Kill the beast. [Mission, Leon - Rokuro]

Another day in Iwagakure, another day which seemed to grind through slowly and boringly for Leon, each day passing in this village seeming useless and cancerous to him. He wished he could just leave and never feel the burden of sadness that this country threw upon his shoulders, but today was a little different, instead of merely lazing around and getting through each day until he mustered up the courage to demand his departure, he was on a mission, he didn't know why he was on it but he just was and it seemed to be a pretty important one considering it was not only to protect the villagers of Iwagakure, which Leon still cared about, but also to further science as this was a monster hunting quest, and this monster would most likely be examined by scientists, which wasn't bad at the end of the day. He figured.

But, apparently for this mission he would have a comrade, he didn't quite know who as it wasn't listed in the briefing that was sent to him but this teammate was probably at least a Chuunin if he was going to help Leon take down some form of ferocious beast, or, whatever the hell this creature was anyway. The literal term used to describe it was "Monster" and "Beast", so he doubted that it was anything cuddly and fluffy. This thing probably claimed lives, so he definitely wasn't going to fuck around with if it was dangerous, the quicker he put the creature down, the better.

Then he had to actually transport its carcass, so there were annoying parts to this mission after all, but hey if it got him some money after the clan's treasury was raided he'd gladly comply.

He stood there waiting for his teammate to arrive, who even was this teammate? Was it someone he knew? Probably, he got to know most of Iwagakure's ninja so he wouldn't be too surprised if it was a familiar face he was working with. He wondered who exactly though, a couple of names came to mind but he doubted it'd be any of them, eh, who knew.

He stood at the written rendezvous place, awaiting his comrade so they could begin the search for this "beast."

Rokuro had been paying no mind to the things outside of his home, the vast house that spanned for meters and even stretched into the depths of the underground had been his cave for some time unless he had needed to go out for something. The head of the chuunin of the Hozuki sat comfortably on the showers wall as the water fell on him, fully aware and conscience of the things going on around him but not in too much mood to care for it. The sound or what seemed to be the sound of a door opening would alert him, but cause him no reason to open his eyes to see whom it was.

"Young Sir, There was a mission request outside of the manor this morning, you are due to meet up with another ninja in the designated spot on the letting i left out on your bed. Shall i get your clothing ready?"

The strange yet young voice called to him, telling him of the task of the day at hand which is was rather reluctant to do. Rokuro's head would have tilted slightly as a small yet oddly noticeable smile appeared on his face,"Yes..Yes go ahead and get everything ready and could you have tea ready in a couple of hours?," the simple words was muttered as his body formed inside of the water...more specifically the water became his body as he stood in the tub naked. The voice sighed softly, not knowing whether to cover her eyes in respect or give him a towel. Smiling she would bow and turn around slowly before speaking.

"Alright Young sir i shall get everything ready as specified by you."

The maid would have soon walked out of the bathroom and into his room where she would get everything ready, although the sound of water could be heard as he took a shower. The funny thing about being a Hozuki was that after he was clean he could just absorb the water and make it apart of him so he could have more later.. It would be after some time of lollygagging and getting dressed that Rokuro would have been fully dressed, wearing his black sleeveless thin padded shirt which sat under his black jacket which was now worn over his shoulders and slightly buttoned so it would stay on. The jacket would have black fur cuffs and a fur like collar. The last to put on was of course the black chuunin altered pants and shoes, soon he had took off or rather walked to the rendezvous spot indicated on the letter.

Since the area in which he would be meeting this person was close, he could take a quick jog to there and make it before whoever it was became awfully upset or something at him. Minutes passed as Rokuro finally made it to the spot where he would see someone standing there no doubt this person was his partner. Walking over to him, Rokuro would nod and speak," You the guy im doing this mission with? If so lets go ahead and get this over with, i don't particularly like to be out taking care of others messes," yawning slightly he would wait for him to respond before moving out.

He stood there, still waiting for his mission comrade to arrive, and in the meantime he figured he'd light up. Grabbing a cigarette from a carton in his pocket he'd pop it in his mouth and after pulling out a stainless steel lighter from the other pocket lit up the cigarette, taking one long puff and inhaling, letting the smoke fill his lungs, he had gotten into smoking a lot more due to previous events, he forgot his pipe, much to his annoyance so these emergency cartons would have to do for now.

Along with a sigh of annoyance, he exhaled all of the smoke he had previously breathed in with a large cloud of grey wisps which quickly faded as they breezed through the air, "Ugh." He grunted in annoyance, he wasn't looking forward to having to clean up issues like this, but the least he could do to help Iwagakure's villagers was to accomplish this mission, so the quicker he got it done at the end of the day, the better, he didn't quite know what to do afterwards so he was already thinking about his plans for later on, he expected himself to just head to a bar, maybe flirt with a waitress, who knew? 

He finally saw what seemed to be his mission partner, he felt as if he recognized him from somewhere, probably a while ago when Near was still in power of the village. "Yeah, that's me alright." He simply responded, "Léon River." Introducing himself briefly before taking one last puff of his cigarette before flicking the remains and the cigarette butt off to the side, breathing out the last cloud of smoke.

"We move. This report says it was last seen at high altitude so we're headed towards the taller mountain ranges." He simply informed, well, as the superior officer and as temporary squad leader he felt he had to brief quickly, obviously this wasn't a full team and he knew Rokuro was over Chuunin rank so he spared his intelligence and just gave him a quick one.

"Hope you're prepared." He joked, before taking off towards the mountain ranges, keeping his lookout on the way incase the creature had come down or something like that, which was an unlikely act, but it was still possible, and anything could happen so it was best to be alert for any possible scenario.

But these mountains were pretty barren, and in Iwagakure, they stretched for ages, and the two would definitely have to overcome a physical challenge in scaling all these tall mountains, it'd most likely sap some of their energy and make them have to cope with thin air and a reduced oxygen level, obviously, if they were both high-ranked they'd be able to survive this kind of peril unscathed, it'd be the creature which would be the most dangerous thing they'd encounter, not the hostile environment which they were located in.
