Ties That Bind [Private]
Sat Jun 18, 2022 6:38 pm
When mornings came, he no longer woke up to his cold sweats.
Half of it might be the fact that he seldom wakes up hungover now, having dropped back on the amount of sake he imbibed through the day to keep himself going. Life has taken a turn for the best, and he feels elated, so much so that the days breeze through and the nights are memorable. Whereas he would usually wake up to the scent of breakfast and coffee wrestling through the stench of sake and cigars, he now wakes up to breakfast and coffee dancing with the scent of a lover, a warm memento on the empty side of the bed he lays upon.
The other half was an untold resolve found within himself, a sense of purpose he knew he strived for but hadn’t been able to define eloquently, either in words or actions, and that now drove him forward with invigorating clarity. He understood concepts he would’ve died for by instinct alone, and yet they now translated into something he finally identified with.
He wasn’t used to being in such high spirits. But he could certainly get used to it.
When he left the room, fresh off the shower and wrapped in a towel, he visited the kitchen to find Aura already close to finishing breakfast, and he approached her calmly, touching her hips and leaning in for a kiss on the neck, before giving her a quick hug and a “good morning”, before walking off, his hands drifting back against her and getting ready.
He would return, clad in his usual armor, even though he had the day off. “It smells delicious, honey”, he started, looking at the meal and the steaming coffee. “So, what’s the plan for today?” She had explained to him before her wish to visit the Thunderpeak Campus, however, he wanted her to go through the plan again.
Any excuse to listen to her voice.

Life has mysterious ways of either taking away everything you could ever care about, and handing it to you on a silver platter all in the same stretch of time. In the case of Aura Yukimenoko, both outcomes led to positive memories, and made it to where she could meet all the wonderful men and women she knows within Kumogakure to this day. Now the light her heart shines upon the world was manifested in the will of her new boyfriend, turned from the savior of her own world, Noboru. A first step to personal satisfaction, but a striding movement nonetheless. Helps that being a practical princess hasn't soured her dedication to hard work and study, nor her ability to create the perfect stack of pancakes. Since, that's what she's making now alongside a double brew coffee, black as midnight, though she'd never know its true color. That being said, if she could know, she bets that was the right call. Boldness didn't come in many shades after all, from her own recollection.
Dressed in her usual attire of black robes, paired with her silver jeweled crown to fare against today, she could hear the sounds of footsteps approaching her from behind, smell the familiar scent of a man she knows and loves, and of course, feel his heat signature. So it's no surprise to find his arms wrapped around her waist, and a smooch placed against her collar, but she gasps just to add to the dramatic effect, a smile widening on her porcelain features. "Morning, sleepy head." Ah, she did always used to get up later than the Raikage, but now that she had the will to do the opposite, that has her cooking up the best type of breakfast storm. She figures it won't take long for him to finish dressing up, so it creates the perfect amount of time to set their table up, with a gigantic stack of pancakes slathered in butter and syrup, two bowls of flawlessly made rice, and a five stack of fried eggs. Usually, when she had the chance, this amount of food would sometimes be made for Noboru alone, but now that she can work alongside the other shinobi in the village, she has developed a ravenous appetite to make sure she can keep her calories up while constantly losing them.
Heavy steps of a man clad in armor appear in her sound radius once more, and she tilts her head in their direction, happily accepting his compliment, and giggling at his request for an explanation for today's events. There's definitely a reason why he's asking again, since he has a decent memory, but she won't put it past him to hear it again. With how big all of this is for her, he'd be a trickster to not and then forget in the middle of it. "Why, thank you, dear. We'll need all the energy we can get for what we're about to do! Speaking of which..." Not skipping a beat, she picks up one of her eggs with a pair of intricately carved wooden chopsticks, and stuffs the entire thing into her mouth, tearing it to pieces without any hesitation. "Mmm, salty, peppery goodness... anyway," she continues with her train of thought, a grin matching that of the greatest of thieves on her face. "You said you wanted to train me in a nature transformation, and I wanted to take you to the library to see if we can find any books on my clan. Since I have access to the rest of the archives - except the super high tier ranked stuff, of course - you should be able to help me find it. I doubt it's printed in braille, so you'll have to read it to me."
