Dawn of Reckoning [Village Exit]
Fri May 08, 2020 2:28 pm
Wounds are something that cannot be healed but are something that forces us to move on.
Every day, Tadashi had been growing less and less hopeful towards Konoha's future. Since the village's impromptu subjugation years ago, it had slowly been receding in both militaristic power and a positive future, a disappointment of its former self. The Kages, once powerful and imperialistic, were shriveling cowards, bending down to Kirigakure's armada. For years, Konoha's Ace had been in the sidelines, the background, unable to do anything of worth to aid in Konoha's arrival...he simply trained, letting himself be corrupted by Kirigakure. It was pathetic for a shinobi to be utterly useless when the village needed them most, but how long would Tadashi wait to not be stagnant, to not be scared of death, and be the self-proclaimed "Hero of Konoha?" It started with the inauguration of Yensung Aburame, a hypocrite who killed his kind because he was scared of death, an inevitable outcome of shinobi. Yensung and Tadashi were similar in many ways, both frightened of premature death. However, the "great" Hokage dove deep into the abyss of chaos by ending the life of a Konoha shinobi, forsaking his brethren like spineless cattle. As Yensung rose to power, it seemed as though he wanted nothing but create chaos, death, and destruction in his village. His actions were not one of a Kage, but one of a sanctimonious tyrant, spineless enough to bend down to Kirigakure.
The tyrant first came for Snjor Yuki, an aspiring Genin who only started to get a feel for his bloodline, forcing him on a borderline suicidal mission to Kazangakure, a new settlement full of Missing Ninja. It was a miracle that Snjor survived, had it not been for his prodigal skills that were unbefitting for a Genin, yet, Yensung never acknowledges the young Yuki's abilities. Subsequently, the tyrant came for Hanabi, sending a girl no older than 7 years of age to venture the outside world, full of monsters such as Kenshin Uzumaki. Currently, there were no updates on Hanabi's state throughout the past few days. Lastly, he sped towards Yoi Yuki, one of Tadashi's most beloved friends to participate in one of the most archaic, barbaric, and utterly crude displays of power: The Blood Games. Yensung was no longer the Hokage of Konoha, simply an extension of Kirigakure's influence, a mere slave to the village. Tadashi couldn't stand his brethren, comrades, and people to be sent on suicidal missions by a maniac. He would embody hope, and claim Konoha's independence, no matter the cost.
"After all, that's what heroes do, right?"
a soft wind enveloped the gates of Konohagakure, the rough cobblestone ground filled with an overgrowth of vines would be walked upon by a figure with a mask. That figure was no longer Tadashi Namikaze, but "Chronos", determined to save the village once and for all. The ginger masqueraded with the Chronos Suit, would march towards the Konoha gates, ere stopping at the front, 10 meters before the gates. Emotions flooded the young boy, the realization dawning on him that this was his last chance to walk away. However, he couldn't. All of the tears and blood spilled for Konoha's vanity would be useless if he couldn't finish the job. He checked that all of his equipment was equipped on him; Jubaku was sheathed on his left hip, hidden under the Chronos Suit's cape. All of his weapons, such as his Kunais, Specialized Kunais, Explosive Tags attached to his Specialized Kunais, were in his Ninja Pouches. Tadashi would take a deep breath before looking up to the sky, unequipping the mask portion of the Chronos Suit to reveal his medium-length scarlet hair and deep-sapphire optics. He looked back, seeing if there were any gate guards or comrades to say his farewells to.

Shibata chuckled as he saw the Chunin, dressed in his semi ridiculous superhero suit, ready himself for his journey to Kirigakure in the hopes of obtaining independence for Konoha. Shibata piped up as he was leaving, "See you sometime later 'hero,' try not to get yourself killed, afterall, heroes tend to survive to see chapter 2." And with that, Shibata returned to the rest of his business for the day, hopeful that the, in his eyes, naive shinobi would get the chance to return to the village he put so much faith into bearing the best news. The news that Konoha was free.

