The Friendly Meeting (Private)

Yuurei was waiting for something to happen, and his attack had gotten his friend to run out of the smoke bomb or so he thought at first. His eyes moved in that direction, and when he was going to go chase Gin, he would come to a stop. The Sharingan would have caught wind of it and there was no chakra system within this clone’s body. He had chuckled a bit as he could tell that his friend was smart indeed. It caught him off guard for a bit as he would hear the sound of the shuriken moving towards him. His head-turning in the direction it would come in. He would stand there as he would allow it to hit him. The Genin knew what he was doing as he figured something like that might happen. Smoke would inhabit the area Yuurei was, but quickly disperse as a log would hit the ground as he was no longer there.

The Uchiha had found himself on a tree nearby as he had seen the second Gin come out of the smoke but now knew this one was a clone as well. His eyes looked in the direction of the smoke as he could see Gin coming out of it and heading towards the log post he had leaned on earlier. Yuurei had found himself about thirty meters away from his friend and figured that he would surprise him.

Yuurei took out two more Shuriken’s as he would toss them both straight at Gin who looked like he was ready for him. That was good, and things were getting interesting. As the Shurikens would approach him, Yuurei would try and go straight towards him, but something else happened. A sudden impact would go against the tree he was in. The young boy would lose his balance as he would find himself falling from the tree and towards the ground. As he got close to the ground he would roll on the ground, so he didn’t have to feel any annoying impact. His body looking to find a way on its feet, he would as he would turn to see what had done that.

His eyes looked in a specific area as he could a bit of chakra coming from a direction not far from them. It wouldn’t take long, but a bear would come out of the training ground and it looked angry that it was disturbed. It also seemed like it was interrupting them on their training session and it was going to be their new sparring partners.

“It seems like we have something else to fight against. I figured this would happen, but I didn’t think it would happen so soon. I chose this place for this exact reason though.” He said this as he took out the Kunai from his weapon pouch again as he held one in each hand.

I have to pick up all my Shurikens and my kunai up before I leave. He thought to himself as he was looking into the eyes of the bear wondering what it was going to do.

His back was against the logpost as he tried to catch his breath. He took a moment to peek around the side to view Yuurei, however instead of seeing his shuriken hit his mark, it actually sank into a log which was in place of where Yuurei was. Gin cursed as he looked about, trying to determine where his training partner was just in time to see two shuriken making their way to him, his body reacted just in time for him to deflect one shuriken with his kunai while jumping out of the way to avoid the second.

Gin tumbled and quickly got back to his feet, readying himself for another attack, but instead of seeing Yuurei facing him, the younger ninja took a defensive stance in a different direction entirely; the moment Gin spotted the bear, he subconsciously took a step back. Fear began to crawl up his spine as he began to wonder if this was some kind of jutsu created by the sharingan.

After Yuurei's explanation, Gin couldn't help but give a deep sigh with slight irritation, "I would have prepared better if I knew you were planning this, Yuurei-kun" Gin shakily said, hoping the bear wouldn't catch sound of him as he slowly moved around the logpost to block the bear's sight of him, however he kept sight of Yuurei, hoping he can follow up on whatever plan the younger ninja had... if he had one.

Yuurei knew that Gin probably hadn’t trained as hard as he had been, so he was worried about his friend. The bear was looking at the two trying to figure out which one of the two was the easy prey. Yuurei would hear his friend speak and he would laugh at his words.

“I didn’t think we would be fighting a bear so soon. I guess we will have to deal with it. I see it as training, so either way, it should be good for us.” He would say this to Gin as he noticed that the bear would look at Gin’s direction.

The Uchiha couldn’t believe it, but the bear had started running straight towards Gin without hesitating. He had sucked his teeth as he wasn’t going to allow this monster to get its way with fighting. He tried to take out a shuriken, but he wasted all of them fighting Gin. He started running towards the bear as he was trying to intercept the beast from getting to his friend. He couldn’t even use the Jutsu he had learned recently. There was only one Jutsu he could use right now. Still, he wanted to get more information on what he was dealing with before he did that. Yuurei didn’t want to give out his strongest move and mess up. He would get to the bear first, and when he did he would slash with his right Kunai, and then with his left Kunai.

