Navi's Elemental Training Empty Navi's Elemental Training

Sat Oct 06, 2012 8:27 pm
Everything about Navi's techniques screamed the fire elemental nature. Navi's chakra had developed so much that there were indeed two other elements inside of him, but his fire nature had always seemed to overtake everything else. Now that Navi had set a little time for himself aside outside his ANBU and Sensei duties, he had time to discover what those elements really were. He would be able to expand his knowledge of jutsu very soon, and he needed to prepare by having as much chakra as possible. His specialty was ninjutsu after all, and a specialty like that required a huge level of chakra. His level of chakra would all but determine his strength as a ninja. Navi realized that much of this training would lie in the expertise of basic skills, and the one he decided to focus on first was the elemental nature styles. Truthfully, Navi had never relied on other elemental jutsu in battle or on a mission before. He used stealth when he needed to and never found use in pretending to be someone else. However, if he was to master the technique to a deep enough extent, the ability to use the transformation jutsu could prove invaluable. Navi opened the door and started down the streets of the Leaf Village. It was as quiet in the streets of Konoha as it always was, the walk to the training field was a tranquil experience. When Navi finally arrived it was still just before the sun would come up, giving him plenty of time to have a full day of training. The training grounds were nearly deserted giving him plenty of space to work and train. He needed to quickly get stronger. His current power level was strong but he couldn't afford to let himself fall behind on his training. Navi had already mastered the basic technique of control, so focusing his chakra to form himself into someone else was easy. While focusing his chakra Navi realized he wasn't exactly sure what he was looking for. Fire nature came as easily to him as regular chakra, but as Navi didn't even know what other elemental affinties he had, he decided to pay a visit to the academy to learn from Mr. Uchigawa. Navi was always confident that the man would have something up his sleeve to train and show him what he needed. As Navi walked into the room Mr. Uchigawa immediately sat up with a smile spread across his face. The man had grown to really respect Navi as a fellow ninja in the leaf village and Navi had grown to greatly respect the man for his level of knowledge on ninja techniques. Navi gave a slight bow as he entered, which Mr. Uchigawa immediately returned. “What can I do for you this time?” Navi explained that he was interested in his other possible elemental affinties and an even bigger grin spread across the man's face. He took out a small piece of paper and handed it to Navi. Navi saw that it was blank and a quizzical look spread across his face. After a few moments of holding it Mr. Uchigawa explained the procedure. The user was to concentrate his chakra into the piece of paper to discover their elemental affinity. If lightning the paper would crumble in the middle. If wind the paper would split in half. If fire the paper would instantly burn up. If earth the paper should crumble apart immediately, and if water the paper would be immediately drenched and wither. Mr. Uchigawa explained that this paper had been made from a special type of tree and was made to absorb chakra. When concentrated the paper should have an effect based on the users chakra type. Navi nodded and focused some chakra into it, and the paper immediately burnt into an unrecognizeable mound of ash. His level of chakra was extremely intense, and it seemed that fire chakra almost came more easily then regular chakra. Mr. Uchigawa sighed as he realized that Navi's chakra network was so overwhelmingly fire related that it would be difficult to proceed with the paper test. “Are you sure you have any other elements?” Navi paused and wondered, and asked if there was an easier way to find out. Instead Mr. Uchigawa grabbed a handful of the special papers and told Navi to follow him onto the roof. When he arrived on top he told Navi to perform fire jutsu, and do his best to deplete his level of fire chakra from his body to try and leave mostly regular chakra left. Splitting the chakra this way would still prove difficult but Navi nodded and started doing as he was told. After a few handsigns Navi performed his Phoenix Fire Jutsu, aiming several fireballs far into the sky so they would slowly dissipate when they got high enough and not cause any harm to the village. As Navi had a ridiculous amount of chakra, it was almost sixty or seventy fireballs later before Mr. Uchigawa