Its been a long time Coming

The Red haired Demon approached the gates of the village that he once called home, whenever this place was turned into something out of the horror stories. The Red haired demon took out his Kumogakure headband and held it up as he approached the gates. Upon his eyes falling upon the gates with plenty of room for them to open, He would call out to the shinobi he knew should be guarding the gate, just he did not know if he would get to see a familiar face, He had been gone for many years now at this point. When he Called out the once a boy who left the village and was returning a shadow of a Man he once was " My Name is Fenikkusu Fushuchiro, I was a ANBU member during the time of Lord Yaju Hayate, I tried to defend the village and failed against the likes of Youka Tau and his compariots. I return now to defend my home once more , and to server under the new Raikage, whoever they may be." As he Stared at the gates he remembered the last time he saw them. It had been years ago, He looked upon these gates with Sorrow that day as he was forced to retreat in order to get stronger and return to avenge his lost village.

Fenn however thought back fondly on all his friends. Even those that had been lost. His eyes would begin to glaze over with tears as he looked upon the gates and imagined that day, reliving it. He had unlocked the power of the seventh gate and fled at full speed. He was abandoned on the battle field by Ganki, Yaju and Psychosis never answered the call, Misaki had vanished. Akihana was gone. He did remember the boy who tried. The cloud boy who successfully got away. Arashi.

As Fenn recalled them, he also remember the little boy who was much like a little brother to him, Arata, Akihana's boy. He wondered if he would ever find out about his adoptive family. The years that passed allowed him to get over the weird thing he had for Akihana, the one that made him look at her in the light of a mother like figure, but also the akward mindset that wished he had been older that made him eat aging pills and try to win Akihana's love that way. Fenn would only come out of the memories by someone calling for him or the gates opening, which ever happened, that would likely be what snapped him out of the trance he was currently in.

So this is what true Chunin life was like…

Getting to be the leader of a squad of genin, to doing more high stakes missions that involved a heavy eye and precision when it came to combat, to…ahem…gate duty. Nothing could ever possibly be more fun than this. Not like you just sat around for an entire 8-12 hour shift for nothing major to really happen nor occur. Not like how the gnashing pangs like a gnawing hunger that is boredom ever strikes when on these particular days. But such was the way of the things. For every benefit of the position, also came a detriment. In Hiroki’s eyes, the idea of this particular task in general was one such detriment; it wasn’t like he was actually getting paid to do this. The pay was just automatically assumed earned in the weekly Chunin pay. Not only that, there just wasn’t really the flexibility to roam around like how he prefers went given jobs to do by the Lord Raikage.

But.

There he was.

The Chunin. The Raiju of Kumogakure, The Dragon Slayer and hopeful future Lord Raikage; Hiroki Shimada. Sitting, wearing armor of the cloth variety. Colored crimson, much akin to the left half of the 18 year old’s semi spiked head of hair. The hair in question wasn’t necessarily spiked like jagged looking, but it wasn’t giving a curly or flowing shape to it. Instead the strands formed soft triangular formations stretching upwards from the scalp. The other half being a stark white, not like porcelain though. More similar to an alabaster tone. Though it wasn’t seen due to the full coverage of the makeshift desk provided by the countertop which hung out on either sides of the gate guard station, the sage had also been wearing a particular set of boots that came in handy for worst case scenarios. They looked like ones that a pirate would wear, black and leather. But the interior had been tweaked slightly, given a red interior. On the shinobi’s left, his katana, positioned exactly a meter away leaning up against the wall. To the Kumogakure ninja’s right, a dire wolf; one that appeared to be full grown in size, laying down on all fours. And currently, unbeknownst to Hiroki for now, at least, this would not be one of those days in question though.

First, the dire wolf would smell it. The scent of one that wasn’t just any ordinary citizen. It wasn’t a busy day due to the rainy weather that’s been encapsulating the country the past few days, so the scent was easy to pinpoint. 15 meters to the southwest, heading directly towards the gate. Telepathically, Shichiro, Roki’s wolven familiar would relay this information to the prankster. A smirk would cross the lad’s face upon mentally hearing this, and he’d lean up in his chair a bit to notice the incoming traveler. Once close enough, the Kumogakure headband could be clearly made out. Any potential tension would slightly release knowing this fact, but his eyes would still be peeled.

Once the man would approach the shack, the Shimadan survivor would hear out what the former Kumo shinobi had to say. If there was one piece of doubt which did raise a bit of a question, it was why was this guy just deciding to come back now? Why did they ever flee from the village in the first place? As of right now though, this was none of Roki’s current concerns, nor his business, so it wasn’t physically expressed on his face, the thought still was clinged on to within the recesses of his mind. A light smile would, however, offer a welcoming greeting towards the lone stranger. ”Well, on behalf of Kumogakure, we welcome you back Fenikkusu. Still have to go through the official paperwork though, seeing as you must have been off traveling for a long time.” The sleek features of the musculature and bone structure of the Raiju’s visage gleamed in a way to where each single, methodical movement almost danced within the light whilst saying it. A hand would reach into the one drawer under the desk, pulling out some paperwork that the man would have to fill out. ”Just need you to convey the necessary information on paper as well. And I’ll need to see some form of documentation, whether it be travel permit or just your shinobi ID.” And the paper would be slide across the wooden counter, along with a pen so that way the dude could fill out the necessary documentation.

