Yoi felt the wind rushing through his hair as they walked. It was around noon and they had made it to the border. This whole time, Yoi was still silencing his movement with his Quiet Footsteps jutsu.

Kizaru was tired from their mission and could only think about getting home and curling up under the covers. He had also made plenty of sketches for a new puppet and was excited to get to work on it as soon as possible. His tired feet carrying him, it wouldnt be long now.

Chuta followed the group and made sure no one was following them. That would be the last thing they needed, ambushed on their way home. Chuta stayed as aware as possible when traveling. Sometimes he’s sit there and practice his chakra control. It was easy enough to practice when walking.

Good thing he was standing in the middle of the road they were traveling on. As a matter of fact, he stood on the opposite side of a hill from them. The tall, broad shouldered, man would be having a rather boring day today and he hoped maybe the three shinobi on the road traveling toward him at sedate paces would be able to give him some form of entertainment. Be it a fight, or some amusement. Granted if they fought him they’d die, but it would be amusing for the few seconds they lasted. He would simply rob them though, he was a mercenary after all and for the most part they did not possess any morals about such actions. Besides, people with such weak chakra signatures should know better than to travel away from home without someone to watch over them.

He was currently capable of feeling each of their chakra signatures, his however, was completely suppressed and had been all day. Therefore he wouldn’t appear to any of the shinobi’s sensory abilities unless they had some form of sensory not related to sensing the chakra of another. More importantly, none of the three individuals would be able to know how powerful he was until he wished it to be so. “Good afternoon little Konoha ninja.” He would say, noting the headbands on them as they crested the hill in front of him. He’d purposefully put himself on that end of the structure. This road was well traveled and it made for good hunting grounds for targets and clients. They wouldn’t be able to see or sense him until they reached the top of the hill. Not only that, but he hadn’t been moving, simply waiting right there. So no one could hear any steps either, and his breathing was much too regulated to be picked up on from that distance unless one was an experienced shinobi. The crest of the hill put his targets far too close to him for them to run, even if they could outrun him.

As such, the three travelers would find themselves standing atop a hill, looking down at Calin, and him looking up at them. “Give me your money, your shinobi ID’s, and...your headbands, and I won’t kill the three of you.” He would say simply. “You have my word on that.” He would say again, knowing that to them his word would mean nothing but it meant something to him. He always kept the letter of his word.

Yoi could tell this man was strong. He had an air of confidence to him that Yoi didn't want to mess with him. "Y-yes, sir." Lucky for Yoi, he had left some of his ryo at home, making sure to safeguard it. Yoi pulled out the requested items. He handed over the 6600 ryo he had on him, his headband and his ID. "Here you go sir." Yoi put the things in front of him, hoping to avoid conflict. He prayed that his teammates did the same.

Suddenly along their journey home the group was met with a stranger demanding their money and headbands. The stranger clearly knew they were shinobi and yet showed no fear. Kizaru figured he must mean business. Sweat began to drip down the back of his neck as fear rose in his chest.

He looked in his pockets at all the money he had earned. It wasnt much at all but it was all he had to his name. He fished the money out and removed his headband. The money wasn't all that important to him but losing his headband like this was shameful to a shinobi. He had been taught to fight for your pride tooth and nail, but Kizaru wasn't stupid. He most likely had no chance of taking out this stranger. The man was confident enough to walk up and begin mugging 3 leaf shinobi. He must be strong.

He lowered his eyes and handed over the requested items and money. "Here," he said bitterly.

Chuta was surprised as his teammates came to a stop in front of him. Just down the hill a man was standing. Large and broad shouldered. He demanded money and their ninja specific things. This or they will die. Fear crept up into his mind and sweat beaded down his forehead. He took of his headband, pulled out his ID, and handed handed over his money.

“Alright... we did what you said. Shall we be on our way?” Chuta asked. Anger wasn’t in is voice but it was in his mind. This lowlife was robbing them, lazy scum can’t even get a job. He tried not to to spit in the mans direction. Chuta’s code would forbid him from causing harm to come to his comrade, but if they were alone he might have tried his chances at running or fighting. It would have been the way to go if he was going to.

They all complied, excellent. However he wasn’t stupid, waltzing up to a group of shinobi, no matter how green was simply stupid, something Calin was definitely not. “Set them all down, along with your weapons, and items, all of them. Then back up a few paces. I’ll come collect them all, conclude our business and then be on my way, and you three can leave with your lives.” He would say, his voice calm, and quite pleased with the way things were going. It wasn’t as much money as he might have wanted, but it was better than nothing, and he could collect some extra kunai and other such weapons to use to boot. This was truly an excellent day for him and it was only going to get better, he could feel it.

Yoi pulled out his weapon pouches and took everything out he also took his summoning ring and katana off. He stepped back a few paces. Man, he was really starting to hate this bitch. He took like 12,230 ryo worth of stuff, excluding the ryo taken, from Yoi. Fuck him.

Kizaru started to shake. If the man had just wanted the money and ran it would mean he was just a simple bandit in search of some quick cash. The feelings of fear only got stronger as the man talked. The situation was all to familiar. He had seen this type of thing go very wrong before. His own parents were killed right in front of him because some thieves got a little rowdy. He wanted to speak but the words choked up in his throat.

He slowly placed his case that held Alucard on the ground and nudged it away with his foot. Then with shaky hands began to unhook the holster on his leg that housed his first puppet, Mochi. He held the little brown bat puppet in his hand and turned it over a couple times. 

Kimchi who had been resting in the young ninja's shirt the whole time poked his head out and made a sad noise. He could feel Kizaru's fear and sadness and empathized with him. 

"It's gonna be okay buddy." He said quietly to the monkey. 

He knelt down and placed the puppet on the ground in front of him. He could always make new ones. It wasnt worth dying for.