Another large gulp of rice this time, she swallows down a glass of milk she deals from the carton left on the table, then wipes her mouth with a napkin, having gotten a little on her top lip. "We can probably do both at the same time, to be honest... I'm a great multitasker. Though, if you'd rather focus on training me first, then I won't mind. As long as we do both, it'll be alright, love." Eating the rest of her food in the span of the next fifteen or so minutes, while responding to whatever else her dearest has to add on with, when they're both done, she quickly finishes the dishes as though they were barely a problem, and grasps her forehead protector from the table, proudly brandishing it on her hip. It practically became a part of any of her outfits, even if they didn't match up correctly. Being a Cloud kunoichi really was the best way to put a smile on her face, were it not involving that of who she holds close. Nodding to herself, she grabs her lover by the hand, and firmly exclaims, "Time to go. We need the entire day open for us, or we won't even get close to all the answers we both need. You can even carry me there, if that'll be faster~" More teasing, but she didn't hide the fact she knows how to vigorously push his buttons. Seems becoming a Genin didn't change that part of her at all...

The delicate snowflake gasped when his arms surrounded her, even though he knew well enough she could’ve heard him come in even if he tried his best not to be heard. The kiss was well earned.
By the time he walked back into the kitchen in his regular attire, the table was set, and the bounty she had prepared for them smelled amazing, and looked just as good. He grabbed the mug of coffee, listening to the blind glint of his eyes just before she mouthed a whole egg into that pretty mouth and chewed on it with gusto. He smirked and drank a gulp of the black goodness, but followed suit, chopsticks in hand, and picking a couple eggs to break them into his rice, the yolk running among the rice before starting to wolf down pieces onto his mouth, his jaw working the meal nicely, the flavors dancing through his tongue.
She brings up their training session; his idea, for a couple of reasons. One is to test the theory that she is indeed Yuki; if she took to his good friend Zento, she may need to learn Wind Release. She did take the prankster part already, might as well go all the way. The second was to “inspect troops”, as it were. It was no news that Noboru would walk regularly into the training facilities of the village to test the mettle of his troops, and Aura would have no special treatment in this regard. Helping her find more about her clan would be the least he could do. “I spend my days reading, it’ll be nice to switch it up and read it to you.”
Pancakes followed the path of the empty bowl of rice, emptied in a frenzied morning appetite. His musculature wasn’t kept on sake alone, after all. The pancakes were at the perfect consistency, just enough of the syrup had permeated the cake without making them soggy, and the redhead would split parts off of entire stacks to lead them into his mouth, where he would mix the top syrupy pancakes with the soft sweet bottom pancakes, another symphony of taste. As she wiped away the cutest milkstache, she spoke of their plan, to which he nodded with a mouthful of cake and hummed in affirmation, before swallowing and coughing. “We’ll train, then we’ll have lunch over there, then we can read during the afternoon.” They ate, chit chatting about this and that, some domestic talk as couple would talk, and through most of it, Noboru finished his coffee, the food devoured already, the chef complimented. He had always been a fast eater, always having something else to cram into his schedule, and even tasty food would escape this mechanism, it only made it worse.
Getting ready to leave with his love, he dons the white cloak of the Raikage, as well as the pyramidical golden hat, before Aura takes his hand and suggests he carries her there to make the trip faster. A jest, to be sure, but it gave him pause. “Fine”, he starts, guiding her hand over his neck as he lowers himself to pick her up again as a bride, hand under the knees to sweep her off her feet and onto his arms. “Hold on tight.”
He bent his knees, and jumped into the sky, a few meters just to gain leverage and sight on a tall electric pole, the force enough to give them some wind resistance. On the tall pole, as he sighted their course through the peaks, he could already feel the effects of the height on his body, and surely so would Aura. “Do you trust me?” Once she answered, he would bend his knees again, and propel himself once again through the skies, his body energized by the mastery of the Drunken Fist. Leaping and bounding through the peaks, the wind would blow in their faces and ears, and he made sure to keep Aura tucked against his body, landing always with the grace of a master of his own body, dispelling the energy so it wouldn’t affect her. It was a glorious sight to him, something he had actually never done in his life, and yet she dared him to live, dared him to take her on adventures. He wished he could share these sights with her, the shining sun, the shimmering reflection from the many windows below their flying feet, the splendor of the village that hid betwixt the clouds. She would still be able to feel the heat of the star, and the bite of the wind so far high.
