House warming party in Kazan

Cole had spent the past few days looking at houses in Kazangakure. He wanted to have a place here to stay that wasn’t the cheap motel. He had money so that wasn’t the problem. The problem came with him being picky. He wanted a place close to the restaurants in the village since he was not a cook, but he also wanted a place close to the walls and shop district as well. Mostly because he didn’t want to have to walk too far to get to places. He finally found one that fit his wants for the most part. It wasn’t that close to the walls but it was located between the food and shops, so he was going to make do with it. Once he paid his rent he spent the first-day spending money in the village buying furniture and other things that he needed for the house. Then he sent out a few invitations to the few people that he had met so far in the village and told them to invite their friends as well. He was wanting to meet more people in the village. He knew that as a missing-nin that there may come a time that someone would come looking for him, and the more connections that he had in the village the less likely they were to just hand him over in the night while he slept.

With the time getting close to when people should be arriving. Cole made sure that everything was ready after all he didn’t want to seem like a poor host. He was trying to impress these people after all so that it would be more likely that he would be better protected in the village. Going over his mental checklist he would mumble to himself while waiting and walking around his house. He had his clothes consisting of his loose and baggy black hoodie and pants. The hardwood floors were clean and no sign of dirt or dust on the shelves. His dirty clothes were put up in the laundry room and his 72-inch flat-screen had bruce lee enter the dragon on the start menu. He walked over he checked to make sure that his corner white suede couch was lined up correctly to break the room apart. Since the bottom floor was set up mostly as a studio apartment with the bathroom at the far back with the turn around staircase going up the stairs. He had placed a small dining table on the backside of his corner couch and placed nachos and cheese as well as potato chips and dip and a plate of rice balls on the side of it. Between the massive tv and corner couch, he had a coffee table with coasters for people drinks. The drinks themselves were located on the wall opposite the table behind his corner couch. On a bookshelf.

With everything looking right Cole would go and open the door so people can come in. For a second he thought about standing at the door and welcoming people in, but that would get tiresome quickly and decided against it and went and sit down at the table with a drink. Sitting in the corner of his corner couch so that he would be able to see if anyone walked up to the door.

Getting bord cole decided that he was going to go ahead and start the movie. The commercials had just started when he heard someone walking up onto the tiny porch that came with the house. He turned to look out the door and saw Hinata one of the few people that he had sent an actual invite to. “Come in make your self at home” he would yell out across the room. Mostly cause he didn’t want to get up from the couch. She walked in holding a gift and sat it down on the table. “Thanks” would be all Cole would tell her as she walked over and sat down on the couch with him. Part of him was hoping that more people would come to the little party. He was wanting more things for free, but he would be fine if they didn’t. If no one else came he would be nice and feed Hinata over a good movie and then move down to the basement to work on more of his experiments. For the most part, he was working on a way to lava proof of his house. Keeping people out was easy through the use of fuinjutsu and traps, and he could pay people from outside of the village to do the sealing work. Not that he didn’t trust the people in the village but he knew how things worked and if someone attacked there could be traitors in the village.

“Yea I like the village and the people that I’ve met so far, and this place has good access to a lot of stuff that I can use for my experiments.” He told Hinata before thinking how weird that would sound. “I study medical ninjutsu and work on experiments to help heal the body and stuff like that” he would add. Mostly cause he didn’t want to sound like some super creep or nerd that stayed in his workshop all the time. However, now that he was thinking about it he did spend quite a lot of time in his workshop. He had even slept down their a few times and he had only been living here for a few days now. Granted that was mostly because he worked a lot at night and they were only naps. He told himself to make him feel better.

Cole said his goodbyes to Hinata telling her that he would see her around. Before seeing to his other guests. It was turning out to be a pretty good turnout considering that he was still new to the village and tech not a part of the village either. Once he was done mingling with everyone and they had all left. Cole locked the door and headed downstairs to his basement. He still needed to make a few more orders to get his lab working the way he liked it. With a legal pad of paper and a pencil and went through his lab and marked off everything that he had gotten in so far and made a few notes for what else he needed. While the lab would never be big enough to actually work on someone down here there was room for growth and maybe at some point in the future, it would be possible.

With everything noted that he still needed he decided that he would get up early in the morning and head out to make the orders. The truth of the matter was that he probably wouldn’t since he would probably sleep in like normal and get around to it around noon when he left the house to go get some food since he still hadn’t gotten groceries yet. With all that said and done he quickly went upstairs and took a shower before laying down in his bed for the night.
