Tenacious Tenizen Vs the Brilliant Berserker!

Loud bangs and clanging echoed from the training facility. The noises sounded hectic, a lot of activity was taking place as young Tenizen worked tirelessly on his makeshift lemonade stand. He bounced back and forth as he put the finishing touches on and positioned it right in front of the facility entrance. It wasn’t lemonade he was selling today unfortunately, it was a challenge to anybody who entered this place! Ten had not received any proper combat experiences since joining Kiri and quite frankly he had enough. His skills as an assassin and instincts as a warrior were starting to whittle away in this new and more peaceful life he was living.

Since Tenizen didn't really know anybody, his ten year old self came up with his own way to meet new people. The young swordsman put the last few paint strokes on the banner he was making and tacked it to his flimsy stand. Once he was satisfied with the presentation he wiped his hands on his black Ronin Robes and took a step back to read and admire his work with a childish grin exploding across his face!

The banner was crudely drawn and matched what you would expect out of a ten year old. He was a swordsman and not an artist after all! He stood patiently in front of his stand as the first couple waves of people entered. Most laughed and giggled when they saw him posted up in front of his stand. None of them were taking him seriously. It took nearly two hours of standing around and a dozen people passing by before Ten got his first real bite of interest. It was a tall muscular gentleman with long flowing blonde hair. He had the frame of a bodybuilder and the look of someone who knew their way around an underground boxing circuit or two!

Hey kid is this some kind of joke? Are those prizes legit? I’d feel bad beating up some little pipsqueak but money is money. You better not be busting my balls brat and pay up when you lose!

Tenizen wasn’t particularly fond of this challenger. His aura just screamed pretentious and self centered! Tenizen grabbed one katana by its sheath with his left hand and simultaneously motioned his challenger to do the same. The man looked at them nervously before walking over and retrieving one for himself.

This is no joke. If you beat me you can keep that sword you're holding and the money is all yours. Now we can begin whenever you are ready!

The man looked at his sword a little apprehensive before shrugging it off and replacing it with a more condescending look. He swished the air a few times before raising it and pointing it at Tenizen. Tenizen could tell just by the way he held the sword that he was unaccustomed to fighting with weapons. Knowing this, the boy slowly walked forward to close the distance between them at a snail's place.

The man looked a little unsettled as the boy approached but he tried to not let it be noticeable. When Tenizen got within striking range the behemoth swung a powerful horizontal strike at Ten's chest. It had plenty of power but lacked speed and technique. Tenizen very gracefully ducked under it, remaining completely cool and calm while he did. The failed attack flew harmlessly over his head  and his opponent's moment carried him forward until he nearly leaned directly over Tenizen.

While Ten evaded he smoothly flicked his own katana straight up into the air and out of its sheath. The handle of the blade shot straight up and collided with his opponent's chin. The force of it caused the man’s neck to snap backwards and his eyes rolled towards the back of his head. The two stood stuck in that position for a moment until Ten returned his blade to its sheathe. The sound of the man falling limp on the ground and the click Tenizens sword made upon returning to its sheathe echoed out in unison across the training facility.

A few people had gathered around to watch the spectacle. Many of them were pointing and laughing at the unconscious man. Ten found it funny and made a mental note to make sure the man held up his end of the deal for losing! When the snickering settled down Tenizen leaned against the side of his stand and spoke out to the crowd in a challenging tone!

It was a beautiful day outside. The birds were singing, the sun was shining, and Kaimera didn't give a damn. He was too busy with a corpse. Some job, eh? Kaimera put his hands down onto the table; his gloves stuck to the cold surface as he tapped his fingers to the beat of the song playing from an office across the hall. The morgue was an uncommonly quiet place and so the usually annoying shoujo anime openings were rather pleasant from the unseen radio as he looked down into the chest cavity of the woman from room 103; an oddity to see and feel something so cold while his own was functioning. The basement area of Kirigakure Hospital reminded Kaimera of catacombs. Dank, dark, and overall creepy. Considering that he hated dead bodies, it's impressive the profession he's in.

The part he disliked the most about working in the morgue was the moment before deciding if he needed to open the person up if their death was suspicious, or straightforward. Then of course if he did, he'd have to put them all back - the organs. Honestly, Kaimera didn't know why people didn't sign themselves up for being a donor, or why families even wanted to bury their loved ones with everything intact. Kaimera knew what happened to bodies that were buried: nothing. The bodies took up space in the earth that people didn't even have the decency to think about, purely because they wanted to stand above something, not just see a grave.

