Huge dark clouds that loomed over the mountains threatened the village of Kumo. Small flashes light up the clouds in the evening sky, followed by the rolls of thunder. The village seemed to be packing it away for the day as the storm seemed to be large enough to last until the night. For most people it was the end of the day and they would go home to their families and rest. But for Hato it was different. The day before had been eventful and so she was booked for today with her plans. No storm was going to stop her.

The day before, Max, the Raikage, entered her home and told her about her responsibilities for Okami and the current status for the Virulent Citizens. All had been reported when then the Raikage had given her a gift. The organ of a clan member. She found this to be an odd gift at first, as they had tried to get her Senju blood but that turned out to be a failure. Hato theorized that Max was predicting something for the future and she would need all the fire power she could get. The vampire was fortunate to have such great friends that look out for her. Although, she wasn’t sure if she was a good friend to have back.

In order to perform the operation, she needed some extra hands. Thankfully, she knew the water clones technique. She would head over to the kitchen sink and turn on the foset and let it run while she wove the hand signs for the technique. From the running water formed a human figure that quickly crawled out of the sink and finish to formation. She was an exact clone of Hato. The clone knew what to do and went to grab the organ. Hato took a deep breath, trying to calm down the nerves. She was about to perform surgery on herself. She had the medical knowledge but it still was a nervous thing to think about doing. Alas, here she was, getting her clone to implant the organ while she would open and seal the wound and organ.

After doing some breathing exercises to calm her mentality, Hato would lay on the couch. Her clone stood beside at the ready, waiting for her orignal to open her flesh. First, Hato would apply some chakra anesthetic so she couldn’t feel the pain, jabbing her chakra tipped fingers into her stomach. Then she weaved the hand signs for chakra scalpel.The chakra field formed around her hand. Slowly and carefully she began to open her skin and expose a certain amount of organs. The clone would act swiftly to take out the organ that would be replaced with the Hozuki organ. Although the pain was taken away, Hato couldn’t help but note how weird and uncomfortable it was for someone to be digging into her body. She could feel the shifting of her organs and them being cut yet no pain. Lastly, the vampire would weave the hand signs for mystical healing palm and repair the opening and the organ to be sealed. It was over and the objective was a success. Hato sighed in relief, exhaling a lot of the air she had kept while doing the surgery. The water copy had done its part and went to the shower to be returned to water without leaving a giant puddle on the wood floor. Hato could now relax and let her body adjust to the change. She would finally drift off on her couch.

The mix of the knocking of the door and a bright light shining on her face woke Hato up rudely. “Coming!” She shouted at the door. As much as she didn’t like being woken up so abruptly, she was able to get changed and answer the door. It was Masuda, her lab assistant in the project of the virulent citizens. “Oh, Masuda. What are you doing here? We were supposed to meet at the lab later today.” She was giving a sassy attitude on her face. “We were SUPPOSED to meet yesterday.” Hato gave a look to Mas that she had no idea what the heck she was talking about. “Oh my god. Seriously?! You’ve been missing all day yesterday.” Hato started to piece together that she must’ve slept through yesterday. She gives a nervous laugh, “Oops.” She seemed offended by this. “Oops is right. Now we are a day behind in research and-” Hato cuts her off before she explodes. “Alright! Then we don’t have much time to spare. Let’s go.” Hato shuts the door behind her and leaves Mas in the dust. She was stunned by the turn of events.

At the lab, Hato had already slipped into her lab gear when Musda arrived. “You’re a pain in my ass.” Mus says in a teasing remark. Hato smirks, “Yeah, well enjoy it while it lasts.” After that they went back to work. “So, how's the subject?” Hato asks. Masuda shrugs, “ He’s stayed the same. He’s in a constant pace around the room.” Hato nods, “He’s waiting, being vigilant.” “For what?” she asks. “Whatever he deems to be dangerous to the village.” They pause and continue to watch. “I implanted a Hozuki organ into myself.” Hato suddenly blurted out. Shock struck Mas’s face. “Excuse me?” “Yeah, I did it. It was a gift from the Raikage. That’s why I was knocked out all of yesterday.” Mas wasn’t sure how to take that, “Wow, uhhh, how do you feel? Has anything weird happened yet?” Hato shook her head. “Nothing yet but when it comes, I’ll let you know.” Mas nods, not sure if she really cared if she know or not.

