Kiseragi watched as the summit began to spiral down with the mediator, Kenshin, stepping in. This was going as well as he expected this to at this point and honestly he was curious as to what would happen at this point. His finger idly but silently tapped on the stone table in front of him as he watched the back and forth between the former Kazekage and the Mizukage for a moment or two as his head began to tilt to the side. If the man still believed he had won in the end then he must have truly been blind, but he had definitely made enemies on this day. Once the delegation of Kiri had fully departed, Kiseragi’s eyes would return to the remaining villages,” Well that was definitely eventful. The future holds an unlimited amount of possibilities from this one interaction, but let us not linger on it further. Kumogakure will join in this endeavor to promote social traveling and interaction between villagers. In the past we were close to both Konoha and Suna.. before the actions of the select few ruined it. Perhaps we can rekindle our past connections and build off of them once more. On the note of the Exams I am sure there are many within my walls that would relish in the chance to test their mettle against others of another village,” he’d slowly begin to stand from his seat as he moved to place his sword back onto his back to leave.
Ushering his aide to come with him, he would request Nobo to pick up the gift left by the Kiri guard. As he began to make his departure he would turn to look at the other Kage, more specifically Wan,” For someone thrusted into a peculiar position you held your own. I look forward to seeing what the successor of my adoptive father brings to the Leaf. I don’t know what aide I can give you in times of war, but you’ve made a friend and potential ally today. If you find yourself in the Land of Lightning come and see me. I bid you all a good day,” he would give the other Kage a polite nod, bringing his left hand to meet his right hand balled into a fist as he bowed. From there he would begin to leave the spire, heading to one other place before departing home.

“My loss for not reciprocating these touching feelings you had towards me, Lord Mizukage.” The taijutsu expert said, understanding the armadillo owner’s pain was very special.
The stoic youth watched the Armored Shadow take his exit through the big double door and across the main hall. The bodyguard and the former KazeKage turned mediator fell to either side of him. The room was cool enough, but when the door opened in front of them, a blast of hot air from outside came through, and Ayato felt as though he was in the mouth of a dragon. It was hot in Hoshi but not like this.
The Mizukage was crude as new steel, and like new steel, he would profit from some beating. Ayato was unsure if The Hokage would be the man to give him one such if the proposed duel had been accepted. The Mizukage could be the greatest fighter in the shinobi world or a boy with a wooden sword roleplaying a peasant fantasy. The only sure thing was that four armies would definitely shatter one if they were united in their cause, of course.
It seemed the Lady of Suna shared the same notion. She had the look of both a warrior and a tactician. Immediately suggesting Chuunin Exams and safe travel corridors between their villages. The Raikage agreed, and it was safe to assume the Hokage, who had remained silent, would be as well. Ayato decided he was not displeased with the people in this room.
“About to be alone at last,” The Byakugan heir thought as he nodded in agreement to the Raikage’s exit. Well, technically, it would be Ayato, the Lady of Sunagakure, and their bodyguards. Jak Dosser had remained still as a statue for the entire meeting, the balding man’s expressions betraying nothing. But his eyes followed everything, and the seasoned veteran did not miss much. As for the usually unfiltered Tsubaki...surprisingly, she had listened to Ayato and had restrained herself from speaking.
“Chuunin Exams. No true shinobi alliance is cemented until they do one of those. Ours should be one such.” He told her out with traces of friendliness. “You would do my people and me a great honor if you agreed to host this event in my village. Hoshigakure has kept its doors closed to the public for far too long.”
Ayato shoved a fresh fall of black hair off his forehead “The former Kazekage, and I share a common past.” And a relationship of unspoken respect neither had indeed decided upon but ended up with anyway. “There are a few possessions on his person that belong to Hoshigakure…obviously he held to them for safekeeping until I arrived to receive them. As to properly thank him, I hope that an extended stay of me and my personal guard within your fine walls would be of no trouble."
In truth, the Ragdoll was not the only one the Hogokage shared history with. His gaze momentarily to Zaine before returning to the Kazekage. Ayato had recognized him from the moment he entered this room. That horse face of the older Uchiha would be hard to remove from any person’s memory. But as there were more prominent matters to address, he did not give a hint of that….until now anyway. Luckily these Uchiha spilled more than Curse of Hatred in Konoha. So the Hyuuga heir, during his days there, had the pleasure to know both Zaine and his brother. Shikoku a lot better, during their meeting in Haven Border, three years ago. The taijutsu expert still bore a scar on his chest where took he took Shikoku’s Chidori. And Ayato was the one who had gotten the better end of that encounter. That, however, would be a story for a different time. Past grievances had to be left aside when serving a better cause. After all, one makes peace with his enemies, not his friends.
“If you wish to talk about any other matter, political or not. I trust you will be able to find me. Until then, you have my thanks, Lord Kazekage, and my promise. Should you honor my humble requests, I will be your loyal ally.”
Ayato, not breaking eye contact, would wait to hear what the lady of the porcelain face had to say. If she brought an official end to this meeting from her back, the Hogokage would rise from his fine mahogany chair, take a short but respectful bow. Then take his leave, along with his guards.