decided to stop him. The man was dumbfounded that Navi had so much chakra and had only just then recognized that Navi showed the slightest signs of exhaustion. It was no wonder that Navi was promoted to Jounin level so quickly for his natural talent as a ninja. Mr. Uchigawa gave him another slip of paper, which Navi proceeded to focus a large amount of chakra into. Immediately, the paper started burning, but a few moments later was cut in half, the two burning pieces falling to the ground. Mr. Uchigawa raised an eyebrow quizically for a few moments before taking a deep breath, acknowledging that it seemed Navi's secondary element was of wind nature. It was deep and dormant within him, but it seemed Navi had the ability to focus wind chakra somewhere inside of him. Navi realized that if he was able to harness this power it would be deeply beneficial, as the ability to use wind to spread flames would no doubt be invaluable for his skills and technique. With this knowledge Navi would practice and master his ability to produce wind chakra, which would no doubt be a valuable tool to be able to utilize. Navi thanked Mr. Uchigawa and told him he would be back later to see if he had a third elemental affinity, but for now Navi departed to the training ground to work on harnessing his new wind abilities. When Navi arrived he found a smaller corner to begin training, fortuntely he had already expelled most of his fire nature chakra, but harnessing this strange no affinity would be very strange to him. Despite handsigns and even the most basic moves, Navi was unable to create any push of wind whatsoever. Even when Navi focused huge amounts of chakra only bits of fire would come out. Navi would need a catalyst first if he going to train this level of chakra and shut out the fire. Navi drew one of his kunai and focused hard on channeling his chakra into it. After a few minutes Navi was able to isolate a small amount of wind chakra into the weapon, isolating it from the rest of his chakra and had. The wind chakra appeared on his blade, but Navi saw no practical use for it as wind in itself didn't seem to do anything to a blade. Navi thought for a few moments though, wondering what would happen if he concentrated the two opposing chakra wind currents against eachother, as they may even increase the power and sharpness of the blade. It increased the sharpness of bladed weapons, so much so that in the hands of an experienced user even small blades are capable of piercing substantial rocks easily, leading to his assertion that this chakra is unparalleled offensively in close and mid-ranged fights. This effect is achieved by utilising two opposing chakra currents, which are ground against each other in such a manner that they sharpen one another into fine pieces. As Navi discovered this unique ability he had difficulty in deciding whether he liked concentrating fire chakra into his blade or wind chakra. Both seemed like very useful techniques, as one could slice through just about anything, while the other could burn through just about anything. Navi was happy to add the style to his arsenal though, even if he didn't seem to have the ability to harvest any other jutsu from his wind style. Navi practiced slicing away at trees with his new wind style enhanced kunai, wondering if there were any other practical applications he could squeeze out of his new powers. As a test, Navi decided to trying using them as ranged weapons. He through a wind style kunai at a tree and watched with awe as the kunai powered right through the thick trunk of the tree and even proceeded to puncture a solid rock on the other side. This wind nature was incredibly powerful when utilized correctly, as the sharpening of a simple blade with wind style chakra infusion lead to imeasurable strength. Navi even practiced tieing a wire around the kunai, then focusing powerful chakra infusion currents into the knife. With a flick of his wrist, Navi steered the trajectory of the kunai, and even cut down trees by simply swinging around the knife with the wind chakra. Navi smiled devilishly as he discovered this incredible power, and wondered deeply what it would be like if he was able to infuse both fire and wind into a single kunai. What if he was able to concentrate fire wind and a third element into a single knife? All of the possibilities rushed at Navi. Even with the ability to harness only small amounts of these other elements and perform only a couple skills or jutsu, it would open up an entire new world to his fightning style to make him a more powerful ninja. At this rate he would become a captain in the ANBU in no time, and would probably immediately be rewarded with the white cloak. Navi fanticized briefly about