Leon Training
Sun May 06, 2012 4:43 am
Leon sat on the floor in his room and pulled out a scroll. He unraveled it which revealed a seal with two blank squares on the ends of hands. Leon places his hands there and concentrated chakra into both hands. The trick of the scroll was to have as perfect chakra control as possible and if you had the level of chakra expected then it would release signifying that you passed. Leon concentrated and balanced both hands as well as he could. He felt the seal releasing slightly, but he was no where near where he needed to be. Leon expected way more out of himself than this. He needed to master this scroll and move on if he had any hope for becoming head of the medical corps in Konoha. Leon flooded the scroll with chakra expecting that it would help him balance but his attempt failed. He clapped his palms together and took a deep breath. He let one giant sigh out and refocused his chakra. The moment he touched the scroll again the seal released and the paper turned green showing that he passed. Leon could now take this to the hospital and get his level 2 scroll!

Re: Leon Training

Leon Akechi sat by the bonfire in the forest outside of the village. It was late so not many people were walking by. In addition to that the Hokage died and he felt hopeless. He didn't know the Hokage that well, but since he was the leader of the village he couldn't feel at fault a little bit. Leon wanted to help and he wasn't getting to that strength fast enough. He needed some sort of intensive training. As he sat by the fire he thought of ways that might be able to help him train. He wanted to specialize in medical ninjutsu so he figured the hopsital would be his best best.
Leon made his way to the hospital and saw some people undergoing surgery and others with sprained ankles. He wasn't sure what to do he talked to a nurse, "excuse me." he said politely.
"yes?" The nurse asked smiling
"I was wondering if you could give me the next scroll on my training list."
"Oh sure, what's your name"
"Leon Akechi"
The nurse stood up from her desk and walked into a back room. As she left Leon looked around at different people in the hospital. Some ninja, but mostly civilians of the village. Leon pondered across the many different injuries he saw and right then he heard a scream from behind him. He looked into the room directly behind him as a couple medic ninja went inside. He saw another ninja on a hospital bed seizing as she screamed. The medic ninjas relaxed her with some sort of jutsu and started to perform surgery on her.
"Here you go!" The nurse called from behind Leon. Leon turned around and gave the nurse a look. How can she not be freaking out? He couldn't possibly comprehend how often this happens in the hospital. As Leon left the hospital with the scroll he realized that being a medic ninja was his goal. The head of medic corps to be exact. There had been talk of a war with the Cloud village and he had to be prepared for the war that lie ahead.
Leon arrived at his house and sat on his floor and opened the scroll. This exercise was going to much more difficult than the one he originally did. This level two exercise was going to require a lot of concentration. Leon placed both hands on the scroll and instantly was struck with a bit of lightning. He had no idea what the deal was so he tried again. Leon was struck by the scroll again. He thought about how this could possibly work. Leon sat for a while and thought.
"Well it must have something to do with putting the right amount of chakra into my palms before placing them on the scroll" Leon focused chakra in his hands and placed them on the scroll. He was struck again. Leon jumped up and paced around his room for a few minutes frustrated. THIS WAS TAKING TOO LONG! How could he save the village if he couldn't even concentrate chakra. Leon sat back down and clapped his hands together. He focused. Slowly raising the concentration of chakra in his hands. The chakra started emitting off of hands. Leon freaked out, but quickly regained focus on his hands. "Focus Leon, focus!" He reached a level of chakra he thought was right and placed it on the scroll. Leon was blown back by a giant strike of lightning. Leon yelled at the top of his lungs in frustration and slapped his hands on the scroll only to be surprised when the lightning didn't strike. The words on the scroll shifted until they read "sometimes you have to accept the people you can't save"
Instantly Leon thought of his brother and started tearing up. He couldn't save his brother and now he decided to take on something way bigger than that. Leon stood up and whipped the tears off. He didn't save his brother or his father, and maybe he couldn't save his village but that didn't mean he couldn't give it a try. Leon walked back to the hospital with his hands in his pocket and with the scroll in his bag. He hadn't expected some stupid chakra training to have such an impact. His cheeks were still cold from the tears and his nose still wet. When Leon entered the hospital the nurse was waiting for him "I'm sorry about that" she said. "It tends to be the most emotional of exercises. It was created to see who was truly dedicated and who thought medic ninja's have an easy job. It seems difficult to get respect around here. I hope we haven't scared you off though. You seemed promising"
Leon smiled a little bit at her "I'm ready for the next scroll."

