“Please, be careful with that. All equipment without the hospital are crucial for patient care.” Saiya stressed, parading the lobby as workers moved precious tools from one part of the facility to another. Her fair skin face was full of sweat and frustration - since the disappearance of Enyo staff have grew lax and patience grew irritable and coarse. Saiya being the head nurse, assistant to Enyo at the time, was by right the next in line for supervising the hospital. However, this was beyond her scope of handling. She was never good at handling confrontation or executing rigidity. So she was having a hard time, some months worth. Yet she does her best to hold back her frustrations.
The lobby automatic doors divided, the chime of another guest was indicated. Saiya had her back turned towards this guest, but the chime would notify her. She sighed internally, taking a deep breath and then exhaling before mentally preparing for another difficult experience. Before she could turn around, the sound of Mai gasping from the receptionist desk would snatch her attention. Saiya turned to see her fellow colleague in raw shock. This concerned her; directing her attention to the lobby doors she would see and understand. “L-lady Enyo?”
Enyo, Goddess of War stood, barely, at the front, standing over the threshold of the entrance. The bandages that hid her scars were nowhere in sight. Her right eye was no longer within her head. The woman looked slimmer, her muscle mass reduced almost significantly. Her hair have grown in length some - Enyo sharply popped her neck and shoulders. Stiffening her posture as she eyed the women. They stood there in silence and bewilderment. The Goddess’s eye would trail the corners of the facility and every inch of the floors. “This place is a complete mess!” Her roar would rattle their cores, disturbing their haze - Saiya flinches as she knew this was really Enyo. She knew that even in her worse of conditions that Enyo did not tolerate the hospital being in poor condition. “It’s really you? Isn’t it?”
She took slow steps, steps that gradually increased in pace, but steps nonetheless. “You look awful, but it’s definitely you, Lady Enyo.” She would have closed the distance and embraced the woman in a endearing hug. Burying her face into the shoulder of the Goddess. Enyo, with her one eye would stand there in pure absence, bringing her right hand up to wrap across the upper back of her assistant. She didn’t take into account how hard things must have been for her, how much she had to deal with, adapt to. She slowly rationalized that Saiya must have been giving it her all. “Yes, it’s me, Saiya.” She then felt the warmth of her tears tracing the scars of her burns along her shoulder.
She allowed the hug to go further, those tears were the burdens of Saiya’s troubles. “Sorry…I left you with so much, I shouldn’t have left you like that.” She shared. Saiya parting from her and wiping away her own tears. “No, it’s okay. You’re back now and that’s all that matters. But what happened to you?” Enyo remained silent, she wasn’t yet ready to share that. “Now is not the time for that.” She replied as she step aside and pass her. Motioning towards the hall that leads to her office. Coming across a man with one of the hospital equipments, handling it with careless regard. The woman would immediately walk over to him, grabbing him by the throat and lifting him from his feet. His hands removed from the cart as he gripped at her hand around his neck, his feet kicking. “Do you feel that? That’s your brain losing its oxygen flow. What comes next is your lungs begin to grow hot, then feel as if a thousand pin needles are pricking at it. Your throat will then feel as if it’s both on ice and fire. Your vision blurs and your chest heavy as if an elephant is stepping on you.” She held him there, suspended in the air. He struggled. Then tossing him to the floor. He gasped for air, breathing heavily, shakily. Standing over him, gazing sternly with her one eye. “That is the experience of suffocation, familiarize yourself with it. Because if I catch you mishandling that mechanical ventilator again, you will take that feeling to the grave.” The man was terrified.
Wasting no more time on him, she continued towards her office. Saiya close behind her.