Looking up at the clock that was positioned high on the north wall, it read 8:53. Good. His shift was basically over, which he was thankful for. Closing the bag that the dead woman was in, he put her back into her freezer compartment. A sigh of relief left his lips as he exited the morgue and headed up the stairs towards the south to exit the building.

It was a rather lovely day for being towards the end of summer. The wind was calm and light with the sun far off in the distance and painted the sky in blues and oranges. The frequent clouds hung overhead, some bearing more weight than others. Every so often, Kaimera could hear the sound of birds chirping in the distance over the trickling creek nearby. The temperature was cool, not too cold and not too hot. With that, he took off down the gravel path with a destination in mind, his home.

After a while, he passed small buildings here and there with very few people passing by. The next building that came into his ocular field of vision was the famous advance training facility that Kirigakure had built a while back. He could hear the faint sound fighting over the air. Must be a couple people training. Perhaps newly appointed genin with their squads. A hint of jealousy began to circulate within him as for that is something he wished he could have experienced. Disappearance, mystery, and busyness took a foothold within that time that those things could have happened. While he liked to blame others for those unfortunate circumstances, there really wasn’t anyone to blame for it. Sometimes, Kaimera is too childish for his own good.

Continuing on his trajectory, he slowly passed the entrance where he noticed a small group assembled around a scene inside that he must have missed. Uproarious laughter came from this group, which made Kaimera intrigued by what had happened. Walking towards the group, he noticed a makeshift stand at the entrance that signaled onlooking to take part in a battle against a ten-year-old with rules regarding this type of battle following suit. ‘Interesting,’ Kaimera thought as he pushed past a few of the onlookers to gaze upon the scene before him.

A large man with long blond hair was sprawled out on the ground. Kaimera saw no major injuries which indicated that he must have been knocked unconscious. Turning his gaze back towards the makeshift stand, he saw the youngling standing there and questioning the group who was next. Such a small child with the ability to overpower a grown man, he must have a decent amount of skill and technique to accomplish that feat. 

Looking back down at the man, he gave an exasperated sigh as he lifted him up, carried his limp body over to the wall and placed him in a sitting position. Studying his features closely, he saw a welp begin to form over his chin. Must be the place of impact that knocked him unconscious. Nothing serious, therefore, he doesn’t require medical attention. Turning away from him, he looked upon the child once more and noticed that no one had taken him up on his offer. A smile formed over Kaimera’s mouth as he made his way over to the child.

“I’ll take you on,” Kaimera spoke out as his velvet-like voice resonated within the area around them. Still grinning he continued on, “but do not worry, I will heal after the match. Of course, free of charge.” His gentle smile turned slyer as the seconds went on. “Oh, and just because you are a child. Do not think I will underestimate you. So, I am ready when you are.”

Tenizen batted a side eye as his most recent victim was escorted to the sidelines by a new arrival. Tenizen kicked back against his stand with arms folded across his chest, still holding the katana in his left hand and watched as his last opponent was being looked over. His interest immediately became piqued upon the new arrival. His sense for battle was starting to itch like no other. A feeling of respect came over Ten at looking at the multi-colored hair man in front of him. Those with power tend to radiate in an unseen way that those without just can't mimic. Whoever was now standing before Tenizen radiated that same way!

Who is this guy? This guy is no joke, something is telling me I should not underestimate him! Is he one of my superiors? What rank is he? I have a bad feeling in my gut and my skin is starting to tingle. I feel almost…intimidated! What is going on right now?

The air grew still and thick as the tension around the crowd of people began to grow and whisper amongst themselves. A few backed away nervously or straight left altogether. Tenizen became more cognizant of the crowd now . If this fight went the way he thought it was going to, then they would have to stay well out of the way. Ten stood up from the stand he was leaning on and straightened his posture. He grabbed another one of the blades off of his stand, something told him he was going to need more than one.

Alright now we're talking!Everybody who values their lives should probably leave or at the minimum stay by the door! I won't be responsible for anybody who gets caught in the crossfire!

Tenizen began to walk away from his stand and the onlookers. His feet passed across the hard dirt and scattered patches of grass at a steady pace. He stopped when he was about fifty meters directly north of the entrance and the crowd. He attached the sheath of the Two Katanas he was holding to each hip using the cloth belt of his ronin robes. With his left hand he drew the katana from his right hip and vice versa. He spun both swords around a few times to loosen up his wrists. While he walked he used his Chakra Suppression skill to erase his signature from all but the best sensory types. When he felt like he was a good distance away from the people he turned to face his next challenge with a determined expression. He had to speak kind of loud for his voice to carry so far causing it to be even more high pitched than usual.