There was an odd sensation in the air today. Kinzoku couldn't quite place his finger on what it was but he could without a doubt feel it. It's felt like when you knew something with all your heart, but you couldn't quite say what it was. That feeling of searching for a word. You know what the word is, teetering on the tip of your tongue just waiting for it to roll off. Yet you couldn't remember. That feeling that somehow, somewhere, something was wrong. When decided to stay home and later find out the ship you were suppose to take now finds itself at the bottom of the ocean. The caravan you were suppose to ride in was attacked by bandits losing everything. It just felt like one of those days were misfortune was just hiding around the corner waiting to happen. Where nothing would go your way. Kinzoku just couldn't figure out why that was though. It was simply, a feeling. It consumed his thoughts as he leaned against the outside wall of Konoha's gates. As usual the Nazar found occupied himself with a cigar in one hand, his other steel arm resting in the comfort of his jacket pocket. Attire flapping in the wind, he looked up to the sky as his thoughts wondered wildly. Could beings of a higher power have something at play? Is this why Kinzoku felt as such? Were they moving pieces around the board putting their plans in motion?
His mind quickly snapped back down to reality as his eyes glanced down towards someone who had just crossed the gates and exited the village. Head still titled back from looking into the skies, the Nazar took a few puffs from his cigar as he observed the fully decked out shinobi head towards the woods without so much as a thought to get checked out. As if almost on cue, before Kinzoku could call out to the shinobi himself, he stopped. Higher beings at play? Whatever it was, the Nazar pushed himself from the gate walls before approaching the shinobi who was receiving a farewell from a friend of his. He couldn't help but hear the friend mention 'hero' and not getting himself killed. What kind of wild task was the Hokage sending this one on now?
Upon reaching the shinobi, Kinzoku would see that it was in fact Tadashi. The recent winner of Konohagakure's Chunin exams. Seeing as how Tadashi was there when he explained the rules of exiting, Kinzoku would simply reach behind the Chunin's neck. His right hand would form the seal of confrontation before the left placed a Flying Thunder God seal. The right hand would continue to form four more seals before finishing with another seal of confrontation, the left hand placing a final telepathy seal. His left hand would fall back into his jacket pocket before the right retrieved the cigar from his mouth.
"And where will you be headed on this... strange day?" Kinzoku inquired from the Chunin as he had set it upon himself to keep tabs on those leaving the village.

Stretching his right foot by wiggling it around in circles for a moment, the ginger's perceptive ears picked up on a voice right behind him. Keeping his mask off, Tadashi would turn to the voice with little urgency, still registering what it was saying to the masqueraded teen. However, what was amusing to the ginger was the appearance of the young man who was speaking to the younger teen; adorning a leather jacket and a tattered shirt, it was difficult for Konoha's Ace not to suppress his laughter that was threatening to blow up like a crackling explosion tag. The words that the young man said were even more humorous and along with his getup, Tadashi couldn't help but crack a small smile towards the older teen. "Don't flatter me, man, I'm just stepping up because no one else won't," The ginger gave an innocent chuckle for a moment before continuing, "You don't seem like the type to take "long walks" around the village, so what brings you to the gates?" The ginger asked, curious in the older man's answer especially with his stereotypical delinquent attire. It always seemed that new people were joining Konoha's military system every day, which made it all of the more disgraceful that no one has attempted to stand up to Kirigakure. After the older man answered Tadashi's question, the Ace would continue his questions with polite curiosity, "My name is Tadashi Namikaze, I'm currently a Chuunin, just going on a long-distance mission ordered by the Hokage. What's yours?"