It wasn’t long before Noboru landed at the foot of the peak that led to the Thunderpeak Campus, built under his command and oversight. And what a sight it was. He let Aura down gently, careful to make sure she could keep her footing after the adrenaline rush of the trip up the peaks. He tried to comb her hair down some, before pinching her chin softly, and pecking her lips. He took her by the hand, guiding her in soft steps to the training facility within the Thunderpeaks.
Between greetings from the many people who recognized the only person in the village to wear a golden pyramidical hat, he would guide them to a domed arena, meant to withstand rigorous training. He had booked the place for the two of them, so they could have their privacy away from prying eyes or gawkers, or just others who might get in the way of the training. He led the gorgeous platinum haired beauty to the middle of the arena, and took two pieces of paper from his pouch. “Right, so. These that I have in my hand are elemental papers. Here, feel them.” He brought her hands up, and let the two porous papers into the palm of her hand, letting her feel them. “The trick of these is to flow chakra into them, and in doing so, the paper will react to the chakra in a certain way, and it will reveal your primary chakra nature. For instance, it I take one…” He would pick one of the papers, and focusing on it for a moment, the paper crumbled into dust, cascading onto her hands. “...it will crumble into dust, because my primary nature is Earth. Go on, give it a try on the other.”

Throughout their quaint little conversation, all Aura really had to appreciate was hearing the sounds of her mountain of a man thoroughly enjoying the meal she made for them both. It also helped that he mentioned that reading to her would be a nice change of pace, making her heart skip a beat almost immediately. Truthfully, even when she was in the Academy, no one ever actually read to her. Most of the materials she had access to were braille due to their common publishing, thus making the idea of helping her moot. At the time, she clearly didn't mind it, as it helped her retain a modicum of independence while she was fighting to free herself from the chains of her predicament. Now, with the prospect of having romance in her life? She'd take every opportunity to get pampered by Noboru, so long as it wasn't about anything important, like training, or getting slipped the secrets of their village. Those were strictly out of the question in her mind, as even she had some integrity in regards to keeping their relationship actually fair and square. From what she knows, that's how all positive bonds should be, and she wasn't going to try and shake up the structure of a long known fact that using the people you love is really, really scummy.
When it comes to her lover's response towards the consideration of carrying her there, she wasn't expecting him to follow through with her silly little request. That's enough to force her into swooning, and she lets out a pleased sigh of content, pressing her cheek against the man's pec, and making sure her arms were wound tightly around his chiseled frame, her feet dangling off the sides of his arm. Being carried like this was just the best, and there's no way she'd trade it for anything else, except maybe a piggyback ride. That's besides the point; being protected and cradled in the Raikage's arms was more than enough to keep her happy for the rest of the day, but they have a library to crash the party of. With the opening of their front door, and a final temporary 'goodbye' to the ground beneath them, she squeals with excitement the moment her personal transportation launches himself into the air, landing squarely on the top of a nearby electrical pole.
Naturally, with how high up from the ground they are now in comparison to normal, she felt her head beginning to get a little dizzy. Without any control of where she's going for the time being, it's much more difficult for her to tell where she is, and where they're going, so already she had put her trust into the behemoth to bring them there safely. Yet, it's so much more adorable to her that he proceeds to ask if she trusts him. Out of amusement, but also endearment, she can't help but giggle right up into his ear, only tilting her pink, flushing face up to quickly reply with, "What a silly question... yes, I trust you, you dork~" Then, without another word and simply silent acceptance in its stead, she clings into him once more as he takes off, traversing their home in the swiftest of paces possible, considering how well he'd know the layout. Without the village's sights, all she can attach to is the cold wind nipping at their skins, and the resolute warmth of the sun hanging proudly in the sky. That's enough for her, so it's all fine and dandy. There's no way it takes long at all for him to get them safe and sound to Thunderpeak Campus, and she's grateful to have her feet on the ground again when they do get there. Exchanging kisses and gentle touches with his lordship, she gets led into the building, eager to get started with their fun outing.
