He threw a shuriken at Yuri expecting Yuri to counter it by deflecting them. Yuri wasn't expecting this though it was like her trainer as always, punishment awaits if it has a failing outcome. Theres nothing more to focus on than to deflect the thrown with the same stuff as the thrown. Yuri lets her focus to be enhanced further due to the mode of training as she calmly produces a pair shurikens extended from her palm. She was just in time to throw it to deflect the incoming ones with the range of 5 meters left.

Yuri kneels down panting heavily after multiple tries resulting in failure, her chakra pool is still pretty limited. Yuri nodded while panting as she stands up for one last try.The trainer unleashes a series of kunai up the skies, all eventually aimed for her. She focuses as her level of familiarity peaks for the day. Extending kunais out of her palms after 2 hand seals became a piece of cake as it helped her to parry every kunai coming down from the sky. That's where her luck of the day ends.

Surviving the incident

Yuri woke up in an area unknown to her, she was pretty sure it was combat occurring all over the place at the previous minute. Puzzled at the outcome now, she found no signs of blood anywhere near her. There wasn't even any smoke trails and worse still, it wasn't even near area of the hideout. She picked up herself and started moving to get a clearer idea of her situation now. It wasn't any help, dusk is coming in a few minutes time, any chances of going far will be slim since finding her own limps could be a problem as well. Thankfully, it was a quiet area. She simply sat down with her back at the stump.

The night sky hasn't been as good as this night for her whole life or rather it was never this lively to herself. Thousands of small bright dots filled the sky along with the seemingly beautiful clouds that might have been know as their mothers. Its a pity that she could only witness it alone. However, her sight could not capture all of the details at a go. It would had been more fortunate if she had one that spans like a bird as a red streak is coming from her blind spot by contending with thousands of bright dots. With the nature of gravity, the streaking red beam would win naturally at Yuri's back. Being captured by the dazzling stars and the level of activity around, Yuri started to lower her guard. Tired as she after a few days of fighting without a sleep, her eye lids were really heavy. At the same time, it causes her mind to mess up her chains of thought since concentration began to crumble as well. The tragedy finds its way closer than ever for each passing moment. It spans at least a few hundred meters wide.

Being still too high up in the sky, it has no indication to warn even if it wants to. If there was anyone one other than her, she would be heard snoring by now. It didn't take very long for the big thing to thin down itself and be a few kilometers away from Yuri. With the closing of distances, the emergent layer started catching wind of the incoming threat. 30-50 meters above Yuri turned into a haven of leaves first. This is followed by the middle layer that soon got affected. Yuri had been taking a nap for 20 minutes and none of their concerns reached her yet, they could only land meters away from her at best. It was only 10 minutes later that the incoming object alerted the entire forest, Yuri opened her eyes. The top had caught fire, creating a tornado on top of her.

With the immense amount of speed with its mass, Yuri tried to raise herself but it was too late to make a clean escape. The meteorite went in her direction and made an impact worth at least 600 meters wide. Her weight was certainly at advantage for flight during the crash as it helped her out by allowing her to struggle from trunk to trunk and mutating her from the impact of the meteor in the process of escape. By the time any solid object could settle down, multiple objects knocked her out, leaving her within the crater.

A dark miracle, originating from her curse and heightened by her survival instinct, worked a way out to keep her life.

Constant Speed boost

The next morning, townspeople gathered around the crater, burning crisp made up of trees covered almost the entire crater. Everyone was looking at the sea of trees. Since it happened at night, everyone assumed that no one should be outside when they are asleep. Everyone looked at the area in awe, experiencing such an incident for the first time. Many thought that if there were anyone inside they would have been roasted long ago. Still, they proceeded with clearing off the area for the authorities after about an hour. The guards quickly went with clearing the crater of junk. Its the start of a long and tiring day for the cleaners.

2 dozens of men were deployed for to clear the crater for certain military purposes. The tools they used were shovels of axes since there was no need to clear any thing metallic. Morale to saving is low as survivors can prove to be difficult to rescue with the height of the crater. It was not the best day to celebrate rescues. However, the initial meter of searching downwards did not see any signs of a body. But the chief of this operation found something interesting. He did not even go down with his men yet, but he stepped near a branch when it flew up in an unusual manner and broke in the air. His eyebrows twitched , thinking that there is something special about this incident. A branch that light is simply not possible naturally, someone must have done it with a ninja art. He shouted his discovery towards men under his command to take note.

Unfortunately, it would seemed his experience is a miracle as there was no indication of similar objects from all the other men. Trunks were heavy as hell and nothing seems to be flying except the leaves which went up by the hacking and slashing from the clearing process.

Deep in the mess, there was an area 5 meters wide clear of any branches or obstruction which only footsteps that pointed towards all direction remained. It was unknown what went on during the past 6 hours. Yuri in her almost unscathed state, wakes up as if she had a good sleep. She checked on herself after remembering that incident. While touching herself frantically to clarify that she hasn't reach nirvana, she found a few cuts on her foot. With the amount of mess interpreted by looking upwards, moving became unfavorable for her current situation. She decided to shout for help.

It seems that her rescue was planned by the heaven when her voice was heard when guards were removing the mess layer by layer. One of them heard a soft call from below for help which immediately directed efforts to the area around Yuri. The Guards were shocked but their efforts were doubled. 3 hours of work reaching Yuri had them discovered that the quality of the mess degrades as they went further down. Ropes were beginning to be deployed due to the softened trunk that broke into half with a single soft step or even disintegrate into fiber if worse. At last, after 6 hours of concentrated efforts, one of the ropes reached Yuri, at the very bottom level of the crater. The helping Chief had no explanation towards this miracle given the fact that Yuri remained unconscious before able to call for help.

