Rayul Vs. Katon: Round 2...FIGHT!
Wed Dec 18, 2019 1:05 am
Once again, the Shinobi of the Cloud returns to Dragon Ravine in order to further train the signature Coming-of-Age Jutsu used by The Uchiha.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just as promised, The Shinobi of the Hidden Cloud known as Rayul once again returns to the cave centered between the region locals of Kumogakure no Sato call Dragon Ravine. This is where he broke history for himself...This is where the Uchiha learned to tame fire. On that day, he vowed that he'd return here any time he chose to practice the transformation, and he returned today for that very reason. As he enters the Dragon Head shaped opening, he promises that he will not leave until he has finally mastered the Uchiha Clans signature Fireball Technique.
The cave remained the same as the day he first made his journey to it. There were no signs of recent activity, and as he reached the giant opening, he noticed a recent flaw. Reaching the middle of the cave, he looks up to the once small opening that allowed the rays of the sun to shine through. It had been closed, sealed by a rock that must've felt from the cliff that overshadowed the cave. Rayul used the light as an epicenter in which he would stand and practice. It wasn't required, nor did the reduced light prove to hinder his training. He did, however, love the thought of having the biggest source of the element in which he aims to perfectly tame shine down upon him as he practices the art of transforming his chakra nature into Fire. It was slightly demoralizing but also...neccessary. Necessary in a sense that maybe this is something that happened on purpose, for as he stared at the clogged hole, an idea sparked. He had come here to train his fireball, yes, and maybe he'd used the stuck rock as a training dummy. "Ha," he chuckled, "If I master my fireball, or at least get it big enough, I know I can blow that rock right out of its socket!". This obstacle suddenly became target practice for the young Genin, knowing that he now had something to practice his Jutsu on.
He took a position directly under the sealed hole, looking up at what he believed stood in his way from mastering Katon. Not caring if it took all night, tomorrow, and the next day, he would not leave that spot until Uchiha-Level fireballs were leaping from his mouth with ease. He had perfected the hand seals, and as he weaved the signs for the Clan's Coming-of-Age technique, he took a deep breath in, feeling the chakra begin to knead itself into flames. As he gathered his thoughts, Chakra gathered as well, and with his hands placed over his lips, the Ninja spews, releasing a short line of fire that reached a few meters above him before dissipating. Honestly, he expected much worse than that, so his first attempt going better than planned was a morale boost for him. Smirking as a sign of his rising ego, he wastes no time re-weaving the seals, and again, he roars at the Rock at a slightly bigger flame erupts from his voice. He's able to hold it longer than before, and as it dries down, he's already woven the same signs again, nearly spamming the Jutsu back-to-back. "KATON......KATON.....FIREBALL TECHNIQUE.....FIREBALL TECHNIQUE!" were the words that echoed among the chamber walls in which he stood. He wasn't even able to reach 1/4th the distance between him and the roof, and knowing that his chakra was limited, he decided that breaks were necessary for mastering such techniques. He had planned on spending the night again, anyways, so he hypothetically did indeed have all the time in the world to get that rock un-jammed.
An hour passes, and feeling as if he's rested long enough, the young man stands up from the rock he was using as a seat, returning a few steps ahead to stand under the boulder. His stomach growls, and knowing that an empty stomached Shinobi might as well be a chakra drained Shinobi, he reaches inside his left pocket, pulling out a granola bar. He eats the quick snack, and after having a drink of water from his canteen, cracks his neck both left and right before his hands come together.
"Horse.", he wove.
"Tiger:", as followed.
"Katon...FIREBALL TECHNIQUE", his voice thundered, and as he exhaled the heated chakra, a small ball begins to form at the beginning of its trail, reaching nearly half the distance between Rayul and the rock. Realizing such progress has been made, he focuses, holding the jutsu in place as he supplies it with the demanding chakra. Eventually, he releases his hand and lowers it, huffing as he catches his wind. He chuckles, then begins to laugh, eventually maniacally. He weaves the signs again, and following the actions he just performs, shoots another stream of fire towards the rock, in which also forms into a sphere shape at its tip. Determined to grow its size, he exerts more air from his lungs. "Come on, damn it. Grow...Grow!", he thinks inside as his concentration swirls around the idea of increasing the ball 10 fold. The ball grows slightly, and before the jutsu is canceled, the flame touches the roof. Noticing, he basks in his glory quickly, thankful for his skill that he is constantly improving on taming the wild element, and even better, his clans signature move. Suddenly, he hears a noise behind him, and now nearly instinctively, the boy's Sharingan is awoken as he begins to scan his surroundings. Nothing of threat catches his attention, as he sees no chakra around his immediate vicinity. Hearing a slight squeak, he looks down finding the culprit behind the startling noise. A rabbit leaps past the Genin, stopping beside his bookbag, reaching in pulling out the contents. "Hey!", Rayul says as he rushes over to his belongings. "Get out of my shit, asshole!", he tells the furry creature, as thee rabbit leaps away with a piece of seaweed scavenged from a pocket on the backpack. As he lowers his Sharingan, he thinks to himself that the animal must've been hungry, so he chooses not to chase after the potential dinner, and re-organizes his contents before returning to his training spot. He sits down, and crossing his legs over one another, begins to train his mind mentally while his body regains the loss chakra from the repetitive spamming of the jutsu he intends to perfect.
