Sparring with Masato (Private, No Kill)

Banteki watched as 3 clones ran up the tree and attempted to grab his arms, making him incapable of performing hand seals necessary for some techniques. One would grab the arm that held his katana, Banteki would fire off his fingertips straight into this clone easily, as he was right next to his arm, Banteki would almost be able to touch him with his fingertips. To do this however, he would drop his katana so that it stuck into the branch beneath him. He would fire the fingertips from his other hand directly upwards at the clone above him, so it would have to retreat and not make an attempt on him. Banteki would hear Denkiteki utter a threat, but he was not scared, he assumed that he was just trying to end the fight, Denkiteki didn’t seem like somebody who would intentionally hurt Banteki. Besides, if this next attempt failed, he would surrender immediately, he would be too tired to continue. The clone above him would have to make a dodge to avoid the bullets, they were to dispersed to block with his sword. Banteki grab his katana from the tree and form two clones. They would all jump down to the spot beneath them where Denkiteki was standing, scrambling their positions in the air as they went. When upon Denkiteki, they would perform the Heaven’s Slam technique with immense strength. Banteki knew that Denkiteki could not summon a hole again because the were on the tree. There would be three manifestations of Banteki side by side, all 5 feet apart, appearing to perform the technique. If Denkiteki dodged to the right from the center manifestation, the ‘Banteki’ on the right would hit him. If he dodged left, the ‘Banteki’ on the left would hit him. If he stayed put, the would all be upon him and hit him. Anywhere Denkiteki went that was within 5 meters, or 15 feet of them, one of the ‘Bantekis’ would hit him. If Banteki did make contact, he would slash from Denkiteki’s right shoulder, down to his left hip. He would either have to take them all out at once, or pick one that he thought was the real one to take out. Seeing that the clones and Banteki were still under the shade of the tree, Denkiteki would not be able to see that the clones were not causing shadows, making him unable to tell which was the real one. Due to the immense strength of the Heaven’s Slam technique, if Denkiteki was hit, it would end the fight for sure. Banteki was proud that he had even made it this far, he had already tired out a full blown chunnin and forced him to use a substitution technique, also managing to avoid several B-rank jutsu. He knew that if he could get this far against a chunnin, he could surely beat somebody who shared a similar level of experience with him. In truth, Banteki was not really expecting to see this next maneuver work, but he was still hopeful and was going to give it his best shot. He was hoping to at least push Denkiteki to the point where he would have to use a very powerful jutsu to emerge victorious. Banteki was hopeful.

Denkiteki would watch from near the end of the branch as Banteki began to loosen his grip on his sword, so that he would be able to shoot his clone grabbing his arm. He would also be moving his other hand to shoot at the clone above him. Denkiteki’s first instinct was to rush forward and kick Banteki in the chest while both of his arms were preoccupied. But a thought crept into his mind, and Denkiteki reached into his kunai holster, and as the bullets left Banteki’s fingertips Denkiteki would throw his kunai at the hand shooting at the clone above Banteki. If the weapon hit it’s mark, which it might because Banteki was preoccupied shooting at both of his clone, the kunai would go straight through his hand and into the trunk of the tree behind him.

Despite the kunai moving all of the way through his hand, the wound would not be to serious. The muscles that would allow him to move his fingers would remain in tact, though he would start bleeding through both of the holes in his hand.

The clone grabbing Banteki’s sword was hit by the bullets, regardless of what happened, however the one above Banteki would simply hop off of the trunk of the tree, to land on the branch right after the kunai would hit Banteki’s hand.

If Banteki attempted to move his other hand to shoot finger bullets, the clone would unsheathe it’s sword and grab his arm, making sure to grab him by the wrist and force his hand to point up in the air. It would then point it’s sword at Banteki’s chest, though it would make no move to strike no matter what Banteki did.

“Is it over now? Sorry about the hand, an idea popped into my head though.” Denkiteki would not divulge the thought that had convinced him to throw the kunai, but if his attack worked and if Banteki surrendered her would walk over to him and help remove the kunai, making sure to be careful. He had bandages with him to, so he would be able to wrap up the hand if Banteki wanted him to. “You still might want to see a doctor though, to be safe.” If Banteki allowed him to bandage him to apply the bandages, he would pull out his scalpel and try and cut off some of his loose skin from the cut so that it didn't get in the wound.