Aura stays silent as they weave their way through a multitude of other patrons within the library, seeing as she had no clue who most of them were, and they merely wanted to greet the Raikage anyway. It's only when they make it to their privately claimed dome that she speaks up again, though it's in response to what Noboru himself has to say, listening to him intently before dealing out any words herself. Apparently, he had pieces of paper for her to feel? Grasping at them, she tilts her head at the fact they felt no different from regular pieces of dead tree, but when he begins to explain the process, she nods her head in understanding. Now that she recalls, she was given one of these at the start of her studies in the academy. Shuddering quietly as his explanation is put to the test through dust landing in her hands, she brushes it off and grasps at her own serving of chakra paper, taking very little time to course her life energy through it. When she's done, the once dry, rigid square in her hand becomes damp and useless, limping into her fingers and leaving a very unsavory feeling to behold. Her tongue sticks out slightly, letting out a "Bleh," before throwing it to the ground in disgust. "Okay, that's done... so, mine is Water. You probably knew that already, though. What next?"

The excited cry, the giggling, her touch; Noboru felt energized, as if he was able to draw the power of the mountain itself. He had no idea how touch deprived he had been up until this point, how lacking in intimacy he had been, and he would do his best to express his gratitude to this woman, who managed to pull him from the brink of his fall. Even after they landed, the cute kiss she gave him did wonders for the beast.
Watching her pour her chakra into the paper to make it into an unpleasant soggy mess, he couldn’t help but grin at her expression of dissatisfaction, commenting on how Noboru probably already knew that her primary nature was water. “You accuse me of taking unnecessary action here?” He grabbed her hands in his, bringing up the white cloth of the cloak to dry them softly. “Now, as a Yuki, you will be able to learn the fabled Ice Release. One way to trigger this, is to know both Water Release, which is your natural element, and Wind Release, which I can teach you.”
He held her hands in his palms, his calloused thumbs brushing the skin of her soft palms. “I think the main element one is born with says a lot about the person. If you consider me, born with the Earth Element, you can probably agree with that at face value. I think the same could be said for you. With Water as your natural element, you are resilient, you go with the flow, you adapt and overcome.” He gave her hands a gentle squeeze. “You even carve through mountains”, he added with a smile. “Wind naturals, though, are rare. To be honest, I haven’t met many at all in all my years. They are great company though, they are aloof, but can become serious when the occasion calls for it.” Nostalgia flooded him for a second, the memory of an old friend. “Though being born with it is rare, it isn’t impossible to learn this nature. So. I will teach you to the best of my ability.”
He blew lightly on her hands and wrists. “For a Water natural, flow will be easy. However, Wind won’t crash. Instead, you must focus on molding your chakra thinnely. A constant flow, thinning and thinning, sharpening until it cuts through anything it meets.” He would exemplify, but the notion of cutting her by accident didn’t sit well with him. “Go on. Give it a go.”

She barely has any time to make a sassy retort to Noboru before her hands are clasped into his, bringing her into complete silence, instead accepting every word that comes out of his mouth. Her cheeks burning hot red with embarrassment at her being only held by the hand, she intently concentrates on what she needs to know from her loving partner, and that starts with getting the spiel on her natural affinities. As she has heard before, the Yuki Clan were known to practice an advanced nature transformation, lovingly titled Ice Release. Through the combination of water and wind, people with their blood in their systems could mold their chakra to create ice based techniques, as the name suggests, though it wasn't limited to just that; from what she gathers, it includes snow and slush as well. Pretty much, any form of frozen water under the rainbow is able to be manipulated, and created through the use of this powerful elemental combination. It was always strange to her that her bloodline came from such a prestigious family, but she always had a feeling her mother was very important, and downright awesome. Perhaps this training would bring her one step closer to holding onto the memories of her fallen kin. Only time will tell.
