Help the Fishermen <-----Mission Being Completed
The morning was fairly dark, and even darker than the normal dreariness that was living in the mist village, but this time is was especially so. The howling winds and light patter of rain outside was indicating that the weather outside was not well, and in fact it was going to advance into a greater storm. Keita woke up, but he was unsure of the time it was because the normal dim light that entered his room in the morning was gone, and instead it was replaced with the same dreary darkness that was there at night, so Keita initially thought that he had woken up in the night, but he did not seem to be uncomfortable, and did not remember having any sort of bad dream, so he was positive after thinking about it that he had not woken up in the middle of the night. He was still shaken, as the weather outside was absolutely terrible, and he had to do a mission that day. The mission was one that needed to be done, he could not skip out on something of this importance, especially today, when the weather was so terrible, and it seemed like the storm was just going to get worse and worse until normal activities outside would have to be put on hold completely until it died down. Keita still managed to make a delicious and filling breakfast for himself before he left to do the mission, however, a wonderfully warming bowl of honey and ginger congee. It was perfect for this harsh and cold weather that he was going to have to face that day. After he ate, he grabbed an umbrella and made sure that he put on a jacket that was resistant to the we weather caused by the rain, and made sure that he left his calligraphy supplies at home, simply because he did not want them to get wet, and he imagined that he was going to get soaked all the way to the bones today, especially when he remembered what he had to do. He was glad that the scrolls he had boought today were of good quality for ninja use, and would not be bothered by a little adverse weather, so hopefully this mission would go by quickly and smoothly. He left his house immediately, wondering how the fishermen were faring in this sort of terribly adverse weather, and so he decided to walk a little faster in the rain and winds, even though it would protect him less if he did so. He saw very little people in the streets at this time, there were children playing in the puddles and their parents watching them from close by, but the normal hustle and bustle of the area had died down by quite a bit, about fifty percent or so if Keita had to make a guess. Even if the people here were from the mist village and used to being in wet weather, it was still a little cold and a bit too windy for most of them to continue doing things outside unless they absolutely needed to. Keita still greeted people warmly and amiable, and they greeted him back, and Keita seemed a bit warmer when interacting with his neighborhood, as they seemed to brighten his day quite a bit, even as the clouds over head grew darker and darker in shade. By the time that Keita had gotten to the mission location down by the docks, it seemed that the weather had gotten to the apex of a downpour, and as soon as Keita walked to the head fisherman who had started to pack up the goods, Keita started to talk, but a huge crack of thunder interrupted him, and lightning could be seen striking the sea nearby, further down the docks.
"Nice to meet you, but we have to hurry! this storms not getting any better and the goods might go flying any minute now!" The head fisherman yelled, as the winds had picked up so fiercely that it was difficult for him to hold onto the clip board in his hands against the friction that the wind caused. He was barely able to stuff the piece of paper on the clip board into his jacket pocket before the wind took the clip board from his hands, and flung it far away into the ocean. Keita yelled back over the howling winds, telling the man that he could use fuuinjutsu to take it into a scroll, but the man rebuked him back. The man stated that if he could not hang on to the scroll in his hands in these high winds, the entire shipment of fish and other goods they had fished out from the ocean would be lost forever, and there was no way that they were going to pay for something like that if it happened. These food items would need to be delivered in this weather by hand and foot, and Keita had a bit of a melancholy look to him, but suddenly put on a brave face, and nodded to the man. There was nothing he could do to effect this adverse weather at the moment, so the only thing he could do right now was to man up and start carrying the barrels of fish in his arms. He grabbed them and started to heave them up, but Keita had underestimated the weight of the barrel when combined with the water on the outside, making the metal band that supported the barrel quite slippery, and the barrel slipped from his hands. He managed to catch the barrel with hit foot, and the head fisherman who was standing there also helped by supporting the barrel. After yelling at Keita that he needed to pay attention and do better, Keita simply shouted yes, resolutely before gripping the sides of the barrel much harder than previously, and making sure he could move around and it not slip. He was not really thinking that this mission would require a lot of physical strength, and having his fuuinjutsu be completely ineffective in a mission about carrying things from one place to another was seriously disheartening to him, but he would attempt to correct this in the future. But for now, he only had to grin and bear it, and work through the winds and rain to slowly hobble his way towards the shopping district food court and grocer to deliver all of these fish. Keita was walking almost directly into the rain, and there were quite a few times that he could not see because the rain was hitting him right in the eyes, and he stumbled a few times, although he never lost his barrel that he was taking care of. He was completely looking out of sorts because of his normal scholarly visage was soaked through the bone like a dog from the street when he finally managed to plant the barrel in the back alley of the grocer. The man in the grocer thanked him before taking the barrel off of his hands, and Keita grabbed the now very soggy piece of paper from the head fisherman so that he could turn in his mission. He got a few stares as he flung open the doors to the mission center, as he was completely soaked and not fully equipped to deal with the winds and rain, as his umbrella kept getting turned inside out, and now he finally turned in his mission.
