Jigga What, Jigga Who
Mon May 04, 2020 9:19 pm
As Guren made his way past the village gates his eyes glanced from building to building, rubble to rubble. The village was clearly in some state of restoration. And although there was plenty of destruction, there was beauty within it. There was something about the dismantled apartment structures and fallen infrastructure that reflected a level of potential. Among the ashes, there were glimmers of hope. From the children that played in the streets, to the shinobi that patrolled the village. There just seemed to be an unusual degree of happiness and pride with the fallen village and Guren couldn't understand why. Although relating his observations to his own experiences, he still struggled to grasp this concept. During his time as a shinobi of Kumogakure, he felt as if he were only a tool. He undertook countless missions, yet never gained significant takeaways from them. This lack of connection with the village was part of the reason he had left. Guren had no family, no friends, and no sense of belonging. It wasn't until he had fled the village and sought after his personal goals until he truly started to feel alive and understand how that showed him purpose. Perhaps those same feelings he was just discovering was what some of the villagers had for Sunagakure. And it wouldn't take an illustrious, grand village for them to understand that.
Passing through the city, he proceeded to follow the directions of some civilians on how to get to the hospital. The guard he had met had told him that his best chances of finding work would begin with tracking down the man in the hospital. Kenshin, his name was. From Han's words, he would sound like a resourceful guy. If he truly did have a good idea on where Guren could begin making some ryo, it would only make sense to seek him out. And perhaps this would yield an interesting opportunity for Guren to learn a bit from the man. If he truly was well versed on bloodline transplants, perhaps he would have any type of information on the Chinoike Clan. But even if he did, that would mean that he would have to trust Kenshin enough to reveal his background. It wasn’t necessarily something he was opposed to, but he knew that it would mean potentially adding a target on his back. However he had to remember that he was in a place where missing ninja of all backgrounds were accepted. He was probably safe.
Finally he would make it to the hospital. The building was in quality condition in comparison to those around it. Upon entry, Guren would immediately be standing in line at a receptionist desk. It seemed like a long wait, however the efficiency of the single receptionist caused the line to clear out quickly. When Guren would make his way to the front of the line, he would give a soft smile to the receptionist.
“Excuse me, the guard at the village gates told me I should come here and ask for Kenshin. Can you assist me?”

Mia could be described as any things, shallow and petty being two of the defining aspects of her personality, but there wasn't a single person in this village that could accuse her of being bad at her job, as demonstrated by how quickly and efficiently she managed to whittle this damn line down. Most of the people were after extremely simple stuff, to the point that if they just paid attention to the numerous signs on the walls they wouldn't need to ask, like the locations of the hospitals numerous departments.... but as Kenshin had told her quite a few times when she was complaining, she was basically being paid to be polite to idiots. The final man in line was certainly an improvement over many of the brutes and weirdo's that had been coming through lately, which made it quite likely that he was a tourist or traveller of some kind. When mentioned Han sending him here to talk to Kenshin she would resist the urge to smile... a lot of the people that had come to meet with Kenshin ended up staying, and she would certainly be interested in this fine man staying in the village.
“Kenshin's in the morgue, he’s basically got it set up as his own personal office while the Kazekage Mansion gets rebuilt. Just follow the black line on the floor and it’ll lead you to him. Oh, and remember to knock before you enter, apparently quite a few people have been barging in lately and Kenshin finds it to be quite rude.” She would say with a friendly smile on her face, almost forgetting the request that Kenshin had made at first.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
From the morgue Kenshin would watch the situation unfold with his Byakugan, the eye more than capable of allowing him to read the lips of both Mia and the newest visitor. This man was certainly not like the majority that came to visit him, which was a good thing... most were simple brutes that wanted an easy and stable source of income, something that he could understand... but damn, what he wouldn't give for a more skilled group to join his forces. Now, that wasn't to say that he didn't possess some truly skilled and talented Shinobi, just look at Ibari, Mizuki, Lilith and Han... but they seemed to be the minority, most of the others being painfully average in terms of both ability and will.

