Re: Primmys Training (Navi, Primmy)

When he flicked her she had closed her eyes and fell over. She felt like it she couldn't breathe. She felt completely drained with barely any energy left. She looked up at him coming at her, and Primmy Raised her hand to do a quick clone jutsu hoping to be able to confuse him to which one was really her. She kept her eyes open despite how hard it was to focus or concentrate, she had to keep up the energy.

Navi watched as Prim hastily performed a clone jutsu on the ground. "Good, trying to confuse me huh? Unfortunately that jutsu won't work on me. You see, your clones are illusionary, not solid. I can tell they aren't real because they don't flatten the grass they stand on or cast a shadow from the sun. You won't be able to fool an experienced ninja with a technique like that."
Navi ignored the clone and walked over to a stick laying on the ground. When he picked it up, Navi focused a small amount of chakra in it and the stick transformed into a sword. Navi tossed the sword gently to Prim as she lay on the ground, struggling to breathe. The hilt of the sword would land directly in her palm, allowing her to use it immediately. Navi picked up a rock about the size of a baseball and held it in his right hand. Then he stood and waited for Prim to get up, and attack him.

She picked up the sword and moved what little chakra she had had left into using the weapon. Primmy began swinging the sword at Navi to attempt to slash and then stab him with it. Each blow she was hoping would miss him and not hurt him. She had never been in a literal battle like this one, even though it is sparring it makes her nervous, she was hoping her nervousness wasn't apparent. She didn't want to disappoint Navi after he had helped so much.
Primmy stopped to take a breathe, her energy was literally depleted.

Navi was disappointed, Prim had indeed improved, swinging the sword at him with her eyes open, but it wasn't enough. It was very apparent she wasn't really trying to kill him, despite the fact she was wielding a sword. Navi's eyes glazed over with boredom as she swung the sword at him. Navi had no weapons in his hand and felt no need to draw any. With his barehand and open palm he slapped the sword away by the broadside as Prim swung, making each attack ineffective. Her attacks were half-hearted, and entirely useless. "I'm sure your tired and low on chakra, but you will be in this situation several times and need to fight anyway, with only the pride of your village to fuel your determination."
As the next slash came in Navi caught the sword with one hand, holding it firmly by the blade delicately as not to cut himself. With his other hand Navi threw a purposely weak and slow punch at her. If Prim was determined enough she may be able to dodge or block it. If she wasn't and was to tired it would hit her squarely in the face.

Primmy was once in a situation where a punch was coming at her, she already knew what to do in this case, it was instinct for her. Primmy didnt want to dodge, she felt that would be cowards way out, instead, she decided to block it using her forearm. This had always been instinctual for her. With a smirk on her face she looked back at Navi and repeated some words she had heard a couple of times from him. "Is that all you got?" She said somewhat proud that she managed to block his attack. She had a feeling that the attack, wasnt going to be so easy next time.

Good, at least she has some spirit in her. Now it was time to go a little bit harder and turn it up a notch. Navi spun around with a slightly faster roundhouse kick aimed for her neck, This would be much harder to block or dodge, but Navi put very little power or speed into it, meaning it was totally possible if Prim was entirely focused.
The spar wouldn't last long, but he was incrementally attacking faster and stronger, just to gauge where her power level was exactly. It would be interesting to see how Prim dealt with Navi's kick directly after blocking the punch.

Primmy had one thing on her side, she was one of the kids who could do somersaults and back bends. As a kid she had friends she would rough house with and had to do backwards somersaults to get away. Maybe just maybe a quick enough reaction would work, or maybe she could just dodge. Backwards somersault seemed more fitting, but she would have to time it just right. As the kick came towards her neck within mere inches she bent backwards and as it went over, she had her feet follow, otherwise she would have fallen straight on her back. She landed perfectly straight up, but breathing hard. "Was that good enough?" she asked breathing hard.

Navi was impressed by her flexibility as Prim evaded his kick with a well executed dodge. Usually it would take a Genin or Chuunin to do a dodge so smoothly, but as a student she seemed to have a small talent for it. At the price of rolling away and dodging his kick, she had let go of the sword in Navi's grasp. Navi turned it back into a rock and dropped it on the ground.
Navi would need to work on a few things with Prim to unlock more of her potential, but she already well surpassed other Konoha students and was definitely ready to become a Genin ninja.
"Was that good enough?" she asked breathing hard.
Navi said nothing but smiled in response. He stood relaxed looking at Prim for awhile before finally responding. "Your ready to become a Genin now, although if you think you have it in you to spar me a little more, go for it."

She smiled at Navi, "I am kind of nervous, what if I don't make it?" Prim asked biting her lip. She was very nervous. "Navi-sensei, you are an amazing trainer, I am just scared I wont make it." Primmy asked as she stood in front of him. She wanted to be a genin, she was ready to make something of herself, but that little bit of self doubt lingered in her.

"Navi-sensei, you are an amazing trainer, I am just scared I wont make it." Navi smiled as she said this and attempted to explain and comfort her. "The Genin Exam is not a test with extreme pressure. The Chuunin exams involve survival and many candidates are hospitalized or even die. A Genin exam is more like a check to see if you are capable of performing jutsu, and to see if you are determined enough to continue down your path as a ninja."
Navi continued smiling as he talked, looking directly into the eyes of Prim with a gaze full of pride. "I've seen that you have determination, and I've watched you perform both jutsu you need to do very well. I have no doubt that you will pass the Genin Exam at the top of your class."
A breeze passed through the field that tossed Navi's crimson hair and caused the grass to flow like waves. The sun was beginning to set to mark the end of a long day, and it cast long shadows of the trees across the field. It was up to Prim whether or not they wanted to train a bit longer.
