Mad scientist
http://naruto-role-play-rpg.forumotion.com/t11817-various-missions
The strong and resilient Jounin, known as Ganki, would be heading over to the kumogakure mission department. Ganki had received a mission today that demanded his attention; it had been a while since he was offered a mission. Due to Ganki’s busy agenda with forming a suitable team, however, this time he wouldn’t be alone on this task. He would be accompanied by another fellow Kumogakure ninja, a rare chance at that. Once Ganki arrived at the mission building, the rendezvous point to where the two were suppose to meet, he would wait for his ally to arrive. They were both already briefed with the mission details, this mission would be somewhat of a challenge. Apparently, the mission department had finally discovered enough information to bring in this so called “Mad Scientist.” The information revealed that this particular, cruel being, has been experimenting on the livestock of the village. Though the experimentation of the livestock was still a mystery, this mad person must be stop from continuing on any further. Ganki would lean against the building walls as he would patiently wait for his partner to arrive. “This will be the first time I get to work with another ninja on mission, looks like teamwork will have to be taken in to account.

Hanzo wasn't in too much of a rush because he knew he'd be on time, it was rare that he was late on such important matters as village security, he didn't gander however, and ran towards the rendezvous point at a steady pace, he felt ready, it had been a while since he had been on an actual mission, and he presumed he'd finally be meeting one of the Jounin in Kumogakure, a rare occasion seeing as there were hardly any ninja in Kumogakure, it was no longer the beautiful, powerful and memorable village it once was centuries ago, which was unfortunate, it sort of saddened him to see this village in such a state, but it was still considered one of the major villages despite its' sharp decline in power.
You were given the briefing a while back, turns out it was about apprehending some form of rogue scientist performing operations on the village's livestock, for god knows what reason but he was listed as an enemy of the state and was to be apprehended, and those were the sorts of missions he enjoyed the most, as it involved overpowering your opponent, and being recognized for apprehending someone who was deemed as a threat just made the experience all the more rewarding.
He finally found out the rendezvous point, he was on time though so it wasn't a problem, he stopped in front of his superior, bowing politely.
"I'm Hanzo, your mission partner, as I'm sure you've seen from the briefing."
He simply responded, he never really liked lengthy introductions, he'd soon learn what kind of person Hanzo was anyway, he wasn't a cocky sort of person but he knew that his skills were not to be underestimated by any ninja, being the only member of a clan that disappeared millennia ago, which also helped disguise his abilities against a more astute enemy, your Kekkei Genkai, Kitaikyugan wasn't anything to mess around with, manipulation and formation of noxious gases was a rather mean element and you were sure that you were going to use these to weaken the said scientist unless he did have some form of protection, such as a gas mask, but such apparel is rare in the Shinobi world.
"Do you have a particular plan strategy?" he asked, although this wasn't crucial as he'd usually pick up on the plan of attack by analyzing his comrade's movements and acting in the corresponding way so as to assist him, teamwork was essential if you were going to be introduced to a team, something the village so sorely lacked, having him accept Hanzo as a student would be a honor, but it was better to not think so rationally right now, his time would surely come, as his destiny awaited hiù, much to how oblivious he was to what it would be.

The jounin would hear the footsteps of someone; he would tilt his head upwards to see the moving figure. While leaning on the wall he would observe the figure, he would smile a bit as he would finally meet his partner. Hanzo was his name; he would bow towards Ganki in respect, presumably due to his rank, or maybe because of his personality. Ganki would see that he would have to straighten up for his mission, as well as to fit his title. Ganki would cease to lean against the wall as he would nod his head as well, returning the gesture of respect. “Hanzo is it? Well it’s a pleasure to meet you, Im Ganki, your partner as well, but now it’s time to get to work.”, Ganki would say in a focused tone of voice, maybe the next meeting could be a social one.
Ganki would then walk towards Hanzo as they were now 5 feet from each other, he would explain the current motive. “Now, as far as we know, the supposed Mad Scientist is experimenting on the village livestock. Since we don’t know where the Scientist’s base is located, we will have to catch him in the act. So for now, we will have to head towards each and every part of the village that is occupied by raised animals, even if they’re simple pet shop. Search every area or occupy it until you find something. This mad man must be stopped at once.” Ganki would slowly reach into his left pocket and attempt to give Hanzo a headset piece. It would be used to communicate with one another throughout the village, a useful device. If taken Ganki would then walk the opposite direction of Hanzo, but not before exchanging a few more words. “And one more thing, if you happen to catch the man in action, don’t subdue him just yet, just send word to me and I will meet up to your location.” Ganki would stop for a moment and turn around to Hanzo, to see his input on Ganki’s current plan. “It would be wise to follow the enemy in order to lead us towards their base, to see if the Mad Scientist is operating alone, would it not? Or we could simply capture the individual right then and there on the spot; since you are my partner in this mission, you have equal say in this matter as well.” Ganki would not only give Hanzo this choice, but would also test and see which option he would choice, for choosing an option would give Ganki a idea on what type of person Hanzo was.
“The choice is yours Hanzo.”