After letting the receptionist know of his intentions, she politely responded with two helpful pieces of information. First, that Kenshin could be found in the morgue. A rather grim and dark place, but it kind of made sense. Surely it would be quiet enough to focus without interruption. But still, there had to be other locations within the village that would have suitable office spaces right? Or maybe not. Truthfully Guren wasn’t sure. Whatever was the cause of the destruction in the village could have displaced any previously existing offices. In which case, this would just prove Kenshin’s resourcefulness: able to make something out of nothing. It was admirable. The second noteworthy statement she made, was that Kenshin was waiting for the Kazekage’s mansion to be rebuilt. Now it was clear to Guren. Kenshin was the Kazekage. Thinking back on his discussion with the gate guard Guren figured that the guard’s boss was Kenshin, who probably wouldn’t take the “sleeping on the job” joke as lightly as Guren and the guard did.
Slowly, he was starting to learn more of Sunagakure.
From the little bit of information Guren had acquired since entering the village, he could make out who its leader was and what his interests might have been. Kenshin was the Kazekage, who held his subordinates to high standards and expectations. He also sold bloodlines transplants and worked out of a morgue. Now the selection of the hospital, specifically the morgue, as his temporary base of operation was starting to make more sense.
Focusing back on the discussion at hand, Guren snapped out of his thoughts. “Thank you. I’m G by the way,” Guren let out to the receptionist. “If you don’t mind me asking, what is your name? As well as the gate guard’s? You both have been very hospitable.” If she chose to provide their names, Guren would exchange a friendly glance, wave goodbye, and before walking off would say, “Thank you again. I will head to the morgue now.” If she chose not to introduce herself, that was fine. Guren would just shrug it off. His intention was only to pay respect and begin formalities. This was a new place to him and making acquaintances could prove beneficial, especially with people who reported to the Kazekage.
As he walked away from the front desk, he glanced at the floor and saw the black line the receptionist mentioned. Coincidentally, it began just underneath his feet and ran forward until making a sharp left down a hallway. Guren followed it. It might have been a 2 to 3 minute walk, truly not far at all from the front desk. Upon reaching the end of the line, Guren would be met with two large double doors. Directly above them, was a bold text sign in all capital letters reading “MORGUE”. This was it.
Just before knocking, Guren would pause for a moment to think on how it might be wise to sense out the person behind the doors. Yet he second guessed this idea. From conversations, Guren already knew that Kenshin was a powerful and serious person. Since he was the village’s leader he was probably already monitoring Guren’s presence anyway. If so he speculated this could have been happening since he entered the village, either through surveillance shinobi or some type of sensory jutsu. If he really meant harm to Guren, Kenshin would have already had plenty of opportunities to see it through. This was probably a safe place, and so chakra sensing was unnecessary. Guren also figured that he would be better received if he let his guard down slightly and treated this meeting as he did with the gate guard and receptionist: respectfully, yet not overly formal. And so he would knock two times onto the door in front of him, *knock, knock*, and wait until he would be told to enter. When he was granted permission, he would pull open the door and walk through the threshold.
Upon entry, Guren’s mature demeanor could be noted. He stood with good posture and was well kept. His red and black hooded trench coat had some signs of wear to it, but was maintained neatly. It was zipped all the way up, and to the normal eye would hide the standard shinobi clothing that he wore underneath. Although he was only 17 years old, his athletic build and bearded face would make him look a bit older. Combine this with his nearly 6’ height, and Guren would fit the bill for a capable shinobi.
As a visitor, Guren would normally feel as if it were his place to initiate the introduction. But seeing as he was in the presence of such a notable figure, he thought it may be more humble for him to wait for Kenshin to speak first. He figured this way, he would not run the risk of interrupting the kage.

Mia would smile as the man proved her earlier thoughts correct, this man was certainly an improvement on the other brutes, polite and handsome to boot.
“I’m Mia, and may I just say it’s been a pleasure to meet you G, you’re certainly more hospitable than most of the others that come this way. And if by gate guard you mean the old man, his name is Han.” The peppy young woman would say with the smile still on her face, and that smile would remain even as the man left.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Kenshin would watch the interaction with a small smile, seeing Mia so happy due to such a simple interaction left the man in a good mood… the poor woman had to put up with a lot as the secretary of the hospital, and even more due to basically being the gatekeeper to seeing him. He would deactivate his eyes as the man knocked on his door, and with a small smirk he would simply turn his chair to face the door and call the following.
“Enter!”
The Ragdoll would size the young man up with but a glance as he stepped into his domain, noting his size, his musculature, his expression, his attire and most importantly his chakra signature… and all up he had to say this one was impressive. While not having chakra as potent as himself and Lilith he was still nothing to scoff at, and the way he carried himself was quite impressive… coiled and ready to strike whenever he needed to, a true shinobi if he did say so himself.
