Glitter and Gold: Act I (P)

Hoshigakure – a strange place from all the other’s the young Satow had visited in her time; it was unique, beautiful and sometimes mysterious… Especially during the night. Miki found herself stirring in her bed as the moonlight crept through her windows; she had found herself a room in a local inn within the village – close by the nightlife activities. She wanted to gauge around the village as to the types of things that excited the people here the most, before she began her long and tiring process of creating and building her brothel.

The young girl was starting over, her new life in a new village would be something that she was terribly excited for, but also terrified of. She didn’t know if she would be accepted, or even welcomed, but she was allowed entry via the village gates; and for the most part – it was a start. She had heard tell of the villages Kage being… Rather rough in his beliefs. The rules of the village were something she studied carefully as she wanted to ensure nothing, she did would incite issue with it’s shinobi. Although Miki was considered a ‘genin’ level kunoichi; she hadn’t quite considered living on the outskirts of the large village – would make her a kunoichi of Hoshigakure.

Miki laid for several moments in the bed, her emerald eyes staring out the window at the lights beginning to light up along the streets; allowing for the moon light, and some streetlights to shine through the window and bathe her body in an almost iridescence glow. She would finally rise out of the bed, her long raven hair draping around her petite body as she moved along the small room to the even smaller closet, bustling with clothing as she opened the door, fabrics falling to the ground as she shifted around them. She was planning on hitting several nightclubs that night, but one struck her interest the most as she walked around that morning; something called ‘Kings Club’, or something along the lines of that – after further inspection and research; she came to learn that the club in question was a ‘medieval nightclub’.

This club required its patrons to ‘dress up’; which Miki completely feel in love with the idea, between her wardrobe and the several thousand Ryo she had left over; she got herself quite the outfit. She figured that most of the women would be dressing as ‘Princess’ or ‘Queens’, with light clothing and not be rather reviling or to tight fitted. Miki however wanted to stay true to herself, she gathered up the midnight black fabric and pulled it out of the closet. “Perfect.” She whispered to herself as she moved along the room, grabbing several other articles of clothing, and jewelry to go along with it.

After several hours of pulling, tearing and sewing; she was finally prepared; the moon now in the sky as she turned to look at the clock, just a few tics off from midnight. A small smirk creeped along the woman’s face, fashionably late, as she liked to with events like this.

Miki pulled the slim fitting black silk along her skin as she dressed and adorned herself with the gold, glitter, and emerald jewels. “Not a Princess…” She starred into the mirror as she inspected herself, the black silk tight against her skin, curving in all the right places, her collarbone uncovered, save for a few thin lines of metal jewelry; adorned with gold and emerald pieces, connecting to the fabric. The dress was long, but hugged right, low cut in the front, exposing much of her assets, but still modest in its own way.

She had pulled her hair up around her face, using jewelry to do so, leaving most of her curls down in the back, covering the completely bare skin with it; as her hair reached down to her waist and slightly passed where the fabric would begin to cover her backside, around her hips.

With a small smirk, she would place on the dragon like scaled shoulder pieces made of gold-plated soft metal, attaching them to her dress; and with this; her look was complete. Although she still wasn’t sure what to call this attire, or what her ‘role’ was… She was ready for the nightclub. With a deep breath, she would head out of the hotel, and move along the bustling streets of Hoshigakure’s city square. Her quick footwork throughout the crowds of people gathered throughout the square was admirable at best.

“What a perfect place to bring my business…” She would ponder to herself as she finally arrived to the nightclub she was attending; the lights were dim, as she figured they might be – a medieval themed nightclub was something she had hoped would be as historically accurate as possible. Miki’s eyes would scan the floor as she entered the building, the bright emerald green shade could very well be one of the first things any person would see as she felt as if her eyes were more breathtaking than any other piece of her body. She would take note of several people if mangey costumes, either people trying far to hard, or not nearly hard enough.

Several groups stuck together, she figured friend groups coming to a place for the first time… Several people located near the dance floor; most were sitting around tables holding wooden mugs full of what smelled like ale as she passed by. Her first mission of business would be to locate the ‘barkeep’ as she intended to get a drink for herself, in hopefully a smaller glass than what she had seen so far.

To be historically accurate; during medieval – someone of prominence would drink often from metal or ceramic and sometimes even glass goblets; and that was what she was after, a goblet of red wine; not the ale most party goers were drinking.

Within a short period time, Miki would find herself at the forefront of the club; and in front of the ‘barkeep’ as she made her order for the wine, the man before her would smirk. “Ain’t often people realize we sell more than just ale.” He chuckled, before grabbing a dainty goblet for the woman, pouring the deep red into the goblet as she smiled, dropping the ryo on the counter as she turned to look back at the floor, raising the glass to just under her nose as she took a deep breath in, the aroma of the wine was sweet, the flowers and herbs blended into the wine seemed to be a perfect mixture for her.

She would slowly move the wine around the goblet before taking a small tasting sip; the rich and flavorful taste touching her tongue as she smirked behind her glass. It was rather delicious; powerful flavor indeed.
