A Bench???

Daiko had hit the nail on the head. Nico was talking about the 'excitable' Saya. While that is not the word he would use for. It definitely covers a large majority of her traits. Nico would continue that line of thoughts with, "Yeah, I'm talking about Saya, though excitable is a word that I personally would not use. She is quite eccentric though." Nico would take a moment to sigh before continuing with, "Yeah we recently met, did some training the usual. We should definitely go on some missions together. Though in regards to the tofu, of course." Ending that line of thought in his mind he got up in a similar fashion to his "tour guide" and followed him out of the establishment.

Following the shorter ninja he would take note of the words he would make about Nico's kage. "yeah I'm sure it would be fine. He probably goes through all the aspiring ninja anyways." The wandering ninja had met the kage and he had been amicable. That spoke leaps and bounds in the position since the last few mizukages. Nico would have to meet the man at some time. Then what he heard next answered his question. The man had done a mission with the puppeteer that had resulted in him gaining all of this knowledge. 

"Yeah, I could understand that, though I didn't have to go through the academy myself. Just showed I had ample skills and they put me on the watch to ascertain my loyalty. Eventually, I passed and became a shinobi of Kirigakure. I bet if you showed more skill than me and proved yourself you could get in at a higher level but I honestly have no idea." Nico's entry was quite simple, though he did pull a couple of strings with his mother's old friends to get in.

"I honestly have no idea, I have not looked into Kiri history too deeply. Only into their bloodlines." Nico had no idea the statue had no key characteristics of any leaders of the village he had known.

Daiko scratched his chin. He understood how if Niko was a traveler, he probably wouldn't know too much about Kirigakure aside from what had been around since he had been here. Not really worrying about it, Daiko takes a moment to drift off in his mind thinking about what types of things that they could possibly do. Though it could be somewhat fun for them to try out some other food places, Daiko assumed that Niko wouldn't know exactly what it was that he wanted to do. It was no matter, though. Daiko had a couple of ideas up his sleeve. He figured that the best bet would be to do what he usually does when it comes to actually have to plan things out and find a place for them to get some sort of training underway. It wouldn't be the most difficult thing in the world, though Daiko was definitely excited for what was to come. Maybe this young man might be able to show off some puppetry skills that he hadn't gotten a chance to see from Saya yet, or maybe Daiko could teach this dude a thing or two. For the moment, it was basically up in the air. 

Not entirely sure of why he decided to come to this damned statue in the first place, Daiko looks over at Niko once again. He didn't have very much passion behind his eyes, and Daiko wasn't sure if the man would last a single round in combat with him. Instead, he decided that it might be best that he would get around to teaching him some useful techniques. There were definitely things as well that he himself wanted to train, and didn't want to spend too much time frolicking about when he had such big goals ahead of him in the future. Nodding his head for a moment, he looks back at Niko. "So, What I'm thinking..." Daiko trails off for a second, looking in the general direction of the training area that he had been at before. "I'm thinking that we should go do some training. I have a few techniques that I want to get down better, and I also want to see if I can teach you a few basic techniques. You think you can handle that?" Daiko tilts his head slightly, waiting for the man to respond. If he did, he would slowly begin to walk towards the training grounds, letting the man follow behind him. 

Hopefully, they would make it there in good time. Daiko would be very open to seeing what kind of questions this young Niko might have for him, as well as being able to learn a few things himself. If this man didn't have anything to teach him, Daiko wouldn't be upset or anything, though the thought of joining the village was somewhat lingering on his mind. Though it was nice here, Daiko didn't see any particular reason to stick around too long. It seemed to be a pretty relaxed place to be, and for the moment, Daiko was seeking excitement.

Nico took the gesture of understanding with a grain of salt. Of course, it was understandable that he did not know of the old mizukage. He had only been here for a couple of months himself. The Mizukage he would soon find out was the warlord Xyxer. Watching the man as he looked Nico up and down probably trying to gauge his abilities or personality he watched the man turn around.

"Yeah, I have no idea who this guy is maybe he was a peaceful mizukage maybe not." Nico would then notice the dirt and grime that laid upon the statue. Seeing this he would continue with "Though from the looks of the statues state of disrepair, I can only assume the latter." Turning back around to face the man he would notice that he was speaking again this time on the next subject he wished to speak on, that, of course, being training. 

