What lies beyond

Having said his piece from the heart, Akarui stood back straight and full of pride and determination before the Hokage and glazed directly into his eyes as he waited the Hokages to give him direction. Trusting that the Hokage understood his desire to get stronger and protect the village through whatever means necessary. The Lord Hokage Yen Aburame addressed Akarui once more and agreed to his father’s statement of truth and gave him a small evaluation before drawing a last card from the deck dramatically and looked at the card face and spoke again after looking back and slid it over the top of the desk towards Akarui for him to see the face of the drawn card.

Once Lord Aburame finished his speech, a sizable pressure exerted from him as he looked Akarui in the eye making the latter quickly break eye contact and look down in submission. He felt as if his chakra was being suppressed to the point it wasn’t detectable, along with another feeling of being small and insignificant. After a while, the Lord Hokage gave Akarui a mission to complete outside the land of fire to scout other villages. Akarui soaked in the mission he was given during the silence that followed, he saluted and turned to make his leave with a; “Yes Sir! I will do what is instructed of me. I will take my leave now to prepare for my journey. Good day sir.”

With that, Akarui made his way home thinking over the conversation he had with the Lord Hokage. This was it, he finally had permission to go hone his skills in the outside world. He would seek power beyond the walls of this cage.
