After the events of last night, Eternity had thought that it was best to stick around in bed a little longer. A lot of the night was fuzzy. She remembered drinking, a LOT of drinking. The clink of coins against a bar counter. She remembered a man and as soon as she did her head throbbed painfully. She remembered… sandy hair. Medium length, for a male. Blue eyes? Or green? Every small detail she fetched about that person hurt but she couldn’t help but indulge her curiosity. She kept pulling information until she had a vague picture in her head about how he looked. Then, she opened her eyes.
She was in bed. Not her bed, but a bed. She was in an inn across the street from whatever bar she had been at. She could see it through her window. While she would have loved to think about last night a little more her head couldn’t take it. She got up, tidied up a little, and then went downstairs into the lobby. It didn’t take her long to find someone she recognized. In fact, the man that she was thinking of was there, munching on a baked good with one hand and reading a book with another.
“You!” Eternity said, none to quietly.
“Me!” he said back, at equal volume. He closed his book, set his food down and then walked over.
He put a hand on her shoulder and offered a jovial smile. “I decided to stay in town a bit longer and try to figure things out. You were right, it’d probably be best to stick around and see if I have any friends or family who can help me out.”
His words were oddly making sense to Eternity, though she didn’t know the context behind them. She was sure it was just something else she’d forgotten from the night before. She decided to come clean because he looked like he was expecting her to say something constructive.
“I sort of blacked out last night. I don’t remember much, but I do remember hanging out with you… And you did need some help with something. What was it again?” Eternity nervously put her hair behind her ear with a scratch of her finger.
The man looked puzzled for a moment and then a look of realization came across his face. “So you’re saying I’m not the only one with amnesia as of late. Alright, I’ll catch you up. I’m Ben, and I washed onto the shore on a raft not too long ago with some money and a couple belongings. I can’t remember anything about my past and have been travelling from town to town in hopes of finding someone I know. We met up at the bar across the street last night and I took you here because you could barely walk. I was going to go off on my way but I thought, since this is the most populated place in the area, that I should spend a little more time here. You offered to help me look around town.”
“Oh, that makes sense.” Eternity said. She vaguely remembered their conversations, though that hadn’t been why she’d drank with him for so long. Judging by his looks she guessed she fancied him enough to get to know, though she guessed things hadn’t gone to plan if they ended up sleeping in separate rooms. She pondered for a moment whether she still fancied him since she could see clearly and was in a relatively okay state of mind. He definitely wasn’t as attractive as she once thought, but at the same time he seemed nice enough. Eternity thought that if he did end up finding family in the area then he could end up being a long-term friend. Then again, he could just as likely be gone in a few days, never to be seen again.
Eternity took a seat and prompted Ben to do the same. She didn’t even know where to begin so she just asked the first thing that came to mind. “so do you remember anything at all?”
“Not much, unfortunately. I remembered a little more when I woke up though. I remember an establishment that had impeccably clean rooms. I think it must have been a fancy inn, one where the staff would go above and beyond for its guests. I remember I liked reading, and how I’d stay up late to do so. I remember propping my feet up in bed and just falling asleep with a good book.”
“Do you remember anything… not about reading?” Eternity pressed. She didn’t think they were making any progress. She had to actively try to remain patient. She reminded herself that it was Ben who should be stressed, not her. A couple deep breaths and thinking to herself calmed her down a bit. She tried to remember how many times she’d gotten herself into trouble. Now that she thought about it, her worst times in her life were when she didn’t have a friend. The least she could do for Ben was to give an honest effort, at least until he could get a grip of his situation. She had a feeling in her gut that he wasn’t going to find what he was looking for and that he’d have to get a temporary job to make ends meet.
“Hold on, I think I’m getting somewhere. I read a lot because… because I liked to learn new things. I’d learn about animals, herbs, stuff like that. Then there was… there was other stuff too. I remember learning math and some science. Blimey I might have been a student. And… And…” Ben trailed off and seemed to be lost in deep thought for some time.
“Alright, so you liked books and might have been a student. That still doesn’t explain why you ended up on a raft and how you washed up onto shore. Or why you’d even get on a boat to begin with.”
Ben nodded. “You’re right, there must have been some reason for me to come here of all places. Maybe I saw something interesting in a book and decided to go on a trip. Or maybe I already went somewhere and was just returning home, I suppose there’s no way of telling at the moment.” He leaned back into his high backed chair. He felt like it had been so very long since he had last sat down with a good book and just read. He felt like there was always something that came up that interrupted him. At least he was remembering his old mannerisms. He felt like if he could just remember which book got him to travel, he could unravel this mystery once and for all.
