Their original plans had been put on hold when a disturbance in the village had beckoned the Hogokage’s attention. As Ayato’s prisoner, Fu was required to join them, although her participation was not requested. Her other option, waiting in the dungeon. Fu choose the former which provided her an opportunity to reunite with her familiar, Archie, the large brown bear native to the forests that surrounded her home of Konohagakure. From within the gates of the village and from a safe distance, Fu eagerly watched, along with Archie and a few others that have amassed, as the Hogokage and their companions assembled at the gate in anticipation of a battle. Fu noticed a man on the other side of where she was sitting, approximately 30 meters away, reading a book. Archie nuzzled Fu’s arm. “I know Archie, I missed you too, but can you stop? Something big is about to happen!”

A lot had happened in such a short time. Only a few weeks back had he left under the tutorage of Mercurio, his father figure and teacher in the arts of Blacksmithing. It wasn’t a surprise to the master smith but he did imagine he would have Morio a bit longer. In a small building of his own picking. A red and black dragon holding a hammer and shield hung above the building as Morio smiled to himself. This was his.. no one else’s but like most days it would be interrupted by the sound of misery and trouble. He had caught mere glimpses and heresay of a disturbance at the gates that called for the Kage themselves to head there himself and it struck him. The man that his “brother” Vaenar spoke of in such high regard would be there and thus would give Morio the chance to see just who this man was.
Grabbing his jacket from the front counter he would throw it on before grabbing his sword and throwing up the close sign. With a shove of the door and close sign he was off toward the gates. He had no intention of taking part in any fight or offering his assistance but by observing those on the field he would understand what this village stood for. His shop wasn’t too far from the gates so he managed to make it to the gates just before any combat, but instead of standing behind the gates he would move toward them and up until he was at the tallest point.
Crossing his arms he would allow his tailcoat and hair to be taken by the winds as he looked outward and activated his Kenseigan. The feeling of this doujutsu was still foreign but the more he used it the greater it felt more.. natural. From his position he could easily see those in front of the gates and outward. He knew one of the figures as Masashi, one who he was still…weary of due their earlier meeting but the other three were enigma’s to him. Looking toward one he would go purely off of what he had heard lookswise about them. That one must have been the Hogokage. He would only blink once as he looked out to see what the big issue was to see a woman and one other standing outside of the village.
Whatever their beef was with the village was not his problem but seeing as someone had been moving outward toward them it seemed as if the fight had begun. What he thought would have been an actual fight so far looked like a few teens bullying a kid to him. This other person hadn’t made a move toward them yet and the fact that this seemed over just as it begun disappointed the young Ametsuchi heir,” I came here expecting an actual fight but instead I’m seeing just another shinobi bullying. Not surprising.” So this is what Varnar stood for when he mentioned being a fighter for this village? It was.. spiteful to be honest but maybe something would happen to change his mind.

So this was how things were going to be here. From a certain perspective it would seem as if someone was protecting their homes and the villagers, but from the perch of the wall it seemed so much different. He knew what a fight looked like, and this was no fight- this was just an execution. From start to finish it was a travesty in his own eyes as he watched the attacks hit the defenseless bodies of both man and woman, effortlessly dropping them to the ground only for the victors to claim the spoils. They had always said the victors always wrote the history in which would be only remembered by those still living, yet this history was filled with a narrative that Morio could not back. Shaking his head his Kenseigan would slowly deactivate as his cerulean blue eyes closed and returned to normal," If I wanted to see an execution i'd go to the butchers.. This wasn't worth the time to come and see if nothing was going to come of it," from behind him however he could hear the cheering of those who thought this was a public service or even right. None the less it was not his concern nor his prerogative to agree with what they thought was right. Opening his eyes he would turn slightly to look back at the scene where two bodies had stood and now had only been marked by stains of blood. In the back of his own head he could only hear that voice again, clearly as if it had grown to a roar," Such a definition of justice doesn't sit right with you does it youngling? You do not understand the reason, but the action is what drives you up the wall. I understand it all too well but there is nothing you can do it about it...for now," the voice that sounded as smooth as fresh sake drizzling from its container into a cup. If he could express it in a simple metaphor it would be the voice of both angel and demon in once.
Shaking his head he looked back into the village and shrugged," No matter your philosophy on the matter voice, this isn't something I will stand beside if it means beating on those who don't defend themselves even if they are in the wrong. Not my village. Not my point of view," with that he simply walked down the walls the same way as he came up and headed back to his shop in silence. The voice had said nothing more after that and ask the young male turned the sign to "OPEN" and sat behind the desk waiting on both forge and customer the only thought ran through his head," What was it all for?"

Fu watched as a few more bystanders gathered in suspense. There was a thick tension in the air as if something bad were going to happen, and commoner and shinobi alike could sense it. Fu sat patiently on an impatient Archie as a boy neared the gate and proceeded to make his way to the top to have a front row seat to the upcoming events.
A small amount of time passed, and the anticipated battle ended in a one-sided manner from what Fu could tell, considering the distance at which she was sitting. Fu sighed as she watched the observers around her begin to disperse. “Sorry, but it looks like I have to go soon.” Fu would say while patting her furry companion on the head.
