Making the jutsu shoot a kunai/shuriken in back direction.

Ever since the hit on the earth clone. Yuri had been holding onto the feel of the technique that happened at the moment of heat. She had been training to have an extra kunai to be shot out to the front from the initial one she threw. She began training by herself early in the morning at somewhere near to where to the location if the ruin. On a certain tree, there was at least 20 marks on its trunk to prove her progress over the mastery of the advancement she made. It was not the best but it ensured that this is usable against future opponents. 3 hours had passed since Yuri started as she felt that she could go an extra mile for something better from her own judgement with her chakra levels included.

Fortunately, her stomach did not make any sound yet as she sat down to take a 15 minutes break before continuing. This is when her memory re-winded again as she revised her theory in her mind. With her eyes closed, she paused for a moment as her peace of mind overwhelmed her for a few seconds. She felt recharged again for another round of aiming. She stood up and went forward with her hand seals done quicker than before through practice after throwing a shuriken. She was standing in front of her wooden target.

The shuriken went downwards and hit the ground. The first try didn't went as expected. She wanted her own technique to be aiming for her.

Rushing herself for another try isn't the best choice as she looked to the front with focus. Her vision did not move even an inch as her hands cuts the stale air around her waist, ready for another try again. She swings her pair of hands up again and formed hand seals, this time it was slower, giving time for her thoughts to catch up on her plan. As the last hand seal was done with the shuriken already on its way forward, all her attention went to the shuriken.

The seal formed on the shuriken as usual, Yuri's could felt her vision slowing down as if it really did in the real world. A kunai shot out in the reverse direction where the shuriken went. Her excitement at this moment was barely contained inside of her as a smile surfaced. However, danger followed as she had forgotten the fact that the kunai is coming at her now. It took her 3 seconds to remember her aim from the technique as she found herself too late to be evading her own technqiue now. Her right hand bled in the end parrying the kunai.

Like how she would get the feel for making a shot at the front direction, Yuri got good at making a shot at the back with the same way, except for not being engaged in combat. But it would seems that her opponent got persistent in her pursuit as Yuri was snoring while resting up on a tree when she heard footsteps. Her eyes opened immediately and she turned behind and looked down. It was the one who helped her to start using her technique. Yuri thought by staying put she could get away from combat. She was wrong.

Luckily, her reaction saved her life as a direct attack was made to her neck with a katana immediately. She didn't have the time to draw her's. She could only use her right leg and kick the blade upwards, making her body slide down the truck while still lying on it. The attack landed at the trunk instead as Yuri rolled to her right to find space for preparations while falling down. Yuri forgot the one she saw below as the opponent turned around and did a swinging kick upwards. Yuri must land on the ground first as she assumed the one who attacked her above was the original one. She was wrong again as she caught onto the leg of what she thought was the clone as she slammed both of her palms at the ground. A spike came from below Yuri swiftly as she channeled her chakra to make her light as feather avoiding the pointed end of the spike and going 30 meters away from it in a second.

The clone jumped down from above at this moment when Yuri was in balance as it rushed at Yuri. Yuri could see it as a diversion but this time, she would try to surprise her again as she could see the real opponent behind the clone. She created a pair kunai in an instant from her palms as she threw one of the them at the clone and one at her ground. She would think that the clone would also dodge the kunai as well as the kunai headed to the original opponent who was around 50 meters away from Yuri's judgement.

Both would dodge her kunai as she would anticipate. The clone was within meters from her now as Yuri reached for her kunai, she did not intend to pick it up as an explosive tag was placed at the kunai within the second she had a grip on it. Acting like she did not have reaction to take her weapon, she jumped backwards as the clone got to the position where the kunai is and swings a punch. The clone got blown to bits as Yuri strained her eyes for the kunai that was still on air. Her opponent looked to be in the position to dodge to her right when Yuri had a foot on the ground with a cloud of dust in front of her due to the explosion. She was confident that she is still within range as she executed her technique with pure instinct. Another kunai shot out heading in the left direction from its parent projectile. It hit her opponent's left arm as she went forward with slamming her palms on a ground which formed a rushing dragon towards Yuri. Yuri took this as a chance to retreat as the dragon came to crush a log with Yuri getting away as fast as she could. Her opponent knew very well that Yuri did not have the ability to launch attacks on a large scale due to her past with her and could double confirm with the recent fights Yuri got on. She had no choice but to let her get away again due to her wound.