This would cause the bear to roar in pain as it would turn its body towards Yuurei and smacking him away with his body. The Genin would slide on the ground as he felt the pain from that blow. That was a heavy bear and he couldn’t believe that it was coming after them. The bear would get up on its hind legs as it was showing its superiority to both of them, before dropping to the ground before rushing towards Yuurei. He would nod as this was what he wanted. He needed the damn bear to pay attention to him, so he could see his attacks coming. The bear would close the gap between Yuurei and it would try to bite the Uchiha. He wasn’t going to allow that to happen as he would barely dodge the bite as he could see a bit better than he usually could and he would stab the bear with his left Kunai.

The bear shouting from the pain would smack Yuurei with its claw as it would send the Genin flying. The young boy would hit the ground as he rolled on it as he was bleeding on his left arm. He chuckled a bit, which turned into a laugh.

“This is fucking great. I couldn’t have asked for a better animal to show itself and fight us.” He said this as he would slowly get up.

His arm bleeding from the attack as he could only crack his neck as he was a bit angry. The little boy showing his excitement from this battle. The bear was giving Yuurei a chance to react though as it was rushing straight for him as it gave up on the easy prey and decided to go for the one giving it a hard time.

The moment the bear laid his eyes upon him, Gin flinched and hesitated. The beast made it's way towards him, it's hulking form was insanely threatening. Because of the hesitation, Gin couldn't dodge, fear was grasping at his legs, preventing him from moving, but what broke him out of the trance was Yuurei intercepting the charging bear by digging his kunais into the beast's side, which in turn caused it to turn upon the younger ninja and sending him flying.

Gin took advantage of this. He decided to prepare a tactic he was planning on Yuurei, now it was needed for the new foe. He pulled out an explosive tag and placed it on the logpost by him. Just as he pulled out two more shurikens, he spotted the bear swipe at Yuurei again after the younger ninja deliverying another blow.

"Yuurei, let me take it from here!" he called out to his friend as he flung the shurikens forward towards the beast which then soon sank into the hide of it's rump. Judging by how the bear reacted as it turned to face Gin, the attack didn't seem to harm it as much as it annoyed it. It roared and ran towards Gin with vigor.

"Damn!" the fear was returning, but this time, Gin reacted, he turned tail and ran off in the opposite direction while looking back.

The moment the bear was beside the logpost where the explosive tag was placed, Gin formed a handseal and the tag soon detonated. The logpost exploded and the bear was blown back. Gin had to avert his eyes as he tumbled due to the wave of force. Luckily he was too far from the explosion to harm him, however the bear was unlucky.

Yuurei saw the bear rushing towards him, but it would seem like he wasn’t going to be alone on this. That was good as he could see that the bear changed its direction. Gin had hit it with shurikens and now angry the animal was charging at his friend. He didn’t like that as he didn’t want anything bad to happen to his friend. He screamed the inside as he was telling his body to move. It wouldn’t take long, but a huge explosion would occur from where Gin was. He had seen his friend run away from the log post, but he didn’t know if he was safe. The bear was blown away though and he could see that it had taken a lot of damage. That was good, and he would rush straight towards the bear instead of checking on Gin. They had to make sure this bear didn’t get back up after that attack.

He could see that the bear was grunting from the pain that it had been exposed to. He would nod at this as he was still running towards the bear. He closed the gap between the two within seconds and while the bear was trying to get up, Yuurei wouldn’t allow it to happen. He would jump into the air and towards the bear with both of his Kunai’s in each hand as he had them bot facing down. He would land right in front of the bear as the two kunais would pierce into the skull of the animal and piercing the brain. The bear would make one last roar before dropping to the ground lifeless. The Uchiha would fall to the ground and on his butt as he pulled the kunais out of the bear’s head. He was panting as he didn’t like how things turned out, but this was training.

