Moving Forward (P, IO Akaboshi, Mashashi, Tsubaki)

Yasaki decided it was time to move on with his life. He needed to pick three individuals who were destined after him to become the leaders of hoshigakure. Of course, it was the three leaders leading the squads. Yasaki was getting old and needed to retire soon enough. It wasn’t easy picking three individuals close to him. But maybe others were active themselves, but he chose the ones leading the squad. He checked the list, checking for any other potential. Unfortunately, he couldn’t find any. He dreamed that one day, he might finally resign, either way.

All he knew was that his time would end, but still, he was glad to become the sixth kage. The previous of those before him built this village successfully, and possibly after him maybe, the next Kage will make this village even better than Yasaki could have done. He had faith in his deputy and had faith in the three chuunin that he picked. But at least he can or finally eventually move on with his life. He still wasn’t finished, but he only guessed that the next generation would do even better than he did.

He informed Jakosaki to message Akaboshi, Masashi, and Tsubaki about a matter he wished to speak about. Either way, he wanted to produce something for them, gifting them with something they had undoubtedly been waiting for.

Tsubaki was sipping on some of her famous tea dressed in thigh high boots and white shorts that covered the rest of her legs and an autumn orange tank top jacket. She was seated just on her couch, legs crossed, when a knock came to the door. She got up and placed down her tea on the coffee table. A note had slipped under the doorframe. She picked up the note and opened the door to find that there was no one there. With only the note in her hand, she opened it curiously and found that it was a notice from the Kage, Yasaki. She hadn't from him for some good time. Tsubaki was to meet him at his office for a meeting. Tsubaki slipped on her weapon pouch around her thigh before heading out instantly, too excited to bother dumping out the tea that was on her coffee table. 

She arrived at the Unseen University, showing the notice the shinobi posted there so that she wouldn't be seen as a threat. After the guard let her through, Tsubaki would show up to the office of the man himself. "Yasaki, It's been a while since we spoke last." Tsubaki would sit in an available seat. "I've missed you."

And yet another lovely day in the land that Masashi called home. The sun warmly greeted him as he woke up that morning, the view from his balcony was beautiful as usual as he stood there after getting out of bed. Sunrise was one of his favourite times of the day, especially from this viewpoint. It was always worth it, seeing the Water Gardens below after coming back from a mission. His last mission was done the day before and completed successfully to his knowledge. The information that Tsubaki and himself had collected would be invaluable to the efforts of stopping the Jaws of Grima from expanding their territory. His butler entered his rooms at that point to let him know that breakfast was ready and that there was a letter waiting for him. Intrigued, Masashi made his way downstairs.

He ate breakfast while he read through his mail. The first few items were mission reports. One from yesterday and a couple from some previous missions he’d participated in. There was a letter from his mother, and an update on a patient of his from the hospital. The last piece of mail was from the Hokage’s office directly, probably should have read that first. The letter was an invitation from the Hogokage to a meeting of sorts. Not something Masashi would decline, so he should probably head over there sooner rather than later. He would get dressed and make his way over to the Unseen University. On his way out of his front gate, he would bend down and pick up some dirt, converting it into clay.

The building was no different than the last time he’d been here, however he would make his way inside and up to the Hogokage’s office, nodding to the guards before entering the office. Yasaki wasn’t the only one inside; Tsubaki was also there. Masashi smiled at her and nodded to Yasaki. “Hello Tsubaki, Lord Hogokage. I trust you are both doing well?”

It would turn out to be yet another promising day for The Red King of Hoshigakure as he was making his way to the location where he was summoned to by Jakosaki, the trusted gate guard of Yasaki Uchiha, the Hogokage. It was that same man who delivered a letter containing a message for them to meet, which is why the red haired Uzumaki made his way over to the Unseen University. On his walk, Akaboshi started to wonder why of all people, he was the one being requested to meet. All kinds of different scenarios started to play off inside his mind, but none really stood out as to why he could be summoned, mostly because the relationship between the redhead and the Hogokage wasn't one of trust yet. They needed a little bit more if they were to establish that kind of relationship.

As he so often used to do while he was out, Akaboshi reached inside one of his side pockets as he grabbed his pack of cigarettes before lighting one up. Inhaling deeply, followed by exhaling as he blew away the smoke. By the time he had finised his cigarette, Akaboshi had already arrived at his destination as he was greeted by the guards who told him the Kage was expecting him. After being let through, he continued making his way over to the Leader Chambers where he expected to meet up with Yasaki. Upon his arrival at the office, Akaboshi knocked three times before he would enter. To his surprise he noticed not to be the only one present as he saw his fellow Uzumaki, Masashi and a kunoichi he hadn't met before. "Good day all, what's the occasion?" A simple bow meant for Yasaki and a smile for the two other shinobi in the room, followed by joining them as he waited for the Hogokage to explain what was going on.

Yasaki wouldn't waste time at all, choosing to continue without converting with Tsubaki or any other chunin leader. He explained to the trio that he saw them as leaders in Hoshi. After finishing, he would announce that the three would be getting a promotion. This filled Tsubaki with pride, grinning at the Hogokage. "Thank you," She bowed. Tsubaki had felt that she had worked hard for this promotion, making it all the sweeter. The Senju took the gift with her name on in that Yasaki had gifted them along with their promotion. She looked at the gift for a moment before looking at the Kage. "I hope to catch you around. We won't let you down." She would take the leave after accepting the promotion if there was nothing else to the meeting.

As would often be the case for The Red King, Akaboshi listened attentively to the words of the Hogokage while everyone else was present. Perhaps "everyone else" wasn't the right choice of words considering there were only three of them besides Yasaki himself, which could indicate it was something for their eyes and ears only. On the other hand the red haired Chuunin might be looking into things too much and the Kage had a whole different reason for calling them out to meet him. Anyway, Akaboshi figured it wouldn't be much longer before Yasaki would explain why they had to come see the older Uchiha.

The Hogokage kept it short and simple, going on about how he saw the three of them as leaders, people Hoshigakure could count on now and in the future. The redhead started to get a feeling where all of this was going, but decided to remain silent until he was certain what was going to happen. And then, finally, as he expected, the words confirming his earlier thoughts. Pointing at his desk, Yasaki informed the three of them they were getting promoted to Jounin, their respective Jounin Jacket laying where the Kage pointed at. To say Akaboshi was proud and taking the moment in would be an understatement. It was all part of his plan to play a major role in the future of Hoshigakure.

He accepted the jacket as well as the promotion as he took what now belonged to him. "Thank you Lord Hogokage, I'll make sure you won't regret it." If nothing else was required from him Akaboshi would leave the office and set out into the village, once a Chuunin, now a Jounin.