After they performed some more studies with it’s cells, it was already late at night. Hato decided to call it in and would dismiss Musuda. She then left the lab. As she was locking up, a figure began to sneak up behind her. “Hello, my darling.” the voice would say seductively. Hato would spin around and saw the rich man Todashi. Shit, this guy. Yesterday they were supposed to go on a date but she slept through that. “You forgot something yesterday.” She smiled like she had just seen an old friend. “Oh my goodness! I totally slept in. I’m so sorry, baby.” It was all smokes and screens cause she really didn’t care much for this man. But he was a good talker when it came to the higher class so he was good to keep around. “Why don’t you make it up to me?” He asks in another seductive tone. “Dinner sounds great.” Hato commented. It seemed like that wasn’t what he had in mind but complied. The gentleman took her arm and they started down to the dinner. Hato was lucky to have brought her emergency evening wear under her work clothes for just these random occasions.

They arrive at the restaurant; a high up building with huge chandeliers and bright lights. It was the classiest place in the whole village. She had been there many times with different men but it’s always a treat to be treated nicely. They sat at a VIP table, which only this man had been able to get into. He was close friends with the owner. It was a table in a smaller room than the main dining area but not by much and it was still too much space for the two of them. They get seated at the table across from each other. Hato was surprised to see their was bread and wine already set on the table. Either they always have the VIP area set with food or he was able to get the information to them while they were walking. “So, how was your day, sweetie?” She asked with a rich tone. “Oh you know, first I was like…” He kept rambling on about his day, but she stopped listening right away. If he had something interesting to say, he would’ve said it right away. Instead, she stared at her hand. She focused on the new bloodline coursing through her body. The ability to turn to water is great, but it needed focus. Despite all the focus she could hone, all she could obtain was a single drop sliding down her wrist and off onto the table.

Her focus changed as the chandelier above them started rattling. It seemed to catch them both off guard. “What’s going o-” He was cut off by an explosion from the other room, wear all the other guests were. All Hato could hear was muffled screams after that. She ran to the door and placed her ear against the door to listen closer. “Everyone! Put the money and jewelry in the bag.” They must’ve been experienced heist men in order to pull of something like this. Either that or they were really dumb. She could hear footsteps coming towards the door. “Get under the table,” she commanded her date, which he gladly did so. She weaved the hand signs to create a mist inside the room. As soon as the man walked it, he was instantly blinded. The mist escaped into the other room as well, enveloping the entire area in mist. Everyone was unable to see or sense anything. All except Hato because she was able to sense the men through their scents.

For the first guy, she was able to take out quickly as he was disoriented. She slashes his throat with he claws. He falls to his knees, clenching his throat, attempting to seal the blood from escaping him. She travels into the next room, looking for the rest of the heist men. She smelt 5 other men. She didn’t take into account that she still had heels on and they created a loud signal the other heist man. “Hey, no one leaves!” A kunai was heard thrown, coming towards her. Hato saw it just in time to comprehend what was about to happen. However, when the kunai should've hit, she didn’t feel anything. She looked down to notice that the kunai had passed through her. She was now immune to physical attacks. A grin stretches across her face. “You’re a dead man.” They weren’t able to see who was talking. So they threw more kunais, one with an explosive tag. Hato runs towards them, as they threw the kunais, leaving her heels behind. She goes to the first guy, avoiding the kunais and slashes his throat. The other men heard the gurgled cry of the man. They gasp and start to panic, looking around themselves to make sure she wasn’t around them. Her next victim saw her as she approached rapidly. He wasn’t to react quick enough to her slashing nails as it torn open his throat like his fellow friends. Hato noticed how messy the throat kills were getting, so she grabbed two steak knives from a nearby table. The next two were easy targets. They literally backed into a wall trying to find the exit. Hato chucked the weapons at the two, lodging it into their necks. Killing them instantly. One left. Suddenly, Hato was taken into a choke hold by the remaining man. He was a beefy and was difficult to escape from. Hato’s breath was starting to get restricted. Luckily, she was able to slip into a water form due to the pressure of death on her shoulders. He seemed surprised as a puddle was formed right below him that was formerly a woman. Hato reformed her body only a meter away from where she was. She then starts slashing at the man’s chest. As the mist began to fade, Hato would slip into the bathroom to wash her bloodied hands before everyone would notice what the hell just happened. As she washed her hands, she grinned at her reflection. Hato had not only conquered her own bloodline, but another. She was getting places within her own body.
Hato exits the bathroom and picks up her heels from the ground, right where she left them. Before she took off from the restaurant, she poked her head into the VIP room. “I’m going to take off and head home. Thanks for the food. Also all those guys are dead.” She left him there, leaving him wondered What the fuck. Hato departs, leaving the restaurant and murders behind, holding her heels in her hand. But god damn did she feel powerful.
