A Charged Meeting (Private, NK)

Ukita would feel as he impacted Fai yet again with his improvised tackle. In his mind he chalked up another point for himself, however he was still quite a few points behind. It was rather odd how a fight could be trivialized as a game-then again most anything could be. The score was still lopsided and it became more so when Fai managed to throw Ukita to the ground for the fourth time-it was honestly getting old. Landing on the ground again Ukita gave a slight sigh. It no longer hurt. He was far past hurting. Right now all he had on his mind was winning. A singular goal that was burned in his mind. It was odd how having one goal consume you made one all the more reckless, but Ukita was far past the point of caring. He quickly regained his feet and stood up facing Fai.

At this point the rain had gone from light drizzle to torrential downpour-it seemed that the weather had chosen to reflect the tempo of the fight. Over the rolling thunder Ukita could hear Fai speak about how this should be the last attack. Ukita did not have time for words or rather he worried that if he tried to speak the last of his fighting spirit would escape him rending him a floundering fish out of water at the mercy of Fai, which he would not allow. Standing strong in the relentless rain Ukita would focus his eyes in on the task at hand: Fai. Ukita watched intensively as Fai weaved various hand seals. It was an odd set that Ukita had never seen before. Normally Ukita would take advantage of the time given by an oppent making hand seals to press the attack and bring the battle to the enemy, however he needed to keep up his strength and he did not want to charge in at Fai. Fai had proven that he was fairly good at taijutsu along with ninjutsu. It seemed that most of his power was derived from the odd seal on his arm. Ukita could not see much definition in the chakra, but he could see the massive amount coming from that seal-odd Ukita never remembered learning about seals in the academy. Putting the thought out of his mind Ukita returned his attention to the battle-he could ask about the seal at a later date.

Upon returning his attention back to Fai as he began to speak for a second time. Ukita processed what Fai told him, but more importantly he saw with his eyes as red as blood. The massive chakra output that was now cascading from Fai's hand. From what Ukita knew about Fai, thus far it would seem that this would be another lightning jutsu. However, this was not the run of the mill jutsu it seemed to exude an aura that almost frightened Ukita. All he knew for sure was that he would not like to get hit by an attack of that magnitude-it would probably be fatal. After finishing speaking Fai rushed at Ukita. Ukita's mind raced and his eyes analyzed. He had very few options and he knew he could not take this jutsu head on. Not having all that much time to think Ukita ran straight at the oncoming Fai who still looked like...like...like a dragon that was what it was. Still racing at Fai he would prime himself for the implementation of his plan. Once he came within a meter of Fai Ukita hit the deck. He was sliding on the now ever so slightly muddy ground in such a way that he would pass the oncoming Fai on the opposite side of the hand that had the lightning issuing from it-this would hopefully preclude Fai from striking Ukita as he would have to stop and reach across his body to reach him. The attack did not stop there as Fai ran by the sliding Ukita he would reach out his hand and attempt to grab Fai's passing foot at the ankle. If successful it would trip Fai and send him into a face plant in the now muddy battleground.

The rain suddenly changed coming down like the heavens themselves were crying. His hair was now everywhere as he ran towards Ukita. He could not change his direction at all so if he was going to anything this was the time. They would almost be neck and neck as he would see Ukita slide under him, a tactic he did not even think to use. He would feel his weight shift to the muddy earth below him as the jutsu cancelled. He would get up slowly looking at the ground," Nice move i am really impressed, but now it is on," his face having a large smile on it. He would slowly rub the mud off as he stood there for a moment.

Something clicked in his head but he paid it no mind as he looked at the boy in front of him, but now he wanted to have fun. Fai would make a couple of hand signs as a clone appeared beside him, and would take a stance similar to his. His hand would glow as he darted to Ukita, throwing a swift right jab to his gut. If this were to connect, he would no go flying back yet the ground would tremor at the pure impact of the punch. After the hit, the clone would slide underneathe Fai and deliver an uppercut sending Ukita into the air. After all was said and don, Fai would wait until his body almost hit the ground to deliver a punch with enough force to send him a little into the ground, not killing the boy but hurting him alot. Fai would jump back to where the clone was and shake his wrist a little," maybe a bit to much was put into that, but your okay right," he asked as the put his hand over his forehead squinting at the hole.

It would not take Fai long to realize something as he dropped to his knee and sat there for a moment. There was nothing wrong with him but he was quickly hit with a strange feeling. It was coming from the hole Ukita was in and it did not feel so right. As he stayed there for a moment he would send the clone him to the hole to check out and see if Ukita was still alive.

