Shinji's Brazen Arrival
Wed Mar 20, 2024 6:52 am
Outsiders. Invaders. A plague on this island that only took what they wanted and enforced their rules and laws on a people who were here long before anyone else had even known about the existence of the island.
Shinji hated Outsiders, there had not been a positive interaction with them for many years unless you include the ones smart enough to hop back on their boats and go back to where they came after they traded with the natives that were willing to interact with them.
Shinji’s own tribe only did so when the need was great otherwise they only traded with those like them, through the grape vine rumors of new settlers had arose, another group of shinobi’s that decided that they would take the land from those it belonged to and enforce their rules and such on the people here.
This was something that Shinji wouldn’t stand for, he was no king, he had no army or great strength but that didn’t mean he would simply allow someone to come here and take what wasn’t theirs. He made his journey to this new settlement that sprouted up near some places that were very important to his people. Large walls blocked his way but they would not deter him from confronting those who didn’t belong here.
Shinji found the “gate” of the imposing walls and ignored the line there of those awaiting entry into the settlement, after all he was a native of this island only those who were criminals had their freedoms restricted like those who waited in line. He was no criminal so he did not wait and continued his purposeful stride towards the gate and he would continue to do so unless someone thought to stop him.

Kitsu had been asked to watch over the gates by his fellow clone Sakoshi. He didn't particularly care for most of this charade, but he was tasked with a job so he was going to complete it to the best of his ability. There was already a line, but with Sakoshi reading the minds of the majority, he was allowing his to see them, while he sought out any special cases.
To his delight there was such a case that came rather quickly. Someone who looked like a local to a tribe deep within the islands. He made this assumption due to his fish out of water nature. His walk made him seem that he owned the land he stepped upon and his face told of a man that seemed to have the same hatred that he had over the village's construction.
His gait was sure-footed and his confidence was filled to the brim, as was his trepidation for such a sight that was the village's walls and the gate that he now approached. Kitsu would stop the man as he was close enough, his bow was slug over his shoulders, and his arrows were neatly tucked into his armor's seals so he wouldn't come off as aggressive.
"You seem like a man who knows where he wants to go. Tell me. What is your goal here in the village? I can see that you are a man who has lived on the island a while, it may be an assumption, but it is based on a few rather telling triggers. How about we sit a minute and speak on what your aim is here?" He would motion for a table that was shaded with various trees and what the walls itself. Should he accept his offer, then he would sit with the man and speak with him.
Should the man not accept it, then he would send out a transmission with his Telepathy seal that there may be trouble already at the gates and deescalate in any way he could.

Great someone to try and stop him. A white haired outsider, Shinji kept the sneer of his face. While he didn’t trust or like outsiders it didn’t mean he couldn’t be civil. The man told him how he could tell he was a native and was wondering what Shinji’s goal of being here at the village and offered a place for them to discuss. A rash thought of simply ignoring this person crossed Shinji’s mind and he was very close to considering it and implementing the decision but that would simply bring down the look of the people of the island if he just did whatever he wanted even though he had more than the right to do so.
“Fine Outsider we will have a discussion.” He said with a cold but civil tone. He remained standing in the shade, he wished to get this over with quickly so that he may speak with whoever the leader of the village was and figure out if they were here with good intentions which in his mind he highly doubted it. Nothing good comes from outsiders most of the time even more so when they just take land that isn’t theirs.
“I’m here to speak with your leader, Outsider.” He would say answering the question about what his goal was as he stared at the man.

Kitsu would see the man was at least amenable to his request, which he appreciated. But of course the man seemed to have a question on his mind. Maybe it was the same question that he had when he had first heard that they were going to make the village. Did the spirits of the forest send him someone of like-minds? Was this truly someone that could help him dismantle the wretched Junko and stop her assassination of the village's surroundings? Possibly. The more likely option is that the island had produced yet another angry soul. Furious as to what they were doing by slapping another village on this beautiful landscape, similar to that of old Tengakure.
He would sit at the table in the shade, while his fellow conversationalist would stand. Kitsu enjoyed the sight of the man, rather rugged with beautifully toned skin. He reveled in the moment that this local would agree to speak with him, even if it was with a cold tone. To be quite honest he would have been fine if he had ignored him. It would have been a good bit of target practice with this bow of his. He had killed plenty of men with it, but to do so as an example to everyone else that decided to ignore him? That would be a treat for him absolutely.
But alas, he was part of this damned village now, so he was going to have promote the good image that he was tasked with promoting. This was even if he believed them all to be full of crap anyway. As he pushed the thoughts aside for a moment, he looked to the local as he stated that he wanted to speak with their leader. "A local wanting to speak with Junko? Not very surprising." He would think to himself. But would he allow such a thing off the bat? Surely not. First, he wanted to have his fun, then Junko could speak with him.
"I understand that you wish to speak with the leader," He would begin. "But unfortunately there are a few bits of protocol to get through first. You see I for one take the security of this place rather seriously, and while you don't look like a criminal to me, as a matter of fact I would say we would be the criminals to your people, I still must defend what we have. I hope this is acceptable to you." He would lift his left leg and cross it over his right as he continued to look into the man's eyes.
"Now you strike me as a local, something I had said before. If I had to guess, you wanted to speak to the leader to ask one of two questions: Firstly, whether or not we are good people, unlike those that ran Tengakure before us. Second, what the hell we are doing with your lands and why we make a mockery of what this island and the spirits within are trying to produce. Being paradise." He would take his bow off his shoulders and place it on the table before him.
"I believe both are good questions. Both of which I can assure you you'll likely get a flowery answer from the woman in the tower. But if you want a serious and true answer, then I believe I am the man you want to speak with." He leaned forward in his seat, placing his left foot back on the ground, leaning closer he would speak again, "Now ask away." A smile would creep over his face. But unlike his general off putting demeanor, he would exchange it for a more subtle tone, wishing to befriend this local, rather than intimidate him.

After a marvelous tea party where both this newcomer and Kitsu sipped tea and had a marvelous conversation, he decided that he would warn Junko via the telepathy seal with Ren that he was bringing a guest to her chambers. This one seemed to have something he needed to say to the leader and it was a chance to possibly grow a friend in his despising of Junko. So it was a win-win for him. He guided the local to the Kage tower, where they could have a good conversation about everything.