Breathing in and out softly as the explanation continues, she steps closer to Noboru to help further relax in his firm, rough grip. According to him, the way her born element interacts with the world is at least similar to what she's about to learn, though it's hard to focus on the aspects of wind after she's told that water can 'carve through mountains'. Noboru really got better at making her flustered once the bud had been popped on his emotional intelligence. That's only added onto when he decides to blow air into the both of their hands, sending shivers down her spine, and causing her cheeks to glow a bright pink. "Gosh, you're such a big dummy..." she can't help but mutter out, before breaking out of his grasp and interrupting their studying session by squeezing him tightly in a hug, stuffing her face directly into his chest. "Sorry, you're just so cute when you talk like this... it makes me get goosebumps all over. Just give me a minute." A minute is indeed how much she refuses to let go of him, instead sticking to him like a spider to its finely spun web. That gives her enough time to calm herself, being reigned in by his familiar scent and veritable, towering muscular body.
"Okay, I'm ready to give this a try now," the little Yuki woman exclaims once her minute is over, leaving him with a single kiss on the cheek that she jumps up to apply before she backs away from him, standing straight and correcting her posture. Her hands come together in front of her flatly, and she closes her eyes, as useless as that action is to her. With water, the flow was as natural to her as a stream, and she had recently honed that into the crashing force of a waterfall. Wind, however, forces her so she has to attempt and temper the wild power of her soul until it is as precise and condensed as a razor wire. A lot of force can come from the element of wind, but it never relied on its overwhelming mass; it relied on many needle-like pricks that come together in all directions. Reasonably enough, that is how she justifies the differences in her mind, using what she knows after listening to Noboru's lecture. "Come on, Aura... you can do this. You're a Yuki. You have the strength, now you need the direction... it's just like iroyjutsu." ... Just like iroyjutsu...
It clicks. The logic is there for her now, so all there is to do is conduct and lead her chakra into manifesting what she wants. She has enough foresight to know that even if she can do this now, she'll have to continue training and honing the ability to conjure the winds, but getting it out at least once today would be the first step into obtaining otherworldly power she could never even dream of properly. Holding her hands horizontally and parallel to each other, with merely an inch of space in between, she stills her mind, body and soul, only leaving room for breathing and the molding of her chakra. Nothing could interfere with this process if she wanted to get even a tiny bit of gales gusting in the palms of her hands. Her body shakes from the strain, as it'd never interacted with this nature transformation before, yet it held fast, recognizing it once it connects with the cool blood in her genes. Yuki were built for this, and Aura was no exception. Before she knows it, a microscopic blade of air briefly enters reality from her grasp, but she cannot hold onto it for very long. As a result, it cuts her clothes a bit, making a centimeter rip in her shirt, making her gasp and step back. "W-woah... was that it? Did I do it? Was I even doing it right? My shirt feels lighter..."

Breaking free from his gasp, she hugs him tightly around his rigid yet relaxed frame. He smiles from ear to ear, a genuine smile, and how long had it been since someone made him feel this way, he couldn’t tell. He likes seeing her reactions, how she blushes and trembles under his touch. The living embodiment of what she says to him so often now: he’s not a monster, he just acts like one. He wraps his arms around her gently, how soft she felt under his hardened musculature, and he kept her there for as long as she wished to be against him. He can’t thank her enough for making him feel human again. He didn’t even mind when she called him a dummy, or dork… he could only see those as her giving him affection, in her own way. For what reason, he didn’t know, but it didn’t bother him either. She asks him for a minute, and he plants a soft kiss on her platinum hair, holding her close. No words are needed, and she’s used to his silence at this point. She can listen to his breathing, and his heartbeat. They’ll tell her how he feels.
With an agile leap back, she’s ready once again to resume their training; the redhead eyes her curiously with the dark eye. Crimson swirls spiraled around the iris, creating three tomoes with which to observe the world with more detail. He could see her chakra flow, how she honed it, focusing it. “Not quite there yet, baby”, he’d think to himself, keeping his lips sealed. He believed in her, though. There was not hint of doubt in his mind regarding her capabilities, and that she would be able to not only learn Wind Nature, but also unlock her hidden Yuki potential. He watched on.