Banteki would kill one of the clones, but he would feel a searing pain as the kunai stuck through his hand into the tree. He knew that his fight was over now, seeing that every technique he knew originated from his hands. He was a bit stunned that the chunnin had taken it so far, seeing that he could have ended the fight much easier with a lot less pain, but he might have done the same thing if he was put in that situation. He gazed at his hand in awe for a second, never really feeling pain to that extent, before saying, "I surrender". Denkiteki would come over and remove the kunai from Banteki's hand carefully, he would then cut off the extra skin so the cut didn't get infected. Banteki was a bit dissapointed that he didn't remain fighting for longer than he did, but he was also proud of himself for coming so far. He had caused the Kiri chunnin to use multiple high level jutsu and even a substitution. He could tell by looking at his opponent that he was already pretty tired; he had been forced to take the spar to a higher level to claim victory. Banteki would not have felt this same sense of pride had Denkiteki had been a genin like him, he probably would have been kicking himself, but since he was a higher level, much more experienced shinobi, Banteki felt good about prolonging the fight this far. Banteki knew that if he could bring a chunnin to this point, he could easily defeat somebody sharing his own low rank and inexperience.

Denkiteki had used two B-Ranks, one C-Rank, and the substitution jutsu during the fight. It was a lot more than he had planned on, but it hadn’t affected his chakra reserves but so much. I am a bit tired though. Once I get rid of this other shadow clone I should be fine. I wish I didn’t have to divide my chakra every time I make a clone, it makes using jutsu difficult.

Denkitkei released the clone after fixing up Banteki’s hand. The clones remaining chakra returned to his body, and the bit of chakra fatigue he felt was gone. Much better.

“Remember to get that checked, I’m no doctor. But you should be fine for the return trip to Konoha. I think I’m going to start heading back to my village, I have a lot of business there.” Denkiteki said as he put the kunai he had thrown at Banteki back in the holster, neglecting to clean it.

Jumping off of the branch, Denkiteki waved to Banteki before landing softly on his feet on the ground below. As he walked away he put the loose skin in his pocket, as disgusting as the idea was to him. He tried to make it look like he threw it on the ground, once he was on the ground it would be hard for Banteki to see the skin fall from his hand. This might help the village though, I’ve never seen anyone use a jutsu like that… Denkiteki thought to himself, he wondered just how powerful those finger bone bullet things were. [

i]As long as he doesn’t notice that I didn’t discard the skin, I might be able to get away with this.[/i] he didn’t know if Banteki would be okay with him taking a sample of his DNA, so he didn’t bother asking.

Denkiteki felt bad about stealing the kid’s DNA, so he turned around and yelled to him, “Maybe we can spar again sometime, once you’ve gotten stronger. You have got talent, you just need to train some more. Maybe next time I won’t have to hold back!” he said smiling, hiding his guiltiness behind a genuine desire to fight the kid again once he got stronger.

Denkitkei would then turn around and continue heading towards a dock where a ship was waiting for him, to take him back to his village.

Banteki would feel a brief, sharp pain as he felt the scalpel cutting off his dead skin, he would wince. Denkiteki would bandage the wound up for the time being, but Banteki would still take his advice about seeing a doctor, he could never be too cautious, and he didn't want to get infected. Banteki would see the Kiri chunnin jump off the tree and make his way back to his village, waving to Banteki. “Maybe we can spar again sometime, once you’ve gotten stronger. You have got talent, you just need to train some more. Maybe next time I won’t have to hold back!” He would hear Denkiteki call out. It made Banteki feel good to hear the much more skilled chunnin acknowledge his talent. Banteki would also take his advice about the training, so he could beat Denkiteki in the future. "I'll be looking forward to it too," Banteki called back "Haha, but don't think it will be so easy for you next time, I'll beat you for sure" After saying this, Banteki would make his way back to his village, where he would rest a bit before continuing his training. He had had a good day, and he was proud of himself for having the guts to fight a chunnin. Banteki knew for sure that he was a great shinobi inside, he just needed to train very hard to achieve his true potential. He knew he could do it. He knew he could beat Denkiteki. Deep inside, Banteki knew that he would encounter Denkiteki again, but not just as a sparring opponent, but as a comrade. He had liked Denkiteki very much and was looking forward to the day when he would see him again. Banteki would jump from the tree and make his way into the sunset, back to his village.