“Please, take a seat” The Reaper would say with a small smile on his face, gesturing towards the chair sitting near the edge of his desk and facing him, as he pushed his own chair back a little and turned to face the chair. If the man chose to do so, or even didn’t, Kenshin would simply smile lightly as he faced him.
“I’m sure you already know who I am, but just in case I am Kenshin Uzumaki, The Kazekage of Sunagakure… but please let’s just skip the formalities and titles, I’m sick and tired of all the sycophants that I have to deal with daily. Now, not to be rude, but who exactly are you and why is it that you’re here.” The man would ask, smirking after his minute pause while rolling his eyes.

Re: Jigga What, Jigga Who

When entering the room, Guren immediately noted its atmosphere: surprisingly calming. Initially Guren thought that working out of a morgue would be morbid and depressing. Yet for some reason, the large room had a strange allure to it. He speculated that it stimulated his interest because of the amount of potential the room had. What type of things was Kenshin learning in here? What type of experiments could he perform? Guren was sure that this room wasn’t used for just office work. There had to be some secrets to its selection as Kenshin’s place of work. There was likely plenty to learn from the sheer amount of dead bodies that resided in the room.
As Guren had gazed throughout the room, his eyes fell upon a generously sized office desk which held a distinct figure sitting behind it. His posture clearly displayed how tall he was, as even when sitting he towered above the desk. Yet he seemed like he maintained a relatively light and nimble frame. But what stood out the most was how pale he was. It seemed almost unnatural, as his light complexion even appeared whiter than several of the doctor coats which hung behind him. His face was like a blanket of snow, save for a brutal scar which spanned from his neck to his face. It didn’t appear to be fresh, yet it did seem deep. Potentially from combat? Maybe one of his experiments. Guren wondered, but didn’t dwell on the thought too long. Nevertheless his first impression of Kenshin was that seemed battle hardened and was the embodiment of the word mysterious. One thing that was evident upon standing before Kenshin was his potent and dark chakra signature. It far surpassed Guren’s own and seemed like it possessed a hint of death within it, as if he were the Grim Reaper himself. Perhaps it came from years of battle, or even countless experiments on the human body. Although it was significantly different than anything Guren had ever sensed, he expected this degree of prominence from someone who was mighty enough to bear the name of Kazekage.
Despite his grotesque chakra signature, Guren found it interesting. Surprisingly enough the sensation he felt upon observing it wasn’t so far off from the feeling he got from the iron rich, bloodlike scent which the Valley of Hell emitted. By no means was Guren obsessed with death or gore, but some aspects of it certainly intrigued him. Maybe this was why the Reaper before him seemed to be so compelling.
The first thing that Kenshin would say to him was rather friendly, as he invited Guren to sit with him. So far from what Han, Mia, and now Kenshin showed him, Sunagakure was quite inviting. Guren exchanged a nod with Kenshin and shifted his eyes to the seat before him before looking back at Kenshin. “Thank you” he graciously replied. He walked over to the chair, pulled it out and took a seat. Instead of sitting straight up, he subconsciously leaned forward a little bit. This was a product of how interested he was in how this encounter would proceed.
Upon Kenshin’s brief introduction it was Guren’s queue to speak. He would be clear and concise, as he was sure that Kenshin’s time was limited. “It’s nice to formally meet you Kenshin. Both Han and Mia have shown me exceptional kindness in the short time that I have been here. My name is Guren,” he began. Momentarily he paused after saying his first name, as he was unsure if Kenshin would care for his full identity. Yet something about this conversation would give Guren a sense of comfort. Like he could trust Kenshin. Whether he was right or wrong, he would continue to go a tad more in depth. “Chinoike. I come from Kumogakure, and my stray from the village has led me all the way to the Land of Wind. I am not certain how long it’s been since I’ve taken refuge here, but some people I have met along the way have told me that Sunagakure was a haven for those from all walks of life. And so I decided to come here and see for myself to gain an understanding of what life might look like for me here.” Guren would pause to see what type of response Kenshin would have so far. Guren would replied accordingly.
He would then pick back up to detail his current intentions in the city. “To be frank, I am a bit short on ryo and haven’t been living in the best circumstances…Additionally I am quite curious and have a passion for learning. So I have been hopeful that Sunagakure could offer me some assistance in fulfilling some of my ambitions. But I am not certain if my stay will be temporary or permanent. I was hoping that I could visit here for some time and in return lend my abilities to your village how they might be needed.”