“Anything coming to mind,” Eternity asked. She’d given him a whole five minutes to himself and he looked lost in thought.
“Nothing. No family, no friends, just books and waking up on a raft.” Ben groaned and buried his head in his hands.
Eternity got up and said, “well, enough moping about, let’s make a trip to the busy parts of town. Maybe you’ll see something you recognize. If not, then you’ll know for a fact that you didn’t come from here.”
“Fair enough,” Ben said. He got up and pulled out the small leather sack which contained his money. It was basically all he had left to his name aside from the clothes on his back. He looked inside and gauged that it would be enough for another week of local travel and after that he’d be out of luck. The reality that he might be stuck having to rebuild his life from nothing started creeping into his mind.
The two of them walked around for a few hours. They even met up with Snow in the middle of their walk. They went to the local beach town school since Ben said he might have been a student. They went to the libraries too since he liked books. They passed through market areas yet still, at the end of the day Ben couldn’t recognize any place in particular. They ended the day by returning to the same inn and sharing a meal. Eternity could see that Ben was losing hope by the minute and she had started to wonder if she would gain anything from keeping him as a friend. In her eyes he was basically homeless if an epiphany didn’t occur soon. Also, she wasn’t so apt at relationship building that she could foresee any long term value in helping him much longer. She knew how selfish she was feeling but she couldn’t help but weigh people based on how valuable she thought they were.
“So, what now,” Eternity said after a mostly silent meal.
“I don’t know. I suppose I’ll have to find work and save up money. Hopefully something comes to me and if not, I’ll travel the world.” Ben averted his gaze and continued, “I’d offer to get you a room again but I don’t think I can afford it. I did the math and I have about three days to find work and a place to stay. You don’t think I could stay with you for a while do you?” Ben had asked the same sort of question to everyone he’d gotten help from but nobody had ever gone that far out of their way to help.
“I’ll think about it, but for now, no.” That was all Eternity said before leaving the inn, though she wanted to say much more. She wanted to tell him how much time she’d wasted on him and that he was an idiot for thinking she’d let him stay at her place. At the same time, she felt really sorry for him. She would have to process her feelings. If she had a change of heart, she was sure she would be able find him again.
The next morning Eternity woke up and met up with Snow. She found out that there was actually a mission put out to help this guy get back on track. But they couldn’t just set him up with a job, they needed him to regain his memories.
“This is probably a waste of time” Eternity said.
“Yeah, but money’s money. We have to get some more. You know our hotel rooms aren’t exactly cheap and I’m sure Madara is going to want some sort of proof that we did some missions.” Snow giggled.
“Do you really care about what SHE thinks?” Eternity asked.
“Well, she did create us you know.” Snow said.
“Did she? Because I have memories of my own. I think it’s more likely that she just yoinked us from our timelines and now we’re stuck here. We should probably be trying to get back, not helping her.” Eternity scowled.
“Who knows, all I know is that I like it here. More than my own reality at least. So long as we aren’t used as human sacrifices this life is better than my last.” Snow frowned.
“Geeze, your life sounds like shit. I guess mine’s about the same. Didn’t have any relationships I particularly cared about. Okay, whatever let’s go get this guy’s memory back.” Eternity yawned and wondered if that guy was still at the inn or if he’d wandered off at night.
Unfortunately, the guy was missing. When they arrived at the inn they’d find that someone had broken into the inn at night and kidnapped him. Shit. Snow dropped down, she snatched up a katana that was lying against a wall. Poor sucker would never know it was missing. She closed her eyes, the katana in hand, both hands on the blade handle down. Eternity got some intel leading to where the kidnappers might be. She took the weapon from Snow and they jogged on over. They found a guard sitting at the door of some large run down shack. Eternity came to pierce the woman’s back and chest, touching the heart. First shot, rather easy. Looking at her from A to Z, she quickly made a few signs, then performed a henge no jutsu. she took her form, her clothes, and her necklace, which contained some kind of box. She could not put it in the box yet, since they were carrying it as recognition probably between them, she should not neglect any detail. she continued her round, however taking the road on foot now, not worrying about her chakra signature yet. She saw then that there was another one not far away, who turned to her and with a big gesture of arm, the smile hanging on her lips, made me sign to join her. Smiling too, and remaining as calm and natural as possible, she went there. She began to talk to them about things and others, totally uninteresting, and something that suddenly shocked her.