sparring the Hokage again, or maybe even Echo. He had proved himself powerful opponent and as the fastest ninja in Konoha he had practically exceeded Jinchuriki speeds. His level of mastery over movement was incredible and had grown exponentially. At this rate he may even be recognized as a legendary Sanin and be recognized world wide as one of the elite. All of this thinking while Navi was training flowed forth, and before he even realized it Navi saw that night had fallen and the moon was beginning to surface itself. Navi would head home soon but continued to think on his career as an ANBU before he continued. With this new wind element he may be able to increase his speed even further and create a power so quickly that he could be at any point in the land of fire in under five minutes. This ability might change Navi's career altogether, as he realized the strategic advantage to a leader of possessing a ninja with such an ability. Any package or tool could be delivered to any place near instantaneously. Any message would get to any person nearly instantaneously and without trouble or fear of interception. Anything that needed to be kept from enemy hands would be in Navi's grasp, as not a single person would be able to even dream of catching him. All of the applications for speed powers were incredible, and Navi had little doubt that the Hokage would make full use of them. To present these powers Navi would probably challenge the powerful captain of the black ops personally showcase his abilities. The man already knew of Navi's incredible speed and prowess, but with this new development the captain would have no choice but to recognize his new abilities and immediately promote him as one of the mans highest ranking subbordinates. From there, Navi would dream of leading a special black ops team, one that could defeat any enemy, including a Kage, without problem or question. The leaf village would become an unstoppable force of military might which few would be able to rival, and Navi would use every ounce of his power to protect the village he had sworn to protect. Navi had almost become a sensory specialist with all of his abilities and dojutsu, and Navi wondered what powers would await him as he mastered the wind element, and maybe even a third element could be added to his already impressive arsenal. After all of these thoughts, Navi sighed. He was always one to overanalyze his career, and he needed time to relax and go to sleep. He planned on going to the academy again tomorrow to learn and harness whatever his third element could be. Navi decided to call it a day and head home, he could continue this training the next day. The moon was starting to come up and he had to sleep for another busy day. Navi opened his door and stumbled inside, sitting on his bed. He had contemplated his career all day and had an exhausting time training hard. The window shone brightly with a full moon outside floating in the starry night. It was a huge gleaming sphere that lit up the entire leaf village. Navi starred at it for a long time before even getting drowzy, his eyes beginning to close as he blinked them frequently and small bags began to accumulate under his tired eyes. His whole body would ache from the intense training he had accomplished and powerful skills he had sharpened and learned. It only hurt more reminding himself that soon he would have to begin a new regiment, sharpen a new set of skills to help him on his path to being a better shinobi. It was worth it though, it had to be, training harder then anyone else. Every time he spent a full day training his power would jump to a whole another league in that area. He was a strong ninja because he dedicated so much time and hardwork towards training to be one. He couldn't let anything stand in his path to becoming a better and he reminded himself to always stay on the path to becoming a stronger shinobi of the village hidden in the leaves. With all of the preliminary thoughts out of the way, Navi layed back in bed and softened his pillow. His eyes ached and his blood felt like it was boiling from exerting chakra so much and only three short days. Every day of training he felt like he had just come back from a raging battle. He felt calm with a small sense of victory and satisfaction everytime. Navi took a deep breath and got up quickly before heading off to sleep. He had opened a window so that a gentle breeze could get through and fill his room, cooling his warm and tired body. His whole body drooped in bed and his muscles numbed, He would turn over on his head and begin to sleep soundly and softly. He had learned some important chakra skills and had truly mastered the wind style chakra for the ability to harvest it's form.

