First Order of Business

With Guren's retirement begun, his first order of business was to handle a matter that occurred during his time as Kage. It had been the only act of regression against another village, even if had not been ordered by Sunagakure. For the Sand Village to truly have a clean slate, this would be the first delicate matter to deal with. And so having packed his travel possessions and bid his family goodbye, Guren set out for his first trip in the dead of night. His intentions were making it as quick and straightforward as possible so that he could return to Sunagakure in a timely fashion, but when were things ever so simple?

- Suna Exit to Wind Borders-

The night air was crisp and cool as the winter months gave a slight reprieve of the heat. The Gatekeeper, Musu Uzumaki, would be sitting inside his booth on the quiet night working on some new seal formulas. The Uzumaki was working the grave shift tonight and he knew it was going to be dead.

Musu watched as a cloaked figure left the village. Saying nothing, since it was a not a crime to leave, the Uzumaki simply went back to his work. He didn't know or didn't really care who the man was. But as he passed out of view a strange wind began to pick up, ominously, as though the wheel of fate had slowly turned a dial.