When Leon arrived home he placed the scroll aside and went under his bed to grab a wooden post. He placed it in the up right position and stood a fair distance away from him. He felt that his chakra was too low after the last training to be able to do a sufficient amount of work. Instead he would get to that tomorrow and decided to work on his physical strength. He stroke the post with his left fist and then his right in a rapid motion. Back and forth to each fist. It wasn't long before the wood started to hurt his knuckles, but he kept going. If he was at all supposed to be a medic ninja then he would still need some sort of skills to get him through if he ever needed to fight without the use of chakra. Leon kept striking the post with his fist until his knuckles got scratched up and bloody. He wrapped them in bandages and laid down. It wasn't long before he passed out. This was just day 1 in a long intensive routine so he could become a great medical ninja. He would make sure that what happened to his brother would never happen again.

Leon placed his 3rd medical scroll on the floor in front of him. As soon as he opened it a green glass jar appear on it. The lid of the jar was grey and had a tiny air hole in it. The hole was about half the size of a nostril. Leon looked at the rest of the scroll and saw a needle that was quite thick. He realized that the objective of the training task was to fit the needle through the hole. Leon examined the needle. He looked for any trick parts that might need to be activated to make the needle longer and sharper in order for it to fit inside the jar. He couldn't find any so he then examined the jar. He looked again for any tricks or buttons that could be pressed. He applied pressure to different parts of the jar hoping that the air hole would increase itself in size. Leon had no such luck. He sat there puzzled for a couple minutes examining the situation. He picked up the needle and even tried to just place it in the jar hoping that the size difference was an optical illusion. Leon again found no such luck.
It almost seemed like a day had passed when Leon finally realized what to do. He needed to focus his precision and grow the length of the needle. At first he was excited, but then he realized that having that sort of precision was near impossible. The amount of chakra control it would take was enormous. Leon started doubting everything at once. He thought about his brother and how everything seemed to come so naturally for him. He learned two A rank jutsu by the first couple weeks of being a Genin. Leon had learned one B rank after two months of being one. A tear fell down is face as he thought about all this. His mom was alive, but she wasn't really there. She just sort of existed. His dad was dead. His brother was mentally unstable. The droplet hit the ground in front of him. He looked at the water mark it made. A couple inches it landed away from the needle. Leon smiled, "All of this shouldn't be bringing me down, it should be pushing me higher!" Leon grabbed the needle and the jar and placed them side by side. He measured to see exactly how much longer and sharper the needle needed to be.
At this point Leon realized that he wasn't even sure how to focus chakra into the needle. He placed the needle between two fingers like a cigarette and charged chakra into it. The chakra poured out from all ends of the need giving it an aura around it. "Dammit.. this isn't going to be easy if it keeps coming out from all ends so uncontrollably!" Leon yelled at himself and then realized he was yelling at himself and quickly shook it off. Leon charged the chakra again and this time focused all his energy into the tip of it. It grew exponentially, but he had no way of controlling it now. It grew way to long out of both ends and was still dull so it wouldn't fit through the hole at all. Leon stopped the chakra charge and put his thumb over one end of the needle and charged again. This simple trick worked surprisingly. The needle grew out of one end. Next Leon had to control the size of it. He stopped charging so much chakra and it shrunk too much. It took him a few tries but he found a good balance and used all his will power to maintain it.
Next step was to sharpen the needle. This step was easily going to be the hardest. He knew that he could form it if he focused his wind chakra on it, but that skill was too advanced for his level. The medical corps must have known that so they can't expect him to be able to use such a technique. Leon thought out loud again, "Okay well if you think about this logically, most medic ninja don't start training until way later as a Genin or as a Chuunin.. maybe they do expect that we can manage our nature by then. What do I do now? I'm out of options" Leon started to give up hope, but he remembered something his brother taught him. His brother went into the forest often and occasionally he'd see a ninja hunting. The ninja would focus the chakra into the arrow and create a border around it using it's natural shape for reference. In this case Leon needed to envision the normal shape of a needle and morph the needle into that. When Leon attempted it, it worked instantly. After a few bumpy imperfections the needle formed directly into the point Leon needed.
The last step of the process was to get the needle into the jar. Leon laughed at this part in the instructions. He just created a needle from nothing.. he could easily put into the hole. Leon stabbed the chakra needle into the hole only to be pushed back. A barrier of chakra formed around the jar except for a funnel that led directly to the hole. Leon needed to get the needle directly into that tiny hole without hitting the sides or else the barrier would appear again. He tried one more time and failed. He tried again and failed. Leon thought for a minute and tried again. This time he touched the barrier on purpose with his hand and put the needle over it. He extended the needle a bit so when he dropped it it had a trajectory plan. When Leon found the right distance and length and sharpness he dropped the needle and it landed directly into the jar. He fell back in relief. "These tests are getting way too difficult. I'm going to need a break pretty soon.. maybe I'll catch up on my visits"