Yuurei would get up from the floor though as he remembered the explosion earlier and he would rush over to where Gin was. He could see that his friend was fine and alive, and nothing bad happened to him.

“Nice explosion their Gin, you really got the bear good. It won’t be bothering us anymore, but I think I wasted too much energy with fighting you and the bear altogether.” He said this as he would put the two kunais away and he would sit down on the ground next to Gin.

“I got to ask Gin. Since you plan on staying by side as my teammate does that mean you are fine with whatever decision I make? I plan on making sure that nobody in the ninja world could destroy this village again. To do that I need to make sure that we are as strong as we could be. Do you think you can keep up?” He would ask Gin as he was serious about this.

He wanted to tell him about the event that happened within the bloodworks, but he wasn’t sure where Gin stood. Yes, he knew that his friend would have his back, but would he be fine with Yuurei when he found out that the young boy loved the thrill of killing?

Gin kept low on the ground, a kunai in his hand at the ready as he looked over to the wounded bear. Seeing it growl in anger affirmed that explosive didn't kill it, albeit did cause serious damage by how it moved. The genin was thinking of the next move to make before he spotted Yuurei moving in for the kill. For the moment, Gin was afraid he was going to have to double-up on Yuurei's move, he was worried the younger ninja would be slammed by the bear again and probably severely injured. The bear's corpse hitting the ground and laying motionless brought a sense of relief. Gin lowered his kunai and dropped to the floor, taking in deep breaths; he could feel his heart throbbing so roughly, his ears, red, could feel the throbbing.

Even though Yuurei walked over and sat beside him, Gin still stared at the lifeless bear, his kunai still gripped in his hand, still cautious, in case the beast decided it wasn't ready for death yet. He hadn't caught the first thing Yuurei had said, but when he realized his friend was speaking, he turned to him and caught the gist of the question.

"Y-yeah" he answered, though he was thinking the question through, wondering what was behind it. He lacks social experience, but he knows well enough that some questions had hidden questions and meaning within, but he couldn't just come out and asked what they were, so he nodded his head. Gin wouldn't say he 'loved' his village, but it is the only place that truly felt like home; everything that he enjoyed was in it... everything he's known, "Yeah" he said, this time more assured now that he thought over the question.

Yuurei spoke to Gin as he was trying his best to calm him down. He could tell that his friend was a bit nervous about the situation that they had gotten into, but it was the end of it for now. The answers were simple and bland, but Yuurei didn’t mind it at all. Instead, he would smile at Gin as he was happy he wasn’t against it. He knew that his friend wasn’t a social person and being one of his only friends would mean he would cherish him more than anything. He would pat the older boy on his shoulder as he would smile at him before getting up from the ground.

“Okay, Gin. Since you’re fine with that, then I want to get something off my chest, and I figured I would tell you since I don’t think you would judge me.” He said as he laughed a bit as he rubbed the back of his head nervously.

“I guess I can tell you about it while I go pick up all the Shurikens I threw around the area. I think you should do the same thing.” He said to his friend.

The Uchiha would start walking around the training ground as he would look for this Shurikens and his one Kunai that he threw around. He remembered the direction they were heading into and the young boy knew how far he could throw.

“So, yesterday I killed someone. It was in the Bloodworks, so I didn’t get in trouble for it. Still, it was the first time I ever had to kill someone and even though I didn’t want to kill him, I had no choice. It was either me or him, and I care about my life more than someone I didn’t know.” He paused as he said it loud enough for Gin to hear him as he picked up a few of his Shuriken.

“The worse part isn’t that I killed him, but the feeling I got from doing it. I didn’t feel bad when I took his life, instead, it seems like I enjoyed it. I don’t know what that makes me, but I figured that killing would be something that would haunt me, but there was a thrill of taking his life when it came from battling him.” He took another pause as he found the rest of his stuff, and placed them into the weapon pouch.

Yuurei would stand tall or as tall as he could as he would look over to Gin.