It was neccessary to be respectful to someone who bestowed a higher rank than him, it was only fair really since they worked so hard to earn their positions, and also it was merely because of his respectful personality, that was just who he was, there wasn't really a reason as to why he gave his superiors this respect it was probably just because they deserved it, and also because manners were important when addressing to a superior, nonetheless, he listened attentively to his words, it turned out his name was Ganki, he thought he remembered such a name being written on the briefing but it was nice to know anyway.
"It's a pleasure."
He simply responded, before hearing out Ganki's plans, he seemed as if he thought a lot of things out, and things that would be crucial to this mission's success, including investigating instead of running around and pillaging certain localizations in order to find the enemy, it was much better to just try and gather information with as little violence or urgency as possible, while this was something that should be done as quickly as possible, investigation was not something to be rushed and time should be taken to analyze each and every little aspect which could reveal incredibly important things which could completely change the way the mission is done and also gather vital information about the target, he was not going to object to his suggestions, as that was pretty much the exact same approach he was going to take.
"This means basically the outskirts and the zones of the village with a higher altitude, if we manage to discover the areas which this scientist has already attacked, we may be able to predict his next hit spot." He suggested, it may be safer to just wait this mission out instead of going so head on, if people started asking questions out of the blue it could arouse suspicion, and words travel quickly from ear to ear, there wasn't that much livestock in Kumo anyway due to its' rocky environment, so simply trying to predict their location could be pretty easy and save a lot of time.
He took the headset from Ganki's outstretched palm and attached it on his ear where it was supposed to be, masking most of the wire with his scarf so it wasn't too easy to spot if enemy spies were lurking around to see if anyone caught onto them.
"In my opinion whether we follow the said enemy or whether we capture him may not make that much of a difference, while if we captured him we could make him reveal any extra plans that this scientist had planned, or even any treasures or items that have been discovered or stolen, and besides, I have a few ways of making people talk." Hanzo gave his point of view on the opinion, while following the enemy was a very good idea, raiding a base after following someone may leave out vital information which could pay dividends if collected, only his subordinates know of what he has done, and it was better to be as well-informed as possible.
"As a superior officer I would usually let you decide our course of action, but I recommend going on the lay-low and quietly investigating the livestock, and then waiting it out for a culprit, capturing him and then interrogating him, but that opinion is merely mine, and as leader you have every right to change orders." He spoke, you felt the pressure of taking the decision which could very much impact the success or failiure of this mission, but he thought about the possibilities hard and decided that he would stand by his opinion.

While listening to Hanzo, he would discover a few key things about him. Ganki could see that in Hanzo, Hanzo would choose to capture the enemy on sight, rather than follow the enemy towards their base. That way, he could gather information about not only the subject, but also knowledge about the hideout out as well, a very insightful choice Ganki thought to himself. Ganki also raised his eyes a bit to Hanzo’s remark about getting people to talk; he couldn’t wait to see how that would happen. “Then it would seem that we will carry out both are suggestions, we will split up and investigate the areas of choice, and if we manage to spot any unusual activity, or capture any suspects that are deemed suspicious, then we will radio each other to alert one another.” After Ganki would run through the plan, he would casually walk off towards his previous direction and begin to investigate. “Good luck on your part.”
Moments later, as Ganki left his partner to carry out the mission; Ganki would find himself on the near outskirts of the village. Ganki had found an old rag hood coat that would not only cover his ninja uniform, but would also hide his face and head set piece, with his face mask to help too. Ganki’s outward appearance would mock a lonely Sheppard. It was a way to monitor his surroundings, to keep track of the herds that seemed to be led by other herdsmen. For now, he would stroll idly by, to see if any strange activity should take place.
Whenever Hanzo would position himself at his desired location, he would receive a message from Ganki via radio. “Im currently patrolling an area, there haven’t been any signs of suspicious activity. How’s your end?”