Fenn had been welcomed back to Kumogakure, It was with reasonable to the wary. If roles was reversed Fenn would have done the same. Fenn would fill out the papers and hand them back to the Chuunin. Fenn would look out towards what once was a lush forest and he would sigh, remember the time when Psychosis and Yaju had trained him within those trees. Fenn would look back to the Chuunin and he would ask the boy "Was it Youka's doing , if you know, As to the forest being torn away from the land that it once sat upon?" He was curious if the boy would know or not. He would also Ask him "If I may, who is the Raikage now? I heard Rumors that Youka was disposed, but the winds have whispered other possibilities to me, Partly for my Return, if the Reaper of a man is to return, I wish him to once again face me in battle, This time he would face a man instead of the boy I once was." He would wait to see if the boy welcomed him in, let alone if he lead him to the Raikage, or just give him directions.

Fenn would look in past the gates, seeing the houses, a sigh escaping his lips as he let a tear drop from his eyes, he was home, rather they would accept him at anything more than he used to be, or even dropped him down past what he once held, He was home, and this time he would not leave, not even over his dead body. He would rather Release the Eighth gate and burn to a crisp and take the man of many deaths with him before he would turn his back once more on his village of Kumogakure. To him at this time, the Raikage mattered not to him as to who it was, but rather if they could live up to the expectations that Misaki and Yaju and placed inside of his mind as to how a Raikage should be, Minus the not showing when he needed them too.

Fenn had felt abandoned. No one stuck around by his side, and he was out numbered, and he was a kid, what else could be expected of him. He wondered how this Raikage would be. Fenn would let out a sigh as either way he wished to return to the shinobi life and live for the village of Kumogakure once more.

Right.

So, as the fellow before him slid back the now filled out pieces of parchment, and after a quick scan through it all to make sure everything was in proper order, his hands would once again reach into the still open drawer; withdrawing from it a stamp, as well as the ink pad that it belongs to. Along the very bottom of the slip, the mark would be placed. Reading in bold, green lettering the word approved had been stamped, followed by HS for Hiroki Shimada.

His blue eyes, which every now and then would naturally flicker between a light sky blue, offering warmth and welcoming signs to a harsher one, a grayer one like that of winter, icy and cold, before landing upon the shinobi. Roki would pass over a lanyard with a little card at the bottom of it, as well as Fenn’s shinobi ID, and he'd offer a single, solemn nod in response to the first question asked. Changing the tone before it could get grim due to that touchy subject though, his tone would alleviate the mood with it's inherently jovial nature. ”Alright, so, this is your visitor’s pass. You’ll have to carry it around with you wherever you go so long a you’re still considered just a visitor. It lets you have unrestricted access to the Residential Areas, the Advanced Training Facility, and the Drunken Kage. The only places which are currently fully off limits for you would be the Thunderpeak Campus, the Iron Bank, and the prison. I’ll send word to the Kage immediately about your request to meet with him, so you’ll have restricted access to his chambers for whenever he’d send summons for you. As for who he is, the Lord 11th is Noboru Kaito. With all that being said, I officially welcome you back to Kumogakure!” What the man didn’t comment upon though, was the mention of the Mad Kage, Youka…and how he was…dead!? Twas but a rumor, but still. An interesting one at that.

One that would also be informed to the Raikage as well, when the seal specialist would activate his seal of telepathy the notify Lord Nobo with Fenn’s request to meet him, as well as the potential that the man they’ve been dreading, might actually be buried deep within the crust of the earth already.

Fenn watched as he got the stamp of approval, and passed off to him. Fenn would look at the man and smile at him with a nod of his head as a thanks, and when allowed would walk past. Stopping for only just a moment just past the gates and taking a deep breath as he looked forward. He would than begin to head towards the Raikage tower. It looked nothing like it once did. Not to mention the last time that Fenn had seen it was from a distance and it was a smoldering pile of rubble. Fenn would let out a sigh once more as he looked around, remembering the time that he used to run down the streets of Kumo. Doing the missions that he did with Akihana. The blind kid who was healed by a stranger on his way through Kumogakure, Essentially raised by Akihana for the last bit of time that he was a kid. Teaching Arata the few things that he did. Fenn would stop in front of the house on his way to see the Raikage, the house that was once the home of Akihana and Arata. There was so many memories there, and yet the only bad memories he had was trying to defend the village and that one day when a stranger took him to another dimension and took something from him. That something left him scarred. Fenn would put his hand to his chest and would rub it a bit as he would than begin to walk once more towards the Raikage's building.

Upon Entering Fenn would flash back to one of the last times he was standing inside of here. He made it far in the service of Yaju Hayate. And he tried to get further under the Amegakure rule which was a vassal of Kumogakure at the time. Fenn remembered back to the time that him and Akihana had fought Yaju in wolf form albeit they had no idea that it was him. That fight really put him and Akihana to the test. Fenn would begin to question about how everyone was, who all was still around, if anyone was still left alive somewhere in the world.