Jutsu Speed Boost

As Yuri was rescued and undergoing certain checkup even with her scale of injuries, there were some gossips on omen. Word about Yuri being the fruit of evil was spreading and being backfired at the same time. No one expected her to pay as she is considered an orphan given the fact that she never seen her parents. The only thing the doctor is worried is the color of her skin although it has done no real damage to her from their observation. Having been trapped for a long time, the only thing on her mind was to fill her stomach before she blacks out. The doctor smiles at Yuri and ask her if she is alright, she simply had no time to answer.

It took Yuri 2 hours to settle down her mood. The sun was high up when shadows are forming nearly perfectly vertically. The doctor left the nurse to ask her how is she feeling. Yuri gave her a smile as a reply as she takes a short rest after a refresher. She was shocked herself when she found her skin color changed slightly. There was no other reason, it must be linked to the incident. On the other hand, she was also aware of being a living subject which yielded no success all the while. Was it a safety charm? Or was it the awakening? It remains to be revealed.

It took her weeks to get the order of the technique right when she could finally adjust her strength into the upper shuriken proportionally. It was no easy task for her given the fact that techniques taught were all usable to her. With the help of a tattered scroll from a skeleton, she had been throwing 2 shuirkens for weeks at different angles. The reason that technique needed only 2 shuirkens was partly due to its simplicity. Yuri had decided that her fingers could handle something additional given her new-found ability that compensated for her lack of nature affinity.

She prepared herself again with the work of 2 handseals and closes her eyes for a brief moment. She told herself that 2 shuirkens are good, but the third in the nick of time will be perfect. She made it an effort to achieve her purpose as she opens her eyes and firms her grip on the shuriken appropriately. Here it comes Applying the strength needed carefully again, Yuri let go of the 2 shuriken when the time was right. This is when her desire to throw a third shuriken peaked as chakra surged all over her in a natural manner, her left hand forced a tool of her thinking, a smaller shuriken with her ability. Her focus was entirely at the thin space that exist between the thrown shurikens as she carefully throws the only shuriken left in her possession. As the throw was completed, she took a step back. She was shocked at how the action did not require as much effort out of the sudden as her feet slides while going backwards. It feels like a flicker of pace that she could grasp in return of a rush in using the technique. She smiled at the answer that lies at the end.

Ever since the accidental fall worth a hundred meters high, Yuri has a little more grasp towards her disguised blessing. She is able to lighten herself now, much like a few of her past comrade who uses earth release techniques as their main source of fighting power. In the past, she used to see them to do and admire from a distance. But now, she could finally feel how it felt to be the one having the sense of accomplishment. She thought it was the end of her limps a few days ago, but it proved otherwise with her inner will pulled off something amazing. She lost balance and began floating on the air that gave her enough time to catch the steep surface before she went down fast for real.

This discovery give her a new idea for a technique that uses this simple bit of weight manipulation for a really short period of time the next day. With that incident and her work of memory, it didn't take her too long to figure that her main hand seal was similar to that of the earth techniques. Her thrill for the next technique contributed to her speed of mastery as it almost became her second nature due to its simplicity with her gift. The 2 hand seals was repeatedly done so rapidly that it soon became apparent to her that she would feel how the techniques was executed internally step by step. On the ground, her steps were floating, on air it would be as though she was sitting on a swing. But it was time to listen to her body, she had one last try left before she would kneel to take a rest. On the other hand, it would seems she would be able to execute with a much greater degree of understanding given the amount of tries that lasted the entire morning. She closed her eyes and focused for one last time and simply stood still.

She left the ground by a few meters.

However, a second after she opened her eyes to see the results of her training. She panted heavily and almost fell flat to the ground. Not one of her best days, but at least the feel was there to gave her instant execution of the jutsu which saves her the slight delay for evasion and amplifying its uses for more of what she can learn from herself in near future.

Making the jutsu shoot a kunai/shuriken in front direction.

The land that once contained a force to be respected....destroyed by a volcano? Yuri was in her easy wondering about this ambitious thought of hers when her focus suddenly shifted as a kunoichi charged at her with a swing of her katana. Fast as the attack was guided by the body flicker technique, but still, Yuri simply lowered herself and did a leg sweep that surpassed the reaction required to evade the incoming attack. Drawing the blade as though a single strike would settle the fight, Yuri was still not as smooth in going for the kill. The katana got stuck at the ground for a second when Yuri slit the throat of what turned out to be an earth clone. The next attack came from behind within distance When Yuri threw her katana towards the target. Yuri quickly turned around and focused. With each boar hand seal followed by a monkey and bird one with her new level of understanding attained from her practice of hidden arms technique, a seal appeared at the sword. The blade was deflected as a kunai shot out towards the left, it was not intended by Yuri as she wasn't too happy with the results as the timing was off as well.

The kunoichi was someone Yuri met previously. As she closes down on Yuri, her left hand grew bigger and turned into an earthly color, it stopped growing when the arm was half as big as an old tree. Despite the size, the punch had no lack of speed even though Yuri could anticipate the move and dodged the attack leaving herself 2 feet away from the enlarged fist. She placed an explosive tag at the fist instantaneously and stepped on it to jump back. Her opponent could not make a safe landing as the explosion blew her meters backwards while having to deal with the stones shot at her. Yuri used this time to retrieve her blade and threw at the opponent the moment she had firm grip on it. She began the hand seals again as she focused, her opponent only managed to land on one feet when she saw the incoming blade. Her blade on the right hand was ready to get that deflected again when she could not react to the shuriken that sprang out from the sword and went forward to get her neck seemingly hit for a moment. Yuri smiled even though she knew she missed the target. She quickly went forward to retrieve her Christmas gift before her opponent could attack again.
