Ugh. More fighting. Having grown into the life of a shinobi, Yuuma didn't have the predilection to ignore a conflict that he once had though he still preferred to find alternative methods to solving a conflict. On the other hand, the mind of the young man reached back to the last time Yuuma had encountered the thief, the fateful meeting at the market in Hoshigakure. For just a moment, Yuuma would pause long enough to gently touch a spot on his shoulder, recalling something distant before his vision refocused on the callouts the other had given them. Looking to the clone, Yuuma would flick his chin upward. It was enough for the clone to understand what that meant, and the reflective apparition would drop his rock cane to the ground in response. Immediately, the two would set apart to put an unspoken plan into motion.
Gathering earth chakra about itself, the clone would rise on a platform of earth to a height that allowed it perfect vision over the surrounding area, and of their quarry. A few hand seals later and a bow made of chakra would manifest, bridging the two hands together as the clone took on a readied stance atop its makeshift earthen watchtower. From this vantage point, the clone could see spout after spout of fire and electricity burst from the alleyways around the village, each of them slowly herding the culprit to the left. The same direction the original Yuuma had been heading. Speed was not his forte, a mantra that Yuuma would remind himself of as he huffed and puffed making his way down a side alley, struggling to stay ahead of the plan. Wiping a light sweat from his brow, Yuuma would find exactly what he was looking for; a long, clear alley that didn't seem to have anything obstructing it.
His hands would quickly weave some seals independently as he began to focus. "Alright. We have trained, we have spoken to the earth. Let's put it to use," Yuuma reasoned with himself quietly. Truthfully, he hadn't had much of a chance to test himself at his fullest yet, but now was not the time to do things like summoning a massive diamond golem. Not only would that likely cause more panic and destruction than help, but it's just a petty thief- likely another misguided soul. No, this would take more finesse. With the seals woven, he'd shove a hand forward and a rush of the earth would surge around him. For sixty meters down the lane, the earth would slither and swirl as though it had a current. The restless tide of treated land churned in place, threatening to sweep anyone off their feet who came into their alley.
Just as planned.
The Grinch dove from a back alley, narrowly avoiding another column of fire and burst of electricity before they landed, swept and rolled along their side as the river of rock and mud swept them along, preventing them from catching their footing and sweeping them fast enough to deny their hold on anything, including the star that belonged on top of the tree by sending it spiraling away when the thief collided with the side of a building they were soon swept down. As the river of mud carried them forward, the thief would quickly find themselves swept into a dead-end alley, the mouth the which soon became a network of stone pilled as they just from the ground at all angles, making a rather impassible seal on the alleyway while the river continued to tumble the thief against a building at the end of its range.
With another small sigh, Yuuma would venture forward and pluck the star from the ground, rubbing it off the dirt that had gotten on it and beginning to slowly make his way back to the party, allowing the gung-ho ninja from Kumogakure to have the ultimate say in what happened to the thief now that they had the star back. Yuuma wasn't keen on dispensing justice now that the job was done, his mind drifting back to another cool glass of milk he knew was waiting for him at the party.

There wasn't much to be done now, but lie in wait. Wrapped tightly close to the wall on the side of the alleyway to block line of sight to himself. With an immense load of trust being placed upon his team within the moment, even though he just met the two, Hiroki wasn't really worried about not being able to trap the thief. All cornerstones were essentially covered after all. If the thief didn't manage to be lead here, there would be some form of signal that would be made to alert him. As of right now, there was none, so so far, so good. Then there was if the trap just didn't get set off, the Kumogakuren lightning user was right there, katana at the ready in the off chance it wasn't set up properly. There was also the chance that none of that could happen, and it could just work. Which was the option that the teen was primarily riding on at this point.
The sounds of shouts and running could now be made out from the soothing silence and calmness of the wintery weather. They were at least drawing near. Getting as low to the ground as possible, Hiroki just inched his eyes outwards around the corner where he was hiding. Lo and behold, there was the grinch heading straight towards the trap, walls of earth and flames blocking previous escape routes. Quickly moving his head back, the deviant got at the ready. The sound of wire being tugged at rang out, and some more wire wrapped tightly around the person running; successfully entrapping them within the fine metal strings. Just as this happened, a question of whether or not the man had a sword was posed. Conveniently enough, a cane slid out right while he had taken the tumble downwards. Proving Asahi's theory right. Clearly this particular team member was quite observant. A careful consideration was made of this, and tucked away for later use.
Meanwhile, Hiroki had emerged from his hiding spot, Yuuma could be seen grabbing the five pointed piece of decoration used to top the tree. At the other end of the alley was his comrade, quietly and patiently waiting to see the results of this. It looked like the Christmas crasher who tried to be Dasher was left within the ninja of the Hidden Cloud's hands. Which...was a choice considering that, well, some people would say Kumogakuren's had a rather stern way of approaching these types of situations.
While he wanted this reputation to preceed him, there was also his own mantra in which he would live by. No physical harm was caused to them, or any of the villagers, so a fate such as a beating even, wouldn't be made by Roki. But, katana still in hand, the teen would enthusiastically walk over the prone star stealer. The blade's steel would extend outward until it nearly touched the cheek of the captured man. Speaking up, the genin said with a wicked smile "I'm not gonna hurt ya. No, no, no. But. If I ever, even lay my eye on you with mere intent to repeat this mistake again. There was a long, drawn out pause while Hiroki squatted so his face was closer now, his voice more hushed. "Well, let's just say, it wouldn't be very pretty. Now as for what actually happens to you. That's up to Yoi to decide." The lad would say to conclude his attempted intimidation tactic.
Keeping the man wrapped up in the wire, he picked the guy up and over his shoulder. While it might not have seemed like it, the Shimadan could still carry some weight, and this wasn't too hard to lift. Attention now being placed upon the guy's he just met what seemed like only a few minutes ago, the black and white hair gently flowed around as he nodded his head towards the two of them; offering a "Gentleman, this was fun. Until we meet again sometime. I can take it from here." After speaking this aloud, the shinobi would be off the deliver this man back to their employer for him to decide on what to do.
