Leaving at Dawn

Akarui new friend Snow saw Akarui approached and exchanged a few words with him about the word’s they spoke after the sparring session on that fateful day they became comrades with similar goals. Asking after the state of his leg, Akarui assured that it had healed just fine with no permanent damage. Then Snow made a request to Akarui to show snow his shoulder to put on a telepathy seal to be able to contact Snow at need. After Snow explained the function of the seal, Akarui knew straight away the utility of this seal was monstrous with applications for it being very abundant. Akarui could see this coming in handy if he needed to contact Snow in a hurry or while on a mission together. On the future expedition Akarui intended to join Snow on would be made easier due to this seal alone. Need for silence? The telepathy seal allowed silent conversation for tactical advantage. One Shinobi seeing something that the other Shinobi didn’t while under surveillance? One could inform the other on the enemies movements. Spying? Relate back critical Intel without being seen or making contact. Akarui could think of plenty more but now wasn’t the time to be doing so. Replacing his top, Akarui turned to Snow and replied.

[color=#00BFFF] “Thank you friend. I can see that becoming quite useful when we hit the road. I won’t keep you. Good luck Snow.” Having said he piece with Snow, Akarui stood back to watch the proceedings and to make sure nothing untoward happened to his friend. He had heard tales of the ruthlessness of those other Shinobi that would come to tear apart any defecting Shinobi caught in their grasp. He was sure someone was around staring at the group as they all said their goodbyes. Luckily Snow had received permission for a long range mission from the highest authority in the village that none could override.

While Akarui was off in his own world lost in thought, another Shinobi from the gathering approached him with the intention of introducing himself as Tadashi Namikaze before asking Akarui his own name was after which Akarui responded to him while grasping the offered hand in a firm shake. “The names Akarui Kōtei, pleasure to make your acquaintance. Tadashi Kamikaze you say? I’ve heard that name before.. Oh, you were the opponent to the Shinobi Yoi during the Chunin exams right? I read all about that match in the village news papers. Thrilling fight. You were recently promoted to the rank of Chuunin right? How cool, I’ll one day be a Chunin myself. I have to work hard.”

The conversation ended as soon as it began as Snow had come to give Tadashi a few words and a goodbye. Akarui didn’t mind the interruption as Snow needed to leave soon and there were many people who wanted to have a parting word. Akarui nodded at them both before leaving the gathering altogether. He had said goodbye so he didn’t really have anything else to do here. Turning around, he headed back into the village and made his way home knowing he would see his new friend soon enough so there wasn’t much reason to watch him leave. With one last glance back at the crowd slowly getting thinner, Akarui turned a corner out of sight.
