The wolf would note the other doctor Anastasia spoke of, wondering if the man was as impressive as Doctor Terumi had been. Perhaps they both held expertise in different fields, though Loghain couldn’t actually say what the Terumi’s focus was, so it was possible that this fellow by the name of Masashi Uzumaki-Akari was the true expert. Typhon would simply inform them that while he knew that he had been sick, it wasn’t detrimental to him beyond possibly minor annoyance.
The foreman would explain that they simply had to dig up what they could in a shift of four hours. A simple enough task, which didn’t create a great deal of pressure on them. The reply from his companions would come in, one by one. Vaenar would speak up first, making his intentions crystal clear. “It would seem as though we both see eye to eye on that matter.” The wolf would reply to the knight, grabbing and lifting a pickaxe with one hand and heaving it up to his shoulder in a swift, fluid motion. The others grabbed their picks as well, each one of them in agreement to simply all focus on each step of the process as they got to it. It didn’t make much difference to the young wolf how the work was to be done, especially since they didn’t have any sort of hard quota to meet.
Breaking the ore from the veins wasn’t as difficult a job as he might have expected, and hauling the raw metals to their respective minecarts was a simple matter as well. During his trips to the cart to unload his rocks, he would look around to see how the others were faring. They were doing well, and he would let a look of relief wash over him. The wolf would glance over at Vaenar as well, not with anger or disdain, but with curiosity instead.
Once their carts were full, Loghain would wait and make sure everyone was ready to move on before taking any further action. When Typhon spoke up, Loghain would reply, "Agreed. This job went very smoothly. We can thank the professionals for ensuring that everything was done well and ready for us. Would have been far worse if the shaft collapsed." Once everyone was on the same page he would grab one of the carts, the one with iron ore in it and begin to push it along the track. It might have been heavy, but it rolled with relative ease. This would allow both Lady Anastasia and Typhon to work together to move the other one while Vaenar kept a vigilant eye on everything. The wolf wasn’t entirely sure how physically capable the pair were, so he would make sure not to allow much - if any - distance between them to form.
Once they got to the furnaces, the process of refining the raw ore would begin. Loghain made sure to only handle the iron, which a keen eye from the other two might pick up on. He wasn’t sure how long it would take to melt down and remove the impurities, but he wasn’t against the idea of conversation should one of the others initiate it.

As the group worked hard to finalize this mining mission, Vaenar got lost in thought but ready to react if anything appeared to be amiss. He had his demons. Treason was only a word. When two good men fight for a chair that only one man may sit. Great shinobi and commoners alike must choose. The victors are hailed as loyal men, while the defeated will be forever known as rebels and traitors.
Alexander Hoshimura was a great king who was victorious in ninety-nine of his one hundred battles. When seven shinobi villages banded against Alexandros, he lost his final battle and died in the fighting. The clan elders knew that those who thought themselves to be the originating Hoshimura had become extinct from the male line. A Konoha shinobi had married the last female Hoshimura. His sons took all the hallmark features of the clan and were passed down to his cousin young Morio, the last of that line, albeit reversed. With his bloodline dwindling, he might have to anoint others into it. And ceremonially confer the holy office of Re-quip upon them.
“Was your father as big and strong as you are, Sebastian? What about your mother? What do you remember of her?”
Vaenar said as they walked out into the light. He figured everyone here was a good shinobi, from what he saw of them so far. So loyal that Vaenar decided he liked Anastasia Akari, Sebastian Loghain, and Typhon. And Vaenar had come to see them as potential comrades down the line. Delivering loyalty when everyone expected treason gave the swordsman a feeling of satisfaction that nobody could put in words. Perhaps circumstances of one’s birth are irrelevant, and it is up to how much we spend with those around us that matters more.
“Well, you should drop by to Hoshimura Castle sometime." He said to Sebastian and then extended the invitation to everyone else. "All of you should. It may lack for riches these days, but not of courtesy.”
He would say and then escort everyone back in the village.