Something appeared to click within her; her chakra became calm, and as she shifted her hands, holding them parallel to each other with just a space between, he could see her manifesting the chakra between her palms. It was taking a toll on her body, as he sees her shake, but he holds fast, a statue of marble, taking no action or expressing no concern that could interfere with the process. She was not just his girlfriend at this point, or the woman he loves. She was a ninja of the Kumogakure, a warrior, a healer.
A tool for the Lightning Country.
The thought sours in his mind. But it was her decision; he will honor it.
In a split second, a blade of air is manifested between her hands, yet, as soon as it shows up, she loses control of it and the tearing of fabric can be heard. Noboru tenses, and makes his way toward her as she speaks. Immediately, he activates his Byakugan, looking at the cut in the shirt; nothing happened, luckily, her soft skin is as immaculate as he remembered it. Disabling both eyes as he approaches closer still, he places his hand on her solar plexus, brushing the cut shirt, letting his calloused thumb touch against her soft skin. “Nothing to worry about, no cuts on the skin. Just a ripped shirt. We’ll buy you a new one later.” He would add a wink, except she wouldn’t be able to see it. Instead, he moves his hand to her hip, holding her close as he kisses her head again. “Good job. You seem to have awakened your second elemental nature.”
“That being said”, he would start, taking a few steps back, “this isn’t the only training we’ll go through today. You want to be a ninja of the Kumogakure, which is fair. But, you need to be ready for what you will find out there.” He turned around, taking another step, and now, a couple of meters away from his beloved, swinging the white cloak and golden hat off his head, snapping his fingers to send them to his pocket dimension, he turned back to face her. “Come now, love. Let me see that you have what it takes to be a ninja of the Kumogakure.” The invitation, as far as he could tell, would’ve been obvious. However, he adjusted his positioning, one foot facing her, the other facing forty five degrees away from him, at shoulder width, his hands at chest level, hands opened, awaiting for her reaction.

Somehow, she was less concerned about her own well being in that instance than her dearest Noboru was. She only notices this when she feels the big lug rumbling over to her, his hand brushing right between the meeting point of her chest and stomach. Again, she's blushing profusely, and she was going to tell him to let go of her out of embarrassment, but she decides against it once she hears what he has to say. "O-oh... right, heh, I didn't cut myself..." Her words fall off into a whisper, and she sucks in her flustered state as she's congratulated on her successful attempt at drawing out her wind chakra. Excitement floods her mind, and she can feel that sweet, sweet serotonin coursing through her nerves. It only furthers her joy when he gives her a kiss on the forehead, making her giggle with glee, and ball her hands into fists with a giddy smirk on her face. None of it was perfect yet, but she's grasping the basics, and that's all that mattered in this moment. Were they going to keep going? That question is answered to her right after, and she wasn't entirely sure how she felt about the next step in the plan.
"W-woah... a spar? Really?" Aura spoke in complete shock at his statement, no matter how sound the logic is. Never in her life did she think this moment would come. On one hand, the initial anxiety of such a challenge to train her in that capacity was clear, cut and dry on her usually pristine face. Her emotional high from earlier immediately plummeted as she realized the implications. Luckily for her own sanity, she began to decipher the fact that this isn't a negative in the slightest. Whether she didn't think of it or not, it's quite a positive notion that he'd even want to test her might. This would be no different from her sparring session with Ren, with the added benefit that this is her boyfriend swapping hands with him instead of some kid with social issues. Soon enough, she steels her resolve, and narrows her head's positioning, her stance quickly becoming serious. Stepping back another few meters to distance herself, leaving fifteen between the two, she then proceeds to take off the top part of her robes, and does away with the dress as well, both in one fell swoop. Now she's in a very simple kunoichi attire, fishnets and black shorts and a shirt, of which she wore under her formal clothes at all times. He sees her utility belt as well, which he can only assume holds her ninja tools. Briefly sighing, she gets into a dainty but practical stance of her own, her form loose but graceful to allow fluidity of motion, and her knees slightly bent, with her left foot in front of her right.