Blood and mud...blood and mud was all Ukita could think of, see, smell, taste and oddly enough hear. His attack had come through, but at what cost? At the time Fai got to his feet, so did Ukita. Ukita, despite launching the attack had come out all the worse for it. He was now covered in mud and the blood from his earlier headbutt attempt, such that it trickled ever so slightly down his face like some weird rain drop from hell. It was then that it hit Ukita: he could not move his body. The culmination of the fight and the beating he had taken left him tired and worn out. Furthermore, it was at this point looking at Fai, that he noticed that it was not his own strength that had brought him this far-NO. It was, in fact, the weird change that had happened in his eyes. He was still not sure what it was, but they were the true reason that he had even come this far. These eyes had given him power beyond what he would have normally been able to wield and hell he didn't even know where they came from. As these thoughts of dependency came across his mind a sharp pain came across his eyes. Unbeknownst to him, save for the pain, three tomes now swam in his eyes like some black fish in a pond of blood.

All at once everything seemed to slow down even further. What had happened? It was like everything was in slow motion. Each rain drop, each twitch from Fai-he saw it in detail like he never had before. What was this new found power? What ever it was Ukita liked it-he liked it a lot. Unfortunately this new ocular level did not restore his sapped stamina. He was spent it was all he could do to stand up tall and be ready for what was no doubt to come. He watched like a standing corpse as Fai ran at him with a clone. His eyes followed each and every move, but his body was not too ready to respond. As Fai drew near his body reacted on pure and utter instinct there was very little he could do about it. In five quick hand signs it was done-it was the one move they had outlined in the rules that was not allowed. Ukita was done he could not sustain much more damage, so this move was the only way to save his own skin. It was lucky that there had been so many logs that littered the field (see first few posts). Fai's attack would indeed hit, however he would find that he had hit a nice sized log as opposed to Ukita. Ukita himself would be standing where a log formerly was-to the left of the crater that Fai would have made by five meters.

At this point the rain calmed down to a dull roar. Calling out to Fai he apologized weakly: "Sorry, man...I cant go on much longer like this. You win for now.....I will want a rematch soon though...I will beat you eventually just not today." Ending his short speech Ukita put up a weak smile rose his right hand in hopes that Fai would come and shake it. Ukita believed that this was the start of both a great friendship and rivalry. One that these two could keep going for a long time-it would allow both to get stronger and smarter. One day Ukita would beat Fai, but not today-that is what would fuel him for now. To surpass this other genin. Hopefully they would both grow at the same rate such that their fights would always be interesting. After this spar Ukita would have a loit of questions for Fai about that seal of his-maybe they could go grab some ramen that would be good and would allow both them time to get to know each other a bit better seeing as right now they were mere strangers who met at the fickle whim of fate.

Fai would soon clash with Ukita's body or so he thought as his fist shattered a long. Looking around he would see Ukita standing as he spoke. Fai would smile and walk over and shake his hand," i have a feeling we could be good friends, how about joining my team, currently its only me but with you i think we could make the best team in Kumo so what do you say partner," as he shook his hand. He would look at him," want to grab some food and hang out, and sorry for all the damage man," he laughed sheepishly. He would release his clone as he looked up at the sky,"so what would you like to do Ukita," as he looked back down at him. This fight brought out the best in each boy and through it they became friends

Ukita happily shook Fai's hand. Pulling his hand away at the right time he listened to Fai speak. What he said sounded more than reasonable. However, Ukita had never been on a team before, so he was not exactly sure how it would work out-he figured he would figure it out as he went along. What was the worst that could happen? Looking down at himself Ukita replied to Fai: "Sounds like a plan, but I think to really have a team we will need one more person, but that is for another time. Let's go grab some chow. I could eat a horse or three." Quite honestly Ukita was a mess-blood mud and sweat a amalgam of all things putrid, but the ramen bar of Kumogakure had probably seen worse. But, that did not matter. Taking tentative step he found that he was in control of his body again. In a blink of the eye the red eyes he once had were gone leaving only his normal eyes. They tingled a bit, but were none the worse for wear. Ukita took a few more steps and then went on his way to the ramen bar. Yelling over his shoulder to Fai he hoped he was following: "Ya coming or what?"

Laughing as the rain began to calm down, he would look at Ukita," your right but we can always find a third later right," as he bagan to walk behind him. Nothing said awesome like fresh ramen. So as they began to walk Fai would remove some of the mud off of him as they talked a bit. Fai would only have a little blood on him and his body was little heavy but he did not mind at all, heck if that fight went on forever they both would have passed out laughing at each other. As Ukita spoke he would laugh," yea yea im coming," as he walked behind him