Apparently the malady that Typhon suffered from wasn’t something that affected his day to day mobility. That’s strange for sure, it wasn’t something that the Akari Genin had ever encountered before, but of course, she wasn’t a doctor. Perhaps she’d mention it to Masashi, he may be interested in learning more, that seemed like something he would want to look into.
Typhon answered her other question with a negative, not knowing Takeda. He asked her if he was a doctor as well and she shook her head. “Yes, but that's not why I brought him up,” she said to him. “He may be someone that’s afflicted with the same condition as you though. I met him the other day and he wore a similar mask and had similar complexion to you.” Of course, it could be pure coincidence that they both wore masks, and their individual reasons could be entirely different. That being said, Anastasia often believed that the simplest explanation was often the correct one.
With the ore mined out, they brought the results to their hard work to the processing facility where the bars were smelted into ingots and stored. Anastasia paid close attention to the process; the entire thing was of great interest to her and she had always wondered what it would be like to become a blacksmith herself one day. The molten liquids bubbled and hissed as they were poured into waiting moulds and then submerged into water to begin the cooling process. The iron ore was first processed with carbon in order to turn it into steel, then it too was poured into moulds and placed in a water bath to help cool it down. The room quickly filled with steam as a result, it was quite a sight to behold. The Akari Genin was thankful to have been a part of it. She’d noticed that Sebastian had only been working on one of the two ores, the iron ore. It was a tad odd, but it wasn’t something that was worth inquiring about. There were three of them and more than enough bodies to handle the entire process.
The ingots they were assigned to take with them had already been loaded onto carts drawn by horses. The mine foreman was there to see them off and thank them for their assistance. Anastasia would nod and climb aboard one of the carts. As the rest of the squad did the same, Vaenar offered the hospitality of his home, Hoshimura Castle. In all honesty Anastasia was a little surprised that the offer was extended to her, because of her family and how they clashed with his. Still, if this was his way of offering a potential olive branch, if only to her, she would accept it. “Thank you for the offer Vaenar,” she would say to their bodyguard. “It would be my pleasure to accept.” Of course they would determine at a later date when this would actually take place. For now, the most important thing was to get their cargo back to the village safely. The trip back had no issues and they were able to deliver the silver and iron ingots to the blacksmith’s quarter with no issues.
“This was a well executed mission,” The Akari Genin would say to her allies as they got ready to head their separate ways. “Thank you, and I hope to see you all again soon.” With that, Anastasia Akari would leave the group and make her way back to her home in the interest of preparing for whatever else would be happening in the coming days.

Anastasia elaborated that this Takeda fellow was indeed a doctor, but more of note that he wore a mask and had similar complexion. Other Canopics were not a common sight. A doctor even more rare considering the clan's affliction. Most of the Canopic shinobi died in the civil war. This guy sounded like someone that would be interesting to meet.
"Well thank you. I'll look into him. Not often I meet other people like me." Ty would laugh.
The group finished all their work in the mines and were rewarded nicely. Typhon looked at the bars of refined metal that he was given and wondered what he would do with them. Maybe he could find a buyer. It'd be nice to have some extra money these days. Ty's father could have a dip in his health at any moment so a little extra cash stashed away was a good prospect.
The group headed back to the village without an incident. It was refreshing to work a day with almost no danger. All of the other shinobi on the job seemed like decent people and everyone was pretty polite. It made Typhon happy that Hoshi was filled with decent people.
"Well it was nice working with you all. I hope we meet again sometime." He would say once they were back in the village and head home.

Loghain would watch as the metal was processed, allowing the other two to take the lead for this part of their job. They seemed to know what they were doing far better than he did, plus he was fairly reluctant to handle the silver. Anastasia in particular seemed rather enthusiastic about refining the metal, her focus almost astounding and her eyes lit up with life.
Moving the ingots to carts was something he was far more comfortable with, for hauling was something he was accustomed to. Vaenar would speak up, asking the young wolf if his physique took after his father. Most folks didn’t ask him about his family, though the wolf didn’t mind answering. “I imagine that I take after my father. I never met the man, and my mother never spoke of him.” His eyes soften, the thoughts of his mother nearly bringing tears to his eyes. “My mother took care of me by herself, but I don’t really get to see her much now. The priest at the local church assures me that she is being looked after…” His tone suggested that there was doubt in his heart, but he didn’t have much choice in the matter. His exile from the village caused a great deal of things to change, and he truly worried about the woman who raised him and lead him down the path to becoming the man he was now. “The village does give second chances, but things are never really the same after.” The words might have been mistakenly seen as directed at Vaenar for his crimes, but in reality the wolf was talking about his own situation.
When the knight kindly offered a visit to his castle, the wolf would nod. “Such kindness is appreciated. I think I will take you up on the offer.” He would reply, offering a light bow. When presented with his reward for assisting, the wolf would reluctantly accept. “This is far more than needed, but I thank you for your kindness.” The wolf would lift the sack holding the metal ingots onto his back. “Indeed, it was a pleasure to work with you all. I look forward to working with you in the future.”
