Rewards: 1,000 Ryo, 5 AP
Ever since his fathers death Kujaku had been working day and night. He rarely slept, and as time pressed on his mental clarity began to suffer. Kujaku needed stability and he had a wake up call one day. Kujaku took that day off and slept, resting his bones. The next day he went to work like usual, but instead of getting more mmissions after dark he signed up for a unique prospect. Kujaku signed up for patrol training.
It was paid training, and work for the village too. Kujaku was thrilled to get a schedule going, he was just too tired lately. He went home that night and took a little nap. The training started at four in the morning the next day.
Kujaku woke up feeling pretty good, he didn't have any flashbacks while he brewed his coffee so that was good. Deep down Kujaku was suffering with grief after seeing his father get beheaded. Itwas hard for the young Uchiha to take in, but today he was free of most suffering. Kujaku drank his coffee in his pajamas and slowly woke up. By three thirty he was dressed and armed to the teeth with his equipment. Kujaku didn't expect training would pose any threats, but he didn't want to be under dressed just in case.
Kujaku didn't get to see his mother that morning. She usually slept in, herself suffering from depression and paranoia since her husband died. Imani was definitely suffering worse than her son, but Kujaku couldn't see it. All he saw was his mother turning on him, her fears stemming fro the black flames that escaped Kujaku's eyeballs the night his father was murdered. Kujaku had awakened his mangekyo sharingan and burnt the whole crime scene down with the unholy flames. He blacked out though, he had no idea what kind of power lay dormant in him. Imani was terrified.
Once Kujaku made it to the rendevous he was greeted by three other ninjas his age. Two of them were recognizable as Academy Students that Kujaku used to study with. He smiled and greeted them happily. Kujaku was good at putting on a mask. But deep down it was days like this that made his sorrow silent. Kujaku was scared what that meant for his memory of his father. He wondered if suffering was the right thing to do.
He tried not to think about it under the starlight with other patrol trainees. Kujaku focused his mind. Taking the social lead he introduced himself and everyone responded with their name and rank. One was a Chunin but Kujaku didn't recognize them. As he was talking though their instructor arrived on the scene.
"Aloha!" The instructor said. He was wearing a bunch of jade jewelry and had a thick white mustache. He looked like an Italian Santa Claus, or Super Mario in his red and white get up. "I will be instructing you on how to patrol the outer cit limits." Kujaku nodded and focused his attention on the mustachioed man.
The instructor told them all what to do, and gave them a paper that would help them study the codes. Kujaku and the trainees were given radio ear pieces.
After a lengthy lecture the instructor told the group, "Well that's it for now. Im Asant Lacus, and I will take you on your next patrol mission. Thats where we will get in praactical training. I suggest you memorize the handout." Asant saluted the group and they dispersed.
