Servicing the Elderly

Well it seemed as though this mission would truly take the cake for most mundane, as at least a cat did not get lost every week but one would have to go grocery shopping for sustenance around that often. Despite seemingly being an uninteresting task Miko set about it just like any other thing that had been assigned to her thus far and tried to bear in mind that this would help the overall work load of the village. One day she too would require someone to gather her food for her as age extracted it's heavy toll upon the physical body, grinding it down as it did to all material things. There was some solace and peace to be found in helping another when they were in their twilight stage in this journey of life. So it was that Mikofujo tackled this task like any other and made her way to the old man's house with haste in order to make sure that he did not worry that his substitute helper would arrive.

The man had a nice and quiet cottage, it was quite a relaxing structure to observe even from the outside and it had the charm of being lived in for decades with oddities abounding on the roof as decorations. The whole thing brought a smile to the shinobi's face that she carried into the house with her, entering the dwelling with a joy that radiated off of her after being beckoned inward by the man's words. The man matched the house and it was a delight speaking to him as he let Miko know the list of foodstuffs he would need for the upcoming week, it seemed the list would be easy enough to memorize internally so the ninja did not bother to write it down and bid the person in her care a fond farewell for now until she returned.

Setting out for the store was a simple enough task, locating the food even more so but waiting in the dog forsaken line was truly an aborhance that nobody should suffer under. There were five kiosks, and only two had workers in them forcing the fourteen customers to cue into a pair of awkward, unwieldy, and insufferably long lines. It was truly the worst part of this whole ordeal so far and the girl found her patience drained more than most of the talking that she had done since becoming a ninja combined. Perhaps the inability to express herself in a social situation and being forced to conform was what had done it, the lass did not know.

With a sigh of relief she finally reached the check out, the cashier rang up her goods and the purchase went smoothly which the ninja was very thankful for as by now she simply wished to leave the store before night fell. Luckily she did so and made her way back to the kindly old man, who thanked her far more than she felt comfortable with before she departed off to her next mission on her ninja journey.