You honor me sir! My name is Sarutobi Tenizen and it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Feel free to grab one of those swords on that stand if you want. I don't really care what you use, but I'm personally a man of the blade. I'd feel bad attacking an unarmed person without at least giving them the option to arm themself. If you're confident you can heal yourself then warn you that I won't hold back with my strikes. Once you're ready, come forward until you're about halfway between me and the door. We can properly start this contest then!

Tenizen would motion first to the five swords displayed on his shack, and then he would indicate a good starting point for him to stand at nearly exactly between him and the entrance about 25 meters away. When Kaimera would signal in any way that he was ready for the match to begin, Tenizen would charge forward immediately at full speed (150). He would infuse chakra into his blades while he ran to activate his Samurai Sabre technique. With his infused blades he would extend the range of his swords by an extra meter so even if he missed with the initial blade he may still do damage with the chakra extension. His overall cutting power and weapon durability (+50/+ 70 now) was increased also (+20). Tenizen would attempt to bring the sword in his left hand straight down on Kaimera’s head with an impact force of 95. His right sword would stay at about hip height and extended slightly out at above a fourty five degree angle and ready to counter if needed.

As this child fixed his posture while collecting a few swords, Kaimera's eyes stared off in the sunlight. He hasn't been here in so long. What is it now? A year? The time seemed to pass by so effortlessly since his last fight time he trained here. Now here he was, once again, but this time, he is about to compete in some friendly competition with someone from the Sarutobi Clan. Kaimera put a great deal of respect on individuals who strive to be shinobi, especially those who start from a young age.

A chuckle escaped his lips as Tenizen announced to the crowd that they should leave if they value one ounce of the mediocre lives. Shaking his head, he announced to Tenizen, “I’m just a lowly medical ninja. There’s nothing dangerous and destructive about me.” A small lie escaped his lips. Now, Kaimera isn’t the one to normally lie, but if this were a real fight with an enemy ninja, Tenizen will have to learn to adapt to whatever surprises are thrown at him. It is almost as if this was a subtle hint for him to learn when he eventually runs into an enemy.

Kaimera watched as the individuals that inhabit this place began to scurry around, some leaving and some moving further away to watch as the scene unfolded before them, albeit they were nosy and just intrigued. Focusing his attention upon Tenizen as he began to speak, he listened to the words that slipped from his mouth. A laugh escaped from his lips as the youngster called him sir and proceeded to offer him a weapon. ‘How considerate,’ he thought to himself as the child carried on.

“Sir? How polite of you, but I am only sixteen as of right now,” he said as his gentle smile returned. “But thank you for the offer of the weapon. But I have no need for a weapon as I do not excel in weaponry like my sensei and comrades,” Kaimera spoke as a pang of sadness hit his chest with the remembrance of Jay, “well, comrade.” He said, smiling through the pain. “Although, my areas of expertise lie somewhere else.” He finished as his body began to flood with chakra (Chakra Enhanced Strength +50/+50 to Vigor/Chakra) before moving to his position - 25 meters in front of Tenizen and 25 meters from the door.

“Oh, and the name is Yakedo, Kaimera and I am ready,” he said. Immediately Tenizen took off in a sprint towards him as Kaimera activated his Kashogan and began performing the hand signs: Tiger > Horse > Rat > Rabbit > Dog with Tenizen moving towards him 3 meters for every hand sign which means he is 7 meters away from Kaimera. His right hand is covered with chakra while he swings his arm around as Tenizen is 6 meters away. A spray of 250 chakra needles leaves his hand and shoots out at 180-degree angle with a speed and power of 105. Whether the needles hit or not, he would perform the hand sign: Ram and travel back 12.5 meters at a speed of 235.

Tenizen ran forward, when he approached he saw the hand seals begin to form from Kaimera. Ten saw his opponent's hand start to rise and he knew something bad was about to happen. The child swordsman inhaled a massive amount of air in preparation to counter with his Total Concentration Breathing that adds (+50) speed/chakra. The oxygen pumped all through his body and increased his physical capabilities and chakra levels. With his increased speed and strength he went to work. Tenizen started by dropping as low to the ground as possible while still running forward. He wanted to provide as little surface area to target as possible. Tenizen took the sword in his right hand and placed the handle in his mouth with the blade hanging out the left side of his mouth. At the same time he did this he flipped the sword in his left hand into the joint of his elbow so that the blade was sticking out of the right side body. Using his Way of the Seven Stinging Swordsstyle and small size, Tenizen would deflect the senbon with a speed of (200) and an impact force of (120) thanks to his samurai saber infusion. He would push through the attack with the blade in his mouth and the one in his right elbow joint, both were rapidly flying through the air to deflect the incoming senbon and to avoid getting turned into a pin cushion.

