Coffee and Otokage, Part 4 [P]

Quinn settled quite nicely into the office of the Otokage and the Otokage Mansion. It was a change of pace for sure but a busy one as they had pulled from the vault the scrolls encasing all of the secrets within Otogakure. They had begun a loose dismantling of the village and adjusted business exports to prioritize the movement of goods out of the village rather than stockpiling and preparing for the incoming winter in a few months. It was clear there was something stirring since Quinn had assumed the role of Otokage but surely no one anticipated the intent to relocate the village and the shinobi force to another land. The intended destination was a Land that resided on the continent of Ninji but one that was kept secret except for a few who were helping lead the group toward their new home. It was an exodus similar to one from Sunagakure in the Land of Wind to the now village of Otogakure within the Land of Sky. Quinn wasn't the happiest at the decision but with advisors discussing the possible issues of Kaito going missing, it was time to act and to act fast before more problems came knocking on the gates of Otogakure. As the now Otokage, Quinn would be one of the last to depart from the village but they needed the remaining Master of Otogakure to converse about their travel plans. Thus they waited patiently for such a magnanimous individual to make their spectacular appearance.

With both hands tucked away in his pockets, Sebastian made his way to the Otokage Mansion, a place he had not visited in quite some time considering Kaito had been nowhere to be seen for a couple of months now. "Should've just done it myself" the Tau mumbled as he kicked an imaginary rock. Oh well, no use crying over spilt milk. Repeating the same motion from earlier, the remaining Master of Sound stretched out his leg, effectively kicking the door open before entering the room. Making his entrance, it was there where he noticed Quinn, looking over some scrolls. "I see you remembered I know how to read" the Berserker bragged. "So, why did you call me here?". It wasn't exactly rocket science to figure out the reason of their meeting, but still, it would be good knowing how they planned to move forward.

As the door to their office was promptly kicked open, Quinn turned their attention to one of the last few companions within the village, one who they headed to and knew the sage advice would be flowing from at any moment in time. When commenting on his reading comprehension, Quinn nodded in acknowledgment of Sebastian's astute awareness of the issues and woes that plagued the Forgemaster. As such Quinn separated half of the scrolls that they had taken from the village's vaults into a pile closer to Sebastian. "We're moving. High chance Otogakure is not safe." They said with no adjustment to tone. Their eyes showed bags, their shoulders were haggard and their normal stoic appearance was beaten.

"As much as rocks fly. I do not foresee moving the village. We as shinobi must move ourselves." They said as an aid scurried in past Sebastian and back out grabbing items from the office. "In this scroll." They stated holding one up in particular, "My instructions." They said before handing it to the remaining, and currently only, Master of Otogakure. The scroll was simple and plain, outlined minimally by the writer who put it to ink. It had a destination in mind to the West of the Land of Fire, it also included a simple instruction to Sebastian, 'Take care of stragglers.' Quinn waited to see the Tau to read the scroll before giving a deep sigh. "We must secure others. I am focused here." They said gesturing around the room. "I do not have the time. Find all those who wander. Make sure we can keep them safe." They said before standing up.

"This is the bigger priority though." Stating this, the Forgemaster gestured at the scrolls on the table. "Our secrets. Your secrets. The ones you all brought." They indicated at the piles. The village's elements, skills, and techniques were across the desk. "With the move. Felt best to separate. Just in case." They said before stocking up half of the scrolls and leaving the rest for Sebastian to carry. "You have your destination. Take these. Make Haste." They said without much strain in their voice as they picked up their stack and began to leave the mansion. Another aid came in to remove the rest of the secrets, records of their rosters, ongoings of the village, and actions that were taken, leaving Sebastian with his half to escort.

Otogakure was not safe? Sebastian knew he had quite the temper sometimes but he didn't think it was that bad. With no time to clear up any misunderstandings, Quinn informed the Tau that they were moving. "If the village won't move, I will". Ah yes, ever the poet. The Berserker accepted the scroll, making a mental note of the instructions as he read them. It appeared there was a final task, a burden so heavy only the Master of Sound could bear it. Soon, the former rogue would have to leave the room and protect the ones who remained, but for now there was a matter even more urgent.

He would look at the scrolls on the table before collecting them, keeping the secrets safe and out of anyone else's hands. "Very well, I'll see you soon". Sebastian gave a final nod, taking the necessities with him as he exited the chambers.
