Sparring On The Borders. {Private, No kill}
Fri Mar 15, 2013 3:19 am
Inijo walked on the borders located in between the surrounding shinobi nations. He sighed, it was a rather peaceful day. At the moment, he was simply wandering outside of his village, Kumogakure, the Village Hidden In The Clouds. It was one of the five more major nations which contained a shinobi village within it's borders. He was wearing rather simple clothing, a simple brown shirt, with long sleeves. He wore brown pants to match the color, they reached down to his ankles. He wore shoes, though they had a bit of an open top. There was a strap that connected to one side, it wasn't removable from that side, and could attach and deattach there.
It was a rather nice day, the clouds above head drifted rather slowly as the wind blew calmly along to the north. The sun was shining rather brightly, though a few clouds eventually cast shade around the surrounding lands, large shadows that cooled down the area slightly. Inijo was walking slowly through a small forest, tree's were planted every few feet apart, he could sense their chakra. Every living being had something known as a chakra signature, it allowed for Inijo to search for a quick threat in the area, so long as said threat was within range in the first place. So far there were no little animals, or large ones, that he has noticed through scanning for chakra. He mainly does this to be safe, due to the fact he is far from his village, Kumogakure. On his left leg he carried something similar to a Kunai carrying pack, though he held his special chopsticks in them.

You are exploring the world before you join a team to start rising up in the world. This may be the last time you get to travel to just travel, rather than having some other task to go with it. The ring on your finger weighs you down slightly, but nothing noticeable. You felt like traveling as your male form this day, exploring the world. It meant you got places a little slower, but that wasn't that much of a problem. You wanted to explore the world and take in everything. Speed wasn't needed for that.
Today had brought you somewhere near Kumogakure, a fair ways away from where your clan was currently residing. Trees grew alongside the roads, and clouds drifted through the bright, cheery day. Someone was walking near you. You start to walk towards them, having nothing better to do. "Hello" you say, waving your right hand, the one with the ring on it. Your shirt is a relatively plain red one, and your pants are somewhere between khakis and jeans. You search for any possible identifying markers on the person, while at the same time realizing you do not possess a headband or the like yourself. You should probably take it with you next time you leave Funkagakure since you are on a genin team there and all. Oh well you think, continuing to walk towards the person, stopping only a short bit away from them.

Inijo walked, he was rather enjoying the nice weather. Everything seemed rather peaceful today. The dirt path below him was rather smooth, he could feel little to no bumps every five minutes or so. About four hours had passed since Inijo began to journey a bit away from the village. The calm breezes of wind somewhat relaxed Inijo was he walked, this was the kind of peaceful moments he had rather enjoyed in his life.
It wasn't long before he had sensed a moving chakra signature in the very forest he walked in. Could it have been a human? He doubted it, he seemed to be the only one out here, though that was no real reason, he had to be cautious. He was thinking to himself as he closed his eyes, the chakra signature still a ways away. It was about ten minutes away, he had time to think a battle plan through. 'Hello.' He heard, a few minutes later. His eyes were already opened once he realized the signature had gotten closer, time seemingly moving a bit faster. "Hi. I'm Inijo.." He said, somewhat revealing a cautious tone in his voice. "Who are you?" He asked, mainly due to suspicion. Inijo saw no sign on the boy which told him where he was from. He sighed in his thoughts, not letting it go out loud. It was possible this was just a wandering citizen. Though why would he be wandering? Inijo thought in his head. The boy seemed to have no baggage, no suitcases. Perhaps he planned on 'roughing it' as most preferred to call it. He considered it rather extreme to go out into the wild without anything, and expect to sleep out there for a week or so, maybe a few days. Whatever the boy's case may be, Inijo remained cautious around him, expecting the day of peace to soon come to chaos, as all days in the life of a shinobi usually did.

You catch the cautious tone in the voice of this new person. It is odd, but not truly unexpected. The boy then asks a standard follow up question. "I am Rei" you say, making sure to use a light tone. "I'm traveling a bit before I.. hmm... settle down doesn't seem like the right word. But it kinda works. Oh well, before I "settle down" into a genin squad in Funkagakure. I've always wanted to see the world without going there with fourty other people. Figured I'd see a little now, and hopefully the rest later. So, what are you doing in this neck of the woods?" You stand a bit away from the person, a close enough distance to engage in casual conversation, but not so close to be too close. Your hands are crossed behind your back. You stand up straight, looking towards the new person, a small smile on your face.