Hanzo rather liked it when they tried to resist interrogating, he had very...convincing ways to make them talk, it usually involved using his kekkei genkai, although Ganki would soon find out how it worked, he couldn't help but get excited over this mission, this was an S-rank mission and could mark a massive turning point in your ninja career if he managed to accomplish this task, and would make the journey to becoming a jounin one step closer, and that was an even more exciting prospect, running his own team, but in the meantime he was happy going freelance and working with various other jounin, it showed that he was a specialist of sorts and could be employed to resolve all sorts of important tasks, it made him feel like a one man special forces team of sorts, which was another desire, he wanted to become a member of Kumogakure's Black Ops at one point and work with a squad, he was a very ambitious person but that was important in a ninja, as ambition created determination, which creates success.
"Yes, sir." He understood clearly, he set off to one of the farms towards the West, which hadn't been hit by this unfortunate pandemic, but it was a likely hit spot as there were quite a lot of livestock in the West, this time he decided it was for the best if he hurried, because he wanted to arrive before anything happened, so you decided to sprint there, hopping from rock to rock with chakra infused leaps, eventually arriving at the farm, he decided to hide behind a rock, covering his face by forming a makeshift balaclava with his scarf, wrapping it around his forehead and mouth, covering his hair, this also gave good protection from the blazing sun of Kumogakure, it was pretty hot here, nowhere near as bad as Sunagakure but damn hot nonetheless.
It seemed as if no one was at the farm, bizarre, but this obviously made the likeliness of an attack far higher, this could be sign of an imminent attack, he was pleased that the rock was of good width and height to hide him completely, but he had other ways of acting should his cover be compromised, he peeked from out of the rock and he noticed a rather wary man, he approached one of the cattle very cautiously, he couldn't quite tell if he was a culprit, but Hanzo's paranoia was going through the roof as the man looked around frantically before taking a step.
"I have suspicious activity, a masked male is approaching one of the cattle, target seems very spooked, he hasn't seen me, but I think this may be one of the targets we are aiming to identify, will suppress as soon as target launches an attack, Hanzo out."
He broadcasted with nothing more than a whisper, thank god the radios were rather sensitive as they were specops grade, so whispers could be clearly heard through the other end, he kept his eyes glued to the target, he watched as the man drew a syringe from his belt, this was Hanzo's clue to launch the attack, "Code red, attempted assault." he jumped on the rock, swiftly leapt off of it and dashed silently towards the enemy, launching a flying kick to his side, sending the man crashing into the floor as the syringe landed softly onto the grass, Hanzo got into a Baji-Quan offensive stance as he crushed the syringe under his boots, there was no chance the needle would get him as his boots were lined with a thin titanium sole, so it could be safely disposed of by force.

Ganki was quite sure that Hanzo could take care of himself; he seemed to be a decent ninja. Ganki would ponder about Hanzo’s well being while he would seemingly stroll herd, keeping an eye on him. However, he would then notice that the Sheppard was in fact eyeing Ganki as well. Ganki would nod his head towards the fellow as he would continue to walk pass the Sheppard. The last thing he would want is to attract attention to himself, his cover was important in this operation. But then as Ganki would walk pass him, he would notice that the Sheppard was wearing old black boots, they also seem to have spots of red residue on them. He would find it strange for a Sheppard to wear boots, even if Ganki didn’t know the full trappings of a Sheppard; the boots left a strange feeling with in Ganki’s mind. Even the vials and needles that were fastened to the man’s belt gave an uneasy vibe, something wasn’t right here, Ganki thought to himself. “Those boots, I only know one place in the village were you would wear those bo-“. He would hear Hanzo’s voice on in his head piece, but due to the high-tech version of the head piece, the Sheppard wouldn’t hear a thing. “Roger Hanzo, proceed when ready”, but then Ganki’s response was quickly followed by Hanzo’s alert; Hanzo’s suspect seemed to have made a move. “What’s your location, have you captured to target?” Ganki would wait for an answer as he would be ready to rush to his Hanzo’s location.

