Further Training

Guren was quite pleased with the results of the surgery, especially with Zaine's indication that the most unease he felt was due to anxiety. Little would Zaine have known, this was Guren's first surgery on a live patient. By no means was he an expert. However from his observations of Kenshin, his studies, and the blessings of his Dojutsu, Guren had a deep understanding of the process. All he had to do was execute it. Besides, the removal of the vital organs from the bodies he acquired gave him some first hand experience with the human body. Alas, there was no reason to make Zaine aware of this. Although, it would make for a humorous conversation. 

He nodded at Zaine's affirmation of his status and his approval of Guren's work. "Well I am glad to hear you're feeling fine. Try to take it easy, drink water, and let your body recuperate over the next 24 hours. You should be back up to speed in no time."

As Zaine observed the room, Guren felt a wave of pride surge across him. Clearly Zaine was at least slightly impressed by the set up and skills of his captain. But at the same time, Guren was of Zaine. He was a fine shinobi who seemed to be ambitious and serious about making himself stronger. He was the exact type of shinobi that would move moutains for Zaine.

Guren smiled at Zaine's invitation and slightly lowered his head. "Yes, let's. But for now, I need to properly store this former kidney of yours and sanitize the room. Let's reconvene in the near future and see how that surgery is treating you."

Now with the procedure done and the nerves of the situation out of the way, it was time for Zaine to speak with his comrade about an few things that had truly peaked his interest- the man sitting before him had displayed a proficiency that he had yet to witness in other shinobi. He was capable of using multiple specialties and elements in fluid motion with little no effort and to make matters even more interesting, it appeared that he held two doujutsu and Zaine was not familiar with either one. He would take a seat and allow the man to finish moving around the contents of his workspace before speaking to him again "So Guren, during our fight I saw that you were able to manipulate your own blood and utilize it as a weapon. I also saw that you had two differing eyes that are undoubtedly doujutsu so are those abilities connected to your eyes? Ive never quite seen irises like them before." He would await a reply from the Chinoike as he was sure there was quite a bit more for him to learn and there was no better time than the present.