The Reaper would smile lightly as the man took the offered seat, nodding when the man thanked him and began to lean forward in his seat, listening to everything that he had to say before speaking himself. His first action was introducing himself, with Kenshin making sure to attach the name Guren Chinoike to his Chakra Signature, something that he knew to be a much better way of identifying someone than a face. The man would proceed to explain where he was from and why he was here in quite the concise way, his frankness about his goals being appreciated immensely by the man known to most as The First Kazekage. He was quite pleased to find that the man was contemplating joining, and that even he was unsure whether he would be staying or going, as it showed that the man truly understood that joining the village would be a true commitment and one that he would indeed uphold, after-all, why else would he be hesitant to join?
“Well, it is a pleasure to meet you Guren, and I am glad to hear that both Han and Mia have made such a positive impression on you in your meetings with them. Now, I truly do appreciate your candour, so allow me to assuage some of the worries you may have. Sunagakure is not what you would call a traditional village, as we allow Missing-Nin to both enter and leave as they please, but of course whilst within our walls they must follow our rules like anyone else. We are also far more… morally grey than the other villages, unlike the other villages and their leaders I see no point in trying to convince anybody that we are some saintly bastion of good… we are shinobi at the end of the day, and both you and I know exactly what that means far better than most. Most of the shinobi within Suna are actually former Missing-Nin, so most of them understand that this world is not the most pleasant one, and that sometimes the dirty jobs need to be done and sometimes you cannot allow your morals to get in the way of your duty… sometimes you need to do terrible things in order to survive.” The Ragdoll would explain, his smile slowly fading as his face hardened, before finally turning into more of a sombre and accepting look as he finished speaking.
“You are more than welcome to come and go whenever you please, and should you choose to join with my forces you will find yourself with a solid source of income, and should you wish it free housing. Whilst you stay within these walls and follow the rules I will allow you to perform the same missions that my Shinobi are allowed to perform, even if you don’t choose to join up with us.” The Albino would then state with a smirk on his face, changing the subject away from the darker path that it had taken and steering it back onto a more productive path.
“And finally, I’m sure that you will find that most within these walls would be more than happy to help you gain some more power. I’m unsure if you already know this, but I do know how to perform Bloodline Transplants and I do possess quite the wealth of DNA… and I am more than willing to perform this service for a fair price. Now, unfortunately I do not possess the time to train you in the traditional sense, the repairs to the village are taking up most of my time, as I am sure you can tell from the countless forms you can see scattered over my desk.” The Kazekage would then state with a light chuckle, gesturing towards the countless forms on his desk, and if he were to look he would see that the forms were indeed invoices for him to pay for the costs of repairs and modifications. Kenshin would not fault the man for looking at these forms at any point during his talks, as they were clearly visible and none of them were secret… if they were then they wouldn’t be lying haphazardly on his desk like these ones. With all that said and done The Reaper would stand and walk towards the final Cold Chamber of the Morgues right wall, opening it without a word and retrieving a decent sized bottle of chilled Awamori along with a small metal pan filled with shattered ice.The man would then make his way back to his desk and would retrieve two glasses from the topmost drawer, a small smile on his face as he took a seat once more and filled both glasses
“Awamori, high quality Awamori at that.” The man would say without a word, a light smile on his scarred face as he pushed one of the glasses gently towards the other man, ensuring that the glass would only slide far enough to reach him, not hard enough to make it fly off the table.
“So, do you have any questions?” The Reaper would then ask, lifting the glass to his lips and taking a small sip of the ice cold Awamori, earning a light sigh of enjoyment from the man as his silver eyes came to rest upon the mans own.

Re: Jigga What, Jigga Who

Kenshin's speech was strangely warming to Guren. It provided a sense of comfort, as if Guren could be himself without any restraint. Although a lack of a moral system would normally be frowned upon in most societies, it was normalized in Sunagakure. Additionally, this aligned with Guren's neutrality. He did not believe that things could be "right" or "wrong". That was just too ambiguous. Who would be the judge? Instead, there was only necessary and unnecessary. Maybe Kenshin and his village followed similar practices.
