It was another misty and rainy morning in the island and archipelago of Kirigakure, where Izu momochi would wake up once again to prepare for a new day. Today was special tho, and unusual for Izu, as it wasnt neither a training day, nor a mission day. Today, she received her usual letter reminder to sharpen and keep clean her gear, a form and politic that all shinobi of the hidden mist would receive, the village taking well care of their shinobi and their gear, ensuring that the village force as a whole stayed always ready.
The blonde girl herself took always great care of her weapons and gear, but today she would need to do her inventory, and to clean and maintain her gear as a whole. As she casually got dressed and set foot outside to go toward the local blacksmith, the blonde chuunin would kill two birds with one stone, as she also had a large and unique order at the blacksmith, forging herself yet another blade. This time, it would be a bigger project, a large blade made only for herself and her family members, if any still exist. It was designed from the original model of blade from her ancestor, Zabuza Momochi. As she arrived at the smithy, the hyuuga girl stretched to see the smith work the steel, shaping it into the large bar that would be her sword.
''Hey there sir. I see its going good! But today i'm here to get whetstones and maintenance oils for steel. Here's the money.'' Said the girl, her demeanor the same as usual, calm and seeming almost bored. The smith, laughing a bit, handed her the items and exchanged the money without any more words. Without further ado, Izu walked back toward her home with the supplies, ready to clean and maintain her arsenal. As she entered and went into her room, she proceeded to move the carpet and the furniture around to create a large empty space available on the floor to place everything.
Izu was being meticulous, taking great care of her weapons and shinobi gear. At first, she put down her armor on the floor in the top right utmost corner of all the thing she layed down. The armor was made of light weight steel plates hidden under a cloth garment making it a whole body armor both sneaky but solid too. right afterwards, she would open her dimension containing most of her armory and put out objects after object. The next thing to follow was her two senbon swords, 5ft long giant needles with steel wires tied to each one. Immediately after pulling both of them, Izu sat down on a small wooden chair and started to check with the tip of the needle and her index fingers if the sharpness of them was perfect, without any flaw and able to pierce anything.
The prickly pointy end of them were quite sharp, but the blonde girl felt they could be even more sharp. With the whetstone and a bucked of cold sea water, Izu humidified the stone and started to pass the needle point on it, refining the sharp point end until it was perfect. After a few motions on the stone, she tested the estoc weapons again, and this time the point broke trough her skin instantly, creating a little droplet of blood running down her finger and palm. With a faint smile, satisfied of her work, Izu gently dropped the needles and continued. The third item to get out would be her two complex arms mechanism, endless reels rigged with hundreds of feet of steel wire, sharp and thin, but solid as spider web. The reels were well maintained and kept clean, but as always to ensure a without flaw functioning, Izu started to work on them. At first, she removed the cap of th reel themselves, removing the hoops of wire to access the actual mechanism, and poured steel mineral oil into it, ensuring it was greased enough to not rust but also to stay well lubed up and not jamming. With those set, Izu would move toward the next set of items. Pulling again something from her pocket dimension, izu this time wielded an umbrella with hidden cardridges inside of it. Along this unusual weapon, the hyuuga pulled a large bundle of about 200 senbons all tied in a pack with a large ribbon around them. Too small to inspect with her normal sight, Izu would focus and activate her byakugans, peering now with true sight and precice vision, able to see the micro grain of steel that composed the points of the needles. Thankfully, those needles were never shot, so upon close inspection, they were already flawless and sharp as ever, brand new. The umbrela had been used once in a spar, and once again, Izu would empty its mechanism to oil it well with mineral weapon oil, before inspecting the senbons and the cartridge themsleves, making sure everything was in working order, before assembling it again, filling each compartment with the maximum amount of needles allowed. The rest of her gear were too, mechanically based weapons, and so she pulled them out of her wooden chest, these usually never in her dimension, but rather stored with the rest of her gear. The remaining were the two chained gauntlets, exclusive to kirigakure. Without waiting more, izu releace the inner glove trigger for the barrel to release the serated chain, pulling it out slowly of the round barrel around the base of the gauntlets. With oil again, she made sure the mechanism was well oiled and not squeaky, nor rusted. The whetstone was also passed along the edge of the chain spikes, sharpening them to be razor sharp. After all, Izu had used them up in training against dummies, chopping them off into bits with her chain meteor technique.
With all of her gear acounted for and maintained, Izu would look at the floor covered in weapons, litteraly an armory on display now sharpened, maintained and oiled, ready to act and be used in combat, and be proud of herself, of how she did a job well done.
