Seikatsu (E-Rank)
Thu Jul 11, 2024 8:54 am
Basic Information
Age: 15
Birthday: March 16th
Gender: Male
Height: 6’2
Weight: 165
Appearance: As a young man - Seikatsu has a tall but slender build. He's likely a little more muscular than you might expect, if you're just looking at him with his slightly baggy clothes on. Years of malnutrition has seemingly harmed a lot of the muscle growth that he could have had. His body is very much balanced, essentially not having an elongated torso or legs that run up to his neck. Proportionate would be an appropriate word to use. His skin is pale and for the most part is very clear and clean, something that Seikatsu started to take pride in when he realized how important it was to look good. People treated you differently when you looked like you belonged... or at least didn't look like you had been diving in the dumpster out back.
Seikatsu had a face that reminded you of reverence - mostly it was due to the sharp jawline and the deep blue eyes that could entrance anyone. His smile wasn't bad either. In fact - from a physical standpoint, a lot of people would say that Seikatsu had the ideal body and look - and he likely wasn't going to be without hair for quite a long time. His luscious black hair surrounded his head, working down towards his shoulders on the backside. He liked it long because he could style it just about any way he chose, or just let it dangle and blow in the wind.
Covering up his body, Seikatsu enjoyed a white shirt that seemed to be more of a v-neck with a small collar. Over that would be a deep blue over coat with an extremely light grey hue, the same color as his eyes. The trim of the coat was light black or a medium grey - which extended up to the upright collar. The pants that Seikatsu had decided on were the same color as the trim of his coat and looked like the traditional pants that most shinobi would wear, they reached down to the lower part of his shin and were tucked into the dark grey sandal he liked.
Seikatsu had just a couple of accessories that he wore for the most part - both of them came from some trash that he was raiding many years back. It was a pair of earings that were more the color of his eyes and a necklace that matched He never knew their worth but he enjoyed them and thought they made him look just a bit fancy.
Personality: Seikatsu’s personality borders the lines of mysterious and confusing, along with an unpredictable nature. He often exhibits a sense of detachment and aloofness, which can make him seem untrustworthy and enigmatic. For most of his life he has only ever needed to prioritize his own needs, and so he can come across as selfish or vain. For the most part - his moral compass is constantly spinning - never landing on doing the right thing or the complete wrong thing. He ultimately does what he feels is in his best interest. Despite saying all of that - Seikatsu is a rather courageous individual and is not afraid to get mixed up into something that could be difficult or complex.
His good looks allow him to seamlessly blend into various situations, often deceiving others into perceiving him as kind and innocent. He can skillfully use his charm to manipulate social interactions to his advantage. His solitary upbringing has forged a tough and resilient exterior that is difficult to penetrate, making him appear emotionally impenetrable. Beneath this hardened shell, however, lies a keen observer who constantly evaluates the dynamics around him. This complexity adds layers to his enigmatic persona, making him both intriguing and unpredictable.
Seikatsu’s unpredictability can frustrate those around him and hinder his learning. Despite his enigmatic nature, he aspires to become a shinobi, driven by a hunger for power stemming from his past. Witnessing strong individuals achieve great things has inspired him, believing that gaining strength might help him overcome his loneliness. His complex personality makes this ambition seem odd, yet it underscores his deep yearning for connection and purpose.

History:
- The Beginning:
- Fifteen years ago to the day - a young father had dropped off a boy at an unnamed orphanage in a land that was scarce. The boy couldn’t have been more than a few days old at this point and was wrapped in a blanket with what looked to be a spider web emblem attached to it. The man who had dropped him off - didn’t say much. Tears streamed as he handed the boy to who he presumed was the head of this rundown orphanage. The few words that the man had said didn’t even include the name of the young boy - it was that his mother had passed away days after giving birth and that he could and would not take care of him. There were a few other belongings that he dropped off - none of which was any business to the orphanage and so they would keep them for the boy.
As the days passed - the caretakers of these children thought to themselves, it was up to them to provide a name. They struggled to come up with something fitting until one lady said this - “Life and Death”. The baby had experienced so much already whether he knew it or not and so from that point on - he was known as Seikatsu. He was given life… but brought death. It was cruelty from the caretakers' part - but they weren’t wonderful people by any means. Over the next few years, Seikatsu would grow to know that. Oftentimes becoming malnourished or being whipped when he was ultimately just a toddler - not knowing the difference from right or wrong. Because of this - he had no love and didn’t understand what that was. It was the same with all of the kids this orphanage had taken in.
