Mission:
Sanji had just received his latest mission, a crucial one at that. Konoha's food supply line was seemingly severed and while they were alright for now, to have those farms abruptly cut them off would be potentially devastating in the long run. So Sanji would go see what was the matter by himself. He wouldn't jump to conclusions though he feared that the possible outcome of this would be grim, it could be due to a disagreement in payment negotiations. It was often money conflicts that ended in a bloody mess, so he would do his best to avert that situation, should things escalate so badly that it came to that. No one would be better off during an outcome like that. He personally had no farming experience, so even if Konoha took over the farming operations, who would run them?
Nevertheless he needed to make haste to see what was keeping those shipments. It almost would seem like a blessing if it was simply small-time criminals trying to steal the shipments, but starvation can also be used as a powerful weapon against a village like Konohagakure, because after all, the bigger you are, the more enemies you have. Every mission across borders had the potential to turn into a political disaster. Luckily nothing like that had happened, but sometimes individuals slighted amidst the furor of battle or the completion of a mission can easily turn into antagonists bent on the village's destruction. So Sanji set out with great speed. He had 3 farms to visit to see what was up with their shipments, so he started with the one closest to the village and just southeast of Konoha's walls. His powerful legs carried him swiftly down the path, but he never stopped scanning the area for symptoms of potential obstacles that could have been set up to slow or stop his progress. So far though everything was peaceful.
Even when he arrived at the farm there seemed to be nothing amiss, and the old farmer even greeted him with a wave of his hat." Hello, young shinobi. What can I do for you?" asked the kindly old farmer. Sanji nodded in greeting before bowing respectfully to his elder." Greetings, I've come to inquire about our latest shipment, have you sent it out yet?" He asked. A farmhand soon came walking up, eyeing Sanji warily." Yes we have, has it not arrived?" asked the younger farmer. Sanji looked at him with that deadpan expression as he shook his head." No I'm afraid not. I should go check out the roads and see if the delivery man was ambushed. I'll send word to let you know what happened. Thank you for your time." He says. The old farmer waved in that friendly manner just as Sanji utilized the body flicker technique, disappearing from the place where he stood before them.
Within an instant he was back out on the road, and he ran along various paths encircling the village, nothing seemed amiss. Perturbed, he moved on to the second farm. Again as he spoke with the farmer it was like nothing happened. It was indeed strange. The 3rd farmer said the same thing, but his behavior was erratic, the sight of Sanji before him seemed to make him exceedingly uncomfortable." What's wrong?" asked Sanji quizzically. The farmer abruptly blurted out " You damned ninjas think you're so tough! They send a big goon like you to scare me? Ha! It's not going to work!" Sanji raised his hands in an effort to calm the farmer, but the man soon pulled a knife." You'll leave if you know what's good for ya! You can all starve for all I care!" exclaimed the farmer. Sanji's body seemed to disappear from where he stood, and he instantly reappeared behind him, easily disarming him and taking the knife away. Just then he heard familiar whizzing sounds, and he picked up the farmer before leaping away toward a barn." Go inside and hide!" he said. The farmer obeyed without a word.
Just then two haggard looking ninjas came to stand before him. Sanji's face turned grim as he stared them down, when one spoke up." Thanks for the supplies, Leaf scum. The crimson brotherhood thanks you." said the ninja. The crimson brotherhood? He'd never heard of them, though it didn't sound good. Before Sanji could even reply the two charged from both sides, forming seals as they ran. Sanji too began forming seals when the two ninjas yelled in unison," Fire release: Twin blaze!". Just then, two identical shafts of fire rushed toward Sanji, prompting him to leap into the air. He held his jutsu until he saw what would happen. The two shafts of fire seemed to intertwine like snakes and spiral up toward him." Water release: Wild water wave" thought Sanji as he held two fingers next to his mouth, abruptly spewing forth a massive stream of water, enough to easily quell the fire style jutsu.
He came to land in front of them and they both formed the same seals, but he wouldn't let it happen again." Let's see who runs out of chakra first!" said the larger of the two ninjas. He was the one Sanji rushed first, the man looking rather surprised that someone as big as Sanji was moving so fast. Before he could react he delivered a cruel kick to his leg at the knee. With the kind of power Sanji has, his knee hyperextended and folded under itself, his leg completely broken." Fire release: Great - AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" the second ninja would soon exclaim. No sooner than Sanji had taken out the other ninja's leg, he ran forward and thrust his fist right into the man's own right hand, utterly shattering it to the point that bone splinters pierced the skin. He dragged the two literally by their shirts down the winding road, and into the village. He would leave them at the interrogation center, and before they were even taken in, they confessed to where the missing supplies were. Sanji personally escorted the recovery team, and sure enough, an hour later they were bringing in carts with crates on them, many of them at that. The food supplies were secure but they'd still have to be tested in case they were poisoned. For now, the issue was resolved and Sanji went to get his reward.
