Shopping Spree Supervisor

It was a super hot and humid morning. The bright sun of Otogakure shone brightly through the window on the face of the young Uchiha who was sleeping. Hanzo woke up with sleep in his eyes. He wiped his eyes and from his bed he could feel the extreme heat of the weather. It wasn't a pleasant morning to start off with, but still the young Uchiha had to rank up soon. His aim to join the Sound Ninja 5, the elite group of shinobi of his village gave him the motivation to get up from his bed. Once the young Genin completes the required amount of missions, he would be considered for the Chunin Exam. The young aspiring Genin took a cold shower to wash off the heat from his body. As he was showering, he thought of a good idea to take whatever mission he can from the Mission Board and complete it efficiently but this time he wanted to take a mission from the C Rank. He wanted a bit of action since all of his previous missions didn't provide any battle experience. He changed into his daily attire and adorned his Tanto on the back of his middle shoulder. He left his house feeling exhausted from his previous days of missions. The young Uchiha started walking slowly towards the Otokage Mansion. As he was strolling down the street, he could see that the village was blooming with a variety of businesses. In the back of his mind, he always wanted to start his own little business and hire people to work under him and that would be after he joined the Sound Ninja Five. He didn't think much of it and reached the Mission Board while adjusting his Tanto, signifying he was ready to take on a mission that had battle intentions.

He scanned through the Mission Board and one of the mission sheets captured his attention. As he read through the details, it was requested by a local businessman. The required protection for himself and his wife as they have been receiving death threats recently. Both himself and the wife are planning a shopping spree and they would like an experienced ninja to escort them around just to be safe. "Finally!" he mumbled to himself silently. It was a C ranked mission and it required him to protect somebody. When he completes this mission successfully, his villagers and his scarlet eyed clan members would be proud of the young Uchiha. Hanzo ripped the mission sheet and kept it within his pocket. He adjusted his Tanto signifying that he was looking forward to a good battle. The young Uchiha left the Otokage Mansion and headed straight to the house of the businessman. As he reached their home, he stood at the door and knocked twice. A lean older man in his fifties with gray in his hair and an older woman in her late forties opened the door. "Hello, My name is Hanzo Uchiha. I am here to escort you while you do your shopping. The mission stated that you have received a few death threats recently, any idea who that might be ?" Hanzo prompted as he wanted to know more information before the mission began. "Thank you for accepting the mission and I see that you are an Uchiha, that means you must be really good. Also I'm not sure who has been sending me these death threats but I have experienced some disturbance during my business hours" the older man answered. "It's because our business is booming at a good rate and many people hate that. We are really concerned about our safety" said the older woman worriedly. "You don't have to worry about anything, I will protect you with all my might. I guarantee your safety" Hanzo assured them while activating his Sharingan just to show them that he was a capable shinobi. "Where are we going first ?" Hanzo asked, adjusting his Tanto and walking out of the house. "We need to go to three locations. The first is the grocery store" the older man responded.

Hanzo politely informed the couple to walk in front of him, as he watched the guard from the rear. The young Uchiha was ready to draw his Tanto at any given moment. The Genin kept observing the people around the vicinity. He made sure he was always near the couple, never leaving them alone. The couple chose a particular grocery store and went inside as Hanzo stood outside the store, facing outwards with a stern look. All of a sudden, a man dressed in total black, jumped out of the roadside and ran towards the grocery store. Since he was running towards the couple, the Uchiha immediately reached for his Tanto on his back shoulder and removed it immediately with his right hand. He pointed the Tanto towards the upcoming assailant. He kept his left hand free if he needed to perform the Chidori. The man dressed in black drew his huge sword from his back and swung at the Uchiha. Without wasting a beat, the Genin clashed his Tanto and stopped the sword swiftly with a single strike. The Uchiha could tell that this assailant was a novice and didn't post any actual threat. "My name is Hanzo Uchiha. Leave them alone or I will deal with you myself!" Hanzo warned him while not removing his eye from him. The assailant was immediately stunned at the escort who stopped his attack since he was bigger than Hanzo and after hearing his name, the assailant ran away. Hanzo sheathed his Tanto on his back again. The couple saw the action with their own eyes and were terrified that they were still under direct threat. "If you had not been here, we would have been dead" the older woman said to Hanzo with tears in her eyes. "Nothing of any sort will endanger you while both of you are with me" Hanzo assured them with a thumbs up with his right hand.