Day 2:

With a loud yawn Navi awoke and tossed the covers off of himself. Today Navi would learn what his third elemental affinity was (if he truly had it). Navi was nothing short of a prodigy having the ability to pick up how to use an element in only a day of training and already have the capability of using it efficiently in combat. Navi stood up and stretched in his room, tossing on his clothes lazily and heading out the door, immediately making a beeline for the ninja academy. As expected Mr. Uchigawa was at his desk filling out paperwork, and as Navi walked in, they both stood and bowed slightly to one another. Mr. Uchigawa already had stack of the special paper nearby, which would allow the user to focus chakra into it and discover any other elemental affinity they might have. “Your positive you have other elements inside of you?” Navi paused and wondered, and asked if there was an easier way to find out. Instead Mr. Uchigawa grabbed a handful of the special papers and told Navi to follow him onto the roof. It would be the same routine as before, and Navi would have to first expell his massive amount of fire chakra. After a few handsigns Navi began spitting fireballs from his phoenix fire jutsu into the sky, aiming to up into the air as not to cause any damage to the village. It took several minutes of a constant stream of Phoenix Fire jutsu fireballs before Navi stopped. Mr. Uchigawa was no less impressed then he was last time, as Navi had a level of chakra to rival that of a Jinchuriki. That entire display was only the tip of the iceberg, because it took that display just to expell some of the fire nature chakra that was within him. Navi then took out a kunai and focused his wind style chakra into it, attempting to drain the wind style from his body. Mr. Uchigawa was again facinated that Navi was able to have mastered the technique entirely of wind chakra control in only a day. The process of draining his wind elemental chakra was much faster, as much less wind style resided in Navi. All Navi had to do was focus far more chakra then was needed into his knife and grind the two blades together. After a couple minutes of overdoing it the wind style had all but evaporated from overpowering Navi's chakra level. Mr. Uchigawa handed Navi another chakra paper, and told him to focus his power into it. Navi held the paper and focused his chakra, watching the paper crinkle to the middle, before being cut in half and then catching on fire. It seemed that Navi did indeed have another element, and this time it was of lightning nature. Navi was happy to see that he had a lightning affinity somewhere inside of him, as he always sort of thought lightning would be a cool power to harvest. Still, he was not surprised he had an elemental nature for lightning, and was actually more surprised when his secondary element hadn't turned out to be lightning. The Yamaki clan had always specialized in more Lightning nature style techniques, so the manifestation of that kind of chakra wasn't entirely a surprise. Mr. Uchigawa however was very surprised, immediately displaying shock after having seen that Navi had not only two, but a third element locked up inside of him. It seemed that Navi was almost born to be a ninja, and Navi's constant display of talent was always impressive. Navi bid Mr. Uchigawa farewell and thanked him for his help, then departed for the training field to continue his process of harvesting his elements, this time focusing on lightning. This process would be even more difficult then wind, as lightning nature chakra was even less a part of his body. Navi took a deep breath and found yet another reclusive corner within the training field. Navi began with basic handsigns, but doubted they would produce even a spark of electricity. He was correct, as after focusing every part of this nature he had just discovered, nothing was produced. Fire had come so easily to Navi that he was able to start harvesting and understanding the nature when he was only a student. However, wind chakra had proven a challenge to focus, and lightning even moreso. Navi tried his same technique from earlier, whipping out a kunai as a catalyst and preparing to use it as a way to focus his chakra. Several minutes of concentration past, and nothing but flickers of fire and wind chakra would spread across the blade. He began to wonder whether or not he had seen the chakra paper right and he really did have a third lightning nature inside of him. An hour passed of simply staring and focusing on the plain and simple kunai knife before Navi jumped. A single spark had appeared on the knife and had given Navi a small shock. The jump was more from the shock of having seen the lightning style, and less from actually being shocked by lightning chakra. The chakra nature was extremely unstable, but with Navi's incredible talent of chakra control, it would prove no problem for him. It had taken an hour of focusing to discover how and where to summon up the lightning nature, but from here on it wouldn't prove to be much of a problem. Navi focused again on the blade, a few minutes passing before several sparks danced around the blade. He smiled as he focused on the knife, watching tiny sparks of voltage dance on the metal blade. After a few more minutes Navi was able to concentrate enough of this nature as to always have at least a few sparks on the blade, giving a constant stream of a miniscule level of chakra. Another hour passed and Navi had developed the ability to surround the kunai knife with a thin film of lightning chakra, and only a few minutes