The last fighting took place not far away from another village as Yuri set foot into it and had a relief since no one would be reckless enough to make a mess in from of the eyes of many. Fortunately the combat engagement was short enough to recover just by walking towards this settlement. Yuri went around the village for the direction of an open area slowly, but never did she know that she lost tactically hands down; The kunoichi that pursued her was looking from the top of a 3 floor building smiled.

Being unaware of the coming surprise, Yuri made her way through a road that had no turns as an area large and flat enough for her training unfolds in front of her vision. It was at least 200 meters away from the village and there were a few dummies for her techniques to be trained to aim for. But before she starts to train, she had decided to take a rest as she found a rock big enough for her to rest on. She thought that maybe a nap would work better and closes her eyes. This was when she could feel someone around the area. She acts as though she was unaware of it as someone rose from the ground from the back of her view and catches onto her shoulder. She was ready to counter it when she saw the pursuer eyes' wide open. Yuri isn't surprised.

The kunoichi turned out to be one of her sister-in-arms before the joint attack that separated them years ago. Yuri briefly apologize for the hurt that she had caused and explains her situation. So, it turns out that you were groomed even further, i'm sure that you could continue to help me like you did along? She nodded as Yuri kicks off with her training, pointing to those targets were prepared by her for Yuri.

Along the way, she gave some pointers to Yuri while Yuri is trying to perfect the fourth and last direction of her new technique, explaining to her that the first direction would always had the most difficulty since the others wold only require a slight change in performance. It apparently accelerated Yuri's learning as Yuri wasn't being taught by anyone ever since she was alone as Yuri perfected the right and last direction desired within a much shorter time period; A kunai was thrown aiming at the left of the target shot a shuriken out to its right and hit the target after just an hour of training in the end.

Using the jutsu without hand seals.

By the wave of her hand, Yuri bid farewell to her long-lost friend as she returns to her duties. It has been quite a while since someone important in her life talked to her. Yuri could see how refined she was by this point of time having served as a ninja for Iwa ever since the separation. Capturing is harder than killing, which explained why she could find herself getting away from a ninja with a few folds more of skills. Previous engagements were never fair in a way since Yuri has the advantage of needed to be alive by her pursuer. Still, life has to move on as Yuri felt that she go one step further to improve her technique. It has been a day since both of them traded blows to witness each other's progress.

Yuri ate what she had before she walked to the same training area again. She looked around, it looked different this time as a few more bigger targets were raised due to the spar that happened yesterday. Rocks were raised to different kinds of model to be used against her. She was quite happy that she had this experience of fighting a doton user, it was one of the rare time in her case. But furthermore, it gave her tip required to achieve her purpose faster today. Thoughts were shifted aside shortly as Yuri began with her training.

At first, she started a few attempts of the technique on all 4 directions. By this point of time, all the targets she aimed at were decently shot with most of them hitting the poor 1.5 meters tall dummy's body with a few shots getting its head. Knowing that chakra is limited, she stopped to take a break before going on with the next part planned for and by herself. In her head, she refreshes herself with her understanding of the technique while looking spaced out from her looks. She went forward with only 2 handseals all of a sudden as the pair of tools came out smoothly again as she threw them forward. She takes her time as the shurikens is out on air. As soon as she thinks they were about 60 meters away from her, she started executing the next technique. One of the shuriken got deflected by another one which is shot from the other in close range. Yuri didn't look too happy but she could grasp her mistake immediately, largely due to the help given. She quickly went with the next attempt again as it brings her mastery of the technique to a close by early afternoon.

Its time that she feels the need to be leaving this area before anymore trouble could follow as she left for an unknown destination in the evening.