While Kaimera made his retreat backwards, Ten came to a sliding stop where his opponent had previously been standing. When Kaimera would reappear from his body flicker (12.5) meters away, Tenizen would step forward a couple meters until he was about (9) meters away from Kaimera’s new location. Once he reached this range he would swing the blade in his mouth upwards in an arc type motion Way of the Seven Stinging Swords to perform Second Form: Rising Scorching Sun. A small flame traced the motion of the blade and began to expand in size wildly as it traveled forward at a speed of (110). The ring of flame would start with a diameter of (2)meters and would expand in diameter until it was a total of (10) meters. Once it hit full size the technique would continue to travel out to its maximum range of (20) meters. The width of the flame ring would be proportional to exactly half the diameter at all times. The application of his Samurai Sabre Infusion increased the base power of his attack by (+20) making its total power (130.) The full range of the attack would carry it to within 1 (meter of the door and those few who remained around it.

The roaring flames expanding in front of Ten and behind him would quickly grow large enough to obscure Tenizen’s small frame from view. At that moment he would begin making the tiger-horse-ram-clone seal. It was a little awkward with one sword in his mouth and the other pinched between his elbow, but it was definitely still doable. Two Shadow Clones appeared next to Tenizen, one directly in front of him and one directly behind him. The two clones would then dart out on either side of the flame ring. Each would have to jump about (3) meters to clear the maximum width of the flame ring. Once they were clear of the flame they would start charging forward at a speed of (150) with the same sword elbow combination of the seven stinging swords that the original Tenizen was using. They wouldn’t attack yet, just rapidly begin to close the distance until whatever happens with the flames is resolved. The real Tenizen would deactivate his Total Concentration Breathing and try to stay out of sight and hidden until the flames fizzled away.

As Kaimera came to his destination, he started to perform another set of hand signs: Hare -> Monkey -> Ram -> Dog, while Tenizen made his way forward. Kaimera watched as Tenizen swung his sword from his mouth upward, flames began to swirl and expand towards Kaimera as he finished his last hand sign. Water begins to cascade out of Kaimera’s mouth which raises him up 15 meters in the air and expands outward as crushing waves at a power and speed of 130. The water and fire elements meet in a clash (110<130), but due to water being the superior element to fire, Second Form: Rising Scorching Sun takes a -25 penalty (110>105) in power which allows for Water Release: Exploding Water Colliding Wave to push through the flames and continue expanding outward until reaching maximum distance of 10 meters.

Still standing at the 15-meter height, Kaimera began to perform hand signs: Tiger -> Rat ->Dragon -> Boar -> Ox -> Monkey, and begin forming orb of scorch release chakra 10 meters away from him at a diagonal slope, aiming it at Tenizen, albeit he moved or is still creating shadow clones. The sphere expands at a speed and power of 125 until it reaches 25 meters in diameter. There, he would fire the gigantic sphere at Tenizen which would travel 7 meters. Should he move out of the way of the initial impact, Kaimera would detonate the sphere, causing the area to be consumed in a 21.5 meters blast zone.

Things were not going as Tenizen was hoping they would. Even with his superior speed, he was getting nowhere fast. When he flung up his flame breathing attack just now it was quickly met with heavy resistance. Even though Tenizen’s was the stronger attack, the elemental disadvantage of going against water cost him dearly in this clash! His fire ring technique struggled for a minute as the two attacks collided, steam started filling the area from the fire and water attacks fused head on. Tenizen was just barely able to summon his two clones before the wall of water was barreling down on them. Thankfully his hand seal speed was superior in this battle and he was still able to get the jutsu off in time with a moment or two to spare.  His freshly formed clone (A)  spawned directly in front of the original and was quick to act! Clone (A)  inhaled a bunch of air and mixed the incoming oxygen with earth chakra and pumped it straight into his weapon, which quickly became encased in a thin layer of stone about (15) centimeters thick.

Clone (A) would try to flip the stone sword straight up and out of his mouth while catching it with both hands directly over his head. When the wave got within striking distance, Tenizen brought the blade down in one furious downward slash directly at the rushing water. The stone encasing his sword would nearly double in size as it clashed with the water jutsu. The power and weight behind Tens stone breathing diverted the water around him like a massive boulder in the middle of a small stream. Tenizen would continue to cut through the wave until the tip of his katana fluid would cut all the way through and slam directly into the ground.

