Task: Somebody would give up their firstborn child (and possibly already has) to see you dead and in the ground. Where the hell did they even find this guy? How did they afford this? All questions for later, if you survive. Threads should begin as a casual social thread or unrelated mission thread until the assassin arrives. If there is a group of characters undertaking this mission, the NPCer will choose one that they are specifically targeting, and they only have to kill their mark and make a getaway to succeed.


The last class had left for the day as the young master of the Gentle Wolf Dojo sat silently in the middle of the training room. He had been in a massive 50 meter room adorned with six pillars that stood 50 meters and spaced 10 meters apart that kept the ceiling from falling into the room. Along the walls were numerous weapons from different fighting styles, some made for practice and many others made for more serious fighting. Yaju had done his sweeps to make sure no one was still currently within the confines of the building. Both his Byakugan and chakra sensory skills enabling him to make sure he had been alone after the last group of students had left. The room itself had only one entrance which had been 25 meters away from where Yaju had been sitting in a meditative style, relaxing from a long day of teaching. His Byakugan had still been active though his had never had any real indication of being seen. It had been many years since he had developed his own technique to change his body and in doing so removed the ugly bulging of his veins that came with the activation of his bloodline. With a small sigh he would continue to take in a breath as he allowed the world around him to fall silent and flow around him. Sitting no more than a couple of inches in front of him had been a single katana, sheathed and silent though he felt as if he had no need for it tonight he would still keep it by his side. After leaving Kumo, he sought out a home that would give him the things he wanted the most- peace, a new life and something to pass on. Though as with a new life he knew nothing would ever truly stay buried. As the wind of the cool night sky filled with Dojo, Yaju would remain where he had been and silently meditated but would never really let down his guard.

A figure with jet black spikey hair and luminescent pale skin was standing 30M away from the single doorway of the training Dojo. Atom found himself here this evening not out of coincidence, but out of necessity. More specifically, to settle a debt. A debt that haunted most shinobi who longed for a peaceful ending to a long life filled with strife. The location he was currently at was rumored to be where a certain shinobi had been hanging their hat, attempting to hide from their past and peacefully live out the remainder of their days- a luxury that unfortunately was not awarded often to people such as him.
 
“Did you think you could just run away?” Atom would call out. The tone of his voice was that of pure confidence. As if he were the grim reaper and this interaction was just another transaction. Despite the nature of his sudden appearance, Atom was not a villain. He too was just another lifelong shinobi with hopes of defeating the demons of his past and finding a peaceful ending- whether it was alive or dead. The problem with becoming powerful though was that only death by the hand of someone more powerful than them could truly grant them the peace they longed for. In the end, despite their different backgrounds and origins, the two of them were both trained killers and tonight, only one would walk away with their life and the other would find peace in defeat.
 
With his sharingan activated in the most basic state, Atom would perform 4 hand seals (Tiger - Horse - Ram - Clone seal) and small, brief clouds of smoke would appear next to him on either side, producing 2 shadow clones in his image. Upon being summoned, Clone A (directly to the originals right) would begin producing hand seals of their own (Ram → Horse → Snake → Dragon → Rat) and upon completion, would exhale a stream of fire, six inches width, which would shortly after detach and take on the shape of a dragon. The fire dragon would now travel in a straight line towards the doorway of the dojo, and if uninterrupted, would crash through the front doorway and into the building, causing the wooden foundation and pillars it came in contact with to light ablaze, destroying the integrity of the buildings support, causing the foundation to shake and the building to begin producing sounds and signs that it was beginning to collapse inward upon itself. While Clone A performed the jutsu, Atom and Clone B would continue to look upon the Dojo for signs of life or their enemy, keeping their wits about them.
 
“Yaju Hayate! Last Sannin of Kumogakure, I know you are in there! Come give me the fight that I deserve!” Atom would yell out only if the fire dragon infiltrated the buildings front door. Atom did not truly know whether or not his target was home, but if he wasn’t, he was sure that the sudden destruction of his supposed hang out spot would summon him soon enough. The imagery of the building bursting into flames would provide Atom a thrill that would soon die if Yaju did not show for Atom longed for a proper opponent.

An eerie silence swept over the dojo as he remained sitting in his position, his Byakugan clearly picking up the only signature walking toward the dojo in the heat of the night. He didn't bother with it for a moment but then something hit him that caused him to smirk. With his hands still together he weaved a set of three seals followed by the clone seal, creating a singular clone to his right just as the man began to finish his sentence," Deal with the rabble would you?," the clone of course would reach down to pick up the sword and begin to head outward toward the door before creation of the clones. Once the second Yaju arrived at the door he would be met with a fireball hurdling toward the building itself to which it would smirk and hold out one of its palms. As his body began to spin, a concentration of chakra would begin to expel from his body and in turn solidify into a sphere that would continue to move as he did. When the Fire Dragon would be met with an imposing force that would crumble it and instantly disperse it. As the dragon dispersed, second yaju would stop spinning looking direction at the assailant," So you come to my home in the dead of night trying to what...settle a score for someone of my past? How silly are you?," the clone didn't waste any time trying to understand why. The original merely sat and observed with his Byakugan until a time where he truly needed to step in.

The sudden dispersal of Clone A’s Fire Dragon brought joy to Atom and he could feel the urge to fight beginning to swell within his heart. For the first time in a long time, Atom’s opponent was living up to their reputation and he could sense that a grand fight was about to occur.
 
“You should know that we do not ask questions in my line of work, but not every day do I get to battle someone with a reputation such as yours! I told you, I am no more of a monster than you and I have no interest in coming here during the day and killing the children you teach. My only desire is to test my skills against and to bring death to those who are worthy- and you are worthy. Now prepare yourself!”
 