He heard the boy, Rei, speak his name. He sighed once more in his head as he explained about why he was here. Apparently he was just exploring, as Inijo had been. The boy was from the village Funkagakure, the Volcano Village. He's a genin also, that or a Jounin, becoming a sensei of a genin squad. It was more likely the boy, due to his age appearance, was a genin however. Rei asked why Inijo was in the woods as well. He wondered, should he lie and say he was on a mission? If he said he was traveling, it might be possible for Rei to discover Inijo was traveling alone. Should Rei have any allies nearby, and wished to go out killing.. no, he doubted it. He couldn't sense anyone else near by. "I'm simply exploring, or traveling as well." He said, in a more calm, relieved voice than last time.

"Cool," you say. You have been somewhat bored the last few days. All you did was stop in small towns to stay the night and walk through forests. You noticed the Kumogakure headband awhile ago. "Hey, you are a ninja too, and I have been dreadfully bored the past few days. The scenery looks all the same. Want to spar?" As you say that, you jump back. Your hands are a little apart, ready to crash together if the other agrees. This form is more limited than your other, but it offers interesting benefits if the circumstances are right. Here's hoping these circumstances were right. "Well, you gonna join me?" you would say if the other person did not show signs of engaging or disengaging from the proposal.

Inijo heard Rei requesting a spar. It had slightly sparked his attention, though ruined some peace. He expected the peace to be ruined at some point, and had already accepted that fact. He simply grinned at the boy as he jumped back. Inijo stared at the boy, his grin remaining. "Sure" Inijo said, beginning to perform some hand signs. He was performing a simple technique. After finishing the hand signs, he would be concealed by the earth, moving more towards Rei. His chakra sensing abilities remained, so he could tell when he would need to speed up, or to back up, or whatever was needed.

You smile as the person agrees, but you are not able to form the seals before they disappear underground. Then, realizing that he disappeared underground, you immediately recognize the danger. Underground means invisible means easy attack you thought right before you jumped onto the first branch of the nearest tree, which had been just about a foot away from you. Perched upon the branch, you watched below, waiting for the person to appear. Here's hoping that he can't come up through the tree you think before bringing your hands closer together into the first of the two seals. "Come one, come out, wherever you are" you say. "Do you want to play too?"
With how fast his hands moved, he is likely a good bit faster than you. Your other form might very well stand a better chance of defeating him. However, you stick with the current form, hoping your plan would succeed. The wind blows by you face as a cloud covers the sun far above, as if the canopy didn't already block enough of its warming rays.

The chakra went higher, the boy hoped in the tree branches above. It is unlikely that Rei can trace Inijo, if so, he is lucky and can use this fact to his advantage. He began to work his way around the tree the boy was sitting in. With what little luck, the boy would notice. Inijo began to climb out from the ground silently, face coming out first. He kept an eye on the boy the entire time. He began to rush out, he began to think of a technique to use... did he have any long ranged?.. no.. He would need to improvise without any long ranging items or techniques.

You see your opponent/partner/whatever they are coming out of the ground. Quickly. Judging by their eyes, they are watching you. Maybe this person has sensing you think. Your logic is that the person was able to follow your movements. Now, it could be any sort of sensing. You hoped for chakra sensing. Those were fun matchups. Normally only worked for a moment, but it was always awesome when it did. However, hopefully this would be simple and not require a transformation. Two hand seals. That is all you needed. Two hand seals and a bit of luck. If the boy continued looking at you, he would be caught, if the conditions were right. But they weren't. The conditions weren't right. The technique would not stick. It would not even hit in the first place. Then again, if the person didn't remain looking at you, you would recognize their speed vastly outpaced yours currently. There was really only one choice. You jump back and, mid air, preform a hand seal, similar to the first of the substitution technique. Within a puff of smoke, you transform. Of course, this was no simple transformation technique. This was your clans kekkai genkai. You would be unable to use your genjutsu for a period, but you would live with that. Of course, that wouldn't matter if your ploy worked. Here is why you hoped your opponent had chakra sensing: your signature had just changed. And, a clever part of your plan was to fall stomach first to the ground, landing with a thud and an ow, followed immediately by pushing yourself up and going "where the hell am I?" With any luck, your trap would stick and the person would let down their guard. With really really bad luck, they had a physical sensing ability, not chakra one, and would likely just assume that you had used the transformation technique. Here goes nothing... you think as you stand up.