It seemed as though the Hokage was lost in his own mind, or simply was trying to process what had happened and how it all seemed to be wrapping up - regardless of the reasoning her words fell on deaf ears. With a soft sigh she would reach out and pat his arm before turning back to the remaining men, allowing the Hokage to deal in his own way was the only choice she had at the moment. The man was so lost in his own mind it felt as though the air around him was growing cold as he further retreated into his thoughts - she half expected the man to rise and leave the room at any moment without so much as a glance back. This was not the time to dwell on the inner workings of a silent man though, especially not when the Raikage was not only speaking, but rising from his seat.
Without asking for details he accepted both the offer of inter-nation travel and the inclusion of his village into the Chunin Exams, watching him place the sword that had garnered attention from the Mizukage only made her curious as to what made the blade so special for it to be prized. As the Raikage and his silent shadow of a guard headed for the door he would look back, giving one last statement before departing; The Lightning Country stood behind Konoha in these times, interesting. She would stand to properly reciprocate his departure, mimicking his actions quickly before announcing to his back, “A letter detailing both accepted proposals will be sent to your office, safe travels Raikage and thank you for your time.” With that he was gone and the Hokage would finally move from his stoic thought, using this opportunity to bow at the two and depart without word - she stared after him with a hard look of skepticism and worry etched into her drawn brows. The moment he too was out of view she would take a rather deep breath, shutting her eyes and pressing her fingertips into the table top - after the moment of collection she would open her eyes and move to the seat next to the remaining Kage; The calm and reserved Hogokage.
Settling into the seat that was once the Raikage’s she sat with her full attention on the man, his heartbeat even and methodical; completely in control. Though now when he spoke the cold edge and apathy was melted away a bit, a tone of friendliness could be discerned if one was paying attention. The mention of the Exams being hosted in Hoshigakure made her posture automatically stiffen, the memories of her once beloved life in the village flashing in her mind; but as usual she was controlled as ever and gave a polite smile and a few thoughtful nods. Seems the man and Kenshin had a past that she wasn’t familiar with, albeit he hinted at it in his response to the Mizukage but now was full confirmation.
“Hoshigakure… it would be a real treat to welcome us into your village, I would be just as honored to accept the offer. Of course you and your guard are welcome to stay for as long as you wish, your accommodations will be extended as well of course. The planning and finer details can be worked out in the weeks to come via messengers but I will be more than happy to draft some things up. An opportunity such as this doesn’t come around often enough. Hoshigakure has an ally in Sunagakure for as long as you wish it, I will be in contact, enjoy yourselves while you are here and please… don’t hesitate to ask for anything, my office is always open. Thank you for your time and open mind Lord Hogokage.” As he stood and bowed she too would rise, mimicking his movements as well and watching the three exit seamlessly without word.
Finally with the room empty, she looked over at her Guard Zaine, the mask falling from her face for the first time since she entered the room; the expression she wore was one of triumph and burden. The strides made today were great… but the missteps were arguably just as great; there was much to learn and even more to do. Closing her eyes she would lift her face to the ceiling, releasing a deep breath she had been holding, the tightness in her chest loosening slightly. After a moment she would return to the present, nodding at Zaine, “Thank you for your work today, we have.. much to work through, another day though. I’ll be retiring in my office if you or anyone else needs me.” With that she would sweep from the room, place her hand on the seal, and transport herself to the Kage office - shutting herself in and beginning the pacing.

Kenshin would do little more than smirk at the weak barbs that were directed at him by the current leader of Kirigakure… the ‘man’ that stood before him had, quite literally, turned around and said “I'm rubber and you're glue whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you” in a somewhat less childish fashion. It was… pathetic, and as such The Ragdoll wouldn’t bother giving a reply of any kind. It was more amusing when he declared his doubt that Kenshin had killed Xyxer as he ‘claimed’... a feat that The Reaper has never claimed… although that was solely because the former leader of Kiri had fled like the coward he was before Kenshin had been truly able to take to the field. Again, he wouldn’t bother to reply to the Mizukage in any way, not feeling the need to explain that he had never once claimed to kill the man's predecessor, simply state the obvious and say that the man was dead. It was obvious to anyone that had known or met with him… as there was no way that The Leviathan would have allowed a whelp like this to represent his village in a Kage Summit, or become Kage in the first place.
Once both the Mizukage and his guard had been escorted out, and his Byakugan was unable to see either of the duo, Kenshin would take a few steps back and make sure he was completely out of sight, before activating his Mayfly and making his way back to The Spire. His arrival was unnoticed by all, something easy to accomplish seeing as he only allowed his head to peek out of the upper right corner of the room, hidden behind a small banner that was hanging from the roof. He would listen and watch with his Byakugan, although he would take note of the fact that he had missed the exit of the Raikage, and the beginning of Ayato’s own. He heard Ayato mentioning that someone possessed some things that belonged to Hoshigakure, and it didn’t take a genius to know that the man was referring to him. Thankfully, it seemed that the man didn’t appear to hold any grudges… but then again, The Hyuuga Scion had always been good at suppressing his own feelings and emotions.
As everyone left Kenshin would once more merge with the wall and leave The Spire, heading towards the Hospital. He knew that Mizuki wouldn’t want company after that ordeal… and what an ordeal it was… heh, he almost found himself wishing that it would have been as simple as the last Summit. At least then he could have simply killed the Mizukage and his retinue… but no, he couldn’t do that without something more than simple words from the Kirigakure delegation. As the man arrived in his office he would release a simple sigh as he sat down.
What a fucking mess.