The world around him was full of hate, and he got that. He lived in a time in which the future was now, and the past was tomorrow. History repeated itself every day, and just as the Uchiha's pushed themselves towards mastery of their eyes, Rayul would do the same naturally. Genjutsu was best practiced on a live target, but mentally preparing the mind for it was also a great technique. He thought about different scenarios he'd weave into the minds of his victims, torturing them into submitting their will. Such power should never be allowed, but the Sharingan was considered a blessing from Indra. Those who wield such Dojutsu must have the spiritual and mental talent to properly and effectively use such arts, and mastery of it overnight was rare, if not, ever obtained. Time was on Rayul's side, as he was still young and was progressing his Sharingan not as fast as other's who came before him, but fast enough to be noticed by the higher-ranked. A Genin with his second Tomoe unlocked was a sight for all to see, though it also would make for an easy target. He knew his eyes were precious, and they have been hunted for centuries by those who crave power. He needed to be strong enough to defend himself, to protect his gift from his mother, and honor his clan. He'd continue to grow stronger to protect his village, his aunt, and those around him he would soon grow to love as family. That was his nindo...his Ninja Way. Opening his eyes, he begins to strip, taking off his shirt and pants allowing his body to cool down more as the heat inside the cave rose. The feeling he first felt when he arrived at the cave weeks ago returned, and its energy was even stronger than him. It was if a force was pushing him to continue with his training, to push his limits to the very edge, and once reached, jump into oblivion to continue pushing them into eternity. His adrenaline surged, and slowly his arms rose over his hands as his palms connected. Bringing his hands down symmetrically, flowing from his chest to his waist, he focuses his chakra into his belly. He imagines his chakra igniting, burning with the passion as the raging sun that would shine through the minuscule cracks of the sealed hole above. He held this position as he remained silent, meditating on the goal he set for himself. As he stared the inanimate object in it's "face", he knew at that moment that the rock would be gone before the night ends.
No more wasting time: half the day has passed and Rayul was not going to spend another night in the cave with its heat constantly rising. With no initial thought required, the horse and tiger signs were woven by his hands, and the fireball technique raged with immense heat as it exits the Genin's mouth, much more fierce than previous endeavors. He cancels it, and once more, he begins weaving the signs. He breathes in, and as he holds his breath, his mind is taking into a daydream of him standing along the bridge within the Uchiha's home in Kohona. Not realizing he's in his imagination, he looks around at his surroundings. He hears the slapping of hands, and as he looks to his right, below him is a young Itachi, weaving the Tiger seal. Itachi blows, forming a giant sphere of fire over the lake in front of him. Rayul watches in amazement, and encouraged by his kinsmen, he mimics Itachi as they both begin weaving the signs for the technique. Rayul's fire is much smaller than this, but as they repetitively cast the jutsu, his grows in size, eventually matching the size of Itachi's. The passion inside him was sparked and swirling with undying energy, and as he is brought back to reality, a smile forms along his face. "This is it.", he told himself.
"Horse.". A wild and free creature, yes, and Rayul imagined his chakra to stampede with the ambition as the mammal.
"Tiger....". The image of the animal crowned as the king of the jungle roared inside his head, it's a voice as fierce as the flames in which he beckoned to tame.
"FIRE RELEASE: FIREBALL TECHNIQUE!.". As he brought his fingers over his lips, the cave shook as the thundering voice of the ninja boomed throughout its chamber, erupting the largest flame Rayul has ever produced. A Gigantic sphere of Katon formed at the tip, and it traveled with both speed and intense heat. As it reached the cave, it hit the bottom of the rock, turning the earth into molten sand, and continued to push forward until it pushed the boulder out of its nesting position within the hold. Releasing the Jutsu, he watches as the ball of fire continues forth before dispersing, and as light is shown down upon him from the sun, he moves quickly out of the way as the magma from the melted rock drips down from its previous location. He waited for the substance to clear, and looking up through the hole, he peered into the direction of his sun, squinting his eyes with a proud smile of success forming along his face. He had done it...He had learned the Fireball Technique, and he had learned it to his clan's standards. By the Uchiha principle, He would now be considered a full-fledged adult, and he felt the energy that surrounded the cave lift off as light intensified down upon the Shinobi. As he looked up, he understood what this vibe was... and a tear shed down from his face. "Thanks, mom.", he says, as he laughs with joy at accomplishing what his mother would've loved to see.
His training of the Great Fireball technique was complete, and feeling good about being able to accomplish the goals he set out on in the time limit he allocated himself, his mind and body beckoned for more. His chakra was nearly obsolete now, being that he used all of it on learning the Uchiha staple, but that didn't interfere with his mind. He laid down in the cave to rest for a moment, deciding that once he awakes from his nap he'd begin his journey back home to the village of Kumo. Upon awakening, he reflected upon his victory, and pulling a packed Bonsai Roll from a container he produced from his backpack, he enjoys his mini-breakfast, giving him the needed energy to embark on the hour-journey back home. As he left the cave, he pulls a Kunai out from his weapon pouch, and on a small rock situated at the entrance he engraves his name and in parentheses, "Lil Tunechi", his nickname, being just the abbreviated word for Little in front of his last name. Taking the time to reflect on his accomplishments, as always, he tries to remember all that went into him being able to perfect the jutsu. Every little detail goes into the count as he does this, hoping to gain some form of knowledge that will make learning other Fire Release Jutsus much easier than before. He's tired still from exerting so much chakra the day before, and the hard floor of the cave isn't necessary the best bed. His shirt and shorts still off, he'd begin jogging along the path towards the village gates, hoping that his Aunt has a steaming hot bowl of ramen already prepared for the Ninja as he returns home.
