Aihara yawned, she had spent most of the day running around doing ‘jobs’ with Grey and her Uncle Cid; along with a new partitioner known as Auron, he didn’t seem to be interested in becoming her Uncle, which was unfortunate for him as she already had made her claims to him, but that was a fight for another day. As Aihara snuggled into her blanket, she hummed a soft tune to herself, closing her eyes as her pink curls cascaded around her small body, almost hiding her entirely in the large bed she claimed as her own and shoved Grey out of that night.
As Aihara drifted off to sleep, she found herself stirring about as images of sand, oceans and many people playing, running and laughing as they partied it up on the beach… Obviously her mind wanted to play tricks on the small girl as she knew she was far enough away from any type of beach, and the closest ocean to her was apart of that small port town Grey had them staying in… Her mind continued to watch the party as she ended up finally drifting off, only to be woken up by the soft giggles of small children around her own age; a strange sound considering there wasn’t any other children living in the small shack that her and Grey stayed in…
Aihara would slowly sit up, feeling the grittiness of sand against the skin of her palms as she opened her eyes, the sunning blinding her at first as she tried to shield them from the brightness. “Ah!” A small cry would escape her lips as she grimaced from the slight amount of pain, after a few moments of adjustment, she would bring herself to a standing position and glanced around: everyone around her in shorts and t shirts or bathing suits… The beach before her seemed endless, the ocean as well as she watched the on comers run around the beach in confusion… How… How did she get here? When did it happen? Was her dream… Not a dream? Her mind flickered back to Christmas… A small shutter, the horror of that was still far too real in her memory.
As the young girl walked along the sand, trying to figure out where she was and to get her bearings about her, she noticed a mirror, her eyes being caught by her own reflection, she wasn’t in her nighty anymore? Instead, she was sporting a lighter tone pink dress, not nearly as thick as some of her others, it was just above her knees, but the ruffles and frill were still sporting her normal look, but with a more… Summery feeling to it… She tilted her head as she looked in the mirror, it was a strange dress, but she did rather like it.
As she glanced away from the mirror; her eyes would meet that of a young boy, almost around her own age; “Come, come! There is a sandcastle competition! We has to win it!” Without thinking, Aihara would take ahold of the boys hand and begin running; towards the beach sectioned for the competition, giggling as she ran; her eyes scanning as she observed the other teams with a puzzled look, some of the other teams had adults in them helping, but her group… Consisted of herself and the boy… Without thinking she would take off into the crowd, grabbing the hand of a large man, who towered over her… Her large pink eyes scanned him carefully as she tugged down on his arm; “Mista! Mista!” She cried, “Helps us! Pleas!” She would chirp out, of course she knew that speaking to strangers was something Grey would reprimand her for, and if she was caught, she would certainly hear about it; but she was on a mission to win and have the best sandcastle of all sandcastles. “build… Castle!” She would whine out as she would begin to drag him across the beach should he be willing to follow the small girl. As she bounced along the sand, her curls would bounce along with her. She had a mission, and that was to make the biggest sand castle anyone had ever seen!

Waking up to the sunbeams, so far away, yet so perfectly accurate as to shine at a proper angle through the gaps in the curtain as to strike his shut eyelids, forcing him to move and wander what burned at his skin. Looking around, the room was a proper mess, but that’s why he was spending so much of his income on this room. The lasses had vacated before he fell asleep, he made sure of it. And once he left, the cleaning ladies could handle the mess. All he had to do now was to clean himself, and so he did; a quick shower, a blade sliding over slick skin, some lotion and cologne. He was ready.
The beach was much hotter than the resort. For that reason, Braska had decided to wear some linens, light and breezy, that allowed his body to breathe, as well as tan shorts, and some flip flops. His white hair was knotted at the top back of his head, allowing his olive branch tattoos to be seen. His red eyes looked over the beach, at the sandcastle competition. He wondered what it was like, to live such a life once again. Having been robbed of a boyhood, he barely remembered the few scant times he had been allowed to be carefree and innocent.
That’s when a pink haired miniature human approached him, tugging at his hand. Mista, mista, she called, help us, please! Build castle! “Sure”, he would growl, his throat a little dry, following the young girl to another boy, and looking around at other groupings of adults and children. Apparently these two were lacking an adult, which begged the question, where were their parents? Didn’t they know how dangerous this world was?
The children certainly didn’t. Carefree and innocent, they were. Braska smiled. Perhaps he could preserve that for them, just for today.