“I remember his name. It was Aoi Valt, and I don’t feel bad about taking his life Gin.” He said as he would sigh as he felt relief to share this with someone as he would look at Gin as he sat on the ground wondering what he would do or say.

As Yuurei began moving about to collect his weaponry, Gin did the same and soon realized what the earlier question was about. Honestly, Gin wasn't too shocked to hear that his friend had killed someone. The puppeteer had read through several books during his time in the academy about the strong possibility that eventually a ninja may come face to face with an obstetrical that involves death; it is 'inescapable', which is why ninjas are expected to be mentally prepared for such things. It was only a surprise to Gin because he didn't expect someone of his age to have already have their first kill.

After picking up his first dropped shuriken, Gin intended on asking Yuurei how he felt, but the young ninja was quick to answer without it being prompted. There was a moment that Gin stood, staring in Yuurei's direction... wondering whether the younger ninja was a sociopath or have some kind of mental disorder that prevents him from feeling empathy. This was all swarming around in Gin's head, but after a moment, the puppeteer began to wonder if it even mattered; Yuurei had to preserve his own life, and in doing so he ended another who threatened his own, it is a simple debate between Darwin's theory and ethical morals, and truthfully, Gin knew well that he himself leaned more towards Darwin's side.

"We as ninjas are expected to carry out our missions and to not die....simple" Gin said simply before retrieving the rest of his fallen weaponry, "If it doesn't worry you, it doesn't worry me" Gin told his friend as he sat beside Yuurei.

When Yuurei was done with getting his own equipment from the area around him, it would seem that Gin would do the same thing. That was good as he figured he would speak to his friend about other things as well before he made his exit from the training grounds. The Uchiha would stretch a bit as he would crack his neck as he was happy to hear Gin’s words as the young man returned to his original spot.

“Yeah, I guess you’re right about that, but I am glad you don’t really have a problem with that. I figured if I told you, that you might not want to hang around with me anymore, but I guess I was wrong.” He said to Gin with a smile on his face.

He would look over and around and figured that there wouldn’t be any enemies around this place. Their training was done and to be honest, Yuurei could feel that he himself, had gotten stronger. The little kid could only wonder and test his ability out in his incoming missions. He didn’t know whether or not Gin would be in them, but if his friend were in them, then he figured that the two of them would be able to get stronger together and test out their abilities as a team.

“Well, I’m beat Gin. I think we are done with training today. If anything I think you should work on becoming a medical ninja as well. I hurt you a bit, so I think you should go get yourself check if anything. It shouldn’t take that long for you to get yourself to heal. I am hungry as well, so I do expect to get something to bite.” He said this as he figured to say one more thing.

“I will see if we can go on a mission soon. It would be for the best that we do. Even if it’s a small mission, it would be better than nothing, if I say so myself. We get paid and at the same time they could see that we are being serious about being ninjas.” He would say this as he would help Gin back up onto his feet.

When his friend was back on his feet, Yuurei would start walking towards the exit of the training ground. They had done a lot and little did the young Genin know, his Sharingan had evolved from having one tomoe on it to now have two tomoes on it. He was making progress in mastering his eyes and soon enough it would show.

Gin had taken Yuurei's first statement as a compliment. He had always thought his way of thinking made him different in a way that was difficult for others to accept him. As he stood up and followed behind Yuurei, he thought about his suggestion as the pain on his shoulder surged every so often, the sweat stinging the cut. "Medical" he said to himself.

As soon as Yuurei mentioned food, Gin's stomach growled and nodded his head, "Food sounds like a good idea". Every few steps, the stinging pain would annoy him and cause him to wince, eventually the thought of taking up medical training was more of an absolute. So it was official, Gin would take the time to look into it.

"Missions would be good, as long as I get the full description of what we may encounter" he gave Yuurei a look as he began walking abreast with him. The bear was a difficult opponent and if Gin knew before hand, he would have been better prepared. Now he'll intend on being more on his toes.
