Some D-Ranked Missions

Flash rolled out of bed, happy that his usual feeling of sluggishness and fatigue had passed him bye since his treatment the day before. Flash threw on his track suit and Free-Runs and went downstairs to eat, neglecting to shower. Flash wanted nothing more than to go out and play with his friends today, as he had not been able to do this since infancy and now he could. However, another thing that Flash had never been able to do, was do missions like the rest of his friends in the academy, something that he felt he had been missing out on for years. Not only would missions give him some of his own pocket change and he would not have to rely on his mother for ryo anymore, but also, it was an important part of learning to be a ninja. Flash ate his usual breakfast of eggs, toast, and orange juice, said goodbye to his parents, and made his way out the door. He went downtown looking for somebody who could provide him with a mission. After a few minutes of searching, he came across a jounin who instructed him to scout the village for any suspicious looking individuals and report back if he saw anything. Glad to help his village, Flash set out on this task. He walked around town, through shadowy alleys, behind shops, through parks, he did not find anything. Flash was ready to call it a day and head back home when he realized that there was one place he had not checked, the industrial district. The industrial district was a modern and regal looking area of Tengakure with tall, majestic skyscrapers and people clad in suits and ties, rarely were there any ninja who were not on official business lurking around here. Flash spent a few minutes scanning the shadowy area, looking for anybody he might deem suspicious. After a few minutes of looking Flash spotted a man clad in some sort of metal-plated shinobi armor lurking through the shadow cast by the towering buildings. This man did not have a Tengakure headband, yet he had shinobi armor and a shuriken holster on his left leg. Flash thought about confronting the man himself, he was about 50 meters away. However, seeing that the man was about 25 and Flash was only a child, not even in double digits, he thought better of it. Flash ran back to the main part of the village to find the jounin who had assigned him this task, telling him of the strange and mysterious man he saw lurking about the industrial district. Flash was glad to pass the information into a higher authority’s hands, there was no way he was getting involved in this one anymore. Even though Flash had only taken a D-Rank mission, he felt proud of himself, convinced that he had been in a situation of true danger. He walked home with a grin on his face, eager to tell his parents about today’s exploits.