Sooner than he expected, it seemed like a higher rank official would appear to the scenes, walking to the gates. Initially, the Ace only viewed a small specter about 50-75 meters from him, but it only drew closer without any intention to halt. Once reaching around 20 meters from Konoha's Ace and the older man's perspective, it would be self-evident that the man was Kinzoku Nazar. Tadashi knew the drill, not flinching or wincing once he was being "marked" by Kinzoku. However, unlike Yoi and the 7-year-old toddler called Hanabi, the ginger didn't know what the seals the Jounin put on him were, but, the unmasked teen wouldn't inquire at that point but would instead answer the cowboy's inquiry. Clearing his throat for a moment, Tadashi would resolutely state, "Strange day indeed. I'm leaving to end Konoha's subjugation from Kirigakure; this "partnership" has been going on for far too long, Mr. Kinzoku. I can't stand how our pride, shinobi, and sovereignty has been utterly robbed by that village. Everyone in this village has been stagnant for years now, therefore, the Hokage permitted me to declare independence on his behalf." The ginger asserted firmly, determination coursing through his deep sapphire eyes, piercing into Kinzoku's with no relent. Tadashi wanted this depraved joke to finally end, but he would ease up for a while before touching the seals on his back. The seals held no weight, feeling like tattoos of chakra. The Ace mentally cursed himself for not specializing in Fuuinjutsu but instead specializing in using a sword, as being a Fuuinjutsu user could be very practical at times, shown through how the Jounin effortlessly marked him. Despite admiring the Sealing Arts a fair amount, Tadashi had no clue what exactly the seals did, so he would clear his throat a moment before looking at the Jounin,
"Pardon my ignorance, Mr. Kinzoku, but what do the seals exactly do? I've seen you mark many shinobi as they left for missions and other things, so I'm quite curious about what purpose the marks serve." Tadashi inquired respectfully to the cowboy shinobi, there was some time to spare before he needed to get a move on so he could masquerade himself as a participant of the Blood Games.

Re: Dawn of Reckoning [Village Exit]
Fri May 15, 2020 12:24 pm
The young Chuunin answered honestly and without hesitation. He was headed to Kirigakure to free Konoha from their grasps. He knew this day would come eventually, when the youth would want to make their mark in this world and bring Konoha back to being an independent village. It was only a matter of time as the only people who seemed to be benefiting from this partnership was Kiri themselves. Nonetheless, the Nazar was still shocked to finally hear the news that someone would be making such an attempt. Especially on their own and apparently of their own accord as well. Based on the young Chuunin's words, it was his idea to do this. It did not shock the Nazar that the recent winner of the Konoha Chuunin exams was the one who wanted to take this task upon himself. He had always shown to take initiative. Kinzoku had seen it when they move to take back Suna years back and he had come to the aid of a fellow Kiri shinobi. Back when Konoha and Kiri had some sort of working relationship. But it was after those events that everything seemed to fall apart and contact ceased. All the happened now was that Kirigakure took their money and that was it.
What did shock the Nazar however, was that the Hokage approved of this journey knowing that Tadashi would be going on his own. Perhaps it had been one of the Chuunin's requests to do so. Even if that were the case Kinzoku found it weird that Yensung would oblige considering the nature of this mission. Regardless, it was no longer Kinzoku position to be telling shinobi what to do. It was his choice to hand that role over to the Aburame and it was his job to abide by the decisions he made. All he could do was his best to council and keep his fellow shinobi protected. "This ain't gonna be easy, Tadashi" Kinzoku stated, obvious as it were. "They reap the benefits from the past with little in return. You'll need to be quite persuasive to convince them to end such an arrangement." Shortly after Tadashi inquired about the two seals the Nazar had just placed on the back of his neck. Both were made rather small in order to go unnoticed unless someone with a trained eye for fuinjutsu were taking a look.
"The purpose of the marks are to ensure your safety" Kinzoku stated in short before going into more detail. "One allows the two of us to communicate telepathically no matter where we are. All it takes is a minimal amount of chakra to flow into the seal. The next is the Flying Thunder God. It allows me to teleport to any location i've marked. I can also teleport those i've marked to other marked location. Meaning... if you're in a bit of a bind I can help you out." If Tadashi understood, it was quite simple. Contact Kinzoku if he were in trouble through the Telepathy seal. Then Kinzoku could act accordingly depending on the situation.