Once their purchase in the grocery store was completed, the couple came out of the store. "Our next destination is the clothes store“ they said to the stern looking Uchiha. "Yes sure, let's get going, and as usual, do walk in front of me" the young Uchiha informed politely. The couple started walking towards the clothing store, while being cautious. Hanzo could see that they were concerned and didn't want to dampen their mood. "I can see that both of you are worried, try to enjoy the day, I will take care of the troubles" Hanzo assured them. As they were reaching near the clothing store, two assailants clad in black were seen near the store. The young Uchiha stopped the couple and informed them of the awaiting threat. The Genin took the lead and ran towards the assailants while unsheathing his Tanto from his back with his right hand. The two assailants were armed, one with an axe and the other with a sword. The young Uchiha was able to sense that the two assailants in front of him were a bit more skilled than the previous one. The two assailants bolted in front of Hanzo and tried slashing him with their weapons, which the young Uchiha dodged skillfully. The assailants were not stopping in their attacks and when their weapon attacks failed they moved onto Genjutsu. One of the assailants casted a Genjutsu technique at the Uchiha, which he immediately dispersed with his Sharingan. The duo were shocked to see that they were fighting against one of the elite clan of Otogakure. Hanzo wanted to utilize his Chidori but didn't want to kill them, so he casted a Genjutsu technique back at the both of the assailants. The black dressed assailants fell on the ground and were in a time loop which will make sure they are out for quite some time.

As the battle was completed, Hanzo and the couple headed to the clothing store. The couple could be seen feeling a bit better as they saw that the young Uchiha was very competent and trustworthy. The couple continued with their shopping as the Genin stood watch at the door. He knew the threats were real and they were in danger but didn't want to make them uncomfortable. He kept his Sharingan activated the whole time in case someone jumps on them again. He was absolutely ready for another fight. While he stood watch, he could see some movements from the corner from his eyes thanks to his Sharingan. He could see someone amassing chakra. He immediately turned towards the location and unsheathed his Tanto. Another assailant clad in black jumped out of the shadows and used a fire release technique on the young Uchiha. Hanzo instantly dodged the attack with a few inches to spare and dispelled the technique with his weapon so as not to make the fire technique hit the store. The young Uchiha could feel that this attacker was much more stronger than those before him. He had no choice but to take him down. Hanzo sheathed his Tanto. He performed the necessary hand seals with his chakra and initiated the Chidori technique. Hanzo could see the shock in the attacker's eyes. The attacker knew he was in a huge trouble. The young Uchiha rushed towards the attacker with his lightning release technique and stabbed him right through the heart. As blood splattered, the black attire was dripping with redness. Hanzo immediately returned to the couple and stood watch again as the couple came out of the store, not knowing what had happened. To not scare them, he kept mum about the situation that happened.

"What is the last location?” Hanzo asked the older couple. "We are tired, we just want to go back home now" answered the older woman. The older man was stunned to see that the Uchiha's Sharingan was still active and uttered "Why is your Sharingan still activated?". The young Genin replied with a smile "Just in case, don't worry about it, I will deactivate once the mission is completed". They started walking towards the older couple's house. As the couple reached their home, they turned to the young Uchiha and said "Thank you for your service, without you, we couldn't have gone any further, we feel at peace now". "It's my duty as a ninja to protect and serve the village. You may call upon me anytime you require and I’ll be more than happy to help out" Hanzo answered dutifully. The delighted older woman reached into her purse and took out an envelope and passed it to the young shinobi. Hanzo knew what this meant, he just got paid for the mission that was successfully completed. He thanked them for the reward and deactivated his Sharingan.

Soon he left their house and walked towards his home. He was fully exhausted as he kept his Sharingan active for a long period of time. He was delighted to finish yet another mission. This means he was very close to getting into the elite shinobi squad, Sound Ninja 5 and will soon rise in the ranks to a Chunin once the requirements are met. He laid down his weapon and thought to himself that he required a better weapon soon to compliment him. Since he worked with Quinn who was a blacksmith, he had an idea that if he were to find a rare and good material, the blacksmith could help with his weaponry or he may just purchase a good weapon when the time was right for him. Having battle experience for the first time, he could sense that he only had one technique to rely upon and needed to learn more techniques. With determination in his heart, he took out a book that was filled with some techniques used in general. He started reading them while he was on his bed. Unfortunately before he could finish reading, with extreme tiredness, he laid on his bed and slept immediately.