“Oh fuck!! Alert, there is an intruder here! You bastard I'm going to kill you….!” Suddenly, Snow and Eternity saw a huge fireball form, and move towards them at an impressive speed. No doubt the guards had some mercenary backup. What kind of people kidnapped others this staunchly were not to be messed with. Facing these people head on would had been far from easy. But it was too late, she hadn't felt her presence, and this man there must had suspected something. There, the mission rank now made sense. These men had to wait for the arrival of a trained missing nin. No time to think, she still had the inert body of her opponent in her hands. She tore off the necklace with the note extract, then began to compose rapid signs while sending the body against the fireball. Thus, she thought she had touched her, but remained on her guard. She had made a kawamiri no jutsu, to take the place of a wooden log that was right next to the one that had launched the big ball of fire. How conveniently placed that was… but then again all replacement jutsu were acts of convenience.
Even if the guard had a very good level of chakra control, this technique consumed a lot of chakra, it took him two short seconds to blow out the fire, but it was already too late, a knife knife came to plant itself in the neck, to cut her artery main. She took it out, then put it back in its trachea, so it wouldn't bleed all over the place. She made a henge of the latest victim, hiding the bodies that she had already killed, that made three. The others were in the village, she headed there, having avoided panic. When she introduced herself there, she cried out on false alarm, saying that it was the other two "idiots" who amused themselves by making them believe that there was an attack, since they were so bored. They laughed in the village, now she was in the middle of a hostile environment...
But still, she had to deal with it. she had put the other two notes in the box, carrying only the one adorned by the one she had assumed the appearance of, before she killed her. There were three left, she told the latter to excuse the others' absence that they had found some pretty women who were passing by, and that they were going to walk together. She had to go to the chef's tent, in order to recover the last of the notes, and stop taking risks. Because there, even if nothing is impossible, if she was spotted within their base, she was going to feel those consequences for a while. So she had to be quick. And this time, she was going to take the drastic measures.
Kneeling down before her as "respect", she tore off the collar, and before he could yell, planted a knife in his throat too. He was dead and that left nobody to guard the herns which she picked and put into her box. She then quietly left her home. She found that there were three people waiting for her, she went out and faced them. Looking at them frostily, they got up, and realized that something was wrong.
“The boss is dead.”
At this very moment, she took a violent blow on the head, there was one that she had not seen, she was trapped... she reopened her eyes about an hour later, she was tied up, all were there , in front of her, looking at her with a smile, hitting her in turn. The toll on her body this mission was getting too high so she had get out of there. They didn't know her real powers, so she was going to take them by surprise, but she didn't had to hang around, because she had already taken a lot of blows.
Entering the house, she saw him, he was tired, almost at the end of his life, and from what she understood, he believed that there was some special medicine that would restore his memory. Foolish man, the medicines were special, but not for mental problems. They were just useful for augmenting items and such. Approaching him, she told him that she was there to see if everything was fine, that she felt weak.
Eternity was close behind Snow the whole time. She had been making sure nobody else was coming. “Ben!” she shouted, “what happened?”
“I made a deal with these guys. I trade them my bloodline and they give me a medicine that restores my memory. It’s the only way!” He looked like he was close to breaking. He was also missing a hand.
Snow said, “well, they’re probably mostly dead so just take the damn medicine if that’s what you wanted. And find your hand unless they’ve already used it.”
“I have it here,” Eternity said. She was holding it since she thought it was odd a hand had been placed off to the side. It was still warm too.
“Thanks guys… girls I mean. Here’s to hoping the medicine works.” He took the medicine in one gulp and by golly it actually worked. His memory was returned! That meant they could get paid, right?

Snow said, “well, they’re probably mostly dead so just take the damn medicine if that’s what you wanted. And find your hand unless they’ve already used it.”
“I have it here,” Eternity said. She was holding it since she thought it was odd a hand had been placed off to the side. It was still warm too.
“Thanks guys… girls I mean. Here’s to hoping the medicine works.” He took the medicine in one gulp and by golly it actually worked. His memory was returned! That meant they could get paid, right?