He nodded in agreement. "Yes. It is the nature of our existence. Unfortunately not everything can be as simplistic and moral as we might hope. Sometimes it just breaks down to doing what is necessary." Following this comment is when Guren detailed his business in Sunagakure and offered a proposition of work in exchange of being allowed in the city until he figured out his plan. Kenshin's response was well received. Although housing would be up for Guren to figure out, he would still be able to make some ryo while being in the village. It was perfect.
"Much appreciated. I'll see to it that I give my all in any missions I undertake." As the conversation continued to delve deeper and Guren learned more, he felt that Sunagakure was congenial to his lifestyle. This could likely be interpreted from his body language as well. While still attentive and well postured, he would just appear to be relaxed. Almost as if he was talking to a friend. Nevertheless the tone shifted quickly as the topic changed to one familiar to Guren: transplants. They were something that Han informed him of, stating that Kenshin would be the person to talk to about them. Fortunately the conversation was inevitable, as his curiosity would have forced him to inquire about them eventually. Kenshin just beat him to the punch.
As Kenshin briefly described the warehouse of DNA he had at his disposal, Guren looked around the room. Without a doubt it was a perfect place for someone to learn and perform experiments. Surely this is where some of the DNA was acquired. Guren would refrain from responding until he was certain the Kazekage was finished speaking. The subject then focused upon Kenshin's workload, which could be noted by the mounds of paperwork teeming on his desk. Kenshin was clearly a busy man, tending to village repairs, performing experiments, and meeting with visitors like Guren. "Well, I apologize for interrupting your work. I would just let it be known that I truly appreciate you taking the time to meet with me."
With that, Kenshin would move from his seat and Guren's eyes would followed. He walked over to a chamber of some sorts and picked up a bottle, followed by two small glasses. As Kenshin maneuvered more, Guren could clearly see both the bottle's shape and label. And with that his eyes lit up. In his most recent ventures, he had seen a familiar bottle at a tavern in the outskirts of Wind Country. It seemed like all the wealthy men at the tavern were sipping on it. Although Guren desperately wanted to indulge, he had no ryo to spare at the time. Yet the bottle that Kenshin displayed appeared regal almost. As if its contents had been aged to perfection. It was more than likely superior to the bottle he remembered from the bar. While Kenshin poured two glasses, Guren's mouth watered. Since his time as a missing ninja began, he had become accustomed to having a drink every now and then as a treat. A reward, if you will. This time around that treat would be even sweeter, considering the quality which Kenshin confirmed the Awamori to be of. The glass slid across towards Guren, who immediately secured it in his grasp. Pure, raw excitement. "I saw something like this recently, but never got the chance to try it."
He would wait for Kenshin to begin to take the first sip until he took his own, and when he would the smoothness of the alcohol rolled down his throat (pause). This was followed by a slight, surprisingly enjoyable burn. Guren only just began to drink, yet he was learning how to properly embrace a good drink. After taking his sip, he set the glass down and exchanged eye contact with Kenshin to begin inquiring on some of the things the two had covered.
"Thank you. For sharing this smooth and delicious Awamori, and for sharing so much information with me....Regarding the transplants, do you have a list of your inventory and their rates? While I am sure there's immense amounts of powers to gain from acquiring another Clan's abilities, I would just be curious as to what you have available... My clan is nearly extinct and everyday I am discovering new abilities that it has blessed me with. But unfortunately that also means there is still quite a bit that I do not know, including what other Bloodline might synergize the best with my DNA. To begin, I specialize in genjutsu and ninjutsu...as well as some blood related techniques..." Both the skepticism and curiosity in his voice was apparent. However any restraint he had was only due to the uncertainties of the level of information he should provide, paired his lack of background information on his own clan. Of course Guren wanted to become stronger, but he was sure that there was plenty of information that he had yet to learn about his own potential as well as another Bloodline's compatibility with his own. He hoped that the two would go into more depth if time allowed.

Kenshin would listen to Gurens response to his words, showing the young man the same respect that he had shown him, simply nodding when the man mentioned doing what was necessary… It really was a shame that so many shinobi didn’t understand this simple reality. When the man tried to apologize for interrupting his work The Reaper would release a light chuckle.
“Oh it’s no trouble, if anything I welcome the diversion.” He would state with a small smirk, before continuing with the actions detailed in the previous post.