As Seikatsu grew a little older - he began to realize what was happening to some of the kids that were there. He was an intelligent young man - maybe a little too observant at times as well. He understood that the women at the orphanage were often profiting off the babies - selling them to high bidders that would not bring them a better life. Seikatsu wasn’t old enough or strong enough to do anything at this point and so he would often cause a commotion or a ruckus when it was time to put the children up for bids. It helped him stay at the orphanage - where it was at least the devil he knew.
- Middle Years:
- When Seikatsu reached about eight years old - he had decided that he had enough and would make a run for it. It wasn’t the life he wanted and he didn’t care if he couldn’t make it on his own. Anything was better than dealing with those women or possibly being sold off for god knows what. His upbringing and education were so awful, he didn’t even know what land he was in at the time. He just knew that he was surrounded by forests and he had to get away.
One night - he had picked an herb that he had thought the ladies used to help them sleep after drinking it. Carefully grinding and placing quite a bit of it in their drinks, hoping it would at the very least knock them out. When he was sure they wouldn’t wake - he grabbed the few belongings that he had and headed out the front door. Never looking back. Unbeknownst to Seikatsu - he had just killed four women. Four women that for years had potentially destroyed the lives of promising young children by selling them off to slavery… or potentially something worse.
The days and nights started to blend together for Seikatsu as he traveled as far east as he could. He stumbled upon a little village eventually, where he was able to find a bit of shelter eventually. His new home for the next bit, though it wasn’t sunshine and rainbows. This town - this village was just as poor as the last. He had to resort to thievery or dumpster diving to find any food or drink that he could. Survival was Seikatsu’s only thought, and with his minimal education at the orphanage, it proved to be difficult. Many times he found himself going days or weeks without food.
One night as he laid under the tiny tent he had created for himself - he witnessed some individuals come into that town, acting as if they owned it and terrorizing many. Compared to others - they were powerful and strong and ultimately, they got what they wanted. It was the first time that Seikatsu had seen real strength from someone - whether they used it for good or bad - and it mesmerized him. From that point on - he made a point to notice any strong person - and almost always - they wore a headband on their body somewhere. He wanted it and he needed to understand how to get it. Seikatsu packed up the few things he had from the orphanage and moved out. Searching on how to receive this power.
- Present Day:
- For years, the young boy traveled down a winding and grueling path. Never having the easy way - mostly continued to pursue thievery to obtain clothing items or food of any sort. At least - that was until he had stumbled upon a small island to the west of the Land of Moon. Seikatsu had met a fisherman that caught him stealing and instead of scolding him or lashing him - he consoled him and taught him. The fishermans name was Eiji and he was a godsend to Seikatsu - though because of the damage, it was never easy for him to open up. With the help of Mr. Eiji - Seikatsu had come to understand life - and finally learn the things he should have been doing all along. Reading, writing, language, the world, how things worked, what was life about, and lastly - who shinobi were.
Seikatsu didn't so much care about being a ninja after meeting Mr. Eiji - he wanted to continue to learn from him and do what he did. For the first time in all of his years, Seikatsu had known love. It scared him at first, but it was always nice and it was always comforting. He had even began to open up to Eiji. The world could be a cruel and unforgiving place unfortunately. Mr. Eiji was found dead by Seikatsu, slashed open from his chest down to his mid-section. It wasn’t painless, to Mr. Eiji or Seikatsu. Cries could be heard from the island and across the water. Tears of emotional pain and hate for the world filled Seikatsu. They flowed uncontrollably - the same with his screams. It felt like this was all he could do for days. Until he had enough one day - making a decision to once again become strong, so that he could have the things that he wanted in this world. He set sail for the land of moon - remember what Mr. Eiji had told him about the shinobi. Once arriving - he would then join the village there. Mr. Eiji had told him that it was called Tsukigakure and while it wasn’t one of the world's major villages currently, it was a place that seemed to be growing. Seikatsu wanted to use this growth for his own personal reasons, and so as he stepped in front of the gates of the village - Seikatsu found himself with an opportunity.
A new life - a new mission - and a thirst for power…