It seemed that the hostile ninja didn't want to go down with a fight, he rolled back and sprung off of his hands and back to his feet, firing a kick towards Hanzo's location, fortunately it wasn't a very well aimed one as Hanzo had ample time to avoid it and punch him in the stomach, the man retaliating with a punch to the face as they both connected with eachother's targets, Hanzo flinched a bit and took a step back, shaking the dizziness off as his enemy regained his breath from the winding that Hanzo gave him, Hanzo really didn't feel like wasting any chakra in this match, he'd need to save it for the storm on their camp, so he would just have to take him out with his knowledge of hand to hand combat, he regained his balance just in time as his foe tried to punch him, said punch was avoided with a quick sidestep and a palm to the diaphragm, winding him yet again as Hanzo wheeled his other arm around and gave him a second, much harder palm to the same spot, adding a rotational force to the momentum of the palm, sending the man flying backwards and sliding across the grass.
Hanzo wasn't ready to let up his guard however he just got back into his position again and readily approached the downed hostile, who jumped back up and produced another syringe, lunging it towards Hanzo, who bent forwards and grabbed his wrist, twisting it to make him release the sharp needle and followed up to a hard knee into the man's stomach, kicking the needle away and giving him a sharp elbow to the back of the head, a sharp thud sound emitting as the man hit the floor unconscious, he spat out some blood infused saliva from when he received the punch to the face which landed onto the grass.
"Hostile subdued, restraining." he spoke as he removed his scarf, performing a knot subduing his hands, the foe now restrained he waited for Ganki so the interrogation could begin.

“I’m on my way; cease any actions until my arrival.” Moments later as the young jounin would rush to his partner; he would arrive to one of the farms out west. He would still be wearing his disguise, to remain under cover. Once he arrived at Hanzo’s location, he would look to see the downed suspect. Ganki would walk towards the secured suspect as he would kneel down to him, while keeping his guard up, for the unexpected tends to happen quite often. While eyeing the subdued suspect, he would examine him. It would appear that this suspect has the same boots as the other Sheppard. “You haven’t begun the interrogation yet have you?” Ganki asked Hanzo this while slightly lifting the unconscious victim’s head, eyeing the dried blood that was left all over his mouth. Ganki also noticed a bump on the head of the victim, he would wonder if the suspect was that big of a threat. “Next time try and capture the target while keeping him conscious, we don’t want him losing any precious information. But anyways, nice job with the capture”
The restrained victim would receive a few slaps to the face, in an attempt to wake him up. As the man came to, Ganki then looked asked Hanzo if he would want to take over with the interrogation, seeing how he somewhat looked forward to this. “Would you like to take over, unless you would want a breather after taking down this foe?” If Hanzo agreed to taking over, Ganki would back away from the victim.
Ganki would actually want to see Hanzo at work with his interrogation skills, a sight that Ganki would analyze himself. Ganki had a slight clue on where the scientist would be kept, but Ganki would let the chunnin gain experience on this S rank mission.

"Yes sir." He simply responded through the communications device, he actually thought he did a good job with all of this, he liked a good fight anyway, while it could've lasted longer it was likely that the said person was more of a scientist than a ninja or simply just not a very trained one, or both, which was probably the more likely.
He waited patiently, still not keeping his eyes off the downed enemy and keeping his guard up, but he seemed unconscious, as he was breathing so this was a good thing, it'd be a pain having to deal with a target who was resisting arrest, that was never a good thing to deal with, it was always a huge pain in the ass, but nonetheless he finally saw Ganki arrive, he didn't take long, which he was relieved about because he just wanted to get this mission done as quickly as possible, the sooner the threat was eliminated the better.
"No, I subdued the target only a couple of minutes ago." He informed, he knew that he should've tried to take him alive, but that presented a chance of escape, especially with a ninja, while he was knocked out he should still have his memories intact, except he probably wouldn't know where he was, and that was just a product of waking up somewhere else.