When the man thanked him for the Awamori Kenshin would simply give a low nod, and when the man began to inquire more into the transplants that he could give the silver eyes of The Immortal would almost light up with glee. This was a subject that he always enjoyed broaching with people, and being able to explain to someone the advantages that the DNA of certain clans gave to their members was always a fun time, as it allowed people to see just how unfair genetics could make things for those who simply wished to become shinobi without having the lineage to support such a goal. It always was infuriating when people called those who were simply disadvantaged ‘useless’ in comparison to those that had won the jackpot in terms of genetics, and this went doubly so when these so called ‘useless’ shinobi were powerful in their own rights, and were simply being held to unreasonably high standards. This may be an amusing line of thought coming from one such as Kenshin, but really, it wasn’t anything strange, he was born without the bloodlines of either of the clans he was born to, and he had been considered weak and useless by many for a long time… yet look at him now, The Monster that had chased off The Leviathan.
“I possess DNA from over a dozen clans at this point, a majority of which would likely not interest you so I will not waste our time by describing those, and will simply discuss the ones that I believe you may find to be useful or would catch your interest.” The man would explain as he raised his chilled glass to his lips and took another sip of the ice cold Awamori, before placing the glass down once again.
“Okay, let us start with the cream of the crop, and one of my personal favourite Bloodlines, The Senju. The Senju Clan is what I would call a that has quite literally won the genetic jackpot and has some of the most, frankly, unfair advantages over clanless shinobi, and even the shinobi of most other clans. They are known to possess more potent chakra, have larger reserves, and be physically stronger than most shinobi, and that is not all. Senju and capable of mastering an Advanced Element composed of Earth and Water Release, an element that I am sure you have at the very least heard legends about, Wood Release.” Once he named the element Kenshin would shoot through the hand seals for Wood Release: Cutting, never once moving from his position or looking away from Guren. Kenshin would only form two branches, one from his left shoulder and thus away from his desk, and one from the back of his head. Both of these branches would be sharpened at the tip, and with a simple smirk Kenshin would make the branches begin to move and shape themselves. Kenshin would pull the branch on his left shoulder out of his body, revealing the complete lack of injury and throw it away casually, simply forming the Seal of Confrontation and smirking when that branch suddenly gained 4 more points from rapidly growing branches. The Ragdoll would pull the branch on the back of his head off and toss it towards the other, the two clattering harmlessly on the floor as he continued to stare at Guren.
“I’m sure you could see the use of such an ability in combat, and that is honestly one of the least powerful jutsu of the Senju. If I had the time to truly practice and master the element I could create entire forests at a whim, and control everything within said forest. The Senju are also known to be able to suppress Bijuu with this Wood, and even completely drain the chakra reserves of most shinobi with their techniques.” The Ragdoll would explain with a smirk. The genetic jackpot indeed.
“Another clan that won the Genetic Jackpot is a clan with no true name, instead known by the name of one of its most prominent and powerful members, Jugo. This man died hundreds of years ago, but to this day his rampages are the things of legend, and the man is viewed in folklore almost as a boogeyman typ figure. The clan has a bloodline that I have taken to calling ‘Natural Berserker’, the bloodline causes their bodies to naturally absorb the chakra of the planet, Natural Chakra, to bolster their own reserves and augment their techniques to make them far more powerful. Their reserves are also larger than the reserves of the average person due to this passive absorption, and using this natural chakra they are able to augment their bodies however they please.” Kenshin would then explain before closing his eyes, opening them as he lifted his right arm and shifted the flesh of his fingers into blades, his sclera turning black and the irades turning an amber yellow. That was not all though, The Ragdoll would also make his arm grow longer and longer, reaching 1m in overall length before he stopped, closed his eyes and allowed the transformation to revert.
“Now, unlike the bloodline of the Senju, there is a drawback. Until you master this Natural Energy you will occasionally absorb too much, and while this has no truly adverse effects on your body, it will cause your most primal instincts to awaken and you will attack everything in sight… thus the name I have given it, Natural Berserker.” The man would explain with a small smirk, grabbing his glass once more and taking another sip before placing it on his desk once again.
