Shopkeepers Woes

Getting more comfortable spending time in the Land of Moon, Junko found herself growing close to an older couple who had some nights taken her it. The hospitable elderly couple ran a clothing store from out the the first floor of a building, and them made their home from the upper floor. One night the older woman was complaining to Junko about how the run down shop next door was concerning her. She mentioned that the smell radiating from the building accompanied by the consistent stream of flies that seem to swarm the area was harming the couples business. Feeling empathetic for the couple who hosted her, she decided to take a look at it herself.

The next morning Junko awoke early, had breakfast with the couple and then wandered out towards the the building next door. The building was similarly set up to the couples, where there was a shop on the bottom floor and a home on the top. However this build clearly was in disrepair, and was in need of some love. While having dinner the night before the couple reminisced about the family who owned the building previously. Junko learned that the previous tenants had a large family, but when the owners passed away none of them had come to care for the business. It the slowly faded into the shell of a home.

Junko searched around the perimeter looking for the easiest point of entry. From what she was able to find, all the windows and doors on the first floor had been bordered up but there was one window on the upper floor that looked like she could squeeze into. Hoisting herself up, she climbed through the window and into what looked to be a study. The room itself looked frozen in time, a desk and chair covered in cob webs, and a thick layer of dust over everything in sight. Every step she took exploring the building was filled the loud creeks and cracking noises, kicked up dust and musty air.

She made her way into what looked to be a dining room, there she found the source of the flies. It looked to be piles of rotting fruit that had been brought here recently. The couples did mention that missing ninja have been hiding in the area, and to be weary of interacting with them. However the “hideout” looked to have been abandoned for about 2 or 3 weeks. Whoever was here, clear wouldn’t be coming back and it was up to her to take care of the mess.

For the rest of the afternoon she began cleaning out the infestation, and ridding the building of all rotten food. She did take some time to snoop through what looked to be old family albums, and keepsakes from different members. After finishing up for the day she headed back to the couples house to inform them of the infestation, and to tell them that they shouldn’t have to deal with it again. The three of them then sat down for dinner, and spoke of the days events.
