Still crouching her fingertips pressed into the ground as she watched their reactions - Gin took a step forward, seeming to embrace the oncoming water with widening arms until she noticed the slender threads erupting from his fingertips and slashing at the water… this would not stop the jutsu from slamming into him or Yuurei who hadn’t attempted to dodge or move out of the way. As both got swept up in the torrent of water the two clones of herself would reposition themselves - now standing on top of the water on either side. The water would be moving at a power of 40 thus dragging both back and having both be with a few meters of each other- ultimately sweeping them to the center of the 40 meter length. As the water is moving back at 40 speed the two clones are running at full speed, keeping up easily with the torrent. One clone would be forming the seal Snake and clapping to form two perfect spheres around either of the two boys while the other would place their hand on the sphere the first clone wasn’t already at.
Effectively trapping both in spheres at powers of 30 and holding them in place while the water that Mizu had originally created dissipated out onto the grounds. As the two remained suspended she would finally rise to her feet and stare at the two from across the 40 meter expanse, fold her arms back behind her, and proceed to shake her head with disappointment. Not wanting to hold them in the water for too long she would have the clones dispel the spheres - only holding them for a single minute so as not to cause real harm, only discomfort at the lack of oxygen which most likely could cause lightheadedness as a result. The two clones would watch the boys with sharp eyes as they came back to themselves - gasping for air, shouting profanities, whatever they needed they would not interrupt - only when the two seemed in better faculties would the first speak. “This is a teaching moment, not failure. I saw real potential come out of you Gin and I am impressed with your ingenuity, resourcefulness, and situational awareness. However, Yuurei, I do not understand what was going on in your mind, did you think you could simply hold steady against that much water? You did nothing to defend yourself or evade the attack and that worries me in regards to how you handle defense on a team. You are a powerhouse by all means but if you overestimate your ability you will end up in the same boat as you were today. Training over for the day. I want you two to continue to spar, work out the kinks in that summoning Gin, we have no room for second try's when your life's on the line. Good work you two… be smart.”
As she finished her assessment the original Mizuki, which had stood 40 meters away watching the interaction, would have turned and made for the path leading back into the village, the clones dispelling themselves after the two had spoken to them if they so choose.
I wonder how Guren’s training was coming along...