There was a knock on the door and a message was slept under the room that Eternity and Snow shared. Within an hour they woke up and once again met with a local that set them up with a job. She’d had to prove themselves worthy of being lifeguards by doing some eight-hour shift. They thought it would be easy, but that was before a creature crawled out of the water looking to terrorize the beach. Eternity was impressed with the creature. It was like a mix of a fish and a cat all in one. And it looked bloodthirsty. It started running towards beach goers which meant that it had to be stopped.
It made the two living clones think whether this was a creature that could be summoned. Snow wondered if she could even convince such a summon to teach her senjutsu to begin with. She got thrown into another fight and this was basically confirmation that this beach vacation was never really a vacation to begin with. She was supposed to be showing improvement with channeling and using chakra but it was hard. Snow had concentrated in controlling her breathing before she lowered herself into a fighting stance again for the billionth time. Eternity hadn’t won at all and continuing wasn’t going to be easier than it had been before. They watched the fish cat as it stood at its full height. They finally got a clean shot, and that seemed to be enough for the creature. The pain was intense and even though she told her that she was happy with her fast process and that Eternity was a dirty fighter, new emotions rose and wanted to fall, she don't know if the pain was more intense of the fun of getting smashed around by a weird fish cat. Eternity sucked in some air and released it letting her training kick in. Deep inside Eternity hoped that this will be over soon and that Eternity will go skinny dipping, heal her aching bones in the process. That would ease the tension.
Then the fish cat waved its paw, as if it wanted Eternity to continue. Eternity scowled and thought, “was that not enough for you? I’m already injured and you want to play this game? Also, it can talk? This is wild” She wanted to give it another solid blow so that she could drive home her frustration. That was exactly what the cat wanted.
Eternity suddenly leaped towards him, with both of her arms back, both hands ready in the form of two solid fists. This world was her playground... Lets play. As Eternity neared him, Eternity hopped from left to right, hopefully to confuse him to decided where her strike was going to come from. It came from the right. And as soon as Eternity was before him, up close and personal, Eternity slammed both of her fists into its stomach. Pain gripped her fists and Eternity dug in deeper for good measure. Pain also gripped her own body but she pushed through it. Snow ran around the outside and threw some stones at it but they just bounced off.
Her skin coating her knuckles were bruised and burning, her wrists were throbbing. And most off all her stomach, chest, back and butt ached more than anything else. Eternity flipped back, going low, both fists slightly pressed in the ground, her body straight whereas her legs under her clothes were split forming the splits along the ground. Instantly she came rushing toward me, her movements safe. Eternity simply straightened and rolled, knocking her off balance in the process of rising to her own feet. To her surprise she recovered and slammed both of her fists into her stomach, at the very same time, Eternity drove both of hers into its chest.
She was aiming for its stomach, but the fish cat was much taller than herself. They both fell back. The crack of her attack was ringing loud in her ears. Her stomach contorted, ripping and burning, burning all the air from her lungs leaving her gasping for air, as though her life depended on it. Her throat burned even and that spooked her more. Eternity was dehydrating but for her risky purposes she ignored such warnings. Somehow Eternity got to her feet before the cat did, and walked over toward him, swaying. But as Eternity neared him, her arms suddenly shot out of nowhere and as soon as Eternity felt her hands on her legs, Eternity knew she was going to hit the ground hard.
Snow shook her head. She didn’t know what to do but she did spot someone getting swept out to sea. She ran to go fetch them and drug them back to shore. They were unconscious which meant they needed medical attention. Great. She carried them to the nearest medical station quickly, hoping that Eternity would be able to handle the fish cat thing in the meantime.
He pushed, and Eternity fell over him, her ribbon falling out of her hair. Blind, Eternity rose to her feet, and tried to clear her face of her long hair. At once Eternity jolted back by the sharp pain of two cat paws hitting her stomach. Eternity gasped, spit flying from her opened mouth, but Eternity did not fall. Still blind, Eternity listened to the sound of her breathing. When Eternity herd nothing, Eternity stilled. Pain gripped her again, her stomach protesting from each punch. As Eternity recovered her footing, Eternity stilled, braced her stomach and closed her eyes. At the sound of her feet gliding across the ground, to the right of her sent her striking. Eternity planted both of her fists into its solar plexus, wounding it for the time being. Eternity was getting good at this...
Not pausing for a break, still blinded by her long hair, Eternity waited for the cat thing to get up before she approached her. Eternity could hear her rough breathing. Eternity focused on that sound but as soon as the sound stopped abruptly, Eternity stumbled to a halt and braced herself. Two fists hit the meat of her arms, knuckles hitting the hardest of her arm, bones. Pain crawled at her but at least Eternity was not wounded to the point that she could not breathe.
