Today looked to be an eventful day for Yusuke Inuzuka and his canine companion Rudi. The two of them had been placed with a patrol training group, so they would be more effective village patrol ninja. As Yusuke sat shirtless at the dining room table he wondered what the training might entail. His cup went up and down. Yusuke was deep in thought, and Rudi was still sleeping on the bed. "Hey. Get up Ru." Yusuke commanded Ru and the dog did as he was told. Yusuke let him out and kept drinking his coffee. The morning fog was beginning to clear by the time Rudi was ready to come back in. 

"It's getting cold out there in the morning." Rudi told his master and then proceeded to eat his weight in dry dog food. Yusuke shook his head and finished his cup of coffee. "I let you sleep in. Let me get ready now. And we will race to the rendezvous point." Ru huffed into his bowl of dog food and Yusuke turned around to get himself a clean gi. Looking fresh and clean Yusuke declared he was ready, while holding the door open. 

Ru came running at the door, he always got a handicap headscarf. Once he was out Rudi waited three seconds, "One Byakugan, two Byakugan...." Then Yusuke slammed the door shut andbsmchased after his dog. The race was always a good morning warm up, and Yusuke won like he always did. By the time they reached their destination they were both winded. A chuunin was directing the group when they noticed Yusuke and Rudi. "Well well. Good of you two to make it... exactly one hour late." The chuunin dismissed Yu's excuses, and carried on.

Yusuke didn't know why he was so late, but he was terribly embarrassed. Three other genin were already well informed on how the mission would go. Yusuke on the other hand only had what he could absorb in the short fifteen minutes the chuunin talked. "Any questions?" The chuunin asked and Yu raised his hand. 

"So if I got that right I'm going to be the lead with Rudi, and everyone else will use my position to find the target?" The chuunin nodded and said, "You're smart. I'll give you that. Now I'm Kokou. Stay calm and focus everyone. Get in firmation."

With Yusuke as the point he led the party. Where he went they went, and Yu had a radio communicator to signal to them. Yusuke stalked the rooftops and eventually found the target. Sending Ru in front of him,  Rudi pretended to be injured. When the target paused to take note of the feigning puppies state of being, the patrol guard surrounded him. The mission was officially a success with no casualties. Yusuke was given praise for his ability to command in battle, and happily soaked it all in.

The day went by quickly, and the paid training was certainly a high point of Yusuke's day. Everything went right for him and Rudi. After eating some fresh caught bluegill filets, they both went to bed happier than when they went to bed.