"Do you happen to know any doton techniques? I have a natural affinity for the element but know next to nothing, in the field regarding techniques. I find myself quite lacking in the field of ninjutsu seeing as I am a puppetry specialist myself." To emphasize the point he would calmly release some chakra strings wiggling them around in the air before letting them disappear just a moment later.

"Well, I'm guessing we are heading towards the training center then. It will be nice to practice and learn with another ninja. Especially a non-kiri one." Nico turned and followed the man as he went to make his way to the training grounds. Nico assumed that he was allowed there as he knew the location so he did not question the fact instead he went back to talking, "So you must have some experience in some ninja fields being a traveling ninja and all. Say what fields do you specialize in if you don't mind me asking?" Nico was interested maybe the man was a puppeteer, though that was very unlikely.

Daiko raised his eyebrows in excitement at the mention of Doton. Ah, yes. The fact that this man also had a natural affinity was also pretty interesting, and it was nice to hear. Daiko had plenty of things that he knew how to do with Doton, as well as different things that he would be able to teach this young man. He was glad at the very least that they would be able to have a subject for their training. However it all worked out, Daiko would just be happy to find someone else that understood the earth element. To be honest, Daiko hadn't been seeing a lot of other ninjas, though with recently learning how to use lightning, it was refreshing to be able to train what he was naturally gifted in. Daiko would then stretch out his shoulders, giving the man a reply. "Oh, hell yeah. I also have a natural affinity for Doton. Earth release is pretty solid, and it can offer you a lot of versatility. I'll definitely show you some cool techniques, whenever we get the chance." Nodding his head, Daiko would then give the young man a thumbs up, before continuing on their way to the training area. 

Daiko looked in the man's direction while walking, listening to the question that he had. "Oh, what kind of specialties..?" Daiko scratches his head, trying to think about what he had learned in the past few weeks. Though he was naturally proficient with space-time techniques, he didn't exactly want to reveal that right of the gate. Though he had given him no real reason not to trust him, Daiko figured that his jumpy nature might lead him to be somewhat... revealing of secrets if put under immense pressure. At the very least, Daiko would be able to share the things that mostly all ninja would know if they had witnessed some sort of training with him. "Me? Well. I'm proficient with Ninjutsu, pretty much. I manipulate the earth, usually, and I can do some funky stuff with lightning." Daiko nods his head, hoping that that answer was sufficient for the man. "But, what about you? Do you know how to do ninjutsu at all?" Daiko tilts his head slightly, wondering what this man was able to do. Judging by what they have been through so far, the only thing Daiko knew for certain was that he didn't specialize in spicy food. 

As they had made it to the training grounds, Daiko would turn to his friend as they had made it close to the door. Nodding for a second, he pointed to the entrances. "So, this is where we're going to be training. I assume that you've been here before?" Daiko would then push open the doors and begin to walk inside, taking in the sights once more. Ahhh. It was somewhat refreshing. He had first met his friend Kikuo here, and he wondered what might be in store for the future with him and the ninja of Kirigakure.

Nico watched the man raise his eyebrow in excitement. This was a good sign maybe the man was a natural doton user such as himself. The thought excited Nico maybe he could learn something from the shorter ninja. that would be preferable. Though Nico really did need to pick up another element in order to widen his ability library. But first," he should focus on the element he would no doubt be most proficient with.

"You would? That would be great! I myself have not learned any high-ranked jutsu, I mostly have only practice low-level elemental manipulation. Though recently I have been wishing to pick up some lower leveled ninjutsu before I can fully take the time to specialize in the field." Nico was not lying if the younger man could teach him some low-level jutsu so he had something to work on after he mastered the art of puppetry. Nico would pause to see if the man responded and then speak again with, "As I said I personally am studying the art of puppetry. But soon I plan on investing some time in ninjutsu. Though I have never fought a lighting user. It's kinda hard to find a doton instructor in the land of the mist."

He kept following the man, the busy streets of kiri were always a pain to navigate, though that was also a sign that the village was thriving. Strange considering the circumstances. Following the older ninja throughout these streets watching his moves to try and gauge more about the man. Failing to do so he just lowered his eyes to the ground and followed the wandering ninja. 

Arriving at the training ground and watching the ninja kick open the doors he almost voiced some concern but decided against it. Watching as the man entered the middle of the training ground and asked his question he would take little time before responding. "Of course I have been here before I'm pretty sure every ninja in kiri has. So where do we begin sensei?"