“There is one more that I believe will interest you, and this time it is not a bloodline that I personally wield… although that is only because I have since replaced it, I did indeed wield it for a number of years prior. This Bloodline is actually a Dojutsu, much like the Sharingan, and it is known as the Seigan. It belongs to an old clan from Kirigakure, and is an eye that I will profess I do not know all the secrets of. It is tied to Water Release, and those without the element will be unable to use the eye in even its most basic forms. The Seigan gives its wielders great proficiency with Genjutsu, and even possesses a few unique forms of Genjutsu that I discovered while I wielded it, one of which almost worked as a form of protection. Simply cast the Genjutsu on yourself, and it will in turn weaken any genjutsu that is cast upon you, and it also possessed a unique stimulation ability that allowed me to regain great amounts of chakra when I wasn’t performing any Genjutsu of my own. Now, as I said, I do not claim to know everything about this bloodline, and for all I know this may well be like the later stages of the Sharingan and grant abilities specific to their users, meaning you may well find that it works differently for you than it did for me… but it is one of the most useful bloodlines I possess, especially for those with talent in the field of Genjutsu like you.”
With the main three listed Kenshin would meet Gurens eyes and allow him to decide which of the three, if any, were appealing to him.

Re: Jigga What, Jigga Who
Thu Jul 02, 2020 12:40 am
Guren felt at ease as Kenshin confirmed that his interruption was not an issue, and reassured that with a friendly laugh. This ease was reflected in Guren’s body language as his shoulders shrugged low, and he leaned back a little in his chair. Guren smiled with Kenshin before the conversation delved deeper and transition into transplants. Upon asking his questions on the subject matter, Kenshin immediately lightened up and his face and eyes portrayed true joy. This must have been what the Kazekage was really waiting for. The tone in his voice immediately picked up, as he spoke with nothing but splendor. His introduction to the conversation would leave Guren intrigued. Over a dozen of DNA? That must be a lot of people he’s killed or been able to harvest….I wonder what type of DNA might be useful and would work best with my own abilities. He already had laid out his skills to Kenshin, so for him to already have several ideas was encouraging.
Guren leaned forward once again upon the mentioning of Senju DNA. As Kenshin explained, Guren thought of his book on DNA that he recently read as well as the techniques that his short lived accomplice Wan had briefly displayed. Wan clearly bore the Senju bloodline, as he had used it offensively in the short battle they had as well as manipulated it to escape from the battle. To Guren’s surprise, Kenshin would perform a brief demonstration which foreshadowed an enormous amount of potential. However one thing in particular stood out to Guren: Kenshin was a subject of his own experiments. He was only able to discern this from the fact that his surname was Uzumaki yet he wielded abilities of the Senju. Upon this realization, Guren’s eyes widened a bit. It was a sudden realization that when the Kazekage mentioned all of the DNA he possessed, he didn’t only mean externally. It was likely that he also housed a plethora of DNA within him.
As Kenshin spoke, Guren vigilantly watched and would take a casual sip from his glass. “Wow, I can see why you say they won the jackpot. It would seem as if the inherent blessings upon a Senju as well as wood release would prove itself useful in numerous scenarios. And actually…I could see it meshing well with some of my techniques. I imagine that with some practice, I might even be able to blend my techniques so effectively that they could take a bijuu by surprise…”
While Guren finished his thought aloud, his tone slightly drifted off. He did have aspirations to eventually test his abilities against a bijuu caliber enemy, but of course that would come with time and experience. Perhaps acquiring a bloodline benefit would catalyze that process. Nevertheless, Kenshin continued as he moved on to discuss the Jugo and their innate nature of being natural berserkers. Again, as he described their potential he also was able to demonstrate it in person. This confirmed Guren’s deduction of Kenshin being an experiment himself. And quite frankly, this was kind of… cool. Being able to add certain capabilities to one’s arsenal at the cost of a surgery seemed like a modest tradeoff. Clearly it aided even those at Kenshin tier, as he presently sat as the leader of New Sunagakure. Although this performance was also uniquely impressive, Guren was a bit skeptical of how he might use it complementarily. The access to natural chakra would be hugely beneficial, but the tradeoff of losing one’s tranquility seemed a bit too costly. This would be one for Guren to reflect deeper on.
“I see…” he began as he took a second to gather his thoughts, “I can’t imagine what it would be like to lose control, I like to think of myself as strategic…calculated, even…” he finished. Again, he would lift the rim of his glass to his lips and take a cool gulp of the iced Awamori. With each sip, the burn of the aftertaste was reduced and was significantly more tolerable. Thus, the experience was even more enjoyable.