later he was able to fully extend the blade with pure lightning nature chakra. Navi decided to experiment with his new ability, throwing the lightning kunai at a tree and watching with disappointment as it stuck itself into the tree normally. It seemed that the lightning offered very little in the way of power to help strengthen the blade. However, the lighting chakra would be a powerful asset, as contact with an enemies skin would undoubtedly give a numbing effect and hurt an enemy drastically. This would make even a non lethal cut to the arm powerful, as it would cause all of the muscles up and down that arm to spasm uncontrollably and go numb and difficult to control. The idea of a fire, wind lightning kunai in itself was a thrilling prospect to Navi, as he contemplated the practical applications of such a powerful tool. Navi decided to continue with his lightning nature and play with other abilities, recognizing that if he clashed with another ninja wearing steel or metal, that Navi would have the upperhand just by concentrating a little bit of chakra into the blade. His power level was no doubt increasing exponentially and it wouldn't be long until Navi had fully mastered all three elements, an entire arsenal of powerful elemental jutsu and circumstantial techniques at his fingertips. Navi smiled as he would be able to apply these elements not only to the ninjutsu specialty he held close, but maybe also use them intertwined with his fairly newly developed genjutsu specialties. Navi currently had no real genjutsu skills to use as battle techniques, so Navi was curious to develop them and use them effectively in conjunction with his wind and lightning. Furthermore, Navi had plans to develop a technique that would involve both lightning and wind elements. As he would be unable to use them very well offensively. Instead they would most likely be used for enhancement of sorts, using them to strengthen his styles, as Navi wouldn't be able to change the fact that fire nature was still his main and offensive element that he had to work with. With the three of these elements in conjunction Navi had no doubt that he could give almost any ninja in the world a challenge. His powers would be near peaked after a few more developments, and in another year or so Navi was sure he would easily hit Sannin or legendary level. He had always trained with the goal in mind of being more powerful then a tailed beast, and after a few more skill adjustments he would easily have the skill set necessary. At this rate he would be able to challenge the captain of the black ops in maybe a week or two, and prove to him that he was worthy of a promotion and maybe so more important duties. There always seemed to be another hurdle to leap or rung to climb on the scale of promotions and power. Hopefully Navi had reached an echelon of power where his words were respected and he was trusted greatly a by the village. His mastery of three elements would be greatly helpful in reinforcing that respect and Navi couldn't wait to further his power level with the application of those elements. As Navi drifted off in thought, he yet again lost track of time and hadn't realized that night had already fallen at that the training field not laid completely empty and devoid of life. He had proved himself powerful opponent and as the fastest ninja in Konoha he had practically exceeded Jinchuriki speeds. His level of mastery over movement was incredible and had grown exponentially. He had already planned his new elemental skill and was contemplating how to use it effectively while walking back home through the streets of Konoha. Navi would use his lightning chakra as a stimulus. While he recognized Navi had an affinity for the lightning nature, it was his weakest element and using it effectively outside his body would prove extremely difficult. Instead Navi planned on using the lightning element to excite his muscles and give him an even greater speed advantage then he was normally used to. With his wind element Navi would plan out manipulating small waves of wind to help steer his body and increase movement with the small jets that he would expell. The chakra usage would be minimal, but the technique itself would take an extreme level of mastery to perform. Using both lightning and wind chakra together would be extremely difficult, as Navi had trouble concentrating any lightning chakra at all with even the slightest traces of wind and fire elements still in his body. At full strength, fire nature would be extremely prominent in his body, making it almost impossible for him to focus his wind or lightning nature at all. The ability to focus these two elements would prove incredibly difficult, and Navi would need to train hard in order to use them in conjunction with eachother to effectively create a new powerful jutsu. When the technique was mastered however, it would give him the skill to easily go faster then any other ninja on the planet, and perhaps even exceed speeds twice the speed of sound. That level of speed would make Navi almost impossible to ever hit, and make him the fastest weapon that Konoha would have to rely on. At this rate he may even be recognized as a legendary Sanin and be recognized world wide as one of the elite. All of this thinking while Navi was training flowed forth, and before he even realized it Navi saw that night had fallen and the moon was beginning to surface itself. Navi decided to call it a day and head home, he could continue this training the next day. The moon was starting to come up and he had to sleep for another busy day.