A seismic force of earth chakra would begin tunneling forward through the ground at a power/speed of (90) from the point of impact from his katana. Its final range on arrival would not be the whole (30) meters the jutsu is capable of, instead Tenizen would use the column of water his opponent was currently using to sit atop the battlefield as the center for his target. The seismic shockwave would spread by 10 meters in every direction at jutsu speed (90) while it travels until it reaches its target point. Given the location of the the target point,  the end of the seismic shockwave should stop just a couple meters shy of the onlooking crowd that was now cowering less then 15 meters behind Kaimera.

Since earth was the superior element this time, the water would now be the one at a disadvantage (-25) when clashing (90>85). The water that would get caught in the seismic shockwave would end up getting thrown straight up into the air thanks to Serpentine Boulders launching effect of (15) meters . This would cause the water to be the exact height Kaimera would be sitting at on his column of water! The seismic wave could potentially overpower Kaimera’s column if it made it that far and potentially bring the whole thing crashing down along with Kaimera. Since Kaimera was not currently on the ground the Serpentine Bipolar should only do damage if he lands back on the ground while the technique is active.

Shit is that an advanced element he is using? I've never seen this one before! Only elite ninjas or those with special genetics could use advanced elements! This guy is way out of my league! So this is what a real ninja is capable of! I feel like a child! I can already feel the heat from his jutsu melting my skin from here! I'm going to get barbecued if i don't do something fast

While Clone (A) was finishing up with his earthen counter attack, both Clone (B) and the real Tenizen noticed the giant ball of scorch release building overhead. Its heat could already be felt in the form of humidity from all the water getting evaporated. Tenizen’s palms grew sweaty and the overall temperature was steadily rising degrees at a time! Clone (B) swiftly imbued the chakra that was in the blade in his right elbow joint with his flying swallow technique. He immediately followed that up by taking in oxygen in preparation of another flame breathing form. A thick roaring flame (25cm)burst into existence and engulfed Clone (B)’s blade. The real Tenizen didn't stick around for all this to play out. The very moment he saw the giant orb begin to form he would use his speed and agility (150+30=180) to turn directly around and try to high tail it out of there as fast as possible!

Clone (B) would cover his escape at this time by stepping directly in between Kaimera’s attack and the fleeing Tenizen. Clone (B) would start to swing his blade around in front of him in a circular motion as quickly as he could. Thick spirals of flame quickly filled in the circle like a whirlpool to become a protective barrier of flames about five meters thick. Clone (A) would then get behind Clone (B) and push on his back with the flat side of his stone sword to brace him. He pushed with everything he had in an attempt to better reinforce Clone (B)’s tiny frame so they could try to fend off the attack for as long as possible.

With the help of his enhanced technique (+20 from Flying Swallow), His flaming undulation technique (115), and his other clone bracing him for support, The Tenizen’s were hoping to avoid the real one getting obliterated while running away. It could also work in Ten’s favor that the incinerating flare jutsu might have to travel straight through the remains of Kaimera's previous water based attack thanks to Clone (A)’s serpentine boulder technique and the difference in elevation between the two combatants. In theory this would help weaken the jutsu at least a little bit! He was hoping that all these combined little factors could help weaken that advanced ninjutsu or stall the blast as long enough to avoid permanent damage.

Eventually the clones would get vaporized from all the intense heat and poof into clouds of smoke. It was inevitable! The advanced element was just too powerful. The real Tenizen wouldn’t have time to worry about the loss of his clones and welcomed back their chakra and memories to his body. It would take every drop of Tenizen’s fantastic speed just to outrun the detonation of the scorch release jutsu (180>125). Like the stone and water clash from moments earlier, Ten’s last minute defense would cause the scorch attack to have its momentum stopped while it flowed around his defense with the path of least resistance, similar to the boulder and the stream. This would create an extra little pocket of empty space behind the clones that Ten could try to outrun the blast in safely.

Ten would just barely make it out of the blast range  by going about (50) meters directly back from where he just was, and now is approximately (57) meters away from Kaimera, and 70 away from the entrance/crowds. Ten would try to use all the newly created steam and dust from that behemoth attack along with his suppressed chakra skill to go ghost mode for a minute. He needed time to recover some much needed energy and to analyze the situation so he could come up with a new plan.