With anticipation of Kenshin’s next opening statement, Guren straightened out his posture one more. As he reflected on the Senju and Jugo DNA, he was excited to hear what else Kenshin thought Guren might gain the most from. And that was it: the Seigan. A water and genjutsu based doujustu, which offered a variety of benefits. Not to any surprise, Kenshin had also wielded it at some point in time but not any longer. And his temporary use of it only revealed a handful of its potential. But the fact that the Seigan was heavily centered around genjutsu, Guren’s preferred mode of attack, and Suiton, Guren’s natural affinity, instilled a significant amount of confidence in the Chinoike. This was evident by the smile upon his face.
Taking a moment to reflect on all of the information that Guren had just learned of, he paused for a moment before commenting. He removed his right hand from the chilled glass and moved it towards the beard upon his chin. His gaze momentarily diverted to looking straight on, almost through Kenshin, as his imagination rapidly pondered multiple outcomes of receiving any of the DNA he learned of today. And with that, he refocused his attention on Kenshin and gave him a nod out of respect.
“Thank you, lord Kazekage. This information is quite vital and provides perspectives and information I never knew existed…” The genuine tone from Guren’s voice could easily be heard. “If I were to be honest, it would sound like the Seigan would complement me the most. Followed by the Senju, and then the Jugo…My biggest reservations would be: what type of costs are associated with these transplants? Both monetarily and…health wise? As you know, I am a bit short on ryo. Also, I have never undergone any type of surgery…”
Again his voice trailed off towards the end of the statement. This was not anxiety induced, but instead was a product of Guren trying to figure out a plan for acquiring what Kenshin was offering.

Kenshin would take note of Gurens reactions to each of the Transplants he was offering, and as he suspected the Seigan seemed to be the bloodline that he was most interested in… but really, what Genjutsu practitioner wouldn’t be interested in such an eye. The Reaper would give a light nod and lightly raise his glass towards Guren as the man thanked him, taking a light sip as he listed the ones that interested in order of most to least. The Kazekage would place the glass down as he confessed his reservations to such an offer, and in turn Kenshin would simply give a light smile and nod, most were not very knowledgeable about such subjects to it made sense that he was a bit nervous given it was indeed a surgery, both in terms of compensation requires and potential health risks.
“Fret not my friend, I can assure you that I am more than skilled enough in the field of Medical Ninjutsu to make the surgery 100% safe for you, with no added health complications anywhere down the line. I performed all of the transplants that I have on myself and I can assure you that is quite a bit more difficult than performing surgery on someone else.” The Ragdoll would explain with a light chuckle, his silver eyes meeting Gurens own without hesitation
“I also possess techniques that allow me to dull your nerve endings to take all sensation away from you for a time, and thus taking away any and all pain you may have felt from the surgery itself if you wished to stay conscious through the procedure. I can assure you the procedure is also quite fast, and I will be able to perform the transplant you wish in a matter of minutes.” The Monster would then say, trying to be as transparent with the man as he could be through the whole matter, while at the same time making sure that he knew that the entire procedure was quite safe when someone competent was performing it.
“Now, as to the monetary compensation, I typically ask for 25,000 ryo for my top of the line bloodlines, such as Senju and Natural Berserker, but for you I am more than happy to dip that price a bit… Let’s say 20,00 for Senju. The Seigan is not a bloodline that I consider to be top of the line, as it is not something that would be useful to absolutely everyone in the same way that the first two are, so I am more than happy to accept a mere 10,000 ryo for it, although that is with the ‘friends’ discount that you are getting. All together that would come to 30,000, which I will admit is quite a drop from the 40,000 that I would usually ask for such a useful pair of bloodlines, but I quite enjoy your company and I am in a rather generous mood, so why not.” The Reaper would then say with a larger smirk on his face. Truth be told the discount itself was not something that he gave just everyone, and that truly was a good discount when one considered that his usual asking prices were quite fair to begin with.
“Now, I confess I do not know much of the bloodline of the Chinoike, so in an effort to be as transparent with you as possible I ask that you tell me a little more about it and how it works, because I am more than willing to drop the prices of what I am already offering you in exchange for you allowing me to keep whatever I replace. And, of course, this offer does still stand if you do not have the necessary funds at this time, you would simply need to seek me out in the future when you have the money needed.” The Hybrid would then explain with a small smile on his face, attempting to show Guren that he meant what he was saying. It was honestly quite amusing when one considered that it was Kenshin Uzumaki, of all people, offering someone a discount simply because he liked them… but then again, he typically gave a lot of people discounts… and even sometimes gave away bloodlines for free… huh… maybe he was actually a generous person… now that was a scary thought.
