The Fury Meets A Furry

The Kitsune's thoughts began to mix a bit as she put the knuckle of her index finger to her lips in thought as she closed her eyes. Her tails swayed showing intense thought occurring within. "Presently a small council resides as the leaders of our clan however unlike our village's Five Elders, they're inadequate to the development of the clan. Right now I would argue that a unified direction of my family would work best due to the issues present in our past currently. They're too set in their old ideologies to see the capacities of the newest generation." She elaborated before her ears twitched upright at the proposal to receive support. Her eyes narrowed as she understood the weight of the words of which the Raikage spoke.

"Should support be garnered to weigh in towards the upheaval of such a clan should not be taken lightly as much as I do wish for some changes to be made. Perhaps something a little more subtle would showcase capacity and merit?" She offered as the idea of direct support would likely be taken ill should the Raikage put forth and commit to proper support. However the idea of a more under-the-table process of recognizing the changes should she be able to make it occur. "Perhaps best would be after such changes occur, a follow-up to discuss my clan's position within the village would be the proper course of such actions would it not Lord Raikage?" She countered recognizing that his support would be best should she prove successful in effectively would be a coup within her clan should a peaceful resolution not occur.

Hikari recognized that her ascent toward clan leadership was not a simple path to be in the most direct sense of the journey ahead of her. If successful, receiving the Raikage's support post such affairs would help establish her as a proper leader in the eyes of those who may wish to reinstate old practices after such a tumultuous occasion. Paying close attention Ichigo's responses from her words would be a good time for her to truly begin her practice of being an advisor and elder in her own right. There would always be moments to act and to be a soldier, and other times where one would need to be a true shinobi and deal with an obstacle in the overall growth of one's goals and objectives.

Curious to find out more about the Kitsune, Ichigo listened attentively and paid close attention to Hikari's explanation as she described the clans's current state of affairs. "So they have grown stagnant, afraid of change". Such a revelation hardly came as a surprise, more often than not would that be the case for those having walked the earth for so long. Refusing to adapt, preferring to keep things as they've been for so many years. "I take it that also means they have no interest or even an idea of how or what is happening in Kumogakure?". Considering the so called council didn't care about the development of their clan, the Raikage expected it to be the same for the village.

Assuming the two of them would further discuss the Kitsune, the Drunken Storm would touch on the subject of potentially aiding Hikari in taking over her clan. "Very well, to be continued" the Raikage replied as the kunoichi preferred a more cautious approach. After all, it would take more than his support to become clan head, the fox' strength had to be her own. "Perhaps learning under the tutelage of one of the Five Elders can be the first step in that direction". Even if he planned on helping the kunoichi to the best of his abilities, Ichigo wanted to make sure she wouldn't lose sight of her growth in the village.

The meeting between Hikari and the Raikage was at this point finalized in her mind. There was plenty to begin working toward for the goals she had in mind. His time was precious and she wished not to take up more than she already had so far with ramblings and other wild thoughts. There was the overall plans and desires she had with regard to Kumogakure no Sato and would do her best to make true those words she had said. Her thoughts were clouded as the question rang into her ears, twitching in recognition of the inquiry. “I believe they have grown as still as a dead bonsai. Their only thoughts are upon the old days and forgotten glory. I doubt they have even spent the time to recognize that I have grown a full inch since I started the academy let alone see my headband past my tails.”

Hikari’s words rang with a mixture of emotions as there she sat taking another sip, her eyes glaring off to the side away from Ichigo. The conversation of her clan was bittersweet as she had gained through unorthodox means a more real family through her sister Minami than anyone that raised her. The clan that raised young kits to be tools to propel the clan was bot one she was supportive of not one that she would let remain in its current trajectory. She finished the glass she had and set it down in an appropriate place next to her as she stood up from her seat. It was a long and extensive conversation from Hikari’s side and perspective as she talked as much as her brain was running at full power to process and comprehend the words and dialogue that just took place. With a bow, Hikari gave a smile towards the Raikage as she picked herself up from the bow. Her form began to shimmer once more changing to that of her normal appearance.

“The next time we meet, I shall provide additional justification through actions and the tutelage to showcase my breadth of knowledge and aptitude.” The young Kitsune declared as a statement versus a hypothetical. She knew what she needed to do and what she needed to accomplish that goal. Her sister was going to hopefully play a crucial role in the green vigor of their clan. it was something that needed to be discussed in length before action was taken, but Hikari’s or focused, not on just her present state of affairs, rather, they looked onward towards the future that she was influencing. Kumogakure had its fair share of elites, soldiers, and naval personnel. She was one of the unique ones that looked for a more sagely role for someone such as herself to fill. She had many ideas in her head, and there was plenty of time to be able to put them to the quill. With that, she waited for any last remarks from Ichigo before tuning around and departing from the office.