She neared her and drove both of her fists into its stomach, remembering to lower her strike slightly due to her being taller than herself. Eternity herd her grunt and she pulled back only to be bouncing on her feet. She coughed and Eternity leaped, hitting her again. Her fist connected with its paws, and she pressed her away from her before jabbing it in the stomach. Pain exploded and a cried out. Ignoring the pain was beyond her strength now. But Eternity did not give up.
She swayed and as soon as Eternity heard the cat approaching, Eternity advanced. Her lungs constrained by the tight lacing of her corset but Eternity tried not to let that bother her. As if her sensing that she had dodged her or was about to, Eternity side stepped, hopefully into the right direction and hammered both of her fists into its stomach yet again. When Eternity felt something firm, and herd that she gasped. Eternity hit her smile before hitting him again. Eternity knew that she had surprised him, and that will surely give her high marks.
As if sure of herself, Eternity lost her guard and was punched to the ground. That strike was much weaker than before, and when Eternity landed on the ground, Eternity felt a pair of paws on her shoulders from behind her. Briskly Eternity pulled her hair from her face and stared up at the cat in shock. There was another large cat entirely and it was flaming, and Eternity cried before covering her face. She had hit a total stranger. “Oh well he, it shouldn't have been near me, was it blind?” she thought. She pulled herself to her feet, her stomach, face and arm ached but that didn't bothered her at this point. This male did. “Human scum! You punched me!” the cat boomed and Eternity felt so embarrassed.
As her tears came out, the new creature suddenly came at her, like a bull. But Eternity didn't think, Eternity simply reacted and took three quick steps backward. With that slight momentum, Eternity lifted her right boot to the base of the lifeguard chair and pushed up, grabbing a low brunch for support and whipped her left leg out. She missed.
“Enough!” shouted the creature Eternity had been fight with. “How can you be so blind as to not see us fighting here for all this time? Hurry up and heal the human before I lose my temper.” The fish cat that Eternity had accidentally punched let out a terrifying growl, but then it started to lick her wounds and heal them rapidly. The cat Eternity dueled with licked its own wounds and before long it looked back to normal too. Before long, the only sign that Eternity had been fighting at all was its clothes that had gotten understandably torn up throughout the fight. “This is incredible,” Eternity commented but all she got was a snort full of snot from the healing cat who took a seat in the sidelines. Not that Eternity’s attention wasn’t focused solely on the elderly fish cat, she noticed that quite a few other creatures had come to watch.
“Umm,” Eternity said nervously, “so am I dinner or what? I don’t get what’s happening here” she was nervous as ever. Every one of these cats, except maybe the cub, could easily take her out without issue. “You held your own quite nicely,” the elder said, “but I am sad to say I am disappointed in your taijutsu. Judging by how you didn’t use any jutsu, I have to assume you simply cannot use any. I am willing to form a peace treaty for the time being. Also I see that backup is arriving for you and I don’t have any desire to lose any of my own. Each one of us has a choice whether to fight you or not, even if you best us. This little one here may be eager to fight you on a whim but do not expect the majority of us to act in kind. Respect must be earned.”
Eternity trembled slightly as she listened and dropped onto one knee out of respect. “I will do my absolute best to earn the respect of you guys so long as you don’t kill any innocents during my shift today. I will not let you down.” The elder fish cat grunted and waved a paw. An albino fish cat crawled from the ocean with a scroll in its mouth. They started writing upon the paper, but Eternity had to interrupt. “You want me to carry that bulky thing around?” Eternity asked warily, “can’t we make it a little more… compact? You know, like a ribbon in my hair? she was ignored. The contract was relatively simple but it required a bit of blood from Eternity so she pricked her thumb and added some. Then the contract was pretty much made. Eternity was handed a scroll much larger than she would have thought necessary, and she tied it securely to the back of her waist. It wasn’t a summon contract, it was just a peace treaty.
Most of the fish cat family just sort of left. There was nothing left to see so the only ones left were Eternity, the elder cat, and the little cat. Eternity contemplated what the cat had said as she walked around the beach, making sure nobody had gotten hurt. She shrugged and took off the scroll that she had been given and set it on the ground. She was having second thoughts about all this. Sure she had spent a ton of time searching down the family, but at least she had the chance to dodge a bullet by choosing to forget all about this mess and move on to what was really important: figuring out what she was going to do next! It wasn’t long before she fell asleep and let Snow take over the lifeguarding.