"Fine. I'm not counting," she says grimly, and nearly immediately she sends a heavy flood of chakra through her entire body, which made her hands flux into a blur, her Chakra Enhanced Strength giving her the speed she needed to weave the Tiger -> Horse -> Ram -> Clone seals without skipping a beat. Two Shadow Clones poof into existence right in front of her, their coloration a beautiful porcelain white, but very obviously giving away that they are not the real her. That's not what they were there for, though. One of them steps forward, while the other behind them weaves the Dog hand seal, and in another cloud of smoke, they turned themselves into a three meter long physically opaque wall, horizontal to block Nobo's line of sight, using the Transformation Jutsu. Of course, she has no idea about his various eye powers, this was merely to test what she's up against. Meanwhile, as she attempts to step back about ten more meters, the secondary clone weaves the Dragon -> Tiger -> Hare hand seals, under the assumption that her dearest won't be able to see them do so. Their plan was to hold onto the Wild Water Wave technique, and wait until the very second their wall is surpassed to blast away, which in turn would create a puddle of water on the ground upon attempting to impact Noboru with it. This would allow the real Aura to work on her own plan, having a secret technique she's never used on anyone before to pull out when the time comes.
He wants to fight her.

Her reaction to him never ceased to amaze, and he dared not think of a time where he may no longer experience joy in these small moments between the two. If only she knew the effect she had on him, then perhaps the scales would be balanced, but he doubted she wasn’t aware of it as it was.
When the two put up space between them, Noboru leaned forward, the familiarity of combat overwhelming the novelty of romance, and his girlfriend – now his opponent, began to make moves. The first thing she did was discard her royal garbs, and for a moment, Noboru was unsure of who he was facing anymore. Tight fitting shorts and shirt, fishnet covering the legs and arms. It was as if he was looking at a younger version of himself, from times where he would wear cargo pants, with a black shirt over a fishnet protective mesh. This woman was truly a dream.
However, when she cast two marble statues of her own image, the characteristic lack of color he had read in her reports due to her condition, he smirked, leaning forward. The first one becomes a wall, in a poof of smoke, after just one handseal. Noboru raised his eyebrow; it was a very interesting tactic, to be sure, one that could be easily undermined with his Byakugan. However, that would be overwhelmingly unfair to his dear. There it was. He was not objective when it came to her. Clicking his tongue against the roof of his mouth, he bent his knees, slinking into a progressive sprint, the first few steps giving him momentum before the last few steps thundered as he neared the wall. Once before it, he shouldered his way through the transformed clone; even a real wall would not have been able to stop the behemoth from his advance, even at his base strength. The surprise on the other side, however, he expected, just not as it played out.

"Checkmate."
Her wall clone now defuncted, the second proceeds with spouting forth a powerful Suiton: Wild Water Wave, which is followed by them running towards him like some sort of maniac. It's very clear to them that they wouldn't last long, so instead, they made sure to be as absolutely messy as possible, spritzing the wave five meters across, rather than concentrating the fire, all while attempting to use its own body as a shield to temporarily distract Noboru from the real target, so she could complete what she has in mind. This plan is as follows.
The moment she senses her last clone rush towards Noboru, she holds her left hand up to begin weaving a series of hand seals; Tiger -> Rat -> Boar -> Serpent -> Monkey -> Rat -> Dragon are all made in the speediest way she possibly can. Meanwhile, her other hand reaches into her nifty item pouch, to pull out a singular smoke bomb. Before she can finish the Rat seal, she tosses the bomb right at Noboru's location, assuming he isn't moving too fast for her to notice him by then, so that the smoke would obscure the true attack. Finally, as the Dragon seal is finished, she lifts her chosen seal hand up in the air with a pointed finger, executing her control over the water five meters away from Nobo. The leftover moisture raises into the air, and at the max speed capable from this technique, form into a series of deadly needles. Closing her hand is what causes them to fully form, and shoot at him from every single direction around him, three hundred sixty degrees, all of which are five meters away upon formation. She's confident that her attack will not send him to his doom, but with her not fully controlling it due to this fact, he could immediately tell if he was many times weaker, she could be trying to kill him right now. Needless to say, when the needles are all shot off, she draws her tanto from her backside, ready to defend when the technique is over, since her enhanced state is wearing off after performing the Thousand Flying Water Needles jutsu.