The real Atom's sharingan would begin to glow and he would decide that now would be a good time to get involved, and in doing so, would begin to produce hand seals as he was finished conversing for now and planned to completely level the home that his opponent had tried to run away to. (Horse, Hox, Ram, Hare, Snake, Dragon, Horse, Hox, Ram, Hare, Snake) Upon finishing the last hand seal, Atom would push off the ground with both feet and take flight upwards until he reached 50M in height. As he traveled towards his goal of 50M, he would perform additional hand seals. ( Horse, Tiger, Dragon, Hare, Monkey,  Bird, Horse, Ram, Boar)
 
As Atom pushed off the ground, the two clones would react and begin moving backwards, away from the dojo, as a response to the originals actions until they were 55M away. Now that everyone was in position, Atom, who was floating 50M in the air, and 30M from the Dojo, he would exhale a thin stream of fire like the jutsu that Clone A had previously produced, and a ball of fire would formulate and begin traveling at a diagonal trajectory towards the center of the dojo. Upon formation of the fire ball, Atom would produce 3 more hand seals and then clap his hands. (Snake - Tiger – Ram) enhancing the blaze ball to ensure that maximum damage would occur.
 
The clones would look onward for signs of movement of an escaping target as the 10M diameter fireball would collide into the building and upon collision, Atom would create a final hand sign of confrontation, triggering a 50M diameter explosion that would expand outward, incinerating the building and anything else that it came in contact with. A bright light would follow the explosion and Atom would begin to fly backwards after triggering the explosion, until he reached a distance of 55M away and 50M high to ensure that he would not be consumed in the blast and so that he could observe the aftermath.

The detonation had successfully reached its maximum range and had completely consuming the Dojo along with any inhabitants inside which happened to include Yaju and his shadow clone. Whatever was left of the buildings structure, which was not much due to the immense heat of the explosion, would now fall to the ground as black burning debris, fizzling out as the flames consumed the remaining matter until there was nothing left to sustain the fire. Now that the explosion had ceased, Atom would take the same trajectory back towards the dojo as the blazeball he had released, still maintaining his flight. His sharingan would reach its most mature state as it scanned the aftermath for any signs of life, until finally locking onto a burning body that would happen to be what was left of Yaju.
 
Now 40M diagonally away from Yaju, Atom would sigh, feeling a sense of disappointment that his opponent had failed to produce some sort of technique to dispel his attack, although he could not blame him for his inability to do so. “Yaju Hayate! I will now grant you the rest that you deserve. Allow my black flames to consume what is left of you and release your soul to the heavens! May God take mercy upon your soul.” With that said, Yaju’s right eyelid would widen to it’s fullest extent, resulting in a black mass of fire to spawn just 1M above the ground and just beyond 5M from where Yaju’s current position was. Upon it’s initial spawn, Atom would produce 3 more hand seals just as he did before, followed by a clapping of both his hands. (Horse - Tiger - Snake - Clap Hands (A-rank) The enhanced black flames crept along the ground and incinerated the air, spread with a ‘cracking’ sound, eventually achieving a radius of 25M and scorching whatever was left of the surrounding area until there was nothing left.

The clone watched as the man began to float in the air and in his mind he knew this could be the apex of the fight. A smile crept upon the original and clones face as they prepared themselves for what could be their final hour. The clone's body would begin to crackle with lightning as the sword was thrown to the side, landing in the side of a building 30 meters away. The representation of the last Kage of his era to live, the embodiment of his foster father...his master...and his friends. As the clone prepared to resist the final attack, Yaju stood as a silver fire erupted over his body. Fox like features took over his form as he accepted the fate and chuckled," This shall be my final stand i see...," As the attacks came at the dojo the clone would prepare a jutsu to stop the flame from hitting altogether, but the attack it was going to would be shattered by the attack and the clone knew at that point...maybe this would be it. A smile appeared on its face as it crumbled under the weight of the flames and soon disappeared from existence. Meanwhile while in the Dojo as the flames licked and consumed all in its way, Yaju had managed to survive all but barely as his body succumbed to the flames but not enough to die. He could feel every bit of his skin peeling and burning but he would not utter a single note of pain or agony. Many times he had skirted around death and now finally he would know peace. Looking up at the male he could only help but smile as he began to form the words before the black flames consumed him," Into this world I was born by fire....and unto death I shall be consumed by it," his eyes would close as the black flames of Amaterasu enveloped his body and with a final breath he could only think of the legacy he left behind.

He never got to see his son and apologize for his actions, but in the last moments he smiled and looked as the visage of several forms held a hand out to the old wolf," Its finally...time for me to rest," his body would drop to the ground and crumble under the pressure of the flames, nothing being left behind to identify him but he knew in his mind he was finally happy. Within the light he could see the faces of his family. Kurokon. Misaki. Kurisu. Kumori. Yuriko. All had finally welcomed him and as he looked back one final time the last words as his soul ascended to the next life were simple," All things must end eventually...and my story is done."

[Claiming the Death of Yaju Hayate]

Atom remained suspended in air for a few moments following the completion of his final assault. He waited until the eternal black flames consumed anything that remained, leaving not a single trace of the dojo or his target. “Another legend laid to rest.” Atom would mutter under his breath, feeling slightly dissatisfied with how quickly the fight ended, but still there was a sense of respect in the air for the person that he had help to cross over to other side, finally granting them eternal life. The two shadow clones nearby would now disperse in a cloud of smoke and Atom would take a final look at the aftermath of the battle. Atom decided to leave his eternal flames in place of where the Dojo once stood to signify Yaju’s final battle and after a few moments, he would fly off in the opposite direction to find his next opponent, hoping that he too would one day taste defeat.