There Eternity was, laying unconscious when Snow returned from taking that person to the medical station. Snow shook her head and sat on the lifeguard chair. She blew her whistle now and then when people started acting up in the waters. Lifeguarding was tough work. Not because saving people was hard with shinobi strength, but because it was mind numbing how stupid people could be in the water.
Snow saw a small fish cat crawl across the sand at Eternity. It sniffed Eternity and asked, “hey you, are you still alive?” It noticed just how injured Eternity was and it started sniffing around some more. It noticed the peace deal that Eternity had placed on the ground and swiped a paw to see what was inside. “Oh shit, looking at this date, you just made this agreement,” the fish cat commented. She pawed through it to see that she was permitted to perform medical ninjutsu as part of the contract. “Well, you’re one lucky daughter of a bitch,” she said as she licked her fishy paws. She got a little too into licking her paws and lost track of time. Eternity was barely breathing when she remembered that she was supposed to leave them alone. She walked over and started licking her wounds, healing her little by little.
Eternity finally woke up to see the ugly creature sitting on her lap and her hand absent mindedly petting it over and over again. She had no idea what had happened after she fell asleep, but she felt like she should have at least been hurt during her slumber. Her hair was singed at the edges which was a good sign that there had been a fight. “So what happened,” she asked. “I licked ya. Do try to survive would you,” the creature snapped back at her, “don’t tell me you came all this way just to die before you had a chance to enjoy the beach!” Eternity scratched her head but quickly moved her hand back to the small creature when her claws dug into her skin. “Alright alright,” she said with a wince. “Thanks for saving me… would you like to uh… chill? I’m sorry I really have no idea how this is supposed to work.” Eternity was feeling nervous and wasn’t sure how she was supposed to ever get a summon but this was the closest she thought she was ever going to get. Why did it feel so weird to be talking to a fish cat?
“I’ll think about it, you were pretty cute today while you fought so I guess. My name’s Sofie by the way,” the cat said with a yawn. Then she promptly fell asleep on Eternity’s lap. She just kept petting her until she fell asleep herself. When she woke up again the creature was gone, and Eternity was left to give the Snow some help with patrolling the beach.
As soon as she did this another strange creature came out of the water. “My name is Usuf, I see you met my sister. What can we do for you?” She looked at Usuf and said, “oh I haven’t met you yet. I’m Eternity and this is Snow. Would you like to be our friend too?” Usuf nodded, “I am looking for battle. I will help you as best I can, but we should spend some time today doing bonding stuff so that people don’t use stupid ass rules to say that you aren’t justified in keeping a peace deal.” Eternity nodded, “yes, stupid ass rules are the bane of anyone’s existence really.” Then they walked off together. They still had a bit of time left before she could consider themselves true allies.
So she decided to bond with him on the beach since it was getting late and nobody was really swimming anymore. She brought him to an area of the beach and tried to show off that she had energy and that she was worth bonding with him even though convincing him had only taken about two seconds. He sat there, bored, and watched as she meditated. Focus... she told herself. Imagine the void. The emptiness of space. The world's green grass and blue seas, but then - forward, beyond this world. The green becomes indigo. The blue becomes a solid black, darker than anything. The universe is a sea of darkness, within which there are only glimmers of light. this world is one of them; a beacon within the darkness. A condensed form of reality, where the splendors of the universe bear fruit. But even within this world, the darkness still exists.
The creature could sense the space time energy coming off of Eternity and was impressed. He thought that she would be a great person to work with in the future. The empty space. Feel it. Control it. In her meditation, she could truly picture it in her mind; the darkness that surrounded her. Pockets of chakra encircled around everything, all of them echoes of the event that created this world, as was the galaxy an echo of whatever came before that. chakra was spawned from something she didn’t know or understand. Acknowledging this reality could teach a shinobi two things: one, that power can be harvested from fragments of power - such as claiming chakra as one’s own. Two, that the world everyone lived in had multiple layers. Air was not just air; it wasn't only air that occupied that space. It was air, energy, and matter; by extension, space itself. All this served to waste the last bits of time before the lifeguard shift ended. Not long after Snow and Eternity just ended up napping on the beach and didn’t wake up till the very early morning. All they had to do now was go get their money from the lifeguards! Hopefully they recovered enough to take over because there was only so much lifeguarding these two were willing to do.