The trio got to work. While the two kids made a shape and towers, they were missing water to give proper structure to the sand. Braska got up, and gave them a quick “give me a second”, before moving about the beach. His light fingers acquired a bucket, and with it, he gathered many dry stalks of beach plants before filling the bucket with salt frigid water. He went back to the kids, where he would show them the sand castle building techniques he had acquired so many years ago from his own father. Tall stalks would allow for their towers to grow tall, and snapping stalks into smaller fractions would allow them to give more structure along the way. The cold water would meld with sand in proper proportions, so that the sand would keep together along the stalks.
Their castle soared upward, and Braska smiled, at the memory of his late father, and at the new memory being formed.

Aihara smiled as the older man would participate within the building of the sandcastle, he was a smart one getting water to include it in the sand to allow better building capabilities. Aihara carefully worked along the two others; the larger the castle got the more excited she became at the structure they were creating one of the largest sandcastles castles the beach had saw as they finished, Aihara backed away with the biggest smile on her face as she jumped up and down with glee.
She would grab a hold of Braska’s hand as she pointed at the castle with her excitement, her large pink eyes glimmering in the brightness of the sun… “We dids goods!” She cheered, watching the competition came to an end, the judges making their way across the small portion of beach, taking notes of each of the sandcastles as they nodded and spoke quietly amongst themselves. After several minutes they would reach the castle made by the trio, the set of subtle smiles across their faces as they wrote their notes down and made their way across. After about thirty minutes of waiting, the judges would find themselves on their stage, announcing the winners as the trio. Awarded their ryo, Aihara would watch as the little boy who had requested her help originally ran off towards his parents…
She found herself looking around the beach for her brother, a brother she couldn’t seem to spot… Was she by herself? The last time something like this had happened, she found herself with her brother and Uncle Cid, but yet… She found herself alone and without them… The sudden dread setting in that she didn’t have someone around to help or protect her…
Her little hand reached towards Braska’s gripping a hold of him as the fear was something all to real. “Scared.” She would whisper, unsure if the man had heard her; she didn’t want to let go of him, but was also scared of the fact that if Grey found out she was clinging to a strange man; he would in fact get rather upset with her… But her mind went back to Christmas, and how she woke up and she seemed to think it was all a dream… Could this to be a dream? Or was this reality… She shook herself mentally moments before the yelling would start just off to the distance of them; Aihara wasn’t much of a talker, and often found herself in situation that would require her brother or Uncle Cid to handle if she could… But in this moment, she wanted to find out about what was happening regarding the yelling.
She would take this chance to drag the man she was death gripping the hand of towards the yelling, “Help!” She would cry out; she would end up letting him go as she darted off in the direction of it only to find herself in the middle of an argument with two older people, arguing amongst themselves though; their argument was rather loud. She found herself putting both of her hands over her ears as she stood there watching them…
The anger and frustration would run through the small girl rather quickly as she stopped her foot on the ground, charging the sand underneath of them with a small amount of lightening in it to give them a shock; not enough to hurt them but rather to scare them enough to make them look over to her in surprise as the small girl had a deep pink aura of chakra hovering around her body; the girls overwhelming ability with sensory seeping out of her once again as she stared at them.
Although Aihara couldn’t find herself to be able to speak to them, but communication via emotions was something easier than speaking, at least for the child. She would stand still, silent for the moments to follow, hoping that the communication via emotions would help them more then their yelling and screaming ever could. As Aihara stood there, she found herself mixed inside of their emotions, the anger and sadness between the two was confusing and disturbing, something she herself was unable to explain in her own mind… She couldn’t find herself able to configure them as she tried to maneuver them into a position emotionally to be able to fix what was broken.
With a sigh Aihara would smile as the couple nodded towards her, almost a sign of thanks as they took each other hand in hand and began to walk off; it seemed that her abilities came in handy once again; as she shrugged it off simply. She knew that she needed to help and in her own way she did help. She would turn to look at Braska, hoping that he was still nearby her as the announcement for a marathon begins, spanning from the east end of the beach down to the lighthouse on the right end of the beach, five miles away from their current location, the winners would receive 2000 Ryo as a reward. With a small gasp she would point in the direction of the beach where the marathon would take place, as it had specified that the race would be doubles in a one legged race, meaning that they would be tied together for the marathon race of a life time! “Come! Come! We win!” She would cry out cheerfully.