"One last thing" Kinzoku said before reaching into his jacket and retrieving a single kunai. To anyone else it was an ordinary kunai. But to Kinzoku it was not. This was the kunai he used to severe his hand in order to show his allegiance to Xyxer Gyojin. It was the Mizukage's way of showing what would happen if they were to ever step out of line. But with Tadashi's task, it showed Konoha was now taking a different path whether he was successful or not. It meant Kinzoku no longer needed the kunai for its symbolic purposes. It was time to return the kunai to where it belonged. Forming the seal of confrontation once more with his left hand, Kinzoku marked the kunai with a tiny Flying Thunder God as it camouflaged in with the metallic grey of the weapon. "When you reach Kiri, leave this someplace within the village that won't be found. No matter how your mission goes, it'll be handy" he added before handing the kunai to the Chunin.
If there were nothing else, Kinzoku would give the Chunin a single pad on his shoulder. "Best of luck young Tadashi, the fate of the village depends on it."

The older Jounin would give some words of enlightenment to the Ace, some food for thought for Tadashi to think about during his diplomatic travels. The ginger listened intently to Kinzoku's words, as he would be a fool not to since the upcoming confrontation between the Mizukage and him was focused solely both on rationality and equivalent exchange between the villages. Tadashi already comprehended that Kirigakure was in the upper hand, being able to defeat most Konoha shinobi as well as take what they want for exchange of what? Protection? Advanced technology? That would require total assimilation for both villages to gain something, but the ginger knew that no true patriot of Konoha would ever allow their village to be fused with a foreign one, such was the byproduct of being indoctrinated into the Will of Fire; the dogma the forces Konoha shinobi to never value their lives and to only value the life of their Kage, not their military comrades, friends, or even family. Now, the Hokage was nothing more than a coward, sending shinobi on death missions to never be recompensated for their struggles. Who would ever want a leader like that, definitely not the ginger. Tadashi's iris would flare for a moment in annoyance after Kinzoku spoke about Kirigakure, a sudden moment, yet not entirely one that couldn't be seen by someone else. The thought of serving a leader like that was disturbing, especially for the future generations that would live their childhood, looking up to someone like Yensung Aburame.
The semi-masqueraded teen would regain himself after that moment of uncontrollable annoyance, giving a small nod and a pensive expression in response to Kinzoku's words about negotiating with Kirigakure. The cowboy shinobi would then educate the Ace about the seals, the Flying Thunder God seal, and the Telepathy seal both seemed rather intriguing to Tadashi. The Telepathy seal was rather self-explanatory in what it could do, Tadashi keeping a mental note to contact Kinzoku through the seal should the plan go south, but the Flying Thunder God technique sounded far more...interesting. The ginger wanted to know more about the technique's usages, but that intrigue would have to be saved for after the negotiation. Lastly, Kinzoku would hand Tadashi a Kunai of some sort, the teen's sapphire optics lowering to the weapon in confusion, but before he could voice his confusion, the man would speak. "Leave the Kunai someplace where it can't be found?" The ginger thought skeptically. If his assumptions were correct, the Ace would assume that Kinzoku marked the Kunai with the Flying Thunder God seal to be able to fast-travel to the villages rather easily. It made some sense to Tadashi regardless of not knowing what the Jounin was going to do with it; nevertheless, he would put the Kunai in his Storage Displacement, putting another mental note to place it somewhere in Kirigakure where no one would find it. "I'll try my best to find someplace, just notify via Telepathy Seal when you need to teleport there so that I can tell you the secret location," Tadashi replied earnestly.
A strong billow of wind would flow across the gates, as the once stagnant leaves would be displaced and would then follow the direction of the wind which was away from the gates. Kinzoku would give the ginger his blessing as well as reminding him about the state of the village. Tadashi would take a deep breath before finally putting the mask back on, "I can promise you this Kinzoku...Konoha will never be the same when I return." The masked teen stated without any sort of malice nor happiness, simply, the truth. Whether to be interpreted ominously or with hope would forever remain an enigma. Even the ginger didn't understand the weight of his own words. Perhaps...Chronos knew.
Without any other words and regrets, Tadashi would walk away from the gates should no one interrupt him, to a world of deceit where only the strongest would succeed.
