters directly in front of Kutari would begin to rise from their kneeled position and move, attempting to carry out some action unauthorized by the criminal shinobi right before his eyes. His heightened reaction time would likely allow him to see the micro movements through the Sharingan as he just began the action, just after the warrior dropped the Raikage and turned to now face Kutari, his slow movements would suggest some deviation from the uneasy peace that already coated the battlefield, in which Kutari would respond in kind as it was clear talks had broken down; the various rats within Kumogakure needed to be culled to avoid Kutari anymore headache.
Kutari would spring into the festivities as he moved forward with a galvanizing dash reminiscent of a bull, moving at 265 speed having his katana’s hilt in hand towards the one attempting to move without Kutari’s express permission. New limbs right below his current ones would form at 100 speed as he went about starting this action, once formed creating handseals behind him to get out of the way of Kutari’s weaponry activities. All he simply had to do was stay put, however instead he wanted to defy the intention of the one behind him and would pay miserably; the emotionally deprived assassin’s bloodlust at a high. As the distance between the two was nothing more than 5 meters and the one before him was moving at a mere 100 just to rise from his kneeled posture and then adjust positions, his actions would happen in what would likely be a mere flash as Kutari released the katana from its sheath with his original right hand utilizing his extended arm and leaning torso to provide greater range to connect with the Shinobi’s neck now being a meter away from him, attempting to behead the male during his movements with a gruesome slash to see the blood explode throughout the vicinity. He’d watch intensely for any sudden movements or unexpected deviations to be had, however, coupled with his motto the Uchiha would be near undetectable upon his descent be it if he would be capable of reacting.
Simultaneously as Kutari saw the movements of the Shinobi wishing to rise from his kneeled position, the unique pattern of his Sharingan would project it’s power on the scene at hand, centered on the warrior as a purple aura would spawn upon the field in a 10 meter radius from said foe at 205 speed. It’s corrosive and destructive nature would devour those within its domain at Kutari’s interest. The Raikage would be the only useful shinobi to keep alive at this point, and necessary for Kenshin later on most likely being the leader of such an accursed village. For that reason and the warrior’s lack of interest to comply with Kutari’s initial words as swiftly as the “moment” entailed, war would rage on before the pitiful village.
Kutari would utilize the swamp still being active to effectively ensnare his enemies in the fold as those already incapable of freeing themselves from it’s grasp would have limited options, the aura from his Ogachi centered around them blocking the masses within the trap already laid out before him, Kutari the one to finalize it’s functionality. From Kutari’s understanding, the kumo shinobi bathing in the swamp would be in a kneeling position with their hands already in the mud therefore incapable of utilizing hand seals unless having the strength to break free.
The warrior and the two shinobi already in the mud of Kumo allegiance who did nothing but watch would be targeted by Ogachi as the aura would aim to kill them wielding a power of 280, simultaneously deconstructing their heads from the occipital to frontal bone areas to expose the brain as it devoured it fully, it’s compromise and disappearance surely meaning death if allowed.
The Uchiha would also keep an eye on the Raikage in relation to the swamp as it would be consuming all those within its grasp, just not anywhere near the same speed as Ogachi. If it would submerge him too quickly he would act to cancel the jutsu himself, though he was currently fixated and the speed of the swamp’s consumption it would take some time before such a thing happened, especially in comparison to Ogachi. He would also watch the helmless warrior for any actions to be taken as the walls would crash around him in the form of jutsu, the pressure raging on as the carnival act continued on. He'd continue along his intended actions so long as they went as planned, making adjustments as they came.

(72 houring Nobu, posting order for future ref: Nobu, hato, ares, Jiro, Kutari)
Jiro had arrived to the scene, being a bit arrogant as normal by trying to size up to him. Nobu didn't take that very lightly and basically telling him to shut up. Hato would probably laugh if she wasn't aggravated by the events happening. She would hope that the tyrant would just have their way with them and be done with it. However, nothing ever turns out well when Kiri is involved.
Suddenly, a voice came from behind Nobu. It seemed to be a powerful shinobi as Hato could feel his power, however couldn't see him due to Nobu being in the way. But she could hear him. It was another person that wanted to have a piece of Kumo. Hato was feeling like a part of a shitty pie. Nobu seemed to be satified and told that he was done with the village right after he threw the kage. The mysterious figure wasn't satisfied with that however.
Nobu's attention was on Kutari, so Hato found this would be a good time to make her move and escape. This was at the same time Kutari placed his hands on his "iron". She activated her Vampric Dynasty to be able to react more quickly. Due to her hands not being in the mud yet, she was able to activate Hidden Mist Jutsu in order to not get seen, maybe even letting others escape. The mist covered the area 50 meters away from Hato as the center at 250 speed. After the hand seal, Hato would use her claws to dig her way out of the mud at 180 speed, getting them off her before they could suck her in at a speed of 60. Then, not even holding her hands to her chest, She would body flicker 50 meters behind her as she wouldn't run to anyone because no one was behind her. The body flicker was at 300 speed. She was right at the gates, so she was from the continued mud.
With that, Hato felt it was safe to escape and fled the gates into the village to recover. She would quickly go to the right and head behind the gates.